This is my coop. Im an owner. In a few more years, Ill reach lifetime status and wont have to pay in any more. It just takes ten payments. Imagine that? I get most of my groceries here WITH NO PACKAGING! That means I have almost no trash. If youve been following me, youd understand why that is so important. Meanwhile, I suppose youd like to know how great a grocery store this is. Well, I already said Im an owner. I dont buy junk. This place is awesome.

The absolute best place for fresh organic greens, veggies, mushrooms, potatoes, legumes, grains, and awesome unique items and a yummy deli with great vegan options

Why go to the big chain natural grocery stores when you can shop local at this terrific store! They carry high quality, reputable goods as well as local items. Very friendly, informative staff. Good selection of fresh organic, natural and local produce. Lots of eco-friendly, natural and vegan products. Great meat counter, everything I’d had was fresh and delicious. I recently had Aussie sirloin that was sooo tasty. I haven’t tried the goods at the bakery or cafe yet but I’m looking forward to it. The best part is that when I bought my membership I save so much on vitamins that it more than paid for it, on the first shopping trip!!! The savings, quality of goods and service far outweigh the cheaper prices at big chain grocery stores.

5 stars for sure! Came here today for the first time. We had breakfast and it was delicious! Lots to choose from. It’s a little pricy, but your paying for quality. Very friendly staff. Very clean. Nice place to relax and eat a healthy meal. I highly recommend this place. We will be back.

This place is amazing the staff theyre super helpful. They have a pretty good variety which oftentimes I noticed coops being limited on variety this one seems to be okay.

I wish we had a better experience but frankly it was horrible. We had spoken with them on several occasions about a special order wedding cake, and each time they ask for 72-48 hours notice for the size we needed. We showed up to place our order a few days before that time frame and the staff informs us that she can’t do special orders right now, leaving us scrambling to find a gluten free cake 3 days before the wedding without as much as an apology, just a “not my problem” attitude. Very disappointed in the service.

We just moved to North Carolina recently, and I was really happy to find this co-op. Not only is the selection amazing, the deli food is incredible and honestly I had the best customer service experience that Ive had in an long time. Every p we employee that I interacted with was super eager to help and explain in detail where we could find things. Well be shopping here regularly for sure!

Friendly, helpful workers. Delicious, nutritious deli food. I love the eclectic collection of merchandise, although the fresh produce section could stand growing. I prefer this one to the one in Asheville. Much better parking situation.

Under-staffed but have good products. And like any health food store, they are priced high. Its sometimes better to order online

I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a familiar face from the French Broad Food Coop now working at the Hendersonville Coop.

I travel a little less than an hour to shop here. Great selection of organics and their deli and prepared foods are delicious.

This is a very clean store. They have a very large selection of organic produce. This is the first time Ive been here. I will definitely be going back.

Excellent selection of produce. As soon as I walk in the door my senses are overcome with the Delightful smells of this place. Nice selection of organic products and some Ready-to-Eat meals made on the premises, I presume. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

We need to support small business. Healthy clean food is not a luxury,however the elite globalist think so. Start a garden and help a neighbor to start one. Organic/healthy type of store. Also a deli with tables inside and out. Super helpful and friendly staff. It’s rather dark and gloomy inside. Maybe there were some electrical problems and some lights were out.Parking can be tight at peak times.

They have great in-house breads, including gluten free options, the in-house soups are nourishing and well made with high quality ingredients. This store also carries smaller companies such as mandala chocolate and samis brand. The people are generally friendly.

What an outstanding grocery store. Their selection of sustainably raised products, organics, and fresh produce are fabulous. Plus, its locally owned. Great place to stock up on Hickory Nut Gap meats too.

Decent prices on most items and a great selection of healthy food, personal care products, and bakery/prepared food. Their produce always looks fresh and colorful.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit steep for some stuff, but they have good sales and if you are a member you get discounts. The fresh food and deli is great, as are the bakery and meat/seafood counters. Actually, all the sections have good selections of items and there are amazing local items too. For natural and organic, as well as special dietary, needs, this is a great local option. Im glad I have this option. Shop here for the quality, selection and to buy local!

I get it. Its local, community oriented, supported by the Hendo residents. I went cuz I had a coupon on a Sunday. Id never been there. It was crowded although masks and social distancing are definitely enforced. I went to the fish/ meat counter and was just not impressed. Everything is so expensive and the fish just didnt look fresh. The store is really expensive. I cant afford to shop there. I left w no purchase.

If we lived in Hendersonville NC, this would be be our regular grocery store! We picked up a few homemade baked good sweets and bread, and fresh produce for our stay and everything was delicious!!! The cantaloupe was the best weve had.

One of my awesome employs Derek was doing a moving job in Hendersonville yesterday I was able to stop and get a quick bite to eat and support the community we are so grateful the food is always so fresh thank you thank you for being awesome we will definitely tell all our friends and family and Cher on Twitter

Im an owner here, and I visit fairly often. They have a decent selection of bulk products, and they carry many favorite brands for those who seek a more wholesome diet. A few years ago I was really impressed with what they were doing, bit lately the prices have gone up while customer service quality has decreased.There seems to be an influx of hippie type workers, covered in tattoos, piercings, and dreadlocks. The environment doesnt feel clean, and I worry about the people touching my products. We wash/wipe everything when we bring it home. It really shouldnt be this way at this kind of store.Hopefully management will open their eyes to this and make needed changes. I will always be willing to pay higher prices for higher quality customer care.

Neat store with high selection for Organic meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables, spices, milk, beer, frozen food, hot bar, and nutritional supplements.

Small and sustainable co-op with helpful and friendly staff.Wonderful and smaller grocery venue that has grown in scale over the years. While some stores will offer a wider variety of foods and local produce, the Co-op also prides itself with being the local self sustaining business with the community’s best interests.For example, if you have an event or organization you would like to publicize, they have a board and vetting process to advertise your activity. Their seating / eating area is also a nice addition if you are looking for a place to work or network over a cup of coffee or a spot of lunch.Personally I can’t speak on all of the prepared foods, but the small amount that I have tried was very tasty and reasonably priced (pestos).They do have monthly fliers with sales and seasonal items to consider so be sure to check out all the Co-op has to offer online and in person at the beginning of each month.

Great selection of high quality local foods. I appreciate the effort for local, organic, pesticide free, pasture raised, etc certifications offered here.

Everything about this place deserves 5 stars- the staff, the organization and cleanliness, the selection, and somehow even the prices are slightly lower than what you could find in similar stores serving organic and natural products. My favorite thing by far is the prepared food section though- yummy soups, salads, entrees, baked goods... I could go on. Grateful for this place!

Last weekend, my wife and I ate lunch here. The food was outstanding! Some of the best soup that I have ever had. -Seriously.This weekend, we came back and did some grocery shopping. While we were here, we bought some coffee that we ground up in the store. After our visit, we came home and brewed some Decaf Maya. It was fantastic!We are just now discovering what the Co-Op has to offer and are definitely going to be coming back.Super-friendly staff.

Absourluty love this place. I went in for help with vitamins and the gentlemen in the department was sooo helpful. So was a little disappointed when I returned the next day to buy more vitamins the lady that was their was not as helpful. I felt as if I was bothering her in asking questions 😔

I love this place! The have the best organic produce...at reasonable prices. You must try the cafe. Everything is good. I also love the earth friendly vibe. I kind of want to live in that store...is that weird?

These people have the best meat and seafood! The sides are also excellent and good organic produce.

THE health food place to go locally... lots of vitamins, personal care items, plus decent size produce fresh foods and a large enough freezer/refrigerator area for groceries. Juice bar and hot food counter, plus salad bar with hot foods and a decent sized baked goods area. Food offered in cafe is not all vegan or even vegetarian, but probably half and half (meat vs plant based), vegan offerings are pretty tasty and they do have full juice bar. I will say that their baked goods are really good, but for some reason they are always out of my favorite bear claws and havent figured out how to make bigger batches at a time to last! The only other improvement, could be with their coop membership, as the rewards are a bit skimpy to me... 10% discount seems like the minimum discount this sort of membership should offer, not just 5% once per month. If they would improve this, I would be very happy to pay the annual fee (which is only $25), but still, it would be a more enticing program if they upped the rewards just a bit. The staff is great there, and I am thrilled to have this store in our community overall.

The Co-op has high quality products provided with excellent customer service. I go there for bulk herbs and spices, cosmetics and wellness products. Im SO GLAD they are close to home!! Its one of Henderson Countys jewels! I love it, and am pleased to be a member.

Quickest, healthy and tasty hot or cold lunch in town. Get your spices here in bulk so they are super fresh and you can get just as much as you need. They have yogurt and kefir starter.Good quality produce. Nice selection of the health food store varieties and more. Plenty of parking. Never crowded. Nice staff.

We love our local Co-op store! A must-shop store for everything healthy you need for your non-GMO, organic, all-natural diet. It is always well stocked, the employees are helpful and they keep it clean.

My go to place for bulk herbs and organic produce and meat. They have a great selection of organic garden plants and seeds. The staff is very knowledgable about products. If you join you get discounts also. They have 3 choices of water from their machines.. bring your own containers... or buy one there.

Love this place. The community co-op is owned by customers, but anybody can shop there. There are benefits for owners, though.It is much more than a store filled with nutritious food. Its a place to meet people who care, mostly about the environment.The staff is knowledgeable about the products and super friendly.The cafe is a nice place to hang out, have a healthy bite for breakfast/lunch or a cup of good coffee while doing work on the laptop. If one feels like talking, theres a good chance to find a companion.Its a very different shopping experience for sure.

Nice store with a good selection of items. The concept is good so I wouldnt have a problem with supporting the store if I lived close but our first visit wasnt without its problems. We did purchase some fresh noodles with vegetables only to find that it was very unfresh when we got home. The best by was still valid so this concerns me a bit.

My favorite store to shop at! Whoever commented grossly expensive clearly has ZERO clue about health foods because I have compared prices here to many other stores and they always beat everyone. Plus the sales are awesome. Produce is all organic and/or locally grown which is amazing. The seafood/meat counter is fresh and unique which is fun! Just wish they stayed open later. The only downfall for me is the deli/prepared foods can be inconsistent. The staff in that department is a mixed bag. Sometimes theyll see you standing there and it takes forever to get any service. Others are very friendly and helpful. (Really wish they would put the apples back into the curry chicken salad!) Love that they offer so many gluten free options and lightly sweetened baked goods!! *yum!* Pretty much my favorite part about living in Hendo is having this store to shop at. :) Really so grateful for this store and the staff that work so hard here.

Nice selection but most prices are outrageous. Im not sure how they stay in business with most option available far cheaper at other local stores. I only shop here for the 1 item I cant get elsewhere.

We’re back in WNC visiting from the Black Hills of S Dakota. Stopped in last week and enjoyed a lovely meal and came across the best muffins we’ve ever had. They were gluten-free, vegan and cane sugar free. The muffins were awesome as was the service. Looking forward to our next visit!

Easy place to become a regular! Medium sized store with all the healthy options you need. Great meat counter, fantastic produce, friendly employees. They have fresh baked goods, juice and smoothie bar plus a fantastic hot bar/salad bar. Delicious and creative with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Great cafe with WiFi for hanging out with coffee or eating a meal. Cant say enough about this great local store. A little hard on the wallet, but we value high quality products, so its worth it.
