Bandera coffee is the best coffee shop I’ve been to. The workers and owners are nicest people and the design of the shop is perfect. The Tormenta coffee is to die for. You get more than enough for your money here.

Incredible drink 🥤 the orange blossom was incredible. Made me feel I was actually underneath the Sakura trees in Japan. The flavor of this drink is incredible. Will be back for a lot more.

Great atmosphere. These folks are coffee experts. This is a locally owned family operation. They have obsessed over the entire coffee making process, and gives the customer the delicious results. They can make your coffee however you like and they have got some nice coffee alternatives. They also have local locally made fresh baked goods.Free wifi, and a clean spacious restroom with changing table.

Never once have I had a bad experience. Great selection of Coffee, clean restroom, Wifi works great, very friendly staff that remembers your drinks. Looking at everything in my opinion its the best coffee shop in the valley. Really great place to study.

Been a fan of la tormenta for a long time hot or iced depending on the weather! Recently, tried their grapefruit shandy and I’m hooked! Atmosphere is great, big lounge couches would be nice but of course not ideal for covid reasons. consistency, is a big dealbreaker for me, and bandera has been consistent every single time I’ve been there!

It was my first time visiting this place and I had a pleasant experience. They two gentlemen behind the counter were polite and took their time while I took in my options as it was my first visit here. I asked if they had any pastries and while they were out, one of the employees immediately left to replenish their supply and was back in moments. The vanilla iced latte I ordered was great and I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone

Cool little place with great espresso. It did feel a little awkward, the staff were reserved and not overly polite, and it was poorly lit (especially in the back), but overall it was kinda cool. I see what they are going for...at least I think I do.Update - we came back and the staff were amazing. We love this place!

Literally stopped at this place on a whim, and I am SO glad I did. I had no idea what to order, except that it had to be sweet and iced, and the barista recommended an iced latte made with horchata. That was the best coffee drink I’ve had in a long time!! The ambiance was relaxed and trendy. Wish I lived closer, just so I could go again

The environment is very nice. Very chill and welcoming! It was my first time visiting and they were very nice and helpful. My iced coffee didnt need any adjusting, it came out exactly like I like it. I was little skeptical at the beginning but once I saw the guy preparing our pour over and smelling and finally tasting it wow it was perfect.. the Guatemala one was great next time I’ll try the Ethiopian, place was spacious, friendly people, comfy chairs, nice environment and great music... overall I will definitely back

We absolutely supporting local coffee shops! My husband and I were in Harlingen for a business meeting twice and both times we stopped to check out this local coffee shop. The first time we just got a basic latte, which was delicious! The second time we came by we tried a latte that had turmeric and one that had beetroot, both were unique and just the kind of drinks we search for when getting coffee. We hope to be back in the area soon, so we can try more! The staff was very kind and helpful in explaining what they had available, which is something we really appreciate.

Not that there are too many choices in that town but thankfully Bandera was amazing three random times in a row. Amazing coffee, awesome china, friendly staff and if you are lucky enough to have a choice of pastry - Any one is amazing truly!

I’ve been coming to this place since it opened and I must say, it’s my favorite coffee joint in Harlingen and probably the Rio Grande Valley. Every drink is hand crafted meticulously with care and expertise to make the best cup of joe around. They also don’t stop at the traditional espresso drinks you might find at other coffee shops, but delve into a myriad of out of the box options such as the tormenta and espresso tonic, which are simply fantastic. Make sure to come by and visit this locally owned and operated coffee shop and they might just surprise you with something new!

We went here several times while we were visiting the area. The coffee was consistently great each time even with different baristas. Honestly, one of the best coffee shops Ive ever been to. Everyone working there was pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend the flat white.

Normally I would give this place a higher rating, but recently we visited with my parents, and the owner was rude when we asked to add another chair to the table seating four. My wife asked politely and still we got a sassy response. Not really a smart move since we were bringing in new customers, my mom was completely turned off to the place after that. I recommend you treat your customers better, we had been spreading the word about this place to many people, but now my wife isnt even sure she wants to go back.

First time here so cant comment on the quality of the coffee but the atmosphere was nice and it was very clean and offered a nice private setting. The decor could use a little more personalization and it was odd ordering off the chalk board, I wanted a menu to look at as it was my first time there. Definitely going back but a few small improvements will go a long way here.

Overall fantastic place, one of the best shops in the RGV. Kind baristas, and very calming vibes, Ill always recommend Bandera to anyone.

Amazing coffee! Price is a little more than I would pay but definitely worth it. The fresh brew is so rich and flavorful. I wouldnt drink it everyday but every chance I can, Id grab an iced mocha. They even make their own, its a must try.

This is the best spot in the Valley! I moved here from NYC where there are a ton of great coffee shops, I was super pumped when this place opened, I go there all the time. The coffee is amazing and the baristas are super cool and friendly. Also I think as a community we should support local businesses. I would give this place 100000 stars if I could, Go check it out!

I recently ordered a cafe au lait and a couple of macarons for pick up, and I was satisfied with their quality and taste. My coffee was rich and smooth, and I enjoyed the pastries too. A lot of the time macarons can be too hard, but these were perfectly made. 😊

Forget about waiting in that starbucks line. This place has oatmilk as an option and it is delicious. They also have Almond milk. They have a patio if you bring your for legged babies too. (Fur babies) Check it out!

Its nice but its very lonely. The outside back patio needs work. I go for the hot vanilla latte. Theres one barista that makes it perfect, the others dont. Its a hit or miss due to this.

I love the quality of the coffee and the friendly staff. We always see the same guy so I assume he owns it. It is a bit pricey but you can taste the difference then if you go to Starbucks, Dunkin donuts, Shipleys, any fast food restaurant and order their coffee. It is a big difference since it doesnt have that weird after taste some coffee has and its so smooth. I am trying my best to describe it. The cookies are awesome, try the little ones with the cajeta inside. I didnt see any frozen coffee and I wish there were pictures of what some looked like, but thats just me. I order by image :P, but I love it here. Its a nice place to study in. Its quite and relaxing which can counteract the stress from school.
