This incident happened on 1/6/2020. I called at 12:44pm and asked if my books were ready and was told they were ready to be picked up. I arrived at the bookstore with my order number and got told by the lady in the front that my books were not here and they would not arrive until Thursday. I was confused because the person I talked to on the phone said my books were ready. I left the bookstore and called the manager. I was transferred to the same person I spoke to earlier and told her my situation. She transferred me to the manager, Michelle, and she told me that my books were ready and that the associates did not check right. It was a good thing I did not leave the campus because I would had to make two trips. Just putting this message out to the students so that they dont make two trips or get wrong information. Make sure you speak to a manager because some associates make mistakes and you cant trust their word sometimes. I got my books but its very discouraging when someone gives you the wrong response.

One star because the two girls in the front were helpful and nice . Rented a book from here in the beginning of the semester & came in today to return but staff refused to accept it. They said that there’s to much writing on the book. Told them I got the book like that & that I barely used it & I didnt write on it but they didn’t believed me. I told them it’s their fault for not checking all the books to make sure there’s nothing written on them before selling. There’s other books with writing on them. They told me I had to pay or it will go towards collection. Does it really ? Spoke to manager & explained again (which I did about 3 times to different staff) and told them that is not fair because staff didn’t warned me that it’s non returnable. Didn’t want to pay to buy it. Manager said that it’s not their staff fault but mines ??? I rented the book for $25 & now spent $8 to pay to own it. Really upset & mad about this! Never had this experience before but now I won’t be buying or renting books from here. Will tell friends & family not to purchase & to be careful if they do want to. I think when it comes to buying books from here, It’s a scam. Really want my $ back. Unfair....

Has printed signs saying Google hours are incorrect. Why would you go through the effort of printing a piece paper but not simply changing your online hours? This is basic business stuff. Seriously, why intentionally have the wrong hours? Google makes it stupidly simple to own your posted business info

All of the in store workers are fantastic and as helpful as possible but its clear that there is someone in administration or management who has no interest in helping the students find their books. The organization system changes every few years for no discernable reason, and sometimes professors dont order textbooks for the bookstore, and don t give a disclaimer that it isnt there. Overall the experience is annoying and unhelpful especially considering the premium that students pay for these books

They sell tech items such as ipad, Mac with about 20-25% markup. Outisde it was for 329 and they are selling for 400$ 128 GB Wifi Ipad.Given they know students cant spend there tech device dollors(250$ voucher) anywhere else, they charge huge more for every tech device you buy from here. .

Not only are their prices ridiculous but I literally walked outside two steps, walked back in when I realized I already owned the book and didnt need it, and they refused to refund because it was final sale. I understand if I had left for even half an hour, or came back the next day. But I went out the door, went back in and cant do it.Sorry. I dont know how you can compete as a textbook bookstore when you have terrible return policies and no flexibility whatsoever. I will never purchase another thing from them, thank you for pushing me forever to Amazon and half price where they dont price gouge students and are always understanding of a students Financials.Id burn this $25 useless paper weight, but Im pretty sure Amazon will help me sell this.

Great store but dissapointed in selection of larger sizes in T-shirts for real women who have chests. I couldnt find the size needed. The ones marked as larger sizes were for junior highers larger size. Great customer service just not a very diverse selection for a diverse sized students school.

Good pricing compare to other schools bookstores. Great Place and great people working in it. Love everything in Pioneers campus.

I called the bookstore asking for assistance with a $500 voucher which didnt actually work when checking out.. the girl that answered me asked if I wanted to speak with a manager and I said yes and upon being transferred, I was hung up on. I thought it was a mistake and I called back and the same girl answered... when I told her what happened I was hung up on AGAIN. I called a few minutes later and a boy answered me this time, and put me on hold, and then I was helped out by the same girl from earlier. She tried to connect me to her manager again and this manager didnt answer. I dont care for the voucher anymore, and I dont blame the student workers. Im just disappointed at the bookstore itself.

They offer price match for books now. Line is always long. Memorabilia is expensive on a student budget. Not a lot of snack or food options.

I work here in the Technology Center. Ask for help with your computer needs, come in for food, CSUEB merch, and textbooks too

One stop to shop for CSUEB mementos. Expensive if you want to purchase books go with Amazon instead.
