Its always good to visit the broad street market, but it is absolutely too too hot 🔥 inside. The high ceiling fans are no help on very hot and humid days. Especially for the elderly and disabled. I recommend central air be put threw out these buildings. Tks

Best place to shop in Harrisburg. Food, meat, cheeses, produce, bakery goods, ethnic food shops, ice cream, coffee, gifts, plants and more all from friendly, independent proprietors all in the Mid-Town community. Only one downside: they are only available Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Five stars for Ward of Health! But I swear its more like Ward of Heaven!! I hope people try their heavenly goods and realize we dont need to eat animals! Animals are friends not food! The CW they serve is deliciously addicting but I know I have to try the rest of their delicious menu options!

Drive to 1,000 with Special Guest Eater, Aaron took a slight detour. I love the Simplistic Genius of Broad St Market; put ZeroDay Outpost in the middle of the place across from the bathroom. Non-cheesesteak detour items; 1. Pretzel log stuffed with cheesesteak. 2. Iced Cinnamon bun. 3. Hand rolled Cheesesteak pierogi. 4. Best non-cheesesteak thing eaten; Pandora’s Box from Streatery

The market is probably one of the biggest in the area. There are several vendors that have been there for years, but new vendors come in frequently. The food stands are ranging in culture from Jamaican, African, Korean, Puerto Rican, Pa Dutch, and traditional American cuisine. My personal favorite is Porters House Jamaican. I always get the stewed chicken, rice and beans, cabbage, and plantains. Dont forget the beef patty. I also enjoy fishers chicken, with hot and bbq sauce. There are too many good desserts to mention them all.Downside is the crowds, and sometimes the cleanliness.

Today I decided to go to the Broad street Mkt on Third St Harrisburg Pennsylvania what a let 👎👎👎👎I have not been there since I was left Harrisburg to go to Florida 23 yrs ago The Farm Show Parking Lot has better vendors. Not everyone likes Fishers that have most of the Building. The Prices at Farm Show Parking Lot are alot less. Lower the Rent so BroadStreet Mkt stays OPEN

A city classic. What you need, from produce and flowers to meats and cheeses. Gourmet coffee and tea (really, whatever they are) are on-hand for the Yuppie and New Age urban crowd, and candy and barbecued beef and chicken for the old guard (the rest of us) from Amish farmers and vendors are there, also. You CAN get a regular old-fashioned coffee -- you know, what the folks selling it call coffee, without all the weird, geographic, politically tinged, sometimes woke adjectival qualifiers). And the Harrisburg Police Commissioner walks the beat in the market. You can chat him up and have a photo with him. In what Ive always assumed is the newer building, on Third, restaurant stands offer some diverse, and delicious cuisine. Its next to The Mill Works (a little too overdone and idolized for me, but the food is excellent, and the artists galleries and retail rooms are cool, man). If you get literary stirrings, the Midtown Scholar is right across Third Street, though it seems it has some odd pandemic hours, so check before you go.

Stopped by the Market last week, on Friday, while in town visiting family. They have a variety of vendors selling a wide variety of items. A lot of food vendors/stands. Most of the food we tried was very good. Some of it is a bit pricey. The market can get very crowded and the waits at some of the food stands was long. The parking in the area can be challenging also.

The variety of locally-sourced options has always been a takeaway of this place, despite the limited availability during the week. So hard to go wrong here with all the variety. Just wanted to give a recent shoutout to the Two Poodles bagel stand — being a native of the nyc area, we pride upon our bagels and associated shmears. Had a poppy seed bagel with scallion cream cheese — was one of the best I’ve had in the area. Definitely the go-to spot equally considering bagel lovers at strawberry square closed down.

A treasure, indoor food stalls (Ck for which days the market is opened !) : Greek 🌯 (Sweeeeet Mediterranean 👍), Jamaican Jerky 🍗, African🍛, Mexican tacos (in corn tortillas, tacos al pastor: slices are then stacked onto a vertical skewer), Korean 🍱, Polish perogies, 🔥 oven brick pizza 🥰 (thin crust -> brought back my time in Italy), Seafood (🍤🥥 - yum), Cheese Steak, Bakery 🥐.., Smoothies 🥤+, Puerto Rican, ... Reasonable price. Down to earth, well cook food; you will be walked away with smiles & satisfied appetites. We did: a group of American kids, Chinese Panamanian Canadian, Spanish, Vietnamese.
