I was originally going to give a 2-3 star because when I walked in no one greeted me or even acknowledged me. After several minutes a man working in the glasses said something to me and then told the front desk to help me. Still waiting, one of the ladies finally said something to the other lady. She said she was finishing something then would help me. The other lady got a husband and wife checked in before my lady was finished with my insurance. I even did the check in online to speed things up and yes, I had an appointment. When it was my turn to go back, the lady that does the eye test before seeing the doctor was very nice. Then the doctor was even nicer and very thorough with my exam. I wanted to try a new kind of contact and he was very helpful with it. He actually gave me several samples to hold me until my contacts come in. When I checked out, the lady originally checking me in was actually nicer and tried carrying on a conversation. They are short handed like everyone else and I’m sure they are doing their job and jobs of people that aren’t there. I never said anything to anyone about the beginning because I don’t know what someone is going through.
The Vision Works in Hendersonville, TN has excellent service, friendly staff, I was in and out super timely. A special thanks to Angel who helped me, she was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Would definitely go there again.
Reasonable prices for exams and for glasses. They make the glasses in house so there is a super fast turnaround. Contacts usually have to be ordered, but they have always given me the pairs I try on during the fitment. Only negative is that they are always busy so call ahead. Also, the entrance is from the access road behind. Turn in like youre going to Subway or McDonalds.
Such a great experience! I’m so impressed by the professionalism of the staff at this location and the quality of my glasses! Everything from the check in to the doctor to the person that sold me my glasses was great! Will definitely be back for years to come!
Daniel was very helpful and fast in helping fix my son glasses! Thanks again!
The staff was super friendly and helpful during the whole process. The doctor was very knowledgeable and made things easy to understand. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
I have been using this store for almost a decade now and have been happy with the service and the optometrist who work from there. Be sure and tell Daniel about this review.
The Dr. I saw was wonderful but the follow-up and service were absolutely horrible. Do not go here unless you want to be belittled by phone staff. I did receive a follow-up call after the fact of the matter but I had already moved forward with ordering contacts through 1800 Contacts.
Great people and personable answer all my questions
Manager super friendly and helpful 😁 Great service
The only reason Im giving them 2 stars is the eye exam portion was quick, and easy. After the exam not so much! My husband went in for an exam and to get new glasses. He went through and picked out the frames he liked, and then waited for someone to help him, and no one ever did. He finally walked out of the store. We will never be back to this office.
Very professional staff. I have been going here since moving to Hendersonville several years ago. Very pleased!
Visionworks in hendersonville is great. I had a quick and very helpful experience with this location. The lady named Angel was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely be using this place for my eye care needs. No complaints at all!
My optometrist and I couldn’t receive a “information release form”, via fax or email, within a timely manner. The form must be completed in order to obtain my prescription… (Well over an hour)
I’ve always liked going to Visionworks, but yesterday’s experience was the best! Angel is amazing at what she does and is personable. She really enjoys helping her customers from beginning to end. Thanks Angel!!
The staff are very helpful and the optometrist is knowledgeable and caring. Ive been using this location for over a year and am very pleased. They have a great selection of frames to choose from, and service is fast.
I have been getting glasses for years from this place but will not anymore. Poor customer service. Glasses first made wrong then new frames falling apart a month later notice scratches on lenses. Poor quality and the store offer to buy 2 new pair on the promotion on door. Really glasses only good for 90 days......I will pass
I had been to another eye doctor before I came to this one. I had a piece of metal in my eye and the doctor before said they got it all out, well they didnt. I had told them there was still something there but thanks to the doctor at vision works, he was able to find and remove the rest of the metal and my eye feels 1000x better. Definitely would recommend this vision works.
Doctors are great but the people at front desk dont keep up with the charts 40 minutes after my appointment time had to ask what was taking so long then stopped talking to each other got my chart and took me back.
Very bad customer service. I drive 6 and a half hours to get to this appointment and have an appointment scheduled at 3:00 pm. I called to advise I will be 10 minutes late and they wont see me. Terrible.
Drove an hour to get here for them to tell me I can’t get new frames until January. I’ll never come back here bc of lack of communication.
They were so nice, respectful to my daughter and myself. They made us feel very comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone.
Dr very knowledgeable about eye conditions and helped me to understand a few issues that I have. He answered all of my questions fully. Took his time finding what prescription worked best for me.
I loved the doctor that was there on Friday she was very patient and answered all my questions the guy (i believe his title is a assisted) he was awesome as well. I also had a pleasant experience with the lady that take pictures of the eyes...BUT there was a heavy set Caucasian woman (w/glasses) who sat behind the desk and had very poor communication skills. She spoke down to her coworkers. I have know idea why is still employed there. The company need to send her to a class on How to communicate in a respectful way. This could have been 5.
Everyone was friendly, however, they seemed to have overbooked with only one doctor seeing patients making for an extremely long wait time. I was very happy with the doctor. Very thorough and knowledgeable.
Everyone was very friendly and the appointment time was pretty fast. The woman that fitted me for my glasses was super knowledgeable as to which bifocals I should get. As I have been wearing lined bifocals for a very long time she said did not recommend switching to no line as I could have issues with the no lines.
Ordered contacts and been 12 days and still have not received. Tried to call and check on them and they do not answer the phone. When did her someone they stated they would call back but they never did. Still have no contacts.
Ive been going to this location for at least 4 years & have always had excellent service. The optometrists are excellent & I plan on continuing to go there.
The first visit the staff were awesome but the eye doctor I got that day ( not sure of his name ) was too speedy. I was in the chair for my eye exam for no longer then 5 minutes and he was done.....needless to say I did not get an accurate exam...he was not very professional. Got my glasses only to find out they were not correct due to the exam not being accurate. Went back for second visit...got the best eye doctor Dr. P...did a great job. Waiting to get glasses back hoping they are right this time especially since I had to spend $500 for them.......
I was very happy with my fitting for glasses. Angel took extra time with me to make sure my new glasses would be comfortable and that my prescription would work well in my frames. Even though they were very busy I didnt feel rushed. Thank you, Angel!
Courteous service and a very nice atmosphere at this location. The optometrist gives great feedback and they have a nice selection of frames and discounts to use. Yes I’ve been with them for two years.
The sales associates and the examiners here were all very helpful, understanding, and happy to answer any questions. I definitely recommend making an appointment to ensure you are taken care of, but if you walk in they are also more than happy to get you in if possible, but appointments are priority patients.
This place was awesome! I called to make an appt for my Daughter and they had a Saturday opening 🙌🏽 The optometrist helped explain the entire process and what exactly was wrong with my daughter’s vision. Tyler helped us pick out the perfect pair and made sure to guide us through the insurance process so we picked ones that were covered by insurance. 10/10 would recommend this place to any and everyone! ❤️
Extremely happy with Dr, receptionist and glasses fitting. On the other hand I am very very much unhappy with the one checking on my insurance. It took one and a half hours. She had all my paperwork, but she kept helping others and putting them in front of me. 3 times I asked about my insurance. She said she will get to it. I did have a appointment.
I went to a different vision practice in October for an exam. The Doctor was so incredibly rude and so were the staff members. I felt as if my vision had changed and told her numerous times I felt like it was not as clear as it should be. Other issues did come up to cause concern but I wanted a second opinion from a different doctor. I had previously been to a Visionworks before but decided to try this Hendersonville location. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and welcomed. I explained to them that I was granted a redo from my insurance for another exam due to the circumstance. Rosemary was the tech that I worked with while trying to get my case verified with insurance. She was so patient and polite during the whole process. She was very kind and answered every question I had and made sure that everything was thoroughly explained. Even the next young lady that helped me and did the eye puff was so sweet. The Doctor was amazing and took time to listen to my concerns. She was so professional and took the time to explain everything to me. She was very knowledgeable and truly cared. There was also a very sweet man that helped me order glasses and contacts. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend this practice. Everyone I encountered was so professional & kind. This Doctor was hands down the best I’ve ever been to!
This is by far the worse business in Hendersonville. The level of professionalism is that of a street worker. With the exception that the street worker has faster service. Go somewhere else!
Go to a family owned practice.
Great experience and excellent staff. My wife and I enjoyed the entire experience. We are now waiting for the arrival of our glasses.
Experience was extremely unpleasant. After the exam the optometrist gave me two samples to try and then proceeded to my husbands appt. As I was trying on the one set given me, I noticed the lighting near the cabinet where I was standing wasnt the best due to the casted shadow. The associate named Candy was sitting at a table with another customer, I asked her for a lens case to put the contacts that I had on in so I could try the second set, then compare the two. With the rest of my belongings, I didnt want to spill the open pack in transition to an area with better lighting. Candy said, I didnt need another case. I replied, I didnt want to waste them going to another table with better lighting. She said I didnt need to go anywhere, to decide where I was, and that I couldnt keep them anyway. I want the best experience to ensure my choice, so I moved near the windows and yes the contact pack spilled on the floor as I tried to place it back in a now solution-less well. Then Candy came over saying, They said you could have one. This isnt how it works, never in 20 years of contact fitting experiences have I come across such, her behavior is disgusting. I told my parents and brother, (who were waiting on my recommendation) not to make appts but to go elsewhere. I am quite sorry I decided to go there. This type of behavior to customers shouldnt be tolerated especially when I hear and see the reactions that this isnt Candys first time being nasty to customers. With as many people that are in the job market searching, surely there are better employee choices. It shouldnt be allowed for customers to continue to be handled so frivolously.UPDATE 9/28/2020Contacted them as requested however, I still havent heard from Visionworks Corporate as they claimed I would.
I am not a happy customer. This is my 1st time in this location I left work early to be here on time. As I sit and wait, some blonde walks in and says I have an appointment at 12.45, im late due to a wreck. So the girl at the desk took her 1st. So I let this place know that is not good customer service. Heck I should have went to rivergate. At least they are nice to people. Update. I am still waiting and the blonde who was late is already done. Wow. 1st impression are awful
Great selection of frames and love that my glasses were ready within 24hours. Will say that a few of the female employees need to be more professional, courteous and friendlier! Also, they need to do a better job with acknowledging patients when they come in!
First time going for an eye exam. Dr. Profitt and the staff were very friendly and made the process easy.
I just moved to Gallatin from Southern Illinois and hadn’t had my eyes tested in 6 years. Daniel made me feel welcome and worked with me getting the perfect pair of glasses. I came back in a week later to get a pair of prescription sunglasses and he helped me again, being patient with me as I am more picky with sunglasses than I am regular glasses. Thank you, Daniel, for making this experience great! Definitely will be continuing my business with Visionworks and will be recommending to anyone I can!
I usually have a good experience but the person answering the phone for the past few days was extremely rude for no reason I was respectful and I had called twice because she told me it would be done by 4 so at 6 I called and she was being smart again so I had my mom call today and she was rude then she said she’s been spelling my name wrong and acted like it was our fault she honestly needs to be fired
I have to give it a 4 star. I had an appointment at 12:15 and it was about 45 mins before they had me to do the eye exam. But other than that everything went fast
My wife worked with Debbie at Visionworks. She adjusted my wife’s old glasses that had been giving her problems for five years. She discovered that the lenses in old glasses had been incorrectly constructed causing my wife’s vision to be slightly off. Every time she went for check-ups she was told her vision had not changed. They were correct. The glasses purchased from another vendor were faulty. With Debbie’s help my wife purchased a new pair of glasses. Debbie saved us lots of money and my wife loves hers new glasses.
Honestly, if I could rate them negative stars, I would. I’ve spent less time on hold with Comcast customer service. Waited for an HOUR AND A HALF past my appointment time to even get back to see the doctor, and everything about the entire experience was so poorly organized, it was mind blowing how this location even managed to stay in business. When I FINALLY made it out of the back after getting checked, no one ever came to check me out or help me order my glasses. After finally being there for 2 hours, I walked out without even ordering a pair of glasses. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. This location either needs to be properly staffed, properly trained, or likely both. No one even had an apologetic attitude for the lack of customer service or the fact I waited over an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment. I will never go back!
Overall it was a great experience, considering we are in the time of Covid-19. The young man who fitted me and took care of my order was wonderful ! The part I did not care for and actually think it’s against HIPPA laws, I was standing by the door waiting to get my temp check and checked in and I could hear the conversation of the people ahead of me checking in. The check in desk is by the front door, out in the open and the check in girl is going thru a list of their medical history, checking it off on the computer. The customer is having to answer the questions out loud, for the entire waiting area to hear them. You know the questions about history of heart disease, cancer, AIDS, how does this office think this is okay to ask these questions, for the entire waiting and showroom area to hear ? Pretty invasive if you ask me.
Really pleased with the entire experience from getting an appointment, to my checkup and choosing glasses. I really appreciated they took time to look at my insurance so I could get the best choice for my needs.
My first time being a vision works in Hendersonville was a great experience. Everyone was nice and helpful. Doctor was awesome! She explained everything in detail and took her time. Prices for glasses are reasonable and lots of options
Staff was very friendly and patient as I was indecisive on which pair of glasses to choose! They had a good variety to pick from.
First time here and although the wait was longer than I hoped (little more than an hour before even seeing doctor) it was a pleasant experience. Staff was apologetic for the wait time as they were short staffed. Doctor was thorough with her exam and gave me recommendations for local eye institute to followup for my glaucoma.
The bottom line of this review is to commend Tyler for going above and beyond in service! I got 2 pairs of glasses here 2 years ago, had excellent service. I wanted a new pair just for style reasons and got an incredible sale offer in an email from them - I could justify getting another pair for that price! Went in on Wednesday, found frames that I loved but legally they couldnt use my current prescription because it was over the 2 year allowable limit, I had changed insurance that they were not covered by so I couldnt get the glasses that day. Got an updated prescription and when I came back 3 days later we couldnt find the frames! I wanted to make sure they were what I wanted. Tyler looked everywhere until he finally found them in a drawer! Thats what you call going the extra mile!
I am deeply disappointed! My husband just dropped off our sons glasses for repair and upon walking into your location after his temperature was checked, he stated that no greeted or even acknowledged his presence! Another customer entered and cut right in front of my husband and went straight to the counter and was helped right away! When my husband looked at the 2 ladies at the counter with a shocked face, that is when a young lady came from behind and asked if he was being helped. When my husband explained what happened to our sons glass and that he would need these repaired as soon as possible, the young lady made an unprofessional comment stating that if my husband had slapped our son and if that’s why his glasses broke….REALLY!!!! This is unacceptable and I hope that your employees are better trained on professional communication with their customers. I am also writing this experience to your corporate office and any other social media platform regarding this distasteful establishment you are running!
Always very friendly and informative! Really appreciate how the doctor walks me through understanding my eyes, instead of just throwing me a prescription and moving on to the next patient!
I had an appointment at 1045pm. I was not seen for my pre test until after 1200pm, and then didn’t leave until 1pm. They couldn’t find my little boys glasses that we knew were in office because we call prior to the visit. My husband had an appointment as well and he was wanting contacts and when we scheduled the appointment I informed them that it would be his first time they didn’t inform us that they were not doing new patient fit for contacts until after he arrived. The staff was friendly for the most part but definitely not really impressed with our experience.
I think was too many people just coming into the place at one time I feel like even with an appointment people should wait in the car if they are behind to me some people was able to walk in and not read the wait sign and just start walking the area without the test or anything
First time in this store and i came for such a silly simple request. Two pairs of my husbands glasses were broken and i needed to see if it could be fixed( missing screws).Tyler greeted me and finished them both in minutes.Almost went to Wal-Mart...lol. So glad i didnt.Tyler, thank you for having great customer service!
I absolutely love coming to this Visionworks! Tyler S. is always so helpful and friendly! I have a special needs child so the visit can be a little crazy but Tyler is always so positive and nice. He always goes above and beyond to help get what we need! He is an excellent/amazing asset to Visionworks!
There is no experience I waited on the phone for them to answer for 30 mins. Of they cant answer the phone how can they help with my eye care needs. I know they werent busy cause we saw their office in passing. 2 cars in the parking lot. So no excuse for not answering the phone.
Dr. Profit is super nice and very thorough! Staff is friendly!
The prescription was accurate, and I got exactly what I wanted.
My husband and I made appts, went on a Tuesday midday, and it was 45 mins after our appt time when we were finally seen. I thought maybe this was a fluke, then my daughter made an appt, and was there an hour and a half after her appt time before they saw her. This place is a disorganized joke! I will find somewhere else to go next time I need glasses!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
I had bought a pair of glasses at another location that did not quite fit right. The team here made the perfect, even though it was not the store I bought them at.
Especially during a pandemic, I hoped that a scheduled appointment would allow me to quickly check in and receive my eye examination. Though my temperature was checked at the door and I completed a survey attesting to my lack of coronavirus symptoms, the safeguards ended here. I arrived early for my appointment, along with my parents who had later appointments. I waited more than 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time before my name was called to complete the pretest. During my wait, I was stuck in the waiting room with at least one staff member and multiple customers who wore masks improperly, failing to cover up their noses and mouths. When I did take my pretest, the technician failed to check my identification. This led her to input my results in my mother’s file. A simple check of my first name or birth date should have revealed this mistake. Instead, I corrected the technician when I was brought back to the exam room. During my mother’s later appointment, this error had not been corrected. The optometrist thought that my mother’s vision had significantly improved, yet she had been viewing my eye history instead of my mother’s because of the mixup. Though I had no problem at all with the optometrist, who worked expediently and thoughtfully answered my questions during the exam, and many of the employees did wear masks and gloves in accordance with CDC guidance, I was disappointed with the overall experience of a long wait and the misidentification issue.
We went to purchase glasses only. Experience was fine and Customer Service was good. It certainly is a little slow when there are a lot of customers however that’s to be expected with glasses and the process. I would’ve given five stars if they had a larger selection of kids glasses. Overall we are happy customers. Convenient location, easy parking, clean store.
I just returned Home after spending the most productive hour and a half I will spend this week. I realized upon my visit I was in the midst of a professional retail establishment. It sometimes can be easy to determine the value of merchandise but the value of knowledge can be hard to identify and measure. Jaimie and Susan could not have been more knowledgeable, personable and communicative. To adroitly explain technical information to a laymen! figuratively requires 2020 insight. I am so excited to soon pick up two pairs of glasses, that incorporate Progressive lens prescription technology. When it comes to selecting where to protect and treat your eyes, I could not be more effusive about recommending Vision Works. They will show there is more to eyewear than meets the eye. Jaimie and Susan are stand out performers on Indian Lake Blvd. in Hendersonville.
Not only were they extremely busy but they were super nice and pleasant to work with. Very good customer service all around. The doctor we had was awesome!!! And they took Time with us and we didn’t feel rushed !!!!
The ladies at the Indian Lake Location are The Best, very friendly and make your experience in buying glass and spending my money was so WONDERFUL. Thanks ladies for being so sweet.
I used to work for this company back in NY for 7 years...I have to say I am completely disgusted with how this store operates and how it is run. I never write reviews but I am hoping this will be seen by a district manager so something can be done to help facilitate better day to day operations. Customer service is absolutely horrible with the exception of Daniel and another optician [a lady with brown hair who basically seems to do the job of everyone else] - the store is packed yet no one seems to know how to multitask, one girl just walked around in slow motion cleaning frames and putting them back on the self while there was a line out the door...she easily could have stopped what she was doing to check people in and return back to her task afterwards. During my initial visit the doctor neglected to notate that she had provided me with dailies due to an inflammed cornea and she had also changed my prescription; I ended up needing an extra pair of contacts to get me through till my follow up and the girl at the front desk not only gave me the wrong lenses with the wrong RX but she also gave me an attitude when I tried to explain what the doctor had done even though she had neglected to properly notate my chart. At my follow up I waited for 15 minutes to be checked out when i made it clear I wasnt ordering anything nor did I owe anything- one optician who wasnt doing anything said someone will be right with you as she meandered into the back, instead of quickly checking me out, and the front desk associate acknowledged me but then picked up the phone to verify someones insurance...instead of helping me while i stood right in front of her. The phone is constantly ringing but no one picks it up... I mean its a complete joke. I have never been more displeased with an experience as I am with going to this facility. The levels of incompetency and laziness are amazing... I will NEVER be returning to this establishment -hopefully someone steps in to help train these people because it is a shame how such a great company can be tarnished by one store. Oh and how about putting some music on to ease everyones frustration...
A plus for such a dedicated doctor who spends time explaining and repeating to each part of the exam to a quite nervous patient
Customer service and quality is what you get when you go to this location. Taylor does an amazing job ensuring your glasses fit and lenses are perfect. Takes time to measure and that personal touch. Take you to all the staff.
Very friendly service and very accommodating considering everything that is going on currently and great prices on their glasses
This is one of the friendliest place I have been to in a long time. It was pleasant from the time you walk in until the time you walk out.
The whole staff are friendly. People should realize that when you go to an optometrist to get glasses or contacts, you’re going to be there a while. It’s a long and involved process so bring Mr. Patience with you. They did a great job and we went with the anti reflective which (Jaimie) suggested in the first place! Thanks to everyone at V’works Hendersonville.
Me and all 4 of my children have used visionworks for there eye care. 1 in glasses and 2 in contacts. The Doctors are friendly and the front desk people are nice enough. Some of them more friendly than others.
The staff here were simply amazing! My appointment was at 4:15pm and I got done in about an hour. I purchased my contact lenses and new glasses that day! They made everything easy and quick! The staff is very helpful and friendly!
I had a great visit. I was skeptical going from all of the horrible reviews that I read before going, but Im glad I did not go off of them and went to find out for myself. I made an appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. Finished my paperwork and handed it in. There were customers in before me, so of course, I understood I had to wait. Spent about 45 minutes looking at glasses and was called for my exam. I went to look around more and saw there were 2 customers in front of me getting glasses/contacts, so I ran next door for a bite to eat, came back, and was seen and taken care of by Debbie who was very quick and efficient. My glasses are even ready a day after, which is unheard of. When going in for glasses, I always know to expect a wait even with an appointment. I am very happy with my experience and my glasses!
The best eye care place that I have ever experinced! Every one that I had dealings with were exceptional! I have never been made to feel as comfortable and satisfied with the service and help from the entire staff. Tyler really did a wonderful job of helping me select frames. I am very pleased and thankful for the help and service I received. I was not made to feel like they were just trying to make a sale, they really wanted me to be satisfied with my choices.
Just Stay Away. Long wait for optometrists. Contact specialist admin is incompetent. They couldnt get my contact numbers correct on the contact prescription. I kept double checking and it was wrong FOUR times in a row. Each error was a wait for the Dr to change. I walk out with the new prescription for contacts and they omitted the glasses prescription which was on the first incorrect form. It really doesnt put faith in their Dr or their administration for competent healthcare. Wasted two hours of my time between that issue and clearing up an incorrect billing issue. Do yourself a favor and avoid.
This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. The office staff is extremely rude. The doctors were nice and professional, but definitely needs to replace their staff. I came in twice and both times had a horrible experience. The staff speak to customers in a highly disrespectful manner after they go without acknowledging you are there. Besides the customer service my new glasses were ruined.
The staff was very nice, engaging and answered all of my questions. They worked with me and my insurance to find the best possible price. This is why I continue to return year after year.
Very friendly and thorough. Highly recommended.
I’ve been wearing glasses for almost a decade, and the experience I’ve had with this office has, by far, been THE worst medical/retail experience of my life. The doctor working in this office has provided me with the wrong prescription not once, but twice. The first time I picked up my glasses (after nearly two weeks of waiting for them to come in), I immediately complained of the lenses feeling blurry when I tried them on. That complaint was met by the entire staff informing me I needed to give myself time to “get used to them” (as if I haven’t been wearing glasses for as long as I have, and I’m not familiar with the fact that there is an adjustment period). However, I am fiercely aware of the fact that that adjustment period is meant to correct the feeling that the floor feels curved, or feeling a bit dizzy after the strength tweak in your lenses. Your lenses should NEVER be blurry the moment you put them on. Mine, specifically, needed a stronger prescription. I knew this because I could see clearer if I held the frames away from my face a bit. I told the store I would wait till the next morning to come back, in order to appease their “you just need to get used to them” statement. When I came back in, and saw the doctor again for another exam, she informed me that, yes, my prescription was way off and needed to be stronger. Okay, irritating, but we’re all human. The frames were sent off again, and I waited. Another two weeks went by, and they finally came back in. This was yesterday. When I tried them on, they were still blurry. Not as bad as before, but still very noticeably incorrect. I complained about it, which, shockingly—after my last experience with this staff—was met yet again with the “you need to give yourself time to get used to them”. So I walked out, and gave myself a day. Still blurry and not strong enough this morning. So, I decided to do some research: What was the prescription on my contacts from two years ago—the prescription that would be similar, yet WEAKER than the prescription on my old pair of glasses that I am currently wearing? I say the prescription on my contacts is weaker than my old pair of glasses because, generally, contact prescriptions are weaker than lenses since you place contacts directly on your eye, as opposed to glasses that sit farther away from your eyes. But I knew they’d be similar since I bought the contacts and glasses in the same day. The prescription on my contacts from 2 years ago is +4.00, and remember that’s WEAKER than the lenses I am currently wearing. My eyes have gotten weaker since then, hence my visit to this Visionworks office in the first place, so, naturally, I know I need a stronger prescription than what I’m currently using. The latest prescription that this doctor provided me with—her second attempt, may I remind you—is +3.75. I hope you understand how frustrating it is that I can see better out of my two year glasses than these new, twice-tweaked ones. So. Flash forward to today, right now. It’s been a month since I had my first exam done, and I am still unable to see in these frames—unbelievably irritated. The only reason I’m not just giving up and dealing with my old glasses is because I paid this establishment already for these frames. So I’m not going to waste my money. I’m obviously not going back to this Hendersonville location, because I do not have enough patience to give them a third chance, only to receive the glasses in another two weeks—and they’re still blurry. I have an appointment with a different Visionworks in Madison today, because I’m desperate. Mind you, the only reason I’m even GOING BACK to a Visionworks office at all is because—though it is a different location from the original office I used—they will not charge me for a THIRD exam or to fix the lenses, since it is the same company. Bottom line, if I could give them zero stars, I would. I have never been this exhausted, or frustrated to the point of tears, over a pair of glasses.
I went in to get prescription lenses swapped out of a faulty frame an online glasses website sent me into the new frame that website sent. The two ladies who helped me were great! The woman who swapped the lenses for me did it quickly, all while telling me ways to be careful when ordering glasses online (such as watching out for incorrect PDs). They didn’t charge me for the service of swapping the lenses, which I wasn’t expecting. They even cleaned the glasses when all was said and done! So sweet and highly professional!
Nice people but are always under staffed. Had an appointment but had to wait over an hour for exam and another hour to get set for glasses. This location is always busy I don’t understand why they never have enough staff for the customers. However when I did sit down with the person fitting my eyeglasses she was extremely nice and professional as was everyone there.
Was told on the phone the exam and a pair of glasses would be 49.99. Yeah right my exam was 69.99Plus $30 for a special machine to check the back of your eyes. Then 69.99 for the cheapest frames then $299 for my actual prescription lenses!! So add all that up and BAM a huge bill I couldn’t afford! So had to pay for my exam but couldn’t afford my glasses.. total bummer when I really need them.
1st time coming here, had an appointment here for my son, didnt wait long before this gorgeous red head, with green eyes came from behind to test his eyes, the exam was thorough, doctor walked in right away was patient to make sure he had the right prescription,Samantha was very patient/knowledgeable in helping him with first wearing contacts, Angel Helped us out with selecting glasses and Debbie was also very sweet helped us out with a coupon...........
Some of the kindest people I recommend this location every time. I ripped my super expensive contact on my right eye and they replaced it for free to help me out. They actually care about their clients and you don’t see that very often. Go see them they will take care of you!!!
This is the worst optometry I have ever been to, the staff is very inefficient and overwhelmed, and when you ask a question they give you very vague in Undetailed answers,They seem like they always have an attitude, I do not recommend this one if I was you I would go to another!!
Our experiences at vision works have been nothing but wonderful! They are always more than quick to help and friendly! Our exams were booked quickly and once we arrived we were seen within no time! They even gave me an extra pair of readers at no cost! Also my daughter broke her arm off of her glasses and they fixed them free of charge!! :) I would definitely recommend going here! I know we will continue doing business with them!Wonderful service! Friendly people!
Terrible service. I called ahead because I had very specific needs for my safety glasses. After being told they had what I needed to meet my employers requirements, I scheduled. After arriving I asked again to be told they would be pulled by the tech. I get my exam, and guess what no frames. REALLY??? Never again will I come to a vision works
Will never go back...been there twice, once to get exam because thats where my insurance said to go. Once to pick up my paper prescription..both times they were over crowded and NOONE had masks on.
Unfortunately the service at this location is lacking due to very poor staffing. It was not a good experience for my family and even though we had appointments for two of my kids and arrived early for the paperwork, it was over an hour after our appointment time before we were seen and another hour and a half waiting to get the prescription filled. Very challenging for us and other families with kids that are waiting for so long...even without kids, the amount of wait with little to no interaction is terrible. Phones consistently ringing off the hook with nobody answering. When we came back to pick up glasses- ANOTHER 2 hours for getting helped. Too much.
I would strongly suggest there is some training on customer service real soon. I am glad my situation was not an emergency because Ive waited over 2 weeks for a call back. I go in the center again to confirm (after calling the previous day to verify) only to be told they have not made the referral appointment and there was no paperwork stating I needed a referral. The need was placed in my digital file in their system and there was no follow-up. I would love to speak with a member of management or a corporate manager to further discuss my experience in the Hendersonville, TN location.
I had a pleasant experience using this optometrist. I really like the lady that did the first portion of my exam. She was really friendly and make me feel comfortable. The gentleman that did my glasses fitting was very knowledgeable and friendly. I didnt feel rushed or pressured into making my purchase.
My experience was great. Everyone was fun personalble but also professional and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. Great team!
I usually hate the process of getting new glasses but going to Visionworks in Hendersonville made it super easy. Scheduling a timely appt with an Optometrist via their website was a piece of cake. I arrived early as requested, filled out my paperwork, and had a chance to look at frames while I waited. Was called pretty quickly and seeing the doctor was a breeze. I only had to wait a few minutes, which allowed more frame shopping before I was called upon for the hard part IMO - choosing frames and lenses in my budget. Michael P made the process so smooth and easy!! I picked the frames and he quickly pulled up my insurance info and talked me through the types and cost would be after insurance. I think we had the whole process done in 10 minutes. Michael P was able to find the lenses, setup the order, gave me the cost, I paid and was told they’d be ready in an hour very quickly. Even though it was quick, I never felt pressure or hurried.I got a text AND an email about 30 minutes later letting me know they were ready. Michael P greeted me, grabbed my new glasses, and we put them on. He was very particular in getting the frames to fit on my face and behind my ears perfectly. I was in and out in 10 minutes. It was an absolutely stress-free transaction as the Customer Service from the Front Desk, the Optometrist, to Michael P was excellent. If you are needing an eye exam and new glasses, I highly recommend this place and Michael P.
Absolutely terrible customer service! 276.00$, four trips to the store and a month later I am STILL with out contacts.
I have loved every visit to this store! My fit was amazingly easy, I told Jamie what I would like she pulled out frames from all over and they were exactly what I like. Then the sunglasses, same thing, I think I was in and out within 30 minutes. Bought 2 pairs and they were done and in under a week. I have a spinal injury and can’t walk, it was a God send and I’ll be back you can bet!
