Bought a 2020 Jetta here not even a year ago and require warranty service. Was told at the service desk that you cant bring in a vehicle for warranty claims without an appointment. Thats not true, considering I had to do the same thing last year with my last vehicle, without the same issue.Was further told it would be a week before theyd be able (translation: willing) to look at the car.Im a former VW tech and service advisor- I would have been fired on the spot for taking this approach with a customer. Under no circumstances should a customer who just spent 21,000 dollars at a dealership be told theyre going to have to live with a manufacturer defect on their practically brand new car.
My experience at this dealership far exceeded my expectation of what a vehicle purchase should be like. The low pressure easy going staff at this dealership was absolutely pleasant. The manager, finance staff and the service department professional were attentive and pleasant, they really listen to the customer. I was especially impressed with my first sales person Tawona, this lady was an encyclopedia of product knowledge which made me feel very at easy with the product. We called while we were driving through town on our way to vacation to ask if we can get an oil change as all our local dealers are booked through May. They said sure come on in because they had a cancellation. Obviously they know we’re not coming back anytime soon but we could not believe how accommodating and nice they were!I wish we lived closer than six hours away I’d have my service done there all the time! It was such a fantastic experience. The service advisor was awesome. They were so nice I had them do the software update recall on my Tiguan while it was waiting. Amazing! One of the best places I’ve dealt with in years.
They gave me a decent price on my car originally, but they try to scam you. They say it comes with a warranty so everything is covered until a certain mileage, then you come in to have something looked at and they try to charge you 100 dollars JUST TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. The person next to me in the waiting room came in for his air conditioning and i heard the salesman try to milk him out of 1000 dollars in “maintenance” work. They tried to charge me 500 dollars to have the fuel injectors cleaned, spark plugs replaced, etc. After only owning the car for 8000 MILES. If you don’t know anything about cars or are easily fooled do not come here, they are hungry for your wallet.
My family and I took a road trip and experienced car trouble along the way. This was the only VW dealer close by and really, really made a big impact for my family and my road trip to the area.The dealership customer service team was a great experience for my VW. I never had an issue like this with my car before but after this experience, the whole service center customer service team was amazing. They were completely booked and were able to accommodate my car even though I wasnt from around Harrisburg, they hands down fixed my issue within a few hours the next day and I was able to enjoy they rest of my trip. Jeff took my car that morning and overall made me feel so calm about the issue, overall if I were looking for service, I would go there again or recommend them for service. Im not a big reviewer but in my eyes they did a great job servicing my car that they deserve me giving them a great review, thanks Sutliff team keep up the great work! 👍👍 Your staff saved my road trip getaway.
Went to test drive a Taos. Was greated as we walked in. salesperson was nice. Took us to the vehicle we were Interested in. Gave us the keys and off we went before a bad rainstorm rolled in. Unfortunately they forgot to have gas in the tank. The car said it had 20 miles to empty. Drove 1/2 mile down the road and it stalled out. Started it again, got 50 feet, stalled again. Now its pouring rain out. It stalls out in the middle of a busy road. Push the car to a parking lot. Now Im soaked. Call the dealership tell them we are having issues with the car. They come get us. Back at the dealership there was an apology. They find out it needed gas. They Tried to get us to buy but really wasnt into buying. Kinda taking back by the lack of response to our issue of no gas in the car. Kinda laughed it off. Car ride was good when they put gas in it. Unfortunately their numbers were higher then what we were willing to spend.
Superb dealership. At the risk of sounding cliché, they truly are about customer service. They treat people like family. I have recently bought a 2021 Passat from SUTLIFF. It was all no pressure. Due to the profession I am in, I constantly interact with people in all walks of life, and majority of people comment on their positive experiences with SUTLIFF VW. Ive been a customer here for many years. Jeff Martindale is a great service advisor! Dont get me wrong, they are all friendly but I normally always have Jeff as my advisor. Im always treated with courtesy, respect and honesty. I never feel like Im paying for something I didnt need. My car always comes back in a very clean condition. I love the new kiosk in the entryway! So convenient.

I’m really disappointed that I can’t give a good review like the others ones on here. My experience was weird and awkward. I responded via internet In a car that I was interested in. The sales manager messaged back promptly and we set up a time to look at the car. Then I got emails from a Alison that she would be working with me and to ask for her when I arrived. Upon arrival I was informed that Alison was the internet sales agent and didn’t even work in the dealership. I would be working with Aaron. Aaron didn’t even know what car I was looking at and then handed me over to Lynn to go over the car. Before going out to look at the car Aaron asked me how I wanted to finance the car. I hadn’t even layed eyes on it yet. I told him we could talk about it when I get back from the test drive. Weird, I hadn’t even layer eyes on the car and he wanted to know how I was going to pay for it? Lynn didn’t know a lot about the car and we stood in awkward silence at first until I started asking questions. He answered my question vaguely. When I got back I had to wait for Aaron to come back into the dealership. He immediately went into pricing and financing. I told I felt the car was priced high for the mileage on it. Asked to come down. He went and “checked with his manager”, didn’t budge any on the price and gave weak answers to why it was priced accurately. I walked out. I felt like I got the run around from the get go and then the sales men had no ideal what he was doing. It’s was weird. I guess if your willing Deal with 8 people, pay full price and commit to the sale Before looking at the car this is your dealership?WEIRD! No thank you

We had a fantastic experience buying a pre-owned car from Sutliff Volkswagen! After looking locally for two weeks we decided to make the two hour drive to Sutliff to look at a Mazda 6 that we had only seen online. Ive bought 2 cars here and had positive experiences both times. I deal with Matt Hill and hes great. I texted him one day, over a year after we last spoke asking about another car and he sends me over the numbers right away, only asking what Im trading and the mileage. He gets right down to business and is always transparent. Decided to buy a week later and got an overnight test drive which they will do no contact for (Covid friendly). I never felt pressured or coerced into buying anything I didnt want. The exact car I wanted wasnt on their lot so they gave me a loaner and got my exact car from another dealer. They informed me there was a ding on the door immediately and said they will take care of it as soon as I can bring it in. Matt showed me all the bells and whistles of the new car tech before delivery. I always dread talking to F&I, because I never buy the add ons and usually feel pressure to do so. Dealing with Tommy was actually enjoyable as we talked like old friends. Overall an enjoyable and transparent experience. Highly recommend!
Had a new key programmed for my car and now the old one doesnt work & Ill have to wait another week to get the old one reprogrammed. Not happy with Sutliff Service right now
Called a day ahead to drop by at 9am to check out a car. Showed up at 9am- they had the car pulled from the reserve lot in minutes to show us. No pressure sales and transparent with finance options. Credit and apps are done by yourself on your phone or laptop so very discreet about finance. I had keys and was able leave the dealer at 11am with the new car. It was not just a single employee but everyone was great and helped the process be as pleasant as possible.On top of that- the car was being detailed while the paperwork and tags were finalized without missing a beat and left with full tank.Really a great experience- if you dont think youre in the market for a VW go check out what they have.

New to Pennsylvania and needed a place I could trust to maintain my Golf R. I was very pleased with Sutliff Volkswagen. They completed the work while I waited. The waiting area was comfortable and everyone there was compliant with the Covid recommendations. My service agent was very polite and respectful. The service was videotaped by the tech who discussed what he had found. Very impressive.
This was the most seamless car buying experience Ive ever had. I was able to do the majority of the transaction via telephone and email. No pushy salespeople, very accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be back in the future!
Quickly, they were able to identify the ploblem and fixed it. The only 2 reasons why I did not give them a 5 start were because I did not get a complementary car wash which during this times of a pandemic would it be highly appreciated. I did not know the parts of the car that were touched. The second is because they should have replaced both wheel bearing as a precaution. Now I will have one failed before the other one does

Bought Passat there in 2015, car had only 5 K on odometer, 2 years latter find out the car was in an accident - dealer never mentioned it. There were no insurance claims or anything - but right back side was fixed - probably by dealer, concealed and sold to me without disclosing that minor detail.
Friendly staff, funny they dont have the key available to remove their own radios, or was that a trap to make customers have to use their mechanics.
This is our third time buying cars from them. Lynn Schultz was the sales associate. He helped us through the process, answered all our questions and also was helpful after the sale. I will recommend the dealership not only for purchase also for service as well.
Perfect experience start to finish purchasing my new 18 Tiguan SEL Premium. Drove all the way from upstate NY because Sutliff had the best price I could find within 300 miles! They made the entire process so easy and even shipped me a set of replacement crossbars when I realized the ones installed on the car were missing a part after I returned home. Top notch dealership, worth the drive. Cant say enough good things.
Found a few vehicles that I liked and prices were fair. One that I ended up test driving and was really interested in that I may not buy now. The sales manager got really pushy and even said that I should make the purchase without my spouse present. I will not do a drive and sign deal ever.

Good service although no longer a reliable place to recieve a loaner car.Edit 10/25: asked for a loaner car and told them I would wait a month for service if they could guarantee a loaner car. The man I had spoken with in the phone obliged... but I am supposed to take the car in today.. guess what.. no loaner car.This is not super big deal but it is a very annoying and a waste of everyones time.
My parents received a letter and email on July 15 th from the sales Manager Mike McCormick. The letter stated that upon review, they were eligible for a considerable trade amount on their car toward a new 2020. When Mr McCormick was called, he stated it was a advertisement error on the part of the companies 3rd party marketing company and would not be honored. He also stated a email was to be sent with an explanation. 15 days later, it was never sent.This is a deceptive form of advertising. We went in today for a explanation, only to be told again the offer would not be honored but hey, are you interested in a new car we can show you. I urge anyone who received such a fraudulent letter to report it to the Attorney Generals office. As well, contact myself as I will be pursuing a class action suit.

We worked with Tyler Stump. He was very knowledgeable about the car we were looking to buy. We had 3 kids with us and he was able to quickly line up prices and details about the 3 cars we were interested in. I believe he worked out a very fair price for the vehicle and never pressured me or try to sell me anything other than what I wanted. Great experience

What a terrible experience so far, bought a 2021 voulkswagen and have had nothing but problems with the car. Their customer service sucks, no one calls me back and the check engine light not to mention other indicator lights are none stop. Definitely would not recommend dealing with these incompetent a-holes. Voulkswagen is even apologizing on behalf of there behavior bc that’s who I’m dealing with now that sutliff refuses to handle there own affairs

The staff are very friend ly and willing to help with whatever you may need. They worked very hard to get me into a new car. Sutliff VW helped me out in a huge way when I was in the Camp Hill area for business. My TPMS sensor had exploded in my tire on my cross state commute and they were able to take my car next day, have parts ordered in, and were able to shuttle me to work while they worked on it. Not overly aggressive in making a sale. Customer service is great - each time I bring my car in for routine service I am greeted by name and they always have my car ready for pickup sooner than expected. I had one issue with the radio (VW fault, not Sutliff) and Kerry went above and beyond to assist, so they really are customer service focused in my opinion.

I was able to do most of the transactions over the phone with Janelle. First off let me say that i have purchased 4 NEW vehicles since early 2018. Ford, chevy,toyota, and this VW being the 4th. I will say that the sales staff were very polite and nice but as far as going over the vehicle features and functions this is the worst experience to date. I litterally drove the vehicle off the lot not even knowing what over half of the buttons or functions were. I went home and relied on the owners manual and youtube for most explinations. I still cant tell you what a few of them are. Also what was upsetting was i tried to get splash guards installed at a discounted rate or free install, nope, how about 5$ off, really!!? I just spent over 30 grand on a vehicle and the dealership litterally did NOTHING for me, all the incentives came from VW. All they did was paperwork and wash the vehicle. Like i originally stated this isnt my first NEW car purchase but this was without a doubt the most disconnected i have ever felt with a dealer. I wont be back and neither will my family or friends. I should have went to Faulkner like the past but they unfourtunetly did not have the vehicle i wanted.

Trystin was very informative and had a customer-first attitude, even offering water and lollipops to keep our little one distracted. the only thing I would change would be the wait times-- we waited quite a bit to meet with the financial coordinator after our appointment time, then had to wait for the car to be detailed. it seemed to be very busy that night as well, which is understandable. overall great experience and love my new car!

Purchased a used 2012 Honda Civic in December.Because of vacation plans and Christmas, I wasn’t able to pick up the car until 7 days after I purchased it. Part of my purchase agreement was that the car would be newly inspected. I noticed as soon as I walked out to the car that the sticker wasn’t changed.During that whole week, not one person out of the 4-5 that I dealt with remembered that my car needed inspected.Fortunately, they asked us to wait while they inspected it right then. After waiting 2.25 hours, the mechanic was unable to finish it due to being too busy. I’m still confused as to why they took time to change my oil during this time I waited when the highest priority was the inspection. I had to return the next week (I had to reach out to Sutliff as no one contacted me like they said) only to have to leave the car there overnight while they gave me a free rental. This inconvenienced me as I live an hour away. I love the car and everything else (minus the issue) went smoothly. I think you’d get better service if you were buying a VW or maybe my mistake for buying over the holidays.About a week after I picked up the car, the battery died (original battery). They did give me a new one and I am grateful for that.Thank you!

The service department at Sutliff is wonderful. They are patient, helpful, professional, and courteous. I really like the video that the service tech sends you showing you the issue with your car. They offer shuttles, which I know is common, but also loaner cars which is very helpful (even if you didnt buy your VW there)! I know that dealerships get a bad rep for their service departments, but I have always been pleased with the service provided by Sutliff VW.

The best experience I have had buying a car. Ashley handled a half dozen of my calls and was very professional. Tyler was able to answer any questions I had. Rasheed found me better financing. I was hesitant about finding a car online and traveling two and a half hours to get it. I was not disappointed by the quality of the car, the price couldn’t be beat (I know I have been looking for a year), and the service was top notch. My father gave me a ride to pick it up and was equally impressed. Tyler even sat and kept my father company as I finished the paper work. I have been back and forth between buying a new car for years. Every time I stopped in I always went to Aaron Phillips. He is always so patient and didnt pressure me at all. This year I finally decided to purchase a car. He was extremely knowledgeable about the cars and all their features. He really made the process a breeze from the initial inquiry about buying a car to the paperwork. Rob was the man who went through the paperwork with me and though he is fairly new he did a great job. After all was said and done Aaron took the time to show me all the features of the car which was nice as Ive never had a car nearly as nice as my new Tiguan. Highly recommend this dealership and Aaron Phillips to anyone in the market for a car. Great experience.

In a rarity among dealerships, this place actually doesnt haggle nor tack on countless optional accessories as mandatory. I literally drove 3 hours from NJ to buy a car here vs 20 minutes because how badly my local dealership was screwing me over vs these fine folks. Also, unlike many other dealerships, they honor their advertised prices.
Bought a used 2015 Tiguan for my daughters first car last weekend. We live in MD and they had a great car at a great price so we drove almost 2 hours to buy it. It was a certified used car but when we got back to MD the brake rotors didnt pass MD inspection. We replaced them at the local dealership but when I contacted the General Manager at Sutliff he immediately offered to reimburse us for the cost of the parts which was more than fair after learning that rust on rotors is more of a subjective decision made by the local technician. Customer service and customer satisfaction at Sutliff is important. I would buy another car from them again (used or new).

A dealer that can be trusted, and one that puts the customer truly first. I was dreading the day when I would need to buy a new car and put it off until the last possible hour. This was simply due to the fiasco of experiences that one can expect when buying a car. However, to great surprise the traditional lackluster of organization or overzealous sales people who borderline harassment, I found the exact opposite. I was able to work with a highly efficient and customer service focused team online, to discuss the options, my goals and financial considerations. This was all done via email, with no pressure. Once I had everything like I wanted, I drove up there and a litany of professional staff assisted me, including Matt, Kris, Alyssa, and of course my salesperson Trystin! I was so happy with my deal- that no other dealer could compete with by at least 80$ per month, and the way I was treated. If you are in the market for a vehicle and have no time for foolishness, silly games, or second class treatment, this is the place to go. Save your time and energy in dealing with other dealers.
Terrible experience. Bought a used vehicle from them. Found out the very next day my sunroof does not function properly. I called and left voicemails for over three weeks before I finally got in touch with someone. All they are willing to offer is to pay half of what the cost will be to fix it and I got told it was sold as is. If this was an issue on the vehicle when they inspected it they should of known and are claiming there was nothing wrong with it when they inspected it.
