This is a great store. I took my eight year old son and we walked around for an hour. The staff were very nice and the store was well organized. A diverse selection of comics and toys and all price ranges. I definitely recommend a visit.

From the moment you walk into this store, youre able to see the quality and quantity of their varied stock. Be it MOC or loose - they have items on the shelf that youd be unlikely to find anywhere else. Add to that the friendly, helpful service and fair pricing. Had to stop myself from buying half the store, but the good news is Im looking forward to coming back!

Amok Time is always an enjoyable visit even though their prices for toys especially older stuff is on the high end,...because of that sometimes you can find some good stuff because people try and find it somewhere else cheaper.

Online Order Experience! Order arrived quickly, same week it was ordered, packaged well, legit product. Great experience although there wasnt a tracking number sent to me. (EDIT: They did send a tracking number but it went to spam folder) at the end of the day it arrived the same week I ordered.

I pre ordered in April. They pulled the money. Item was released June 15-16th. They never sent one email about it as the day came and went. Nothing. July comes, I figure I will email them asking for an update. No reply. Couple of weeks go by, I message again, no reply. Couple of weeks go by, I message again, no reply. I emailed them a total of 4 times asking for any kind of update. Nothing!I finally see they have a Facebook page and message them on there. They proceed to tell me that they shorted me on the item and refunded my money. They claim to have sent me a message on the 4th of august but it’s not even in my spam folder. The message was this. They don’t have it and refunded my money and pass the blame instead of taking responsibility. Thanks! I will be sure to never order from you again. You could have replied to one of my earlier messages or at least notified us earlier. Or how about trying to win a customer over by hooking up some discount on something else to keep me spending money with you. Either way. Never again. Thanks for the lesson.

Was a awesome store in the other shopping center. Its a alright store now. As much as they say it never was, the first time iwent there years ago it was a nicer when the upstairs was part of the shopping experience .

Not a huge store but has a lot of everything. Toys, collectibles and comics. Every genre. Pre-orders available too. Good people running the place. Has a bit of an odd entrance but once you find it it becomes old hat immediately.

Used to be my favorite toy store until my last encounter there.Ill buy from Ebay now.

This company has lousy service. I purchased an item that was never labeled pre order. A month later they had no answer why they did not have the product available. The item was literally just setting on the shelves at retail stores for $10 less than what I paid. When I contacted in regards to the issue I was told if your upset just nicely send us an email and we will cancel the order. I sent 3 emails. When I finally got a response back they charged me a 20% restocking fee for an item they never even had nor shipped. This was some time ago now but stumbled on their site again and remembered Im not doing business with this place

Same as Drew’s review. I have been trying for a long time to return and get a refund for a pretty pricey statue that came damaged. Nothing is happening and it’s not “easy returns” as claimed. Sorely disappointed.Edit: Something has finally come from the situation about a week after this review was posted. They filed a complaint with USPS, which only drags out this process instead of accepting and reselling the item at a lower price. “Easy returns” is a joke. Easier to resell it myself from third party means and if course, loose whatever I spent on this. Avoid avoid AVOID.

They make some of the best toys around, but they recently sent me an IT clown figure with a damaged package and wouldnt exchange it. I contacted them through the website and Facebook and provided them with my order number, photos of the damaged packaging, etc. I still havent heard back from them. If youre a collector that keeps your toys mint in package, I dont recommend buying directly from them. I wont be buying from them again unfortunately.

Amok Time Toys and Comics is the best comic book place on Long Island. I have been going there for over 11 years and the staff is amazing and always helpful and knowledgeable. My son and I always enjoy our visits...couldnt recommend a better place!

I placed an order for an item that was listed as in stock. Nearly two weeks went by, but my order never got updated beyond Processing. I called to get an update on my order, and the person I talked to said that he would look into it and get back to me. He confirmed that the item was in stock at the time when my order was placed, and had no idea why it was never shipped to me. I received an email within a few hours that simply said that my order was closed, due to the item being out of stock, and that no more stock was to be received.As this item was going to be a gift, and I cant find it locally, or from another seller who can get it to me in time, I am extremely disappointed.

Even though it takes a while to get there (for me, at least), its always worth the trip: comics new & old get sold at this place, along with numerous toys from the latest releases to those from the past (including several Japanese figures straight from Japan). The guys at Amok Time are great! They pull my comics and put them in a folder for me every week and they provide a high level of customer service that you will not find anywhere else on Long Island. This place is the best. I used to travel from Huntington to the old Levittown location 20 years ago because they had and still have the greatest collection of super hero action figures. Great comics too. Friendly and helpful staff.

Been a long time customer, since there smallest store in Levittown (1990s). Great selection, great employees and the owner is fantastic and fair with all pricing, when it comes to trades and selling. Id never frequent another establishment and my son has fallen in love with our weekly visits.

I live right around the block from Amok. So extremely convenient on that note. They have a great selection for collectors to browse through. It doesnt take long to find something youll be interested in.

Really friendly staff that are not on top of you when you are simply browsing around. Give you space to look and pricing is reasonable. They have some unique figures as well that I havent seen elsewhere around here.

I have been going to AMOK TIME TOYS for over ten plus years now and thats being light. I remember their first store, second store and now the Hicksville store. What can I say about them. The guys are always great with helping me and others making sure everyone gets equal attention. Sometimes you go to a place (NOT AMOK) and sometimes the staff isnt attentive to someone or the place is big but not enough staff, or the staff have their friends and dont care about the customers.But at AMOK, theres non of that. They make sure you leave the store happy. They have a great comic book order system where they hold your books until you come in that week to pick them up. They have both old and new items all the time but it pays to go at least once a week as Paul the owner is always getting some cool stuff in. Pete, Larry, Kevin and the rest of the staff are great. If you have a question, they always answer it unless its a complicated question but they will try to steer you in the right direction to get an answer for you.Your insane if you dont stop by if your in the area or live in a reasonable distance or go to their online store and check them out and yes they do have an eBay store. Even if you go to the store and dont buy anything, its just an AWESOME place to just walk around and take everything in. And when the staff arent busy they do discuss the latest news and rumors and just shoot the breeze with you.So remember the name, AMOK TIME TOYS, the best damn toy, comic, collectibles shop EVER. No, I dont own any stock. LolSeriously go and see them, you wont be disappointed at all.

Great location for your movie, comic, collectible, and toy fix! Despite the strange hours Amok Time has great products and prices are comparable to other locations like Mid Town comics. Reminds me of the glory days of NYCs. Forbidden Planet and has loads of parking (close to the LIRR too).

The website says open Sunday 12 to 3 PM. The only day I can get there. I get to the store at 12:15 to buy supplys boxes bags and boards for my business. And stand around in the parking lot until 1:00 waiting for someone who never shows up. Very unprofessional would never go again. I recommend Grasshopper Comics in williston park.

The wait is too long. Service just ok. Cant talk on phone and use internet at the same time. I regret switching from TMobile which allows you to do both.

Amazing toy and collectible collection, and might not be able to be beaten there. Few comics, though, and I havent been to the new location since its moved. Seems to be difficult to find and off the beaten track, now.

I purchased a Star Wars Hot Toys figure that was apparently out of stock. Bummer! But a very nice and helpful employee offered a discount on another similar figure. My Amok Time account was also having login issues (I also wasnt getting any email updates), so the employee reached out to me with the Amok Times Facebook account. They could have simply pocketed my money and claimed to have lost the transactions record which wouldve forced me to open a PayPal dispute. Instead, the employee moved mountains to reach out to me and help me with the transaction every way possible. This was probably one of the best instances of customer service I ever experienced. Thank you Amok Time, I look forward to doing business again and helping the company in the future!

Overall just a great environment, super friendly staff, a wide variety of merchandise and even if there is something they dont have they will go above and beyond to order it for you. Its practically a second home for my wife and I.

I have shopped at Amok Time Toys for many, many years. I am acquainted with the owner Paul, and a worker of the store for an extremely long time named Pete. I have shopped there because they have always been, as they are with all of their customers, fair in their pricing and availability of the action figures, at least when they have any control over availability of a given figure or set. This store has always been something of a dream store for me! They have such an assortment of different figures, comics and other collectibles! If you have never been there, I would suggest that you try to get to their store. If you cannot get to the store, at least look over the sheer number and variety of things that they sell.

My usual comic book store is 4th World in Smithtown, they guys there suggested I look at Amok for an Iron Giant statue I was looking for my husband. They had the last one available in the tri-state and they held it for me until I got off work which was not the usual store policy. They also hadnt marked up the price from the original cost of the statue which was awesome. The gentlemen there were also really nice & friendly: I hadnt realized that I pass the place whenever I go for archery down the road. Now my husband & I make a point to stop in when we are in the area.

I have ordered items in the past and never had an issue . Items were in good condition and arrived quickly and well packed. Prices are average considering a comic book store needs our support and business.

If youre a toy collector, Amok Time is THE place to go on Long Island. Nice, clean place, great selection of old and new stuff, friendly and helpful staff. I get all my stuff here, from GI Joe to NECA to Funko and everything else. I miss the nice showroom that they used to have at their Levittown location, but I know they needed the additional warehouse space to accommodate their growth, so Ill deal. I just wish I made more money so I could spend even more here, lol.
