What a great experience. Mussels as a starter was a very good choice. When I told the waiter that I preferred grilled calamari to the fried calamari on the menu, I was told: no problem, we will grill them for you. The quality was great. The price reasonable. And immaculate service, eventhough the place was busy.

We come here often and always have a nice time with good food and drinks for reasonable prices.And again the waiters were very kind. Simon arranged a pizza that was not in the menu, but s special wish. You just ask it and he makes it.Thanks again. We will come back for sure!!Mark

Had a fantastic experience here, our waiter was great and very respectfull, he recommended us the lampuki whitch just came into season and it was a great fish meal, we also had some calamari that was a bit rubbery but mostly good, has a great sea front view and would recommend going for breakfast for the sun rise.

Very busy restaurant had to take a table by the entrance meals of fish and chips and burger and chips were very nice one water and one lager €24 good service.

I love Bayside restaurant! Good food and a great view, what’s not to love? Wether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner they have you covered, prices are reasonable and quality is great! Options for kids available too from what I remember, they have a bit of everything so everyone will be satisfied.I’ve been here many times and the seafood prawn spaghetti is amazing! With no shortage of juicy prawns might I add :) Can’t wait to go back.

First night out on Malta, and we picked Bayside due to the location with the really nice view of the sea.We were greeted by a friendly and positive staff.We made our orders, a ham pizza for my girlfriend and I took the charcoal grilled chicken fillet with mushrooms sauce, salad and fries.Unfortunately, were the dishes not as beautiful as the sea view. The pizza didn’t look home made and the crust not that satisfying.The chicken dish looked blend and there were very little salat - a couple of salad leaves, two olives and a half tomato.The chicken was cooked too hard in my opinion but the grill taste was there.The fries were mushy and not that interesting.The friendly staff and the amazing view did make a nice evening.

Standard Maltese menu with no nice surprises. Old scruffy and very limited wine menu.That whole place deserves a good modernisation.

Ideal as a coffee break in mornings with a large sunshade cover and cool temperature even in very hot sunny days. Just a few metres from the waters edge for a swim. Some good pasta dishes and fresh fish too.

Large group of over 40 people, but staff was very patient & served us all very well. Great spot for parties. Cheesy wedges are yum 😊

Fantastic view, good Sangria but the food was a huge let down. The calamari was inedible, I have never seen calamari that has been left so long under a warmer that it had hardened the edges. I am hoping this was just a bad day for the chef or they may lose a lot of Summer business.

Only 1 polite waitress not saved wrong kitchen and rest of not skilled stuff😒🤔. We would like to test some maltezien special meal, but it wasnt good choise. Horrible rabbit and bad smelt ground meat.

Best breakfast joint in Bugibba. We tried quite a few over our two weeks and these guys were consistently better. Nice ambience, real coffee, great brunch club toasties and an epic view from the deck. For the best experience, always order the Maltese menu option wherever you eat in Malta and your palate will thank you.

House wine was nice but 4 euros dearer than our previouse visit to a restaurant just down the rd so be aware the drinks are what can increase the bill

Food (if you could call it like that)was smelly, old, green and disgusting. I wouldnt even serve it to my dog. Wont coming back and will deffinitely not recomend to anyone. Stay away from this place to avoid food poisoning

The View was great. The Food was fine. But the service was terrible! The Restaurant was about half empty when we came, but still it took over a hour to even get our Starters. And another long wait until the food finally came. The Salad didnt have any sauce, which is fine, so we asked for oil and vinegar which never came. We had to get it from the couple next to us. Same thing with Ketchup and Mayonnaise. After a couple of guys asked for a ash tray, which they never got, they just asked us for ours. When the Bill came they charged us for more then we actually had, which they did correct after we pointed it out. But they still managed to mess up the change by 10 Cents, which we let slip although we were set to give them no tip for the bad service.Summary:Nice place, okay food, nice but incapable Service Staff and hours of waiting time. I do not recommend going there!

Called in here due to the rain we had beef stew and bread which came with a glass of wine 7 euro so not bad. food was nice, Hot and enjoyable. Passed many times glad we called in this day would try again.

Just had a lovely meal with my partner at Bayside. Food excellent. Staff made you feel welcome. Menu prices good. Stunning views from the terrace. Would highly recommend. I really do not understand some of the negative remarks that have been made.

I have visited this establishment in January over the last few years. Pleasant customer service remains a strong point and location and views are very pleasing. The menu has always had a British flavour and seemed authentic to that aim in the past. I have to say that the 2019 Cod & Chips lunch was less so. Considering the pleasant locationprices are reasonable.

Great burgers, the rabbit stew is sublime. A heavenly view. Highly recommend spending several hours here. Very reasonable prices too

Very poor service, we had to wait for nearly an hour for our food. We had two very hungry children of seven and eight to keep entertained which was hard work when they were crying with hunger! The food was ok, but not worth the wait. I had pasta, kids had chicken nuggets and burgers, one salad and a sword fish, we cant understand why it took so long. People around us who came at the same time were getting their food, staff said they wanted us to eat together, but we werent bothered about that just feed the kids! Be prepared to wait if there is a lot in your party! We wont be going again.

Nice views and friendly staff. Food is average I think. My Chicken teriyaki was not teriyaki sauce, just a generic sauce for a steak. Im a bit like Smithy in Gavin and Stacey and dont want to be given chips and salad to share. I want my own, not only that, it was just enough chips and salad for one person! Kids were happy, as said food not bad, prices not bad. Ive been going here for many years, the fish can be very good, but with a prawn allergy I dont risk due to contamination. I guess maybe when an establishment caters more for tourists, you sort of get what you get (Im not a tourist). As said all staff very friendly.

Lets start with the positive points of Bayside Restaurant:-It is next to the water and thus has a nice viewNow that we covered all the positive points let us start on everything that is wrong with this restaurant:When we came in we were not greeted whatsoever and had to ask to be seated. After choosing a spot we noticed how bad the chairs were, but who are we to complain since we only had to sit on it for a short diner right? Wrong! After ordering our food and drinks we were still in a good mood. But after waiting for more than an hour our food finally came and our mood was way worse because of our hunger and the bad chairs. After receiving our food our mood only got worse, the food tasted really bad and the service was just as bad. When we asked to pay after our dinner it took way too long until we could pay. Obviously we were not going to tip them which the manager did not like since he asked us if the price we wanted to pay was okay three times.DO NOT GO HERE

In short:- Great service- Awesome ambience- Food so-so, really depends on the dish (e.g. grilled chicken is delicious, pasta could be better)- Drinks also depends (e.g. Sangria is delicious, most cocktails not really)I recommend going here if you want to have a nice and relaxing evening. Service is always fast and friendly and you always get a seat here. Enjoy!

Absolutely negative. We waited 50 minutes to get over cooked pasta and totally flavourless fish, prawn salad and chicken teriyaki that we sent back. Definitely a restaurant to avoid.
