First time using Meineke. Store manager, Mike, was really helpful and answered my questions. I had an oil change and they were great at letting me know that I needed new air filters. I like when mechanics know their stuff and do it correctly and are truthful. Thank you for making me laugh and my wait was enjoyable!

I brought my commercial work truck in that I use for my business to simply check to see if I had any exhaust leaks since it seamed a little loud. I was advise by my tech and manager that there were no leaks but my muffler was very rusted and would be a good preventative to change. I took their advise and they replaced. I was told them I was ok with doing this work as long as it was not louder so they proceeded. The muffler was louder and now how a rattle. I reported this and they told me for an additional $50 I could get the factory exact replica which I would have paid for from the beginning. They installed that unit and my truck sounded like a moped and its a V-8 350 utility truck and this one had a rattle. Now finally back for the third time they install another different muffler but this time down sized the pipe before and after this muffler to adapt my original pipes to this muffler and I instantly noticed loss of power on the highway especially due to the restriction and verified with my long term mechanic that I mistakenly didnt use and thought a professional exhaust shop might be better. Finally I was done with this company after lots of lost time with my truck and frustrations. I finally got the manager to agree in writing that I would have this muffler taken out by another company and would bring unit back with pipe reductions still on for a full refund. I had this done and did receive my money back and my truck sounded great and power was back to normal. I gave two stars since they tried to make right and gave my money back but I will never use this company again for anything. This was over a couple months of headaches and I had someone else rectify the problem they created three times. Would not being my vehicle there.

The shop has a new owner and I noticed it just by entering the waiting room. It was clean and new chairs complementary water and coffee. The Service desk employee Devin was great he gave me a reasonable estimate for the repair so I would definitely go back. They also send you a text telling you what you had completed on your car. So much better the the original owners.

Its my 3rd time using this particular Shop every time they did an excellent job, from the managers the To all the technicians. They take time to talk to you and explain the problem And what they recommend for a solution Also the pricing was excellent.My experience with them has always been 5 stars .I Highly recommend them☕☕☕☕☕

Mike and his staff are professional and exude integrity. I had what I thought was a big issue with my exhaust. I scheduled an appointment and got there a fair bit early. Mike didn’t let me wait and squeezed me in as soon as he could. The mechanics took me under the truck and showed me the issue. Very minor issue and I wasn’t even charged for it. Little acts of integrity and professionalism like this are what companies should be built on. If you build trust with a customer they’re bound to spread the word. I’m now a customer there for life and would 10/10 times recommend anyone to head over to Meineke in Hawthorne. Thank you Mike and staff.

I have been using Mainekes services in Hawthorne NJ for over 10 years. I have always been satisfied with the quality and professionalism.This time I am disappointed. The quality of the service performed recently was high as usual, but not what was agreed. Before handing the car over to the service, we determined the scope and price of the service: tune-up including replacement of spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor and the most important injection and fuel network service. The price was agreed with Mike at $ 580. I left the car for service when Mike was absent. The car was taken over by young workers who confirmed the previous arrangements with Mike.Unfortunately, the work was limited, the fuel line and injection units were not serviced. I paid $540 for it and I feel very disappointed because this simple job is usually done by myself for a cost less than $160. And the essential work had not been done.

These guys were great. They fixed my problem in a timely manner and checked my tires without any additional charge. Will be coming here for all of my car needs.

I was visiting New Jersey from North Carolina and my car started heavily leaking oil. I brought it to Meineke and they did a great job repairing my vehicle for a great price. It was also quick repair as well. I would highly recommend Meinicke.

Not professional at all, I took appointment and went to put in a resonator technicians was very unprofessional i respect the guys that work all day in there under the cars but with all due respect this job was very easy to do and the mechanic told me he will pass (i did not argue) on this very easy job not only that but saying i have a leak everywhere was either a lie to make you replace the whole system or ignorant because the exhaust system was recently replaced from another mechanic and the other mechanic used the sensor that is very accurate to smell and check for leaks after he was done. when a mechanic tells you that your vehicle is unworkable on, you think its really bad but the truth is when you go to different mechanics they all work on it and does the job done, but this shop refused and expects a clean and new car to come by to repair, they dont want to get there hands dirty dont waste your time they did not qoute me for anything but I bet the price was unbelievable expensive, i had high hopes for this place i am glad they did not work on my vehicle.

They quickly looked at,, quoted,fixed my exhaust leak, with no appointment. And charged me even less than they told me it was gonna be. Really nothing more you can ask for.

Mike the manager is a car guy and a person who knows how to build customer trust. He took care of my girlfriend’s car and in the process established that he wasn’t just interested in making money on one transaction but more interested in establishing the business that we felt comfortable returning to.Nice to see real customer service still exists.

I have been a customer of this shop for years and they always did a great job. I guess the honeymoon is over. I took my car in for an oil change and to check my brakes. First thing I noticed was that the complimentary tire rotation wasnt done. I know this because one of my tires is different and it was still in the same location. I was told my brakes were fine and here I am a few months later with brake pads so warn you can hear them scratching the rotors. I can no longer trust this shop with my car and my safety.

The dealership was not able to perform the repair I needed because there suppliers no longer carried the parts, then I went to an independent shop, same issue. I was referred to Meineke, from a Machanic to go to this shop, which was about an hours drive for me. With the knowledge from Mike and the Meineke team, my muffler was able to be repaired in-house with the pipe bending machine they have in place and the best part, is that I saved money to.Thank you to Mike & the Meineke team!

The guys they were great their. The front desk Manager I wanna say took time out to talk to me about the work that being worked on an seem to care and attend to other problems on the car that could occur if not taken care of. I would definitely recommend people to this place. Very happy.

They offered me 2 free oil changes as compensation, however, I told them that 1 free oil change would be more than enough to reimburse me. Thank you Meineke - I feel vindicated now.I received your response that you certainly dont want to leave me with this impression yet you offer me nothing in return for the over-charge? I feel put out again.They extended me a $25 Very Important Customer Discount which I truly appreciate (since the always double the price of the part) but then they charged me $31.30 for Shop Supplies (what supplies did I possibly consume worth over $30 for a Starter motor replacement?) that completely negated the coupon . I feel put out.

They did a lot of work and didnt fix the problem. This has been an ongoing issue with my vehicle. They said theyd test something free of charge after charging me an arm and a leg for what they insisted would fix the problem and then conveniently werent available to take my call. Said would call back and did not. Guess when its free, they dont want to see you or hear you. And Ive spent tons of money here through the years!

I had to visit meineke on short notice due to a dropped break pad. I was able to get in on a moments notice and the owner/staff were no B.S. and didnt try to sell me services I did not need. I felt I could have a good and informative conversation with them and they took care of my problem efficiently. I have been going to the dealership to keep my warranty in good standing, but I will be going here from here on out as their service, knowledge, and assistance beats anywhere else. I get my oil regularly changed at Meineke. They are always fast, efficient and I feel like I can trust them. Yesterday I had an issue getting the hood of my car to properly close and the mechanic not only fixed it (free of charge) but he showed me what to do if it happens again. I really appreciated it and it made me feel like a valued customer :)

Installation not done properly,nobody is gonna drive their car with the catalytic converters flashing under the car,Im saying anybody can see the catalytic converters miles away. When I brought the truck in the morning it wasnt like that .that was amistake on their part, plus I was charged 120.00 dollars to correct the problem. On top of that they installed the wrong flowmasters they never asked me which flowmasters I wanted they only asked me if I wanted magnaflow instead. This was letting me know they werent prepared with the right product. There are 3 types of flowmasters I wanted a roaring sound, Inever got the muffler that makes a roaring sound.lots of luck to the technician who corrected the problen he redid everything and made it look like showroom.

I took my 2010 Nissan Ultima for brake job I wish I would’ve never went there I picked up the car it was $495 for the front brake and rotors way overpriced and I come to find out that they didn’t even grease the brakes A normal price is about $300-$350 whatever when I called Devon back to let him know he laughed very unprofessional I will never recommend Meineke on Goffle Road to anyone

Our 2014 Ford Escape broke down in Weehawken and we had it towed to a Ford dealership in the area. Being from CT it was nerve racking trying to coordinate fixing your car from a different state. After the Ford dealership told us we needed a new transmission we decided to get a 2nd opinion. We took it to Meineke of Hawthorne to get it looked at. Mike was very professional and diligent and quickly looked at the car after the tow truck dropped it off. He spoke to me about potential options even though he confirmed the transmission was gone and I needed a new one. He was understanding and willing to work with me in this not ideal situation. Mike and his teams knowledge and service truly went above and beyond as I only stepped foot in the garage to pick up my car. I recommend them highly to anyone who gets stuck in North Jersey.

I had their very first appointment of the day at 8am for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told by the shop manager that it would take about 40 minutes. I got there at 7:55. But it took them 1 and 1/2 hours that caused me to miss my business meeting. .My car smelled strong cigarette smoke inside when I got the car back.

I love having this shop near me. They are my go-to shop to keep my cars running well. Great mix of quality/price/professionalism. One interesting thing about them is their passion for cars. It’s not just a job for this team!

Let me start saying that Mieneke was one of my favorite car service facility. I go to Mieneke in Hawthorne every 3,000 miles for my car oil service because is close to my address I have been going there since 2018 but lately they find new issue with my vehicle that needs repair. On 10/30/20 I went for a oil change service, On this day it took them 2 1/2 hours just to do the oil change and they recommended to do the antifreeze flush (currently their price are ridiculous). She ask me if my check engine light was on when I pulled in that one of the sensor needs replacing. my car DID NOT HAVE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. WTH! WHEN YOUR GUT TELLS YOU THERE IS SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON WITH MIENEKE, GO WITH YOUR FEELINGS AND NEVER GO BACK. GOODBYE MIENEKE! (TOTAL DAMAGE $340) not including the oil change and antifreeze flush. :-(

I installed ***less headers on my 2004 E60 530i and the mid pipes didnt line up. My car was super loud, and they cut and welded my pipe to fit and also fixed my o2 sensor because it didnt fit properly with the headers. My car is quiet (for now until I change the exhaust) and no check engine light so far. They also pointed out that I needed an inspection which I shouldve done before I installed the headers but I got the inspection and passed. But I feel they are very thorough and dont regret taking my car there.

My experience has always been great and Ive been a customer for years. My last experience November 2nd was nothing like that. I was treated rudely and left standing waiting for at least ten minutes or more to pay my bill while Cristie hold a full pledge conversation with someone on the phone. There was an elderly gentlemen waiting also. She then got up left the counter and proceeded to the back, there she stayed another 5 to 6 minutes talking on the phone. One. Of the workers told her she had a line and PEOPLE were waiting! She ignored that, kept talking as she came back to the counter. I dont want any difficulty or feel the need to argue with Anyone, especially an adult. She had already hung the phone up with whomever she was speaking with, they called back..instead of her informing the person she had customers and would need to place them on hold or call them back.That is not the way to treat anyone. Also I was told by her after she saw me writing a check out, she tells me afterward, we dont except personal checks. I think I deserve an apology. Thank you.

Brought my 2014 Ram 2500 there for broken exhaust manifold bolts was given a fair and honest quote with the possibility of an extra part being needed. The job was completed the small extra part was needed final price was exactly what I was quoted. Joe and his staff are very friendly and professional my truck was fixed perfectly in one day. Side note the dealer did the same job on the opposite side and had my truck for 3 weeks. Highly recommend this shop it’s difficult to find good HONEST shop’s nowadays.

My mother in law mentioned to me that Meineke was participating in free oil changes for Veterans, this was perfect as I needed one anyways - as I work a fluid job - its difficult to make firm appointments - I called as soon as I got out of work, roughly 4.5 hours prior to when the shop would close and was kindly informed by the shop that they were backed up and couldnt fit me in today . I called the second closed facility to my home and it was quite the opposite come in whenever and well make sure we get you in ( fair lawn - thanks!) . Now, dont get me wrong, I dont believe Im entitled just because Im a veteran - but if an oil change takes roughly 10-15 minutes and I called as I said earlier 4.5 hours before close - did this location have roughly 18 plus vehicles there waiting ? Nonetheless, I am grateful another shop can hook me up - just wanted to put an FYI out -

Broke down on the highway towing a horse and trailer. Was towed in near the Meineke facility who diagnosed and fixed the problem (collapsed catalytic converter) and had me on my way very quickly. Anyone who moves horses knows that vehicle problems can quickly turn into a nightmare - the folks here were nothing short of amazing with the way they found the parts needed and installed everything. A situation that was looking to be pretty grim was actually turned into a very pleasant experience - I met people that day who proved to me once again that there are still many incredible individuals in the world. Thank you for helping me - all of you made the world a better place that day for a guy who truly was in a bad spot. My horse thanks you too.

I called Kristen one afternoon as I had lost the heat shield from my car. She told me to come over and they would take a look. Only waited for a short time and they checked out my exhaust system and fixed 2 leaks that were an issue and had me out and on my way in half an hour!! Really nice people, and very professional! I called on Saturday spoke to a young lady that got me in for a Sunday appointment, I needed work on my muffler which was about to fall off. I actually got there an hour and a half late, but Carlos was accommodating and still allowed me to drop my car off. Dropped car off at 10:30 and got it back by 1, great customer service from Carlos to the mechanic. This is going to be my repair spot from now, first impressions last, trust me.

This car repair shop is the best customer service that I’ve seen. My car broke down right off of a highway. While I was waiting for a tow truck to arrive I gave this store a call to give them a heads up that I’d be towing my car there. They offered to come pick me up from that location and drive me back to the shop. Since I lived in town they even drove me home once my car was dropped off and picked me up later that day so that I could pick up my car. They were quick to take a look and diagnose the issue and luckily is was something that they could easily and quickly fix. I will be bringing my cars here in the future for any issues and/or tune ups. Highly suggest to use this repair shop

Prices are moderate at best, facility is a bit dingey and cluttered. at times can be almost impossible to pull your car into the lot.Owners a hot head, occasionally seen just going off on people.But the lady behind the counter is very attentive and caring for the customer, so I give it a three star.Not the greatest meineke, not the worst.
