I had a great experience with Sierra Soapstone. Our project was a small firepit table, and all of the other stone places we talked to wanted a lot of money for a relatively small piece of stone. However, Rosemary at Sierra Soapstone worked with us to find the right piece of soapstone for our project, and her price was very competitive. She spent as much time with us as if we were doing a whole kitchen. The finished project turned out great, and we couldnt be happier.

Our kitchen remodel was quite simple and basic... except for the soapstone. It elevates the entire main floor of our home; it is absolutely stunning. The creativity and attention to detail in planning is one part of the experience; the installation is the other. The strength and competency required for our install was crazy and they all delivered. Ive wanted soapstone counters in my kitchen for years, and they finally became a reality when I bought a vintage home needing a remodel in the East Bay! Sierra Soapstone had a variety of beautiful slabs from which to choose, provided great information, and the price was reasonable. The project went very smoothly and all of the staff were very helpful and professional. Kudos to Rosemary, in particular -- she was wonderful!

I have had soapstone counters installed in 2 kitchens in the last 8 years. All aspects of our transaction with Sierra were superior to the experience we had with a soapstone company out of San Francisco.The price was lower.The communication was better. This is important in the selection and aftercare.The final product was superior (more professional looking installation--smoother, greater detail in transition pieces, etc.)

Fantastic experience. We looked at a lot of soapstone places and Sierra Soapstone had the best selection of stones and good pricing. In addition, their customer services was great from start to finish. It took us almost 7 months from the date that we purchased our slabs to the date that our counters were installed and throughout the process Rod and April provided great communication and were very, very responsive to our requests. Rod also provided invaluable advice when it came time to lay out our counters and determine overhang, sink placement, etc. We have a big island (4x9) that was made in one piece and we were a little nervous about how it would get installed. We shouldnt have worried. The installation team was top notch. There were extremely conscientious and careful in addition to being extremely nice. I would recommend anyone thinking of getting soapstone to talk to Sierra Soapstone first and last.

They were so helpful in educating me about the product, helping me choose what would be best for my space, as well as giving me ideas about details of the product. They have a wonderful selection to choose from and they will find you exactly what you are looking for- color, texture and size. They were prompt, reliable and very efficient. Our project was done in a very timely manner and we are thrilled with the outcome. I cant begin to say enough wonderful things about this company, I cant wait for our next project to be able to use them!

They scheduled a showroom visit at off-hours due to scheduling conflicts, squeezed our installation in around the holidays on short notice, came in at the most reasonable price among the competition, and installed a beautiful stone with great skill. When I had a small problem come up after installation, they apologized and immediately agreed to correct it, no questions asked.Dealing with this company was easily the best and most hassle-free experience in my kitchen remodel. I have had a soapstone countertop before, so I knew what I wanted when I walked in the door of Sierra Soapstone in Rocklin, CA. Rod, the owner, was highly professional and ready to help me make decisions. He showed me beautiful slabs and reserved a slab, advised on features and introduced me to April who would be my main contact from here on out. Thai came out within a week to make a template of my counter area. And two weeks later Thai and a colleague demolished the old countertop and installed a beautiful soapstone countertop. The stone is even nicer than the stone I had previously. The price was right. The material gorgeous. The people professional. I couldnt be happier.
