The common area was empty when I arrived on a Sunday evening, so I didnt have to stand in line. I placed my desired order with ease and the service was not extraordinary. The confection seemed to take approximately 5 or so minutes to make. I enjoyed my treat but would not rate it up there with other ice cream/desserts Ive had. I thought was just ok. I liked it though and this place is worth a visit if youre in the area and looking to try rolled ice cream.

Called to inquire if they have vegan options, was told specially that they do have vegan ice cream just not vegan whip cream. Drove over, 8 minutes later to find out they dont. And manner closed the door so they didnt have to speak with us. Smdh They did pull out of fridge a bottle labeled non dairy, but where told it was in fact dairy. :(

This is the 1st time I have been to an ice cream place like this. Definitely an experience, especially for children. You are able to watch them prepare your item. My daughter and I will remember this forever, especially being able to order the Mardi Grad King Cake roll. By far the best one on the menu.

I had never had rolled ice cream before going to Sweet Rolls. I thought it was gimmicky and didnt see the point, but I can say now that I have been converted over to the cult of the rolled ice cream.I tried the coffee and donuts rolled ice cream and it was the best coffee ice cream Ive tried in my 32 years of life. The way they combine the ingredients, spread the ice cream on the cold surface, then roll it up, really brings out the flavors mixed into ice cream while also enhancing the textural experience.All in all, it was great. (Ive never written this much about ice cream before)

We absolutely loved our experience at Sweet Rolls. The coffee choice was really good. I must say we probably will not stop in too many times as the prices are a bit on the high side. Other than that, definitely a place to try at the very least one time.

Very nice ice cream rolls over there, and great friendly workers! You can sit and chill while waiting on your ice cream and also watch them how they make it! Very interesting little place! Parking is one problem tho...

Rolled ice cream (vegan option available), smoothies, and more, with fun weekly special flavors (we had the king cake flavor for Mardi Gras). They nailed two out of our three ice cream dishes. The third was okay, but not incredibly flavorful, and for these prices, you hope to be wowed. Its $7+ for a generous-sized dish. I wish they had smaller sizes available. I couldnt finish all of mine and wouldve been happier paying $4 for half the size. Its a new place and does get very busy, but the wait times arent too bad. Hand-rolled ice cream is labor intensive but they have a small army of people working on it, and you get to watch the magic of the cream becoming ice cream right before your eyes so the time passes quickly. We were told 45 minutes, but it was less than 20.

Well what can I say when I first walked into the environment the first thing I noticed was hair hair and more hair. Every one that worked behind the counter had their hair up in a ponytail that was just waving all around the Cold Stones that were about to make my ice cream. It would have been a different story if the hair was up in a ponytail braided or in a hair bun or something no. The hair was just loose waving around. My experience with any kind of food industry youre supposed to wear a hairnet. Next thing dont go there if you have intentions on taking your ice cream home. They have nothing for you to transport your ice cream home. Meaning they have no cups with tops nothing they just give you this pretty beautiful dessert and no way to transport. Which is a real bummer considering I have friends and family that I would love to share my eating experiences with and this is the only way I know how to buy bringing what I have home to them . The environment was very friendly until I decided to ask for something 2 pack my ice cream home. She stated she didnt have anything I said okay will do you have a bag or anything no we dont Im sorry. Walk back over to where I was sitting, and it suddenly got quiet. Keep in mind the whole time I was there all you could hear was the beating of the ice cream on the Cold Stones. I turned around to look to see the little girl that I asked for some form of to-go cup or something to transport my ice cream home was playing a childish Act and telling all of her other associates what my problem was how did I know this was happening because it got immediately quiet and everyone was ganged up around her so she could tell her story. Keep in mind by it being so quiet I could hear what she was saying because nobody was banging on their ice cream Stones anymore. Yes the ice cream is amazing but the hair flopping around and attitudes that just ruined it for me.

Jam packed on a Saturday night but well worth the wait! Fresh ice cream made to order? Yes indeed! Who could ever say no to a waffle taco?The staff are super friendly and courteous despite long lines. Very family friendly and outside seating. Loved the laignappe of 90s music in the background. We will be back!

We love coming here. The ice cream is delightful. Kind of expensive but once you taste this piece of heaven it is worth every penny. One order is big enough for my two boys to share. I dont share mine though.

Rarely do I get ice cream, but Sweet Roles advertises that they have sugar free options so I stopped in. Evidently they only advertise it because they don’t stock it. Poor management strikes again.

Good ice cream, fair prices, lovely atmosphere, convenient location. Easily the best ice cream shop in Hammond. I go there with my dog and my daughter and have a good time sitting outside people watching while eating rolled ice cream. Highly recommend.

My fiance and I come here typically after a day of errands out here in Hammond. Its great the service is always fast and the young ladies are always polite. Those girls work really fast to get orders done and the presentation is ALWAYS beautiful 😊😊😊 I recommend on any relaxing day, hot day or just for a sweet treat.

I absolutely love sweet rolls! My favorite is the gentilly roll, I love having the fresh fruits and little almond cake piece. I usually get mine without the extra creme on top. I like the bright and overall layout of the store. I also tried the scoop of raspberry cheesecake and it was wonderful.

Visited here all the way from Mississippi, heard all the hype and wanted to see about it. Well, I was not disappointed!I had the Pralines & Cream and it was a large portion, worth every penny. The work that goes into creating this treat was greatly appreciated. Those girls work hard.Yes there was a line, but Im not a whiner, Its not fast food, go to sonic for that! This is created from scratch with real fruits and goodies, you cant rush perfection.Some once said you can have it good, cheap or fast but you can only choose twoI will back.

Great atmosphere, very inviting. It was a nice experience, however not sure if would return. I ordered the key lime pie. I tasted the Graham cracker the sweet cream was lacking sweetness and couldnt really taste the key lime. My taste buds were exciting when entering but disappointed when leaving. My guest had the cheesecake, she said it was alright. However she ate it all. She sled it. I may try again on my next visit to downtown Hammond . If so Ill try something different .

Very unique and fun concept to the age old tradition of going out for ice cream! A fun place for kids or to stretch out a date. Everything was delicious and the service was prompt and friendly. It was packed for a Thursday, I wont bet on getting a table on a weekend. But dont let that stop you!

Cool concept, but their operations need refinement. I watched mine get made while I was in line, and it sat at the topping station for about 10 minutes. They aren’t topped in the order they’re finished, so mine sat there melting while others were finished up. They need to figure out some kind of better method for that.

Limited menu. Not sure if that is how every location is because this is the first time I have been to one. Kinda confused on options. Novelty of watching the employees roll the ice cream was fun!

I can understand the price if it was good. I gotThe signature sweet roll and the Chucks of roll were stale and hard and no taste. My daughter had the Oreo and she said it was good. The place is clean and people are friendly though.

1st time here and loved the experience and the ice cream. Manager came up to us as we looked over the menu. He asked if we had been here before. We said no and he explained the menu to us and how if you wanted you could create your own roll. Was a bit of a wait but well worth it. Not overly sweet ice cream but perfect with the roll ins. I see there is one now in Covington closer to where I live. I will definitely checking it out.

Sweet Rolls is awesome! The picture shown is Wedding Cake, Mardi Gras King Cake and Cookies and Cream. They were all wonderful. This was my first time having rolled ice cream and the experience was great! The general manager came to speak with my family and I to make sure everything was great which was cool. They also provide job opportunities for college students, which is amazing. I don’t live in Hammond, LA, but I’ll definitely be back when I’m traveling there again.

The whole experience was amazing, and it was all because of Trey Zulli. He was a very hard worker and was very kind. Definitely deserves a raise.

We went to visit for Mothers Day, I expected it to be busy, no problem. Waited in line for about 15 minutes to then be told it would be about an hour wait, and that probably wouldnt have even stopped us from ordering, but what did was noticing the young adults looking extremely over worked and understaffed. My husband even commented on how unhappy the employees looked. He told the guys at the counter, good luck. One of them responded with We need it, and we walked away.

The best rolled Ice cream of any place weve been, and weve tried a bunch of places. Staff is always friendly.

The ice cream here is amazing. The ice cream itself is easily 5 stars. Unfortunately the wait can be an hour or longer at peak times, the place is small and if you use a wheelchair or have trouble standing for long periods, I dont see how you could reasonably wait here. I also witnessed various small health infractions. One girl was not wearing her hat, several had aprons that needed changing, and I watched one girl fiddle with the neck loop on her apron, clearly making contact with her hair with her gloved hands, and go right back to prep work without washing her hands or changing gloves. I love the decor and the 90s music, but the acoustics of the room make it hard to hear anything over the music, the people in the long line, and the pounding of the ice cream being prepared.But the ice cream is still amazing.

First time here, and before we could order I noticed the person taking orders was handling money, and the ice cream cups. He was also PLACING HIS HANDS IN THE INSIDE OF THE CUPS!!!!!! This was very unsanitary, so when we made it to the counter to order, we insisted that he not handle our cups in the same manner!!!!!! This has to be looked into ...just to see how many people he waited on prior to waiting on us is staggering ......Other than that pretty good experience.

Was very dissappointed in what I paid over $8 for. The girl spread the mixture on the board and it did not even cover the entire square she was supposed to be able to make. 3 of the rolls were not full rolls and the last one was only half the height of the others... Very very dissappointed. The other ones being made around mine were made correctly it seemed. Mixture was spread to the full capacity of what it was supposed to be.

After wearing the same gloves for who knows how long and touching everything in that place and then PICKS UP my rolls with her hands instead of the utensils that are supplied for her! Food contamination and bad attitudes are the reasons I will not be giving them my business anymore!

Great for an occasional good job or thank you treat for my kids especially since it is kind of expensive. Its fun to watch them make it and I never go when Im in a rush because it can take a long time.
