I have to agree with most everyone else here. These folks are great. Very polite and accommodating. Very knowledgeable and professional too. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for eye care.

I am sad that I just became aware of this practice. That said, I am yelling their praises from the mountain tops now.Professional and KIND staff. Great pricing for glasses. Dr. Poole is lovely and informative. An excellent experience overall. Makes me wish I had more than two eyes.

I truly had the absolute best experience at my appointment. I have never enjoyed going to an eye appointment until I had my visit at Blue Ridge. Everyone I spoke with was incredibly nice and made me very comfortable. I truly felt that the doctor was interested in making sure my eyes were in great health. I especially thought Maddy was amazing. She found me the right fit in eye wear and made sure my total cost was within my budget. She even knew if I didnt like a pair before I could even say anything, she has a gift for this! I 100% recommend their office.

Honestly, I cannot say enough good things about this office! I had to bring my one year old with me unexpectedly and the doctor and staff were all very understanding and accommodating! Dr. Poole was very thorough and really took the time to explain things. Also, I can’t remember her name, but the lady that sat at the desk in the very back (on the eyeglasses side) really made everything so easy and she was a an absolute joy. I can’t thank you guys enough! I’m so happy I changed providers and will be sure to come back every year.

Dr. Poole and staff were awesome. I haven’t been to the eye doctor in years and was very nervous. They made it so easy and I was always comfortable and thanks to all very informed. What made it even better is that I made my mom an appointment right after mine and they accommodated us. Treating us like family. First, they never told me how long it would take and never called me when my glasses were ready, altho they claimed they did. After waiting 2 solid months I stopped in one day to find they were sitting right there. So I tried them on, they fit good, I left quickly bcz I was in a hurry.When I got home I realized they were distance glasses, not reading, which I explicitly asked for. They said no problem, theyll fix them & theyd be ready in 7-10 days. Really? Wow.Well, about a month went by and no one called -again -so I called them. It was a Friday and I was told my glasses just came back that day but they still had to inventory them so I could probably pick them up Monday...and they would call.No call on Monday. I waited a few more days and then called them. A different woman now said that my glasses had broken when they were in the shop getting the lenses put in so they would have to do it all over again (thick, plastic frames -not sure how professionals would break them). I said fine, I didnt bother to ask her about the woman who told me they were in and just had to be inventoried (or some story), it wouldnt have done any good. I still had my old glasses so again I thought just be patient.So about 3 weeks went by and I remembered about my glasses. This time I looked at the calendar and noted it was 3 weeks. No call. By now I realize they arent the fastest or most efficient eye glasses service but Im stuck with them, and this is just how they roll. I already paid them $70 above what my insurance pays for and I liked the frames and I really didnt have the time to go to another optometrist and start over. So I decided to wait a little longer.Well, 2 days ago I was in the area and remembered about my glasses so I swung in to see if they were making any progress. They made so much progress my glasses were sitting right there, ready to be picked up. Again, no phone call. So I went over, sat down and tried them on and told myself make sure this time you can read with these before you leave here. So I did, I could read fine.I had my face mask on though and the glasses kept fogging up which annoyed me so the only thing I conscientiously checked was if they were indeed reading lenses and could I read with them. I only wear glasses when Im at home to read with and I dont have a mask on at the same time so Im not used to wearing a mask and glasses together, not used to the fogging issue. It distracted me so and also by this time Im not too crazy about this outfit and these people so I took my glasses and left. No reason to hang around.Then I got home and when I put my glasses on they were tight, quite tight. I thought thats weird. The first pair they made for me, the driving glasses, fit me perfectly (the frames they claimed the shop broke). But these frames were tight to the point the arms squeezed my temples making them really uncomfortable. So I took them off and tried spreading them open some, stretching them; that worked a little bit, for a few minutes. But when I take them off then go to put them back on again the next time, theyre tight again, pushing right into the temples.Im not sure why I didnt feel this when I picked them up. I didnt noticed if the woman behind the desk stretched them any before she handed them to me. But they are definitely too tight and now, every time I go to put them on I have to spread them apart at the outer corners, where the arms screw in. I know eventually theyre going to break from doing this. And I shouldnt have to do it but lord knows how long Id have to wait if I took them back yet again.Its been 4 months and Ive got glasses that give me a headache at the temples and I can barely stand to wear them. Ive never had so many problems at an optometrist before, Ive been wearing glasses almost 20 years. They take forever, they do not call, they invent stories and flat out lies and they screw up your glasses, they cant get a simple reading glasses right. I will never ever go back there.

Dr. Poole has been treating my autistic son and I for years. He has a wonderful caring staff that always goes above and beyond to make sure my son is comfortable and feels safe. Great eye place :)

I have gone to Blue Ridge Eye Care & Dr. Poole’s office for years. I credit him with saving my vision several years ago. I recently fell & had two horrible black eyes. Dr. Poole checked my eyes for any damage & gave me peace of mind. He’s extremely knowledgeable about health & eyes in particular. Dr. Poole takes time to explain details to his patients; and, has modern equipment to make sure anyone being examined for eye issues - receives the best diagnosis & care. He’s a very compassionate doctor; and, I keep him & his staff in my prayers. So very glad Hendersonville has Dr. Poole!

Very covid safe. Even though appointments running behind schdeule, Didnt mind the wait time to be safe and Dr Poole always has great attitude and good mood. Office folks got me referral appointment as quick as possible. My experience is always pleasant. Highly Reccomended.

Today was the first time that I have visited Blue Ridge Eye Care for an exam. The staff took precautions following COVID-19 protocols and met me at my truck when it was time for my exam. It was great not having to have my eyes dilated, as the digital image took place of that need. Dr. Poole was very thorough in his exam and made sure that I would take my time and not make any hasty calls on a lens image’s clarity during the exam. The exam went well and every part of the digital image was discussed. After the exam, the rest of the staff were very helpful in helping to pick out and purchase a new set of frames and lenses. My coworker is also looking for a new eyecare provider and I’ve already told him to check out the folks at Blue Ridge.

My husband and I recently went to Blue Ridge Eye Care for a standard eye exam. Prior to my visit I researched several places and chose Blue Ridge Eye Care based on favorable reviews, competitive pricing and an informative website. I really appreciated that I knew exactly what it was going to cost vs. other places quoted me a big range. I am so happy with my choice. I honestly cant say enough great things. Dr. Poole and the entire staff were so nice, on time and very thorough. It was the most thorough eye exam Ive ever had and Dr. Poole explained everything he was doing along the way in an easy to understand manner. Its so seldom nowadays that doctors take time with their patients and the time Dr. Poole took was greatly appreciated. My situation was easy. 20/20 vision. But my husband had a few issues that were explained and remedied. Dr Poole was terrific, explaining the condition of my eyes and determining my new prescription perfectly.Kevin helped me pick out my new frames and went out of his way, at my request, to obtain sunglass lenses that will magnetically affix to magnets set into the eyeglass lenses, even though they dont usually offer that product.I recommend Blue Ridge Eye Care!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pooles for 7 years now. Even after moving out of state I still drove back to his office for all my vision care. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field, professional, & kind. One of my favorite doctors. Most importantly his staff is also a huge reason why I continue care with them .. his office manager Cheryl is extremely thorough with explaining benefits and helping you find the best route to go to be able to maximize your benefits available and save money. They also have worked me in over the years immediately when I’ve needed emergency appointments due to scratched cornea from contact lense. Highly recommend this practice.

I have been using this clinic for about three years now. I really like Dr. Poole. I feel he is very complete and thorough. That being said, I wish they could compete with Glasses Frame Prices on line. It cost considerably more to buy your glasses here then online stores. If you want to take your prescription and measurements with you, they charge $20.00

I have a been a patient at Blue Ridge Eye Care for several years now and am so pleased with my continued care. Dr. Poole has the most impressive people skills. I have never experienced such great care by a health care provider. His staff are always warm, friendly and helpful and they have a great selection of glasses.

Very much improved service compared to Sams optical and Hendersonville eye care. Dr. Poole was patient and knowledgeable since my Rx is much more complicated than most. Other places I have been made much less effort to get it right. I felt safe and confident that I had made a good choice. Next years exam wont be such a dread. Update:9-2020. A year later the practice is even better, Maddy is the cherry on top of professional service that has been added since last year. Absolutely amazing!

Went in with my prescription and my frames just wanting lens. I ordered my lens for my sunglasses and got my glasses back a week and half later. The lady that ordered my sun glass lens broke my frames. She completely handed me back broken frames. I would suggest not to shop here or trust them with your glasses. She said shes been working there for years but they obviously DO NOT have experienced and qualified people.Edit: from their response I will note that yes they did call me, but I told them I do not want them touching my glasses. I did not want my time wasted on something they obviously couldn’t fix. One of the employees did contact me in a VERY unprofessional way and harassed me. With the response about an employee, I do not have any problem with any employee. After all I didn’t get any of their names because of NO name tags. They just need more education on customer service and fixing glasses.

Doctor Poole is always thorough and explains what he’s doing and why. I value his service as my optometrist.

If I could give zero stars I would. I made an appointment two weeks ago and when I went in today they said they didnt have any appointments and the doors were locked while on the phone she said I wasnt even in their system.
