Very chill environment, but most of all.. I was pleasantly surprised with their nitro cold brew. Much smoother and sweeter note than Starbucks. WiFi works great 👍🏼

Got the Mediterranean wrap and it was dry. My girlfriend got the avocado toast which is on the menu labeled “crisp sourdough” when in fact the sourdough was not even toasted. So it wasn’t avocado toast it was avocado bread. When she went up to ask if thats how the avo bread is supposed to be prepared the employees forcibly told her that it is supposed to be untoasted. They also had no intentions of helping her with a refund or another avocado toast. They didn’t offer any form of compensation and instead just shewed her away. Bad way to run a business in my opinion. The smoothies were good.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The lattes are better than any other Ive had (not even joking) and everyone is so friendly and the service is super quick for how busy it can get. I love coming here for my online class to be able to relax

So one star is for not having the menu. This is third time coming here from Grottoes to get my favorite Spinach and feta croissant and they don’t have it or out of stock.That’s the issue for past 7 years as I remember, I mean come on if you see that you are selling out every day just make more for everyday customers

Okay. This place is the cutest, and they have a pretty decent matcha and some good coffee and kind people. I love that their matcha is not sweetened, and they were chill and quick. Quiet, pleasant atmosphere was great for catching up with one of my besties.

Friendly, decent prices, and a large variety of teas and coffees, as well as some healthy food and smoothie options.

Greenberrys has some fascinating tasting smoothies that I wouldnt mind buying time and time again!

Awful customer service! I waited 20+ minutes for 2 sandwiches and when I asked how much longer the lady at the cashier was extremely nasty and told me she couldnt tell me how much longer and refused to even check thec status if my order. She was extremely rude!

Took 45 min to get our breakfast sandwiches and then the order was wrong. Very disorganized cafe. Hot chocolate was cold and coffee overpriced for product.

Nice location, nice staff, good coffee. Is a good place to come work or meet for a coffee date! Is a little pricey but generally worth it. They also have Strites donuts occasionally that make it well worth stopping by.

Nice and cozy little spot. Limited seating even more so with COVID, but it’s important that they are doing this. Plus coffe shops are supposed to be quiet and quaint. I recommend their BLTs and lattes

I really enjoy Greenberry’s chai tea with soy milk on the occasion, which is quite expensive I might add. Their blend is quite good. However, the past two few times I have purchased a tea, there has been at least 2-4oz worth left of room in the cup. :( I find this quite sad because I would like to continue to go to Greenberry’s but I can’t afford to pay for what I’m not getting.

Much faster then Starbucks. My daughter loves Bubble tea.

Was underwhelmed by my latte with extra foam not much taste. The people who served me were very nice.

I discovered Greenberrys of Harrisonburg during my first year of studies at James Madison University in 2008. Its gotten me through bad times and been a treat during the good times. Ive walked by it countless times on my way to class at Memorial Hall. Now that I am a permanent resident of the burg, I walk by it on my way to work. Thanks to all the staff for their patience waiting for me to decide what I want to order! ♥️

Coffee was very good. It was smooth and did not have that bitter note that many coffees have. I was getting my coffee to go, but it looked like it would be a very nice place to sit and enjoy your coffee. Did not get anything, but the bake case looked like it had a decent selection of items.

Neat place. Good coffee. Sandwich left a little to be desired. I was expected home cooked eggs, but it was a pre-cooked warmed up egg on a sandwich. I still thought it tasted pretty good though.

Drove thru to get a gluten free item and coffee. After spending 6.00 I got a frozen pre-made/store bought pastry and I could have gotten better coffee at McDonald’s. Horrible!

We went through the drive thru to get our drinks. :) The drive thru was nice, but one needs to be prepared to turn into location due to how they are at the corner of an intersection.They were very nice as I asked questions to make sure I was on the same page as them if they serve caramel macchiatos. The girl was very nice and informed me they do traditional macchiatos and not like the version that Starbucks presents. So I ordered their caramel vanilla latte with white chocolate sauce added with whip cream. It was quite delicious.Looking forward to trying more different drinks from them and trying out their other goods. :)

Love love love this coffee shop! It is so close to campus and definitely worth a visit. The food is wonderful and the coffee is divine. I love coming here for the atmosphere and its a great place to meet friends and study.

It’s got good coffee and is a great place to go to for a quick caffeine boost and maybe some food. However, a couple of times that I’ve been there, the food hasn’t been amazing. Still good, just not great. Not worth going out of my way to get the food, but still good enough to eat if I’m already there.Don’t go to school around here anymore so I only can go when I come back to visit, but my experience has been consistent.

Nice place with great mango smoothie, dont do coffee. Usually do drive through because it is crowded. Today was very nice as two sets of people made room for us. Gracious people come to study and chat.

Didn’t enjoy the coffee. Too expensive for the level of coffee they provide. Staff is efficient, but they could be better trained on how to correctly make different types of drinks.

Coffee was average, honestly. I only got a regular coffee, but it wasnt the best cup of coffee. Great atmosphere though and not too crowded until about 9 AM. Good spot to go to if you are stopping by in town visiting your student. Prices are similar to Starbucks.

This place, without a doubt, has the best coffee in the town of Harrisonburg. I dont normally advocate for one coffee over the other, so long as Im getting my caffeine, however I REALLY like this places coffee. Also, their service is bar-none and I am definitely going to be patronizing this business in the future.

Stopped this morning on our way through. Read through the ratings before stopping, it was our second choice, but first choice wasn’t open yet. Friendly service, though pretty slow. Coffee drinks need some work. Espresso beans weren’t fresh as they could be seen through the greasy hopper. Professional tip, wipe out hopper at minimum weekly and beans are only fresh for 2 weeks.As I said, very friendly staff, but in this setting need to up your coffee game, especially at those prices.

Excellent coffee but I wish they would make the drive thru a little more SUV friendly. Small spot that can be difficult to drive through. Service is fantastic

Love greenberrys their coffee is really good the fact that they have a drive-thru super cool theyre building is really neat. I love that they renovated an old building instead of building a brand new one. It gives it kind of that classic diner feel.

Excellent, versatile coffee shop with a lot going for it: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, lots of modular tables, good food, great location just off campus. Has a hip personality featuring an easy-pay rewards app, and offers doughnuts from a local specialty shop on Fri/Sat. Ive seen people doing everything from studying to dating to having performance review meetings here. Awesome place for the local coffee enthusiast.

I just ate the best curried chicken salad sandwich Ive ever had. The facility was clean and the staff were very friendly and expedient. I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Over the 3 1/2 years Ive been going to Greenberrys Ive received consistently good coffee, espresso shots, tea, pastries, and sandwiches. I highly recommend the tomato mozzarella sandwich.Greenberrys offers a nice place to have a cup of coffee with a friend or quietly study with some music they are playing in the background. They never play music too loud and the tunes are usually pretty good. Ive heard a lot of Deerhunter, Grizzly Bear, Radiohead and Sonic Youth in here over the years. But, like I said, its never too loud which makes it a nice place to read or study some flashcards.

Coffee is not great to me. Sorry. BUT... Nice place! GONNA try something non coffee next time.

Greenberrys is such a nice little coffee shop. Its got a drive through, plus theres plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for those who have time to relax.

If you order the cappuccino, be aware that half of it will be foam. I did enjoy the atmosphere.

Have been through the drive through multiple times and it takes so long. Have been sitting at the window where they give the food and had to wait 15 minutes. They really could do better.

I here almost other day. Employee always extra friendly. Food is for sure 5 stars. Always freshly made and keeps me going for many hours after eatingI learned to try drink before I leave so I know it is what I ordered.

Service and coffee quality were above and beyond my expectations! The Curry chicken salad sandwich was mouth wateringly delicious and took no more than a few minutes to prepare...I plan to return.

Latte was average. Added almond mild and extra shot and they charged an extra $1.85 on top of drink. I think this is pricey but thats me. There arent alot of coffee houses options in the area so i will give them another shot.

They have great bubble tea in the summer.

Great community gathering point for JMU and Harrisonburg. Love the free local and school newspapers, and I can never pass up their veggie breakfast burrito.
