Be aware of a rude young woman who works in the blind/rug area. Purchased a blind from Menards and brought it back today (10/30) around 12:45pm because it needed to be trimmed. I went to the customer service desk and told the woman in customer service that I needed to have it trimmed a few inches or return the blind. I was told to take the blind to the back and see if it could be cut to size. So after waiting 10 minutes and having to ask two employees, a female employee with black hair was sent to cut it. As soon as she walked over to me she had an attitude. I told her that I was sent back by customer service. She was very rude and unprofessional and told me that they dont cut the particular blind I purchased because it is the cheap kind. She had no reason to comment on the price of them, which was very rude and just poor customer service. She proceeded to comment twice how cheap these particular blinds are. Lowes, home Depot and the Evendale menards location provide better customer service and dont employ people who insult their customers. Would give zero stars if I could.

How could you not love Menards, they have almost everything. And the people that work there are all so nice and willing to help you.

Huge selection of lumber, hardware, paint, housewares and even nonperishable foods. We bought a set of Menards Performax garage benches and steel cabinets. The assembly directions were clear, and I was able to put everything together single-handedly. The steel is not flimsy and the finish is good.Their 11% rebate (as a store credit) is great for large purchases, but it is mail-in and hardly worth the postage and effort for less than a $40.00 purchase. I would hope that they would streamline the process by making it digital.

Man, I just can’t take it with menards anymore. I came here for material that there said there was 60 of them available online… I get there and there was only 25. Then I drove 40 minutes to go get material at Miamisburg menards. I called Miamisburg menards to confirm that they had the material… they went out and counted it for me. I get there, and the material that they counted was the wrong material in the wrong sku spot… of course, they were actually sold out of what I needed.

This was only the second time since the stores opening that I have been inside . I have always heard what selection they have at Menards. I was disappointed. Yes, they have a lot of things but lack variety of the items they do gave. Only two kinds of water softener salt and 8 whole refrigerator selections. No one acknowledged me, much less offered to help. Very disappointing.From a Covid perspective, they appeared compliant with masks in the front of the store but towards the back both customers and employees slowly ignored.

A lot of stuff but too much! Hard to find or get help! More like a Warehouse than a store. Too much product and not enough help on the floor! But, thats what this country has come to! Good luck shopping there. You better know exactly what you want before you get there. Or youll be spending your life there trying to get help!

Menards generally has what Im looking for. The employees are helpful and if you ask where something is, they will actually walk you there instead of just giving you directions. We have been dealing with a gentleman in the Plumbing department by the name of Connor. He really knows his stuff and has been extremely helpful.

They mixed order up but covered the issue great and took care of all issues it caused and got order to me a day early. Great job i thought.

There was a specific item I wanted & was happy to see Menards had it for the best price with a rebate. I did not realize until I received the rebate in the mail that its only good for in store purchases. I contacted Menards hoping theyd do right by the customer & let me use the rebate online (the nearest store to me is 1000 miles away). But they did not. I would have been better off buying elsewhere. I will be throwing out this useless rebate & letting everyone I know to beware of Menards.

Do not rent tools from Bridgewater falls Menards!I rented schafoldding from them and had to keep it longer than expected. I called to ask the amount owed the gentleman working told me $80.00 was owed so I kept it for 6 more days.When I returned it they told me I owed $500.00.I did not get the guys name that told me the bill was $80.00 6 days before returning it so I had to pay the $500.00.I could of bought the scaffolding for less than $500.00 brand new.Never have had such a bad experience like I did dealing with the worker in the tool rental department!

Very pleasant experience walking around. Prices are inflated right now but menards had some pretty good rebates to keep you coming back if youre diligent about making them in. Great selection and variety. There are times when some items are not where you think they should be but at least they are there. The staff is helpful and seem to be knowledgeable.

Staff needs to be trained on dept they are working in. Too much avoiding customers instead of offering help.

I will never be back to Menards after my experience today! Ordered $700 in plywood for pickup. I get there and my order is not ready... ok no biggie Ill get it myself. Cant find the plywood I ordered. The email they sent me is bugged and wouldnt let me pull up my order. Not a single person helped me while I was back there and the people working were just walking around aimlessly. I go inside to get a refund. They lady working the counter doesnt apologize, ask if they can still fix it or anything. Just sets my refund up and calls a manager to approve the refund. Well here he comes staring at his phone the whole time. Walks up doesnt say a word or even look me in the eyes and just swipes his badge and walks away looking at his phone. Horrible customer service! Will absolutely never spend a dime there again!

Ive been going to Menards for years now and have never been disappointed with their vast supply of everything you could possibly need for Home Maintenance or Construction.Their 11% sales are great and they have a decent selection of Christmas trees one of which we just purchased again this year. Just tonight saw their huge selection of Siding & Roofing materials and was impressed by the wide selection and the knowledge of the counter sales person. Still giving it 5 stars after all this time. Congrats to the Menards Team.

TO ALL SINGLE PARENTS: Menards dont want your business if your children are under 16! They wont allow any children 16 and under in their store, but if youre a single parent what are you supposed to do with your kids while youre shopping? Leave them in the car on a hot summer day? I dont think so, but HOME DEPOT will gladly accept your business and allow your children in their stores, thats what Im doing today!

As always the store was not crowded around 10:30 am on a weekday. There were clear aisles and plenty of cashiers. The garden center was open but no cashier even with temperatures heading into the 70s...in and out quickly.

Well stocked! While others are out of things Menards makes sure to keep the shelves stocked!

Found a decent deal on refrigerator. Unbelievable the prices of appliances nowadays. And they deliver for a price but thats life. Happy with my choice after looking at junk.

Seems like, anytime I go to get something there, theyre out or theres not enough in stock. Got a propane tank exchange, the machine was broken. The person at the service desk immediately took care of me. Later, when I connected the tank, it didnt work. Not necessarily their fault. Still, doesnt leave a person feeling great. Especially with a grill full of food. Had to take a secondary empty tank to a closer place to pay again for an exchange. I havent contacted Menards yet to get another tank to replace the one I already paid for. Ill let you know how it goes.

Nice store, good selection, helpful staff. But, they play a very annoying jingle over the PA every 5 minutes. Over and over. It became so irritating that I left and went to another big box hardware store nearby.

Menards mixes things up by also allowing you to shop for food and other things you wouldnt normally find at Lowes or Home Depot (like glitter for painting walls! *home depot*)I am a bit concerned with the diversity among the staffing. Ive shopped here for years and cant recall a time where Ive seen a non-white American. Just me tho.

Best Menards around town. I have a 1yr old baby and they are always patient and so helpful to me with him. I know Menards is a chain store, so the fact that the employees can make it feel so comfortable and locally familiar is what keeps me coming back. Thanks 👍

My husband absolutely loves this place. Hes a professional painter he can come and get his roller heads or his paint brushes or whatever he needs for you know for that job here. They got everything just about everything that you would need to fix a home or do it yourself project whatever it may be.

They had everything I needed to repair my Flux Capacitor. So I can go back to the future.

Usually very happy with Menards, except today. I purchase a lot of trim-baseboard, crown, and door. Today that department was a complete mess, styles out of place, no stock, trim in the wrong sized slots. I had to settle on baseboard that wasnt the correct material. I hope they can get it together in this department.

Menards is always great for finding anything you may want. This location is very clean. My only thing is that it feels like there are less workers to help you when you need it. My husband and I were there for 40 minutes and needed help but couldnt track anyone down.

Stock on web not right, asked for 65 boards, only had 62, web now shows 3 left when there is none and I told them this .also gate attendant informs me he is not allowed to ask you if you need help loading, you must ask. So loaded 62 boards by myself 2x6 16 foot, help in yard seem to disappear, Im sure they were told over radio what I was there for, 2 drove away when I entered building to pick up. What a place!!! Well I guess I can spend the rest of the $5,000 somewhere else for the job

Dont get caught up in their rebate claim. We are still waiting on two 11% rebates from MAY 2020 totaling over $150. Their products are not good enough to separate themselves from the other box hardware stores so just go to the other stores and see yourself the time and hassle of trying to shop at Menards

Photos below)1) Today and the reason for this final straw..this review-is because i got ran over by a freight train stocker, rushing to stock his aisles with his loading cart so full he could not stop in time and plowed my shopping cart right the hell over-as he jumped out of the way. Did not say sorry, simply waved me through. Totally my fault right? Was there a stop sign i missed?2)On 9.12.2017-Photos belowIn the-afternoon I went to the Princeton store and ran into this lift blocking an aisle (one of the three pictures)... with no aisle blockers or assistance. He does not even bother to strap in (to protect his own life, look closely), to stay safe 15 feet off the ground, I bet he has done this before. I watched 2 employees glance up and not one corrected his actions. I want you to look at these pictures very carefully (notice how he is not harnessed in) and tell me how they are being safe, or for your safety, if something falls on you.... Does your child know better to not walk underneath this? What if he lowers it with a person under it?3) and also 4) I have let things slide over and over during my visits such as hot-rod forklift drivers outside driving FULL speed FORKS FIRST with a load in front (no spotter) no horn usage. As you and i both know this WILL KILL someone or a child if they run out in front or try to slip past and get pinched behind. One guy was not even wearing a seatbelt. Apparently you do not need it? Then, several days later I was over near the mulch and 2 or 3 people on the other side of the wall I overheard employees talking (not helping you guys with bricks two aisles over loading your own cars...true story folks.. and dropping the F-bomb talking about a situation they had earlier (April 2017). These were all employees. In the garden area, if you like 2nd hand smoke waufting your way... by all means go inside the garden area...the smoke area is just outside..go on pick your plant and take a deep breath.. Just ban smoking at your store Managers.. easy solved..The unfortunate thing about this facility is they have a turn over of about 60-70% per year, and although they may think the practices and training are working, the newer the persons, they tend to forget or not care.. and above all important, safety goes away. Seems that after 3 years clear problems have become evident: you worry about your department and we will worry about ours, anyone in charge of the floor, even the HEAD cashier just sits at the desk every time I am there talking to employees stopping by catching up like a social visit. In the end as an employee here your acting alone and no one cares what you do. So long as you get your task done. Familiar to most chain stores.This does not mean your safety should be at risk Customers be warned here...Early 3 years ago and 4 and 5 years ago this place was awesome, with attention to all detail. Seems they have steered off course.

My experience at Minnards. All of the store employees that Ive interacted with are professional, knowledgeable, and very friendly.They arent the reason for one star! On July 5, 2020 I purchased an air conditioner for $394.00 ( including taxes). I mailed my receipt and rebate documents on July 10, 2020. The rebate would be about $38. I waited and waited and was told repeatedly that it was taking about 2 months to process the rebate! Really?! At this time in history where most business transactions occur from a few minutes to a couple of days!Finally the management at the store told me to resend the receipt and rebate information because theyre processing the rebates faster. So I did.Today, on November 2, 2020, I was informed by management that its taking about 4 months! And by resubmitting my rebate information as they recommended, my rebate would take even longer!As a company I believe Mennards needs to be more transparent and honest about promising 11% rebates that may take a decade or two to process! At the rate theyre processing the rebates, most of the customers who have been waiting for their rebates will have died of old age.
