Marble slab is usually my go to ice cream shop, i walked in and noticed a new employee Mia who seemed to be under the influence of some kind of drug. completely butchered both my friends and my ice cream.

The lady is nice and communicates which I like but I went and there was no ice cream in the cases. The place is very dark and always looks like it’s close. They have very limited toppings and no fruit toppings. Also they say they do not do rewards which makes me sad because I got ice cream but not points. I’ve been to way better marble slabs in which I pay full price for all toppings and get reward points.

This place opens for bussiness @ 12 pm. Yet the slab takes 1 hour to 2 hours to get cold.. Asked owner why dont you have your staff come in at 11am instead, she said, its hard times You only have One employee working.. The place is called Marble Slab. People go for the Slab experience. Waste of time and very Irresponsible. all to save 8 dollars an hour.

Have been twice now. Both times the line was out the door. The first time I decided to wait. After a 20 minute wait I find out they are out of several flavors and they only have one person working. The second day I didnt wait because once again they were understaffed.

Ice cream was delicious! Marisa was extremely polite and helpful.

This restaurant was crowded they had areas marked where you could sit and where you could not sit there was no one sitting in the seats so while I was waiting I sat down B Clark came over to me and told me that I could not sit in the seat but that I could sit in a seat that was one foot away from another individual that I didnt know I understand that covid has things messed up but its ridiculous when they tell you you cannot sit 10 foot away from another person yet you can one foot away from the line Marble Slab has their priorities mixed up when youre not in it for the safety of the people and its more about politics I would rather take my money somewhere else

When you pay $7 for a cup of ice cream, you expect quality. Marble Slab in Harlingen TX does not compare to other Marble Slabs I have visited.1. They do not fill up your ice cream bowl, such a small amount of ice cream given for the price you pay.2. They don’t carry white chocolate ice cream. (Hands down the best ice cream they have in my opinion)3. Their waffle bowls are totally bizarre and different from other Marble Slabs. I don’t know how they expect you to eat that thing.We won’t return to this location.

As we walked in the place it smelled like restroom/sewer inside... Employee was attending a couple and asked to move 6 feet apart, which we were to begin with and asked rudely. Then our turn came next and their was practically no icecream but like 6 flavors which all had some sort of liqour not kid friendly, employee was so rude in taking our orders and would ask what we wanted and we had to repeat ourselves over & over like if she was not listening or paying attention. Didnt offer any napkins and rushed us, but offered the next customers napkins and treated them differently. We sat and ate our ice creams as more customers went in. But she never asked them to stay 6 feet apart the were all close in line . 1st time trying this place and dont plan on retuning .

Great! Went this past Friday evening around 8pm and the one lady working was so pleasant and had great customer service personality. Very helpful and friendly. The cups were filled even though the double dark chocolate was almost gone, so I got the last for that day. Reading the other reviews it seems like they have improved on the areas they were lacking. Will be back!

Nov 2, 2020 at 1 45 pm ... we went ask for the boggie board kind and she gave us something not even close to it... she put Twix instead of fudge didnt put brownies or sprinkles then she realized that the ice-cream wasnt enough to fill the cup so she added 2 vanilla scoops in the middle and put the other ice-cream on top ... $15.51 worth of ice-cream we threw away. We told her about the mistake n tried to put sprinkles on top... we refused. Never ever again ... Ill stick with my old ice-cream place. Dont recommend it at all. Train your workers correctly!!

Does anyone understand nuance in language?I have been to this Ice Cream location before but unfortunately in the Era of Covid 19 everything is an ordeal. The visit to this place was no different.The sign says people SHOULD wear a mask. For example, I should brush my teeth three times a day but that doesnt mean I MUST do it.Again, do people not understand nuance in language?Masks give me panic attacks yet the person working there still was combative with me.To her credit she let it go once I told her this but this whole experience was HORRIBLE.My friends were forced to eat their Ice Cream outside which almost immediately turned into a drippy mess.Ive visited other restaurants here in the Harlingen area and none were like this. All of them left us alone to enjoy our meal.Side note: The owner should know that masks are completely useless for stopping viruses so hes hassling both his customers and his employees for no good reason. Businesses are not required to make customers wear them and its pointless to make the employees wear them especially when theyre detrimental to the well being of a healthy person.

I was greeted by a nice young lady with a pretty smile. She was very attentive and served me exactly what I wanted. As she made my custom banana split, I asked her to sprinkle the toppings so that they evenly spread over my entire dish. As she did as I (the paying customer) told her to do, the other older lady said no sir, she cant do that. So the young lady that was preparing my banana split finished up and handed it to me. The older lady was very rude and I did not appreciate it. What ever happened to catering to the customer?? Managers, if you place these rules on your employees, what kind of business are you running.?? Substandard!! If Im going to pay for an expensive treat, guess what, Im going to expect to get it the way I want it. You get 1 star until these stupid rules are lifted. Let your employees please your customers. By the way young lady that helped me, Thank you. This is in no way a review about your service. You did great.

For marble slab in Harlingen:I have never been this disappointed in an ice cream shop, let alone a marble slab. I love marble slab, it is my go to dessert place hands down.I tried venturing out and trying some new flavors and the worker behind the counter rudely prompted me that I only get one more sample. I wasnt trying to rip you off of ice cream, I just wanted to try something new.I would like to ask, what does unlimited mean to you? The sign clearly states UNLIMITED mix ins, as it has been any other time I go to a marble slab, but the worker only let us get three mix ins?Not the most pleasant staff, and false advertising, very dissatisfied.

They were out of a lot of toppings. And didnt have two of the cup sizes so your forced to get a regular or a small in a cone. But you cant get a small in a regular cup even though its their fault they dont have the right size. Weird. On the sign it says you get unlimited toppings but you actually only get 3.... which is also weird. Seems like they are going out of business.

Lady who closed on July 5 checked the back to see if there was anymore shakes .... (Too bad they make it out front not the back ) said she didnt have any. Tells everyone in the store that she needs to mop and that was the last thing she need so pretty much asking for everyone to get out and on top of that has the door locked ...??? Like how are we supposed to leave ???? If you dont like the job then quit..

Very unprofessional, employees were arguing in a seemingly joking way yet very real. Very uncomfortable, and very rude especially the older woman who works there. Always tries to rush the order and gives off an annoyed vibe. Awesome ice cream but take it to GO. Management should talk to their employees about their presentation.

The ice cream here is actually very good. However, the service is very poor. I have gone on several occasions with different staff and had to deal with rudeness and unprofessionalism from each. I decided to give up and not return anymore.

We went here late on aSunday night when there was only one girl working and the place was packed! Unexpected for a Sunday. However she did an amazing job working though the hire line of people and dos all with poise and a smile on her face. Shame on this establishment for only having one employee staffed. But themes 5 stars are for the girl who served us and dos an awesome job. I think her name was Anaya or something similar.

Its been more than a year ago and I still remember the horrible service there. I have never gone back since then. I also called the franchise just to warn them about the bad rep this location is setting for their franchise. I sincerely wish that they would care about their reviews and make the appropriate changes.I hope to see better reviews in the future but for now there is an overwhelming amount of negative experiences taking place at this location.If you read the reviews most of the complaints are about the same lady. In my experience she refused to return a womans credit card because their credit card machine was not working and the lady didnt have cash. However, the problem had not been discovered until the ice cream was eaten. When I respecfully questioned her decision to withhold the card against the customers will, she yelled (literally yelled at me) saying that it wasnt their fault for the machine not working. It seems that the main issue is her customer service. Im sure that anyone who has worked in customer service roles can attest that issues should be resolved with respect and tact.

Never again will I waste my time here. They are an embarassment to the franchise. First they cannot figure out a simple order, then the credit card machine went down, making me late for the party.

Went in at 855 pm just to be told we are closed. Why say open till 9 pm when u close whenever you want and are to rude to customers. Again went into store only one person working, how can a place with bad service stay open.

Worst customer service EVER. Worker(S) had attitude, were rude, and gave me looks and a certain tone that said Okay what do you want and like they didnt want me there. Very rude and seemed annoyed that I was there. They took FOREVER to get me my simple orders because they were too busy gossiping and talking away. And thats because I was literally the only customer there. Never going back there again.

Icecream is great but the tables and the floors are dirty and the staff was just standing around counting tips.
