Tires are high here, morale is low,but head guy in there is pretty honest. The place is pretty safe too.

My husband had these guys put new tires on his truck a few months back. After getting the truck back, we notice one of the hub caps has a chunk missing. He called to inquire if there had been any issues that they maybe forgot to mention. After some conversation and outright asking about the hubcaps, we were informed they had damaged the hubcap at some point and forgot to mention it. That’s cool I guess. They promised to make it right and ordered a new one for him. About a month later they called and said he could come have it replaced. Awesome. Now, fast forward to yesterday. It has merely been a few weeks since they replaced the piece and it flew off his truck during his 2 mile (35mph) drive to work last night. Same hub that was just replaced. I called to discuss this today and Kelly couldn’t care less. Said he couldn’t replace it. I asked if we could just purchase another one from him and he says someone will have to call me and let me know. I’m honestly not surprised that nobody ever called me back.This was our first experience with this company in Hickory and will be our last.We were excited that they seemed to have been easy to work with and offered him a decent deal originally. Now, we have wasted so much time and energy and feel that their tech’s are dishonest. If they will damage our truck and not own up without being questioned, did they really even do half of what we paid them for? Who knows but when it comes time for tires and service on our other vehicle I know where we won’t be going. Peace of mind and a trustworthy shop are worth whatever we thought we were saving. If we hadn’t shopped around, I wouldn’t be having to buy a new set of hubcaps so I suppose we didn’t save anything at all. I gave 2 stars for the savings but now I’m rethinking that as well.

I drove 70+ mile just for this location! All the guys are extremely kind! Everyone was wearing masks! Scott and Calvin were two that really stood out! Scott got my vehicle done super quick and the tech left my car spotless! I would recommend this store to anyone and everyone! They truly are amazing! I felt safe and comfortable during my whole visit! I’ve been to plenty of places that have made me feel weird or try to get me to spend more money! I didn’t have to worry about any of that! Thank you again Scott and everyone who works there!

Use to have all my vehicles serviced here after, three for the last 5 years, today no longer. Made an appointment online, as I always do, arrive 15 minutes before my appointment to get checked in because this always takes 10+ minutes at this location. When I arrive they state they can’t honor the appointment because they accepted other work and could not guarantee work done by 5PM - it’s a simple oil change and I had an appointment. He stated he could get it done later in the week but I don’t see the point of making another appointment if they can’t honor the previous - appointment for the same service.

Scott and the entire team went above and beyond to help me out while stranded in Hickory with a broken rim. Being from out of town I was concerned about finding a good place to take my vehicle but I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received from the NTB team! Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for honest and fairly priced vehicle service.

My vehicle got a sudden flat tire when I was at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Drove over to NTB (never been there before) and they worked us into their schedule. Fixed/patched the tire and treated me and my husband like we were their very best customers.I highly recommend NTB of Hickory!

Spent 600 bucks on 4 new tires and alignment. everything was great till i got home and noticed that they took the purple metal valve stem caps and gave me grey plastic ones. I understand new valve stems are sometimes used but who throws away heavy metal shiny valve stem caps? Called and asked oh we change stems they must have gotten tossed B.S. they look good on your car right. 600 bucks and you steal 12 dollar caps?

First and last time ever. Went in for wheel alignment: wheel was not dead center to alignment performed, rack pinion boot was torn during the alignment process and CV axle boot punctured. Go at your own risk. Unfortunately the individual that worked on my car did not know what he was doing. Learned my lesson the hard way. Always check before they start and after they finish!

I really like this place. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They dont talk down to you. Always willing to work you in or give you an appointment. Decent prices and good sales. Ill go back here and have them service my vehicles again.

I go there when I need oil change or tires. They are very professional and work with me to get the job completed. The workers in the bays are always helpful and friendly. Kelvin, Shane and Lisa Marie will take good care of you. Done business with them for years. Be sure to get the extended alignment program and they will keep close check on your tires for maximum mileage.

This place is great! We ran over a piece of metal and our trucks tire started losing air fast. We drove straight to NTB and they fixed it right away. Very pleasant employees, very professional and excellent customer service! Thank you NTB!

Only reason Im not giving 5 stars because Shane I guess the manager or something gave me a better price Yesterday as to the reason I decided to come but today the mechanic said a much higher price so I decided not to get all my work done & will try to do it myself. No worries Im used 2 that in car places

I needed 4 new tires for my truck so I decided to give NTB a try. Im really pleased with the tires but not so much with the service, an hour and a half to mount 4 tires! I looked in the service bay several times only to see 2 or 3 guys standing around my truck talking and goofing off. I could of hand mounted 4 tires in that length of time. If you have plenty of time to sit in a waiting room then you should be happy with NTB otherwise I would suggest taking your business elsewhere!

Amazing Service!! Scott-the manager was Awesome!! I was having a tire pressure light problem. Scott checked out my vehicle. He ran a few diagnostic tests and he solved my problem and I was good to go- And there was no Charge! I will recommend Scott and NTB to everyone I know!

Highly do not recommend. Needed a flat tire plugged to get my wifes car home. Went in about 20 mins before closing, and employee told me dont have time to fix it they are closing in 20 minutes and couldnt help me. Told me I could leave tire and come back next day. That did me NO GOOD. Poor customer service. Not Willing to help. So drove down the road to Firestone Tire and they helped me. 5stars should go to Firestone.

They made an appointment for an oil change, then expected me to drop the car off for a few hours. Whats the purpose of an appointment 🤦

Ive been here twice to get an oil change and each time I am always on time maybe ten minutes early because I like to keep my word. The first time was ok. I waited for about ten minutes before anyone came to the front desk and when they did I just left my car and my mom picked me up until my car was ready. That was fine and dandy. Today I went in for an oil change. I was about ten minutes early because I know theyre always busy. The gentleman came out to greet me and told be it would be about a 45 minute wait. I wish they wouldve called me beforehand and made me waste gas to come up there. It should be a requirement for them to call people and tell them that they are running behind and will have to move their appointment time. So I ended up having to move my appointment to Saturday two hours before I go into work. If my car is not done within that time and Im late for work I am going to be very upset. I think I should be given half off or free or SOMETHING for this kind of service. This is definitely probably going to be my last time going here.

I had a appointment for 3:30 I got here and was inside at exactly 3:30 on the dot waited 3 minutes for someone to come in and help me the man tells me I will have to wait as he points at the time which is 3:34 and tells me you wasn’t here at 3:30 so I already started someone else as I tell him I was here at exactly 3:30!!! Then I ask him after I asked him on the phone if they can look at my roof and he says yes on the phone then I get there and you can tell he is rushing to get back outside to help and tells me we don’t do that here like wth it’s ok that you can’t but he’s telling me with a attitude and also don’t tell me yes on the phone and no when I get here they use to give great service but this time I am not happy!!!

I had a leak in my tire, and was lucky to find this location open on a Sunday! The team was kind and courteous. They went above and beyond to accommodate the 4 year old I had with me. They found my problem and fixed it quickly!!! Very thankful, and impressed with the accommodations while we waited! Very impressed!

I typically use the local NTB where I live in Rock Hill SC. I was up in Hickory the day after Christmas looking to buy a used Jeep and called over to ask if they could check it out for me before purchase. The manager Shane was extremely helpful. Even though they were busy he managed to get me worked in then spent several minutes outside going over stuff on the Jeep that might be a concern. Was very grateful and impressed.

Got two, new, expensive tires, but when we started driving it, the car started shimmying. Initially, we were told we didnt need to replace the other two tires, but when we returned it to have the shimmy fixed, we were told that we indeed needed to replace the other two tires. Also had it aligned, but continues to pull to one side.The employees were nice.

Came in an hour before close with my front brakes grinding. I did not want my family to drive back to Durham in an unsafe vehicle. My funds were limited. I needed rotors in addition to pads. Paul made a call to a supplier, got the parts I needed brought to his store immediately and found a way to save me some money to where I could afford to put my van safely back on the road in 30 minutes! CUSTOMER SERVICE personified! Very courteous, professional, fast and honest! He has earned my repeat business. Thanks Paul!

Great for tires. Terrible for engine work. Charged $1000 for a timing chain and nessed it up. When i complained about the new noise they said it was fine. When it broke they told me they dont work on motors.

They said my gfs car needed 6 quarts. They added 5 quarts and charged for 6 quarts. I hate liars.

Not a great first experience...all I wanted, after being rudely greeted by one of the techs, was to get a tire patched. I didnt think that was too much to ask of a tire store. The all-so-pleasant tech informed me that she didnt have time to do that. I figured it wouldve been tough to squeeze that in in the little over 3 hours they had left til closing time considering 2 of their8-10 bays had cars in them. So, maybe my expectations were a little high? Either way, I wont be inconveniencing them with my business in the future.

I have been a NTB customer for years. They are a good company to do business with. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and have competitive prices. I cant ask for more.

Today I had a great experience at NTB all because of Kelvin! You see, I needed new tires TODAY! My front end was out of alignment and vibrating badly. My husband called SAMs Club and while they had a better price on tires, they could not put them on today. They told him it would be early next week. Convenience is everything!!We walked into NTB in Hickory and were greeted with a warm smile and caring spirit from Kelvin. I knew I liked this gentleman immediately. He truly seemed concerned that we received exactly what we were looking for. He even gave us options for things we didnt know we needed by offering us, not only tires, but alignment and an outstanding warranty protection for tire rotation, balancing and even replacement if I should get a nail in one of my tires. And the installation time was less than what he estimated. But, we were still able to walk next door and grab a delicious burger and fry from 5 Guys next door while we waited. There is also a Habitat ReStore nearby within walking distance. Since its the Christmas season, money is very tight this time of year. Kelvin even offered us 6 months same as cash financing to help us out.Kelvin is an outstanding Service Manager and should most definitely be recognized for his customer service skills. We will definitely go back to NTB (formerly Tire Kingdom) in Hickory. Thank you Kelvin for making my day...Youre an blessing!!

Went in expecting to be rejected. Was accepted for the Flex Tire program and walked out of there within the hour with new tires! Grateful for their service and hospitality.

Usually, I am very happy. Unfortunately, the last 2 visits have taken FOREVER. Two hours is just too long for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment check when they had been doing it in about 45-50 minutes previously. Hoping they get it back together.

Dont know why people are dogging this place. I went there for the first time today. Walked in with my two kids in tow and got an oil change. They were very nice, quick and there were no gimmicks.I paid $24 and received a $10 mail-in-rebate form. It doesnt get cheaper or easier than that. I was in and out in about 40 minutes.

We went in to get some tire prices and waited 25 mintues and never got a certain price. Bad Service.

I encountered an oil leaking warning on the way of a road trip. The mechanic there gave me a quick check and assured me nothing serious happened; whats even better, free lube oil to make sure no I can finish the rest 3 hour driving. I really appreciate their kind service!

Something has changed and it is more than the management. I have been taking my car to this NTB for years. The past two oil changes have resulted in two incidents of inconvenience for me. On the first occasion, I found oil on my driveway the morning following an oil change. I returned and they told me they forgot to tighten something. Not a comforting oversight. An oil leak happened again on my most recent oil change, except this time I took it to another location for the follow-up check because I was out of town. At that NTB, they told me I needed an almost $200 repair, which is what was causing oil to leak. This was peculiar to me, because my car had zero leaks the day before the oil change. I expressed this to the service man and he acted like it happens. Yeah. Right! I ended up taking it to a dealership later that same day, where they did a full inspection to see what repairs were needed. Come to find out, the oil wasnt leaking at all, like the puddle on my driveway suggested. When changing the oil, NTB employees left oil sitting on a portion of my engine where it remains and drips off! The .gentleman at the dealership told me this should not happen and its a result of laziness. The second incident caused me to spend nearly an entire day addressing an oil leak that wasnt an oil leak at all and could have easily been avoided if proper care was taken to rinse it off. Additionally, a couple of the employees were overly inquisitive about me. I think friendliness is great in customer service, but personal questions are highly inappropriate.Ill be sticking to dealerships from now on. Paying at little extra is worth it when it doesnt cause me to spend MORE time addressing what never should have been an issue in the first place.

Horrible customer service and techs that have no clue what they are doing resulting in damages to my car and 3 sets of tires in 8 months. I cant say go at your own risk.. just dont go at all

DO NOT GO HERE! They do not have properly trained techs doing work on your vehicle. I came in for an alignment and left with a crooked steering wheel and what they told me was a broken camber adjuster. I made them give me a refund. I took it to another service station to fix there work and they told me the camber adjuster was not broken, it was just that NTB adjusted it so much that it came apart and they didnt know how to put it back together. Needless to say, I was driving around on a suspension that was not fully connected. LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS! Do not make the same mistake.

If I could rate this less than one star, believe me I would. I took my car in today to see the pricing of getting four new tires, they had taken my car back before I had even decided upon my tire choice. I decided that they were a bit pricey and I could find tires cheaper elsewhere, as they wanted $600 for four tires for my 1999 VW Beetle. This price does not include an alignment or anything else, I politely explained I intended on looking around at other places for a better deal for myself.They bring my car back out and I noticed some plastic pieces scattered among my backseat floorboard and the floorboard of my passenger seat, in the not even five minutes of having it back there one of the workers had managed to break the handle off my sunroof shade and leave it scattered about my car. I called the manager over and he assured me they had not messed with the sunroof but even if it had fallen off on its own it would not have ended up in the backseat so I know one of them had to throw it back there and refused to disclose it to me. Had I been notified and they owned up to it I would have not been as furious but having them lie to my face and try to even put the blame on me that I may have done was horrible. The worker I spoke to was an ignorant jerk. The manager was no help at all and honestly was very slow was not interested in pleasing the customer what so ever. This establishment is run by the most incompetent dishonest group of individuals I have ever encountered. Please think twice before bringing your vehicle here if you value it in any way.

I cant recommend this location of NTB highly enough. I have been there twice in the past two months: once for a nail in my tire, and once for a dead battery on another car. Both times, Lisa Marie was in the office. Her customer service skills are amazing. She handles stressed out car owners with such class and professionalism. When our battery died in the ALDI parking lot (convenient!), the manager came over and tested our battery, then we got a new battery and were driving home so quickly I could hardly believe it. Our groceries were still fresh. I also didnt realize that NTB does more than tires -- they do most things a garage does. Ill definitely be taking my business there in the future.

What a joke of a tire store in Hickory,NC. Took 2 trailer tires to have mounted and the manager says we dont mess with those. I told him that I had just had 2 done here 2 months ago. He explained that it was to time consuming that Jeff may have done it but he would not. Well you wont be doing anything else for me either.

The gentleman that worked with me was very courteous but I was blown away by their pricing. I have never bought tires and had to pay, not only for the balance, but to have the tires put on. I was not informed up front that it was not included in the cost of the tires. I asked them to check the tie rods, which they did, and they needed to be replaced. The total cost of that was to be $370.34 (including alignment) on top of the $238.79 for TWO new tires. I am sure that they are a reputable business if you have that kind of money to spend. I have contacted White Tire and they will be installing the new tie rods and doing the alignment for $150.00. That is a big difference!!!I need to include one more bit of information. Today, following my first post, I took my car to White Tire on Hwy 70. It was a totally different and much better experience. After removing the right tire that Tire Kingdom has just put on yesterday and checked the tie rods, I was invited to witness what they had found. Both rear valve stems had not been replaced and were missing caps. The right front tie rod jam nut had been loosened 9-12 threads and left. This is only significant in that, should the rod jam have slipped or been knocked from its place, I could have been in a very bad accident. If I had been traveling at a high rate of speed I could have been killed when the tire buckled. This is not good people! Thank you White Tire!

Worst NTB around. Went there twice trying to get a tire rotation that came with the tires I bought and they said they were too busy. Came with 2 hours til close the first time so that’s understandable, but the second time at 3:30 and they closed at 7 and still couldn’t do it. Any other NTB great, this location sucks!

After Shane went Asheville they are worse than before when they change tire they put wrong so I could’t use the car more than month and they could’t find what is the problem. Finally went to another shop they told me what was the problem.And my another car has grinding sound after change tires for bland new. I dropped my car they couldn’t find the reason and said to me go another shop check.My son’s car blew horn it self I went NTB this morning the new manager said they don’t touch that type of problem go to anther shop check it. There is no reason I take care of my all of cars at NTB any more because the new manager say all the time go another shop check it and then if I find what is the problem they can fix it . I am not recommended any more NTB Hickory!

Booked an appointment over the phone to repair my truck tire but after I arrived for the appointment, they informed me that they cannot lift a Ram 3500. They were nice enough to recommend a more qualified tire center down the street.

We pulled in to this store (now an NTB) at 5:51 pm on Mothers Day with a nail in one of the tires, and I, with daughter in tow, begged them to patch it since we were trying to get home to Raleigh that night. The manager wasnt going to hold the tech there, since he was on borrow from the Statesville store, but the tech agreed to look. After seeing the nail, he agreed to pull it in and patch it up for us so we could get back in the road. I cannot express fully how very grateful I was that he helped us, and I really wish I had more than the $20 cash to tip him. (The manager had already closed out the drawer and didnt want to run another transaction.) Thanks again, young man. Youve got a heart of gold.

My truck didnt make it 3 miles before all the oil leaked out. When I called to get help while stranded on the side of the road, they put me on hold to greet a customer walking in the door.

I had a tractor tire that the bead had been broken by a tree root. It couldnt get it to take air. They got it aired up for me on Sunday and didnt charge me. Great guys.

Ive had lot of bad experience with this place. Last of which was they cant even honor their 3-yr alignment package, because there was no one who could run the alignment machine.Whoever answered the phone just told me they couldnt do it, and call back in a week.to try to make an appointment. Didnt apologize, didnt refer me anywhere, or say anything helpful other than try again later.Found out from a different store it was because their technicians had walked out and quit due their own personal one-star ratings....figures.

Been here over 2 hours for one leaking tire. Last time I was here it was super slow too. Very frustrating place. Nice people, but awful place.

Took hours to just change my oil. When they finally finished, they had taken the liberty to root through my things and steal a six pack of beer out of my trunk. Listen to the reviews about this place, theyre crooks.

Decent service. Having tires put on with value package at the moment. Have had 2 oil changes here previously. Huntersville location on Catawba is much better service wise. Same thing otherwise. Usually the never functioning free wifi they advertise isnt a big deal, but today having to be here for 2 hours without hopping on Netflix kind of sucks. They also seemed like hmphhh because I was 7 minutes late for my appt to go out of my way to come to an NTB mid work day no where near my home and spend 550 dollars. Id say its becoming more of a USA work ethic and customer service thing than an NTB thing though :) oh also I am writing this specifically because when I asked if there was any way for them to reset the wifi router the guy looked at me like Id murdered his cat and said I dont know... Customer service at its best. Literally any other response would have been better.
