After calling Volkswagen customer care, with giving them the same information as the Hicksville representative, they say this policy is extremely incorrect and this location is going to be investigated by Volkswagen customer service for lying and to ensure this does not happen to anyone else.Unfortunately I do have to give in a star in order to post a review, otherwise it would be zero stars. I wanted to bring my car into this location for service in hopes to get my car working properly. After speaking with a representative named Steve, I was lied to and was told that there was a policy that cars older than 10 years, even with multiple recalls, could not be brought in to fix. Luckily after calling Volkswagen customer care and the Lynbrook location, I found out that this policy was a lie and would urge people not to trust this location.

I followed up a few times, she had an excuse every time. It’s the 4th day and still haven’t gotten a response back. Not a great way to do business especially after taking all my personal info.

I absolutely love VW and have been driving them since 2009. This week, I just picked up my FIFTH Jetta from Platinum Volkswagen and am overjoyed by the whole experience. I filled out a very short and easy application online, told Joe Riccobene, who I’ve been dealing with for almost a decade, what color I wanted on the exterior and the interior, and he had it delivered to Platinum and then sent me a video of my beautiful new 2020 Jetta SEL. I set a time to pick it up, and I was in and out of the dealership in about 15 minutes. The reason I keep going back is because the owner Josh, and Joe make it so simple and enjoyable throughout the whole process. You can tell that they truly care about the relationship they build with their clients. The service department is also top notch and in April I needed my oil changed. They came and picked up my car and serviced it and brought it back. Both the dealership and the service department are always pristinely clean, but it’s so nice to feel truly safe and comfortable and they go above and beyond to make sure that do the very best they can to please their clients. I say clients because you aren’t just a number to them but rather a member of the Platinum family and there is nothing like that nowadays. I will continue to go back again and again, and if you’re looking for a car, trust me, Platinum VW is where you should go.

Just go somewhere else. They don’t know what customer service is. I purchased a 2021 Atlas on April 3, 2021. As soon as I got home, I noticed two deep scratches on the glove box/passenger’s side dashboard. Additionally, The molding on the driver’s side was peeling off. I immediately emailed the sales rep with the pictures. He stated that he would notify his manager. I contacted the sales rep every week. He told me “sorry for the inconvenience, someone will reach out to you.” No one ever did. Finally, today I reached out to the sales rep via text. He responded as if he had no idea what I was talking about. He then went on to accuse me of causing the damage and stated “pay for the damage that you caused.” I was also told that I was acting like a child. I never mentioned anything about who should pay for it and I never blamed anyone for the damage. I missed it when I picked the car up. I acknowledge that but I definitely did not cause the damage. A company committed to customer service would say, “no problem sir, bring it in and we will take care of it.” I am disgusted by the treatment I received. Based on the other reviews I see here, it is obvious that they do not take responsibility for anything and bully their customers. I can’t wait to see the negative response that the owner writes and the allegations they make against me. This seems to be a pattern by this dealership. I’d be more than happy to post the entire text exchange which would be quite embarrassing for a company that is allegedly committed to customer service. The way I was treated is not the way you treat a customer. I would have gladly bought another car from this dealership had I been treated with respect and dignity. The text messages I received repeatedly accused me of “blaming” the dealership when I did no such thing. It’s such a minor issue that could have been easily corrected and I would have been satisfied. Platinum VW does not have a monopoly on VW sales on Long Island. Do yourself a favor and drive to the next VW dealership.** The response below from the dealership is just as I expected. They have a pattern of this behavior. I notified the sales rep on the date of delivery. He responded by writing via email, “I will forward this message to my manger and we will go from there. I apologize for the inconvenience.” The sales rep probably didn’t notify anyone and hoped that I would go away. All of this is documented via text and e-mail. I will share the insulting text messages I received from your sales rep. This is not how a moral establishment does business. This is not how you get customers to come back and buy additional cars and utilize your service department. I have been in weekly contact with the sales rep since the purchase. He stated that someone would reach out to me. No one ever did. Then today he goes on a rant insulting me and telling me to find a new dealership- ok, will do.** I notified the sales rep on 4/3, the date of purchase. I never blamed or accused anyone. I believed it was an honest oversight. The dealership is now fabricating lies and engaging in the defamation of my character. I have had a cordial relationship with the sales rep until he began to insult me. Posting lies is not professional.** Just as predicted- when this dealership receives a negative review, they bully you and make up lies to justify their poor customer service. Look at all of the negative reviews- all met with the same vitriol from the owner. From the owner!!! I don’t care if they fixed it or not but they should have told me that on day 1. Instead, they strung me along pretending someone would contact me while hoping I go away. If you don’t go away they shout you down, make up lies and insult you. I never accused anyone as alleged by the owner. He further lied by writing that when I didn’t get my way, I attempted to abuse a sales rep. What does that even mean and when did that happen? That is considered libel. All of my contact has been via text and email. Owner is extremely unprofessional.

Had an unfortunate run-in with a pothole early this morning on my 2020 Arteon (which I love) and brought the wheel into Platinums service department shortly after. Really painless purchasing experience buying a used Tiguan. I love the car. We really should’ve done our homework when financing the car, Volkswagen charges a ridiculous interest rate that compounded monthly. So either A: pay off your car as quickly as you can, or B: refinance it through a third party if your interest rates are nearly 6%. Otherwise we got a top quality used car (hard to find, some are in accidents, smoked in, need mechanical work, etc.) that we’ve loved.

I never write reviews but Paul, Manny and everyone at Platinum Volkswagen went above and beyond for me. By far the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Highly recommend.

My experience with Platinum Volkswagen was nothing but terrible. When it was time for me to turn in my lease no one told me I needed an inspection In order to turn in. Luckily I called a month before my turn in date and found out. Unlucky for me the soonest they had available for inspection was 7 days after my lease turn in date. No one was able to help me or accommodate this situation. I was on the phone a few times with Jennifer and she was extremely rude and uninformative. I felt trapped in my lease and it was as if no one was nice to me because I wasn’t releasing with VW. My inspection date finally came and I called platinum to schedule a turn in. Jennifer told me to come between a certain time frame. That was it. No one told me you had to turn in to a different location or had to bring certain paperwork with you. Had to find that out the day of when I already showed up to the wrong place and without the paperwork. But Jennifer insisted on arguing with me that she did. The lack of customer service was appalling and for that I will never lease with platinum Volkswagen again.

Went in for an inspection and seatbelt light issue. The manager Steve was very helpful and even during COVID felt very comfortable leaving my car there for the day. It was an absolute pleasure working with Joe R. from Platinum VW. I was in the market for a new lease of a VW Atlas. I was at the end of my Infiniti QX60 lease and was shopping numbers at various VW dealerships.My first stop was to their website, which was extremely intuitive. I spoke with a customer coordinator via a chat system, explained what I was looking for and asked for next steps. The representative assured me that she would put me in contact with someone from the dealership. 20 mins later I received a call from Joe. He is such a nice man, not pushy, just listened to my needs and asked what did I need from the vehicle. At this point I was really only interested in captain chairs. Joe said he would get back to me with numbers.At this point I was getting the run around a from numerous dealerships that would only provide numbers if “I came in to speak with a salesman”. With how things are post-COVID, I did not think it was a huge deal to get simple numbers via either phone or email.Joe came back to me within an hour with solid competitive numbers and advised me that they were waiting for a shipment of cars, so it could be a couple of days. I asked joe to send me the deal in writing in the interim, to discuss it with my wife. After discussing the terms and looking at other dealer supplied numbers I knew Joe and Platinum earned our business.To my surprise, Joe reached out to me the following morning to tell me not only did the vehicle I was interested in came in a week earlier, but it was heavily optioned and they would honor the original prices quoted.It was at this point that I asked Joe for next steps and he sent me the credit app via email. I am now on my 3rd lease from Platinum VW and I couldn’t be happier. Within a few days, we had a car delivered to our driveway with minimal work on our side. Our salesperson, Joe, also called our car insurance company for us. I had a moment of lapse of judgement and called a competitor to lease from them in hopes of a 2019, but they did not compare to the service we get at Platinum. Nor did they compare in price! And, they insisted that all deals needed to be in their dealership with an appointment. This just solidified our loyalty with Platinum- they are just good people... honest and accommodating. Thank you so very much.

Where to start! I had such a great experience at this dealership. I had the pleasure of working with Vildan. She was amazing from beginning to end. She made me feel very comfortable through the whole process. Its easy to feel pressured at dealerships but not at Platinum. Vildan explained everything to me and we made great deal that fit my needs. I just purchased a Volkswagen Jetta from Platinum VW and it is the second car I purchased from this dealer. The total experience was so pleasurable and they are by far the nicest dealership and best to deal with in my opinion. Manny Lucas, my sales associate was great. He was honest, patient and a pleasure to deal with. He never once pressured us or gave us any sales pitch. The finance manager, Bill was great. He didnt try to sell us anything extra and the numbers were exactly what me and Manny agreed on. This is the second car weve purchased from Platinum in less than 2 years and truthfully, its probably the only place Ill go to again. This dealership is so easy to work with and never felt that there was pressure to buy. Everyone was so accommodating especially my sales representative, Louis Velasquez. He was so genuine, knowledgeable and patient while working with me and he made it such a great experience. A couple of months ago I started looking for a new car for my mother who hates car shopping so I decided to take on the load for her, especially with Covid and her being imunocompromised. We worked with Vildan to buy our new Jetta. The process started with an enquiry online. Vildan was very helpful over the phone and by emails throughout the process. In this pandemic, I dont think the experience could have been better than this. We had visited few other dealerships with other brands but I must say Platinum did a great job. Although I didnt lease my car from them, due to the fact that their showroom was closed during Covid-19, she worked very hard to inform me about the car and their pipeline. I have purchased 5 cars from this dealership. I just returned a leased 2016 Tiguan and had the most horrible experience involving the owner of the dealership. The dealership requires the condition report to be handed in at time of turn-in. The report was 3 pages in length, the first-page showing charges for damages and the last two pages were boilerplate in nature (nothing specific to my car) I had the first page which showed there were no charges for damages to the vehicle however I did not have the last 2 pages. The two women at the front desk refused to take the car back without the last 2 pages. Frustrated, I asked to speak with a manager. No sooner had I asked when a man appeared out of nowhere and was in my face yelling at me and telling me to leave the dealership - effectively throwing me out. He accused me of cursing at the front desk staff and told me that would not be tolerated. I told him all I did was ask to speak with a manager and that I had not cursed at his staff. He then went on to yell at me and tell me he was the owner and there was no one else I could complain to. My wife asked if we could call the inspection company and have the entire report sent over. When she got the inspection company on the phone they were surprised at what was happening and told my wife to put the staff on the phone so she could educate them on how they can access the report. I have never been spoken to in such a harsh, rude, obnoxious, demeaning manner and I can assure you I will never purchase another car from this dealership again! Wow... losing a 5 car customer - shame on you!
