Went for my annual safety inspection. Jaime took care of it quickly, and very friendly service. I noticed one of my stem covers was slightly stripped when I filled tire before going there, and he gave me a replacement.
Customer service always cortious and mechanic did good job on my bike in and out in a punctual time frame .
A pillar of the community. Honesty and fair deals is all that you can get.
Always a great experience....Family owned..Personalble and professional thanks Bill
They are very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with about there inventory. There repair department is good. I take my scooter every spring to get serviced. It is done in a reasonable time, and the price is fair. Im looking at getting a ATV from them.
I go there for parts for my yamaha. Good people. They have been there for a long time. Go check them for your next bike or utv or jet ski. They even sale Husqvarna bikes as well. Stop buy and check there out
Great place, we bought a Bimini top for our Yamaha exciter. While we were there browsing picked up a few life jackets. Great showroom and friendly people Thanks!!
Awesome shop. Got me in and out quickly, good advice and friendly service. Ill definitely be back!
Bought a brand new jet ski from the owner Billy. He was beyond genuine and professional. Answered all my questions. Answered every time I called. And made sure everything was done timely and correctly. He made sure I knew how to operate the jet ski and maintain it and it was overall a flawless easy and Satisfying experience. I highly recommend this place to anybody. All my future watercraft purchases will be from here. Thankyou again
On 1-14-2019 I contacted this business in regards to a motorcycle for my 14 year old daughter. I found it on line. I called and was transferred to a gentleman named Bill. I asked if they still had the bike. Yes. I then asked if I had enough time to travel to pick up before they closed. The gentleman said let me check with my wife I think the kids have basketball. OK I said. He called me back and said yes. 6 pm should allow for enough time in your travel. I then asked him if he took credit cards. He said yes. We will have to charge you the additional cost for processing. I said OK. I picked my daughter up at school at 1130. We set out on our journey. We arrived just before 5pm. Walked in. My daughter did not know she was getting a new bike. She put it together quick! I had to walk to the back to get someone to acknowledge our presence. I met the parts man in the back and he came forward. He and I discussed parts for a bit. I then heard a voice ask how was I going to pay? This came from a ladys voice. I was talking with parts guy still. She called out my name again. I said Yes maam. She asked how was I going to pay. I said with a credit card. I pulled my wallet out and handed her my card. She looked at it and said, We dont take American Express. Now mind you, they have 2 stickers on the front door that display the American Express logo. It also shows Visa Mastercard Discover. It actually has 2 American Express stickers on the door. One says American Express Cards Welcome. I have pictures. I said I was told on the phone that you accepted AMEX. About that time I heard a voice from behind. A man said You did not say it was AMEX, they charge a higher fee! I said OK. He then said in a very nasty way, You are being DECEITFEL! I was taken back. I said what do you mean? He said it again, You are being deceiving!! He then made the comment that (me) as a business owner, I should know it comes with a higher fee. I said and when I price our product, we include finance options and if the customer wants to pay cash we offer them a cash discount. I am not sure what me being a business owner has to do with this transaction. At this point I was speechless!! I gathered myself and said, I dont care if its 47% additional, if you will just sell me the bike I will be on my way. The only reason I stuck with the transaction is because my 14 yr old daughter was there. Had she not, I would have walked. He kept mumbling something and walked away. The lady who I hound out was Mrs Harper proceeded to process my transaction. He then came back around a few minutes later and mumbled, I heard 6%! Thats what they charge. He then left. Never saw him again. When the paperwork was done, the lady handed my daughter the paperwork. I then said Maam, respectfully, I have never been treated this way in a business before. And if you are not going to take AMEX, then you should probably take BOTH stickers off your door. I then stood up and walked to the fron door. I was looking for the bike. I walked outside and it was in the parking lot. NOT ONE PERSON FROM THIS DEALERSHIP CAME TO HELP ME LOAD THE BIKE IN THE BACK OF MY TRUCK. NO ONE. THIS IS UNHEARD OF. We just spent almost $7000 for a product and was treated like this. No one shook my hand, no one told my daughter to ride safe, NOTHING. Once bike was loaded, the parts man came outside and started taking the bikes in because it was closing time. I walked over and took 2 photos of the front door and of the credit card stickers that were displayed. I then gave him my 2 cents and left. We then drove 5 more hours back home. 10 hr round trip and almost $7,000.00 later I was never disrespectful, never raised my voice and never made it personal. This was a terrible experience. This is an example I will use with my 2 daughters on how not to handle a customer with regards to our business. He could have introduced himself, and said sorry for any misunderstanding. How about we split the difference on the additional fee.
I contacted these folks about doing the first service on my new waverunner. After telling me it was new and “probably didn’t need anything” I explained that the owners manual calls calls for a 10hr service. She then ask if I purchased it from them (not sure why this matters) I told her no. (I had contacted them to get a quote but never heard anything back. That could have been corona related.) She said they were a couple weeks out, I told her that was fine because I had counted on that and was calling ahead. She said she would have “him” give me a call and let me know if they could service it for me. Never heard back....*First bad google review for anyone.....
Great Customer Service and great experience overall. Found exactly what I was looking for and made purchasing very easy ! Thank you!
Love this place great service friendly personnel Mr Bill (Owner) treated us like family.
They saved the day we were camping and our golf cart charger bit the dust they were fast and very helpful... would definitely recommend
We needed an air filter and support as we left ours at home and the nice folks at Harper sold us the airfilter off on of the bikes on the sales floor. They saved the day! Great service and very friendly even to northerners.
I always get my inspections done there, nice.
Great, friendly and knowledgeable dealer. Shopping for a dual sport. Bill was awesome!
Recently took my bike in for an issue that had been stumping me for days. These guys knew exactly what to do. They did it quick and did not gouge me on the price to do it. I will go back to them without hesitation.
Guys are great. Well knowledgeable and they know their stuff. Also owned by an eagle scout. Gotta love that
Very nice, got to look at a few bikes were interested in, Bill was extremely helpful.
Needed inspection. Got inspection. All good.
The first and last time I ever went into this shop I never saw anybody. No employees and no customers. It was like a ghost town. It was old, small, very dirty, and only had a few dust covered motorcycles on display. I waited and walked around, I even said Hello, anybody home? several times. After about 5 minutes I just left. I even called this shop after I had drove away. Some elderly woman answered, I asked for sales, I was on hold for over 5 minutes. I just gave up and hung up. I planned on buying a new motorcycle that day and paying in cash. Harper Cycle is a joke and a waste of time, oh well their loss. I then drove to the local Honda shop a few miles away in Hendersonville by I-26 and bought my new motorcycle. The Honda shop was very nice, clean, and the staff greeted me as soon as I walked in their door. I bought a new Honda motorcycle, paid cash, and even saved money. The out the door price with tax was under retail and they even loaded it into my truck for me. I was on the road with my new Honda in about an hour. I love my new Honda motorcycle!!! I am amazed that Yamaha would even allow a dealership like Harper Cycle to even sell or represent their product. BUYERS BEWARE!!! Stay away, and go anywhere other than this hole in the wall.
Parts and service is great! Jamie is very helpful and easy to deal with!
I had a great experience. Billy was very helpful, he found the scooter I wanted, took my trade, and came and picked me up; his mother handled the papers, was very friendly and chatty and sent me out with it in the rain... Im looking forward to working with this family again. Thank you Harper family!
Helped us out in a bind during a ride. Spent time explaining things, too. Great place!
I was traveling with my motorcycle in North Carolina and had a mechanical issue. I contacted Harper Cycle and experienced first class customer service. They went to bat with the manufacturer to get my parts over nighted and to come up with a work around that saved me over $800 in additional travel expenses that otherwise would have been incurred. To be traveling and have a less than a 24 hour turn around for a major issue is service above and beyond.I highly recommend this firm based upon my experience
My parents recently bought a jet boat from them. The experience was top notch! The staff were all very helpful and the transaction went smoothly!
We have been working with the staff at Harpers for the past three weeks looking at motorcycles, buying accessories, and setting up service for our bikes. The Star Accessory sale is fantastic!! The Staff never grew tired of us. They always had time for us and they were very helpful. Looking forward to future business with Harper Yamaha!!
I have revised my review. I have bought two bikes there as they are the only Husqvarna dealer around. After they pursued an issue on a Husky with an expired warranty, I was impressed and gave them a 5 star review. Subsequently I learned from Husqvarna that theyll back up their products beyond warranty if theres some obvious flaw. So its not like they went out on a limb. Why one star:1. Oil drain plug left untightened on 701 Enduro. Leaked oil.2. Sloppy holes on a 701 enduro, looks like they used a knife to cut out the holes to attach the factory rack.3. Failure to trickle charge battery left there for a month waiting for part.4. Second bike had no coolant in reserve tank one ride after getting first year service. Isnt that supposed to be checked?5. Same service date, bike was unrideable due to clutch cable being too loose, again arent they supposed to test ride the bike?5. Repeated unreturned calls and texts to have warranty work done on dashboard of second bike, finally had the part sent by my calling Husqvarna USA.6. Picked up bike for recall and was reassured that bike was tested and fuel gauge worked. It didnt work and wasnt even close.Previously we have defended Harpers on our towns local facebook page. There were some nasty reviews from people who had posted various warnings about them. Check out the We Are Brevard facebook page for details (not sure how long those posts remain, but they are from over a year ago)FWIW if you happen to believe Covid is not a Democratic hoax, they dont wear masks. At the time of this writing, it is a law in NC that people must wear masks when they cant socially distance. I wish Eurosport Asheville was a Husqvarna dealer.Update July 21: Fuel gauge problem with one of my Huskys was fixed at 10 Cycles in Matthews. Also found out that the other problem with odometer was due to failure on Harpers part to transfer data when doing replacing defective dashboard. If you need any warranty work on Husqvarna Id recommend stomaching the 2 1/2 hour drive to 10 Cycles and getting the work done right. Just a casual look inside their shop and youll know youre on a whole different level.
I brought in my 2 jetskies and customer service was hands down best Ive had to deal with. Answered my calls and stated on phone with me. Were very honest and got my machines working great. I appreciate them and will always be going to them for service on my watercrafts
I went to Harper Cycle and Marine to get help with a Vintage Vespa that was imported from overseas. Jaimie, Brian and Perry were so helpful. More importantly they were kind and thoughtful. I never owned a scooter before . They advised me on what fluids I should use and initial operation. They uncrated it for me and allowed me to store it there until it could be inspected. They gave me a general briefing on licensing and road safety tips. When all was said and done they loaded it on my truck and strapped it down. I have not experienced that level of service in a long time. They accomodated me every step of the way. I would recommend them anytime to anyone. That is how a business is supposed to be run.
Worst service you can get, took my new waverunner we just bought 4 weeks ago took it back to the same place we bought it for a first oil change, took 14 days for a simple oil change. Got it back had no dip stick in the oil compartment, check engine light on. Took it back, the OWNER tried to blame us for taking the oil stick out, and turning the engine on while it was on the trailer. Never going back for anything. Not worth wasting time driving 1 hour for rudeness and accusations!!
My wife and I purchased a brand new waverunner around May or June of 2017. The buying process was fairly straightforward and painless. We also brought it here for service a few times and had a few issues. Most of them we just brushed off and didnt let bother us, but two issues really stood out. The first was when these guys forgot to put our back seat (3rd person seat) back on the watercraft after service and covered it up with the cover. There was no way for us to know just by looking (since it was covered), and we figured they did everything right (our mistake) and took it all the way to Lake Keowee. As we were about to launch, we found the seat missing. At this point, Harper was closed (close at noon on Saturdays) and we lost an entire boating weekend. They did offer a free winterization as a consolation, so well give them a little credit there. The second issue was worse though. I bought a hose adapter in order to run the waverunner outside of the water, as I was in the process of selling it to upgrade to a yamaha boat and wanted to be able to run it for potential buyers. After purchasing, I discovered that I actually had an adapter that came with the ski in the owners booklet hidden away (in our dry storage compartment). I sold the ski the next day after purchasing the adapter and called Harper Marine the next business day asking if I could return the adapter. I was told that they would only accept the return if I still had all of the packaging. I kindly explained that I didnt, but considering that it was a ~$15 accessory, I didnt think theyd act that way since we purchased an $11k+ waverunner not long ago. After some back and forth I let the associate know that it was pretty simple math - they should have advised me that I already had this part. But even if they didnt, the return should have been a no-brainer if they wanted to keep my business. ESPECIALLY since Billy already knew we were on the market for upgrading to a boat (we spoke in person and on the phone). Finally, the associate told me that theyd take the return, with an attitude, and immediately hung up. Thats fine, I dont need to give you my business. Guess what? My wife and I purchased a brand-new, 2019 $40k yamaha AR-195 from a dealership in Greenville, SC. The experience was the polar opposite from this place. We got white-glove treatment and were treated well, as if they wanted our business. Dont waste your time with Billy and Harper Marine. They are stuck in the 20th century with their business practices/policies and office administration. Not to mention, Billy and his staff have an attitude. Just because youre the only dealership in the immediate area doesnt mean you can treat people that way. Ill drive an extra distance ANY day to not have to deal with you guys. Last thing Ill say is that it always felt that Billy never took us seriously. My wife and I are a young couple and it came off as if he didnt think we could handle a boat purchase. Never once felt this way with the folks in Greenville, SC. Better step it up!
I had a very pleasant time there, with Billy explaining to me the various jetski available. He and the mechanic help me out alot...Great showroom. Thank you
They do great work and Jamie is awesome.
Harper Cycle &Marine had some nice motorcycle and others nice stuff.
Dont buy anything here they cant even pick up the phone
I found the staff to be knowledgeful and willing to go the extra mile. I would certainly buy my motorcycle at this store and have it repaired here too.
Bought pwc and took it back for first oil change. When we got home we realized the dip stick was missing. When we brought it back he accused us of doing it. We drove an hour there and an hour back that’s not even logical to think we did it on purpose. DO NOT buy from this little guy he is too big of a child to take responsibility for his actions.
When I was shopping for a yamaha boat, I stopped by Harpers. They were accommodating at first, however, they did not have the model that I was looking for. When I was told how much it would cost to get the one I wanted, it was several thousands of dollars higher than driving farther to a dealer that had the boat in stock. To me, it wasnt personal, just common sense. Since purchasing my Yamaha, I have tried to get it serviced at Harpers without success. When I called about service, I wasnt asked about when I could bring it in. Instead I was asked about where I originally purchased the boat and told that they wouldnt service it because it wasnt purchased through them. If you are willing to pay more and subject yourself to being treated as a burden rather than a customer, then youve found the right place.
Very nice and very helpful and I ride a Harley
