I love our home town Ace Hardware! They have everything and the most friendly staff to assist you! Lauren is my favorite as she used to work for the Historic Furber Farm.

Generally succeeds in keeping me away from the big box stores out of Hastings. Great for a lot of home maintenance items; they will get the right person to answer your questions. I like the purchasing coop model that allows stores to retain their independence.

I did an online order and that called to let me know an item was out of stock. Everyone was nice. Found what I needed without any issue.

-2. I heard the managers talk about one of their employees. Here is something I heard them say “was he dropped on his head?”. I have been in here multiple times and I have seen how poorly the younger staff is treated. It breaks my heart, this kind of treatment will forever break their self esteem. I think some of the managers should be reported for harassment.

Ive visited this Ace a number of times and on each visit the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. On one occasion, I went in to exchange my Craftsman socket wrench and the process was very quick and easy. I definitely recommend this Ace.

I went to the Ace Hardware in Hastings yesterday to get 2 deadbolt locks rekeyed. What a Great store. All the Staff was very friendly and helpful. They make the customer feel very Special. Highly recommend to anyone in need of Hardware Supplies.

Fast friendly service some items are overpriced but a great variety of fishing gear was able to find hooks that I couldnt find anywhere else.

Disappointed with quality of help received. Two gentlemen attempted to help me find the valve I needed, but gave up quickly. When I mentioned that their website said they had it in stock one responded that its usually not up to date ... standard response. I continued to look on my own and found the valve in a matter of a few minutes. I let them know that I had indeed found it and showed it to them. They seemed happy but genuinely surprised. To be fair, they did try.

Always very helpful, can go up to anyone and ask anything and they will point you in the direction you needed to go! Also they have bait for fishing!

Their service is excellent. Very helpful & knowledgeable. Will deliver large loads such as 10 bags of mulch and/or dirt. Have variety of cleaning, BBQing, and seasonal canning items.Only thing, Be prepared to wear your mask as not all employees wear masks if I remember correctly. If wrong sorry. Cash registers need plexiglass. Always a good experience though.

A super helpful team of handy helpers are always there to greet you at the door and find what you need. From household fix it project items, to a beautiful new mower, we love the convenience and service of our Hastings Ace Hardware. Were so fortunate to have them near our home. Theyve saved the day on quite a few occasions.

Not exactly sure what guy helped me but i was a mess coming in looking for some wood pieces to help me fix a bed frame I broke. He not only made my day by helping me find a better deal but he also cut the wood up for me there! Amazing customer service!!!! Thank you

This is why I love small town hardware stores. If you are a builder obviously you wont waste your time here but for home gamers and wanna be home maintainers this is the spot. Knowledgeable employees and per usual they are killing you with kindness the moment you step in the door. Always smiling and typically know what you need. Obviously oddities are out there but hey I will go here vs Menards for small projects every time.

Nice store! Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well organized. Very reasonably priced. I bought one of those Garden Hopper rolling storage/seats for $20 LESS than it would have been at Walmart. I will definitely be shopping there again.

I was really impressed at how respectfully I was treated on two recent occasions by everyone on staff that I interacted with. I was greeted by a woman who used her walkie to get me immediate help in the department I needed and then given helpful and interested attention by an older gentleman and another man on some questions I had about wire sizes. It was nice to be taken seriously and not talked down to as you sometimes get being a woman in a hardware store. My questions were clearly important to them. I highly recommend this hardware store!!

They are very helpful, but Im enormously disappointed in the lack of safety measures for covid 19. No masks, no plexiglass, workers standing too close. The outside nursery is the same. Its like they dont care about senior citizens.

I am alaays greeted with a smile and How may I help you or what is it you are looking for?. The staff is knowledgeable and yet listens to question about procedures for getting the most out of the chosen product.

The lady that helped me went Above and Beyond to help me find what I was looking for.

Employees harass you the moment you step in the door. My first time in the store I just needed spare keys made. Before I even had my foot in the door I was asked if I needed help finding anything. I replied no, I just need keys made. The employee pointed out where the key center was located, which I could clearly see and DID NOT NEED HELP FINDING IT. I took three steps into the store, three, and I was asked by someone in paint if I needed any help finding anything. Again I explained that I just needed a key, and again I was shown were the key center was located IN THE CENTER OF THE STORE IN PLAIN SIGHT TEN FEET FROM WHERE I WAS STANDING. I approached the key center and an employee standing in front of the counter asked if I needed any help finding anything, I have been in the store less than thirty seconds and i have been asked this three times? I told this employee I needed keys made. He replied that he couldnt help me with that I would have to ask the woman standing behind the counter ONE FOOT AWAY FROM HIM. She said it would be a couple minutes for the keys to be cut. During this time I took a look around the store, because it was just opened and I wanted to see what they had. during this time I had to explain over and over again that I was just looking and I was waiting on keys, I lost count but it was more than five times. The kicker is that the keys didnt even work. Every time I go into the store it is always the same. Every employee asking if I needed help, and I usually dont because if I need help I ASK FOR IT. I now wear sunglasses and ear buds with music playing to avoid this annoyance. It is unnecessary and boarder line harassment. I hate this store and if it wasnt across the street from my house I would never go in there.
