Delicious coffee but my favorite has become the tea. Great morning pick me up before work.

This is a nice spot near downtown Harrisburg to grab a cup of coffee. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon after parking on the street (theres 15 minutes of free parking, otherwise its $3 per hour Mon-Sat from 8am to 7pm; if you use the ParkMobile App you can buy in half hour increments so $1.5 an hour).I got a 20 oz Iced Latte for $4.11 after using the Yelp 20% and overall it was good although not too remarkable. I liked Little Amps better, so I would rate Joes coffee a 3/5. Without the 20% off, the coffee is too expensive in my opinion, as that that price point you could get Philz coffee, which is much better.The reason for my 5 stars though is the friendly service, plentiful seating, and amazing WiFi (300 Mbps up and 11 Mbps down), so Ill add 2 points for that. Also its a very small business, so I like supporting small businesses when I can

Id always heard good things about Capitol Joe, and it was awesome to discover that their reputation is well deserved. Its cozy and inviting inside, and the staff are the very definition of friendly. I also think Ive found the one Pumpkin Spice Latte to rule them all. (Dont judge. We all have our vices.)

Wasnt open when Google said they were. Capital Joe needs to work on that so they dont lose potential customers.

The coffee is good, Ive never had a bad cup there. Prices are pretty standard, outside of the happy hour lattes between 11:30 and 1:00 which drops the price nicely. Never had an issue with service or cleanliness, very good atmosphere. Still only four stars because they dont actually open at 7AM like they say. They open at 7, or 7:10, or 7:15, or 7:30... basically whenever their opener feels like unlocking the door. Its very frustrating to be looking forward to a coffee before work only to find the blinds are still closed. If they could be more consistent with their opening times Id say 5 stars. If you arent showing up at the crack of dawn like me, youll have a fine experience.

Most outstanding service. The environment is so relaxing. Our children enjoyed their experience as well. 😁 So excited that they had coconut milk and Almond milk to offer as well. Best cup of Joe in the longest time. Wish we could move them to our area 😊 Had a second cup to go on our way out the door. Highly recommended!

We spent a week in and around Harrisburg, PA and our 6 year old son quickly made Capital Joe our home away from home. It was delightful to plot each days adventures in the warm surroundings. The staff was great! Happy people making happy drinks! Not a bad one in the bunch! Keep up the great work guys you are going places!

First time here. Atmosphere was nice. Its was Clean and the person greeted us when we walked in. The sizes are a little small but the coffee is excellent. The ratio of coffee to everything else is good. 20 oz iced coffee was $5.12. Not a every day coffee price for me but every so often.its worth it.

Great coffee and super friendly staff! Great location makes it easy to pop in for a quick break during the work day and their rewards program is great too! Also love that they actively engage in public projects!

My husband and I just moved to the area from DC and found this place while walking around and exploring the city. Great atmosphere, great coffee. We loved coming here and have decided this our new favorite coffee shop! We met who I presumed was the owner and chatted with him a bit, he ended up giving us two free drink coupons -what a welcome! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere is warm and inviting...makes you want to stay a while, I think we will. :)

Love Capital Joe coffee. They are close enough to my office that I can walk over for a quick pick me up. They also usually have some sort of special discount going on

Capital Joe let us use their beautiful and versatile lounge area for a bridal shower. Manager Tyler was friendly, helpful and so accommodating when scheduling the space for my event. Barista Steve made wonderfully delicious drinks and was eager to help in any way he could. One of their spring specials, iced lavender latte, fit perfectly with our purple theme and was so delicious almost everyone at the party got one and I had two! The bride and I are in Capital Joe’s debt for helping us make the shower an event guests will be taking about for years to come!

Love capital Joe, they are conveniently located, good prices and great coffee. One of my favorite places for an afternoon pickup! They are also locally owned.

It was our second week in Harrisburg, and my coworker and I were still exploring. Wed tried several different coffee places already, and passing this one in the afternoon, we stopped in to see if it was a likely bet for the next morning.The two guys at the counter were wonderful - friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable - and we agreed wed found our next mornings coffee to sample.Im so glad we did. There were different people there in the morning, of course, but every bit as awesome... And the coffee itself was amazing. My coworker marveled that she was holding the best caramel latte shed had in her life. And my extra-vanilla latte was so good that I scurried back a little later to grab a second one! Id also bought a coconut water for later. Coworker and I both agreed that *this* was the end of our search for a perfect morning brew.So the next morning, for expedience, I bought both my large coffees at once - as well as the coconut water that the proprietor had thoughtfully made sure was in the cooler in case I wanted another. He also remembered exactly what I had ordered the day before.While I was in line one of those times, a woman came in to buy pastries for a meeting across the street in the Capital Complex, fifth floor of her building. The staff offered to rewrap the pastries to make them easier to microwave later. As she tried to figure out how to carry them, they offered to loan her a tray as long as she brought it back. But when she still struggled with figuring out the tray and her own fresh cup of coffee, the guy helping her volunteered to carry it over for her - and out the door they went, across the street and on to the fifth floor of whatever building she inhabited!Im leaving out some details from the rest of my time in Harrisburg, but its probably enough to say that I went back for pretty much all the coffee I could handle, literally up to just before I left.Other things worth knowing: I have a severe milk allergy, and everyone there was completely comfortable and competent handling that. Different utensils, a prep container freshly washed with running water, no cross-contamination at the milk-foaming-thingy, and I was just fine every time.And they have a loyalty card you might as well get on your first visit, because once you taste this stuff and meet these people, youre going to keep coming back. It takes 11 stamps to earn a free coffee.Last word? TRY THIS PLACE. Youll be glad you did.

Great coffee. Very rarely does an establishment open the shop to serve strangers coffee. We walked in from out of town, shop was closed, but owner turned on the lights and made us coffee !!! Great service !!!

You dont need as much sweetener because theft dont burn their beans. Good quality ingredients in their homemade food.

Once upon a time a warrior wearily awoke from his slumber. Fresh from battle his strength stores were depleted and his head was spinning from a crushing headache. He knew of only one solution. With much resistance he struggled to his feet. He slung his battle axe over his shoulder and began his march in search of the antidote to his misery. Passing the green dome of the capitol building with the massive brutalist architecture of the archives building in the background he knew he was getting close. Approaching his destination he propped his weapon and draped his heavy armor on the steps. Pushing open the door to the establishment the air immediately filled with the strong aroma of coffee. Instantly he felt vitality returning to his aching limbs. As he approached the front counter an epically bearded man emerged from a cloud of steam. The warrior managed to whisper one Frappe Joe please. With a nod the bearded man they call Tyler began to work his magic. As the machine is banging and hissing the life-giving elixir is brewed. The warrior takes the the cup of joe and sips the beverage. As the hot liquid is being swallowed energy begins coursing through his veins. At once his strength is renewed. He tips the barista and walks out; continuing on his journey. Thus a legend is born.

They have a good, courteous customer service, a good selection to choose from, and they have great coffee. However, Capital Joes is a little expensive.
