Lovely little yarn store. Great selection of soft, and huggable, alpaca wool. As well as wool from other animals. The lady working there was so nice, and knowledgeable. It was a wonderful experience.

I have shopped Alpaca Direct for well over a year. When the pandemic hit I tried to support local business - including Alpaca by purchasing needles, markers, counters and yarn. When they were did not have the colors I needed in a merino wool, my daughter found the yarns and shipped them to me. When I asked, as a repeat customer, for them to wind the yarn, they refused. I hadnt purchased the yarn from them. Despite being a current customer, despite my supporting them during the pandemic, they refused this small service. How short sighted. Im deeply disappointed. I have spent hours winding my four skeins of yarn, something that would have taken them a few short minutes.

I ordered online but I havent received my order!!I called, but NEVER HELPI got replyI got this It will likely arrive in a day or two. Often that can happen with USPS. We work hard for great ratings so were disappointed you gave us a 1 star review only 1 hour after notifying us that it had not arrived. Do you think this if fair? I ordered the Chiagoo needle set and one of the cables had a sharp edge where the yarn was getting stuck and I contacted the company (Alpaca direct) and they couldnt have been nicer and more helpful...they sent me a new set of the cords and they work perfectly. I Highly recommend this company and will continue to purchase from them from this day forward. Kudos to their customer service and a special thank you to Jim!

Everything in here is soft and amazing. They have THE MOST COMFORTABLE SOCKS! everyone is getting a pair for christmas. The staff is very helpful and the alpaca fiber is all so soft!

This store in absolutely amazing! Kelley is incredibly knowledgeable about everything yarn and and knitting. She really takes the time to understand what you need and can find the solution to any problems you may be having! Their alpaca socks are the most comfortable socks Ive ever worn! They last forever and keep your feet dry and comfy the entire day. I highly recommend everything they carry!

Love this shop!! Expert advice for when you havent been able to find, just the right yarn. They have a great selection of yarns. I make a lot of knitting pieces where they yarn is no longer available, and they are always able to find really great replacements that WORK! Wonderful People, and one of my very favorite yarn shops.

This is a very nice store and the folks here are very helpful.My only disappointment was the small selection. Very nice products, just not much to choose from based on an end user perspective.If you are a crafter, there are many products here to choose from.Great little store, its just small.

Beautiful store- color everywhere- quality products

My favorite yarn shop ever. I love the owners, staff and shop. Learned how to knit years ago and been going to open kit once a week ever since. Those ladies are like family. I also have a wonderful collection of yarn to play with as a result.

Horrible customer service through Amazon. I ordered size 6, they sent 6mm and expected me to pay return shipping for their mistake when Amazon and I contacted them. Amazon issued me an immediate refund. Three weeks later they contacted me and claimed they only offered a prepaid return label and to send out the actual item ordered. Amazon verified and immediately refunded, AD is claiming Amazon verified their story which is I got what I ordered. I got the immediate refund, they are still floundering around trying to sell their story. You decide. I just know I wont order from them again.

Very helpful staff, a nice selection of knitted pieces to look at, wide variety of yarns. If looking to complete a large project, finding enough in the same dye lot may be challenging.

For a small storefront the selection is ok, more of a web-order place. The real complaint, their customer service is terrible. They have very invasive email usage policies and when Ive complained more than once they are not very responsive. For example, an $8 in store purchase generated 4 emails in less than 24 hours. If you dont mind this then this may be a great place to shop. For me, Ill spend my money someplace that respects my preferences. Also, they are very hungry for feedback, big request on black board in store and one of the emails was requesting feedback... yet when I called to complain, I was told I was nasty.... so here is the feedback they so desperately only want if it is positive.
