Excellent customer service and friendly people. Ive been here quite a few times and never had any problems. One time, my glasses got stepped on at home and totally deformed, so I brought them into Hicksville Optical and one of the nice men there performed surgery on my glasses for free! The surgery was a great success and I still wear them now! I highly recommend this place.

Just picked up my new glasses from Hicksville Optical, and I am very pleased. The receptionists were friendly and accommodating. One of them helped me pick out a frame that would accommodate my heavy prescription and still look fashionable.I spent a long time making a decision, but I was not rushed. Prices for add-ons were a bit confusing, but eventually all was explained. I was promised the glasses in about two weeks. They were ready in eight days.Dr Thomas was excellent. She is very patient and I can see distance and reading perfectly.I will be back for sun glasses soon.

They are very informative but you never feel they are upselling and putting pressure on you into buying anything expensive or asking for your budget. Good opticals with a fair share of branded and non-branded Eyeglasses and Shades.The staff are helpful and very informative.Sumit gave me an overview of everything and Rohit took his time and expertise to help me choose glasses of my liking and perfect fit.He even gave good discounts on the chosen items.I am happy with my custom made eyewear.Was ready on time too. Lets see where do I start. I want to give an honest review. Not a fake review so I have win their advertised $100. I have been wearing glasses for 20 years, Ive had the cheapest pair to the most expensive, which would be at this location. First their glasses are over priced. Still they have a good selection. Not the largest but good. Second their customer service sucks. The receptionist are beyond rude. I tried giving them chances to show compassion but they laughed at me and showed so much attitude. Would delay answer my questions and reply with one single words, they would avoid answering and you can feel the awkwardness and tension. Why work as the face of a brand and be rude, im sure McDonalds is hiring, go there. Anyways the only good about this place is the optometrist! She is sweet, caring and does a great job. She really listens and adjust your prescription to your needs. If not for her I would leave and find another place. Infant after I get my daughters glasses I will not be going back. For the money you spend you should be getting quality service. I spent almost 1k for contacts and glasses just to be belittled. Not to mention the glasses kept falling off my face the week I got them.

The optometrists that work here are great. The owner is NOT.He pushes to have customers buy contacts through them and not other places like Costco.That makes sense and all, but its not good at the expense of lying to customers. To compete the owner offered a manufacturer rebate, but was dishonest about the value of the rebate. $60 versus the actual $30 is a HUGE difference. This is insane.You cannot run a business when you dont clearly read the fine print and are dishonest to customers because you yourself want to make a profit. Read, please. And if you make that kind of huge mistake, remedy it, because this is just sleazy.Very disgusted.

I haven’t gotten my glasses yet but overall the services were great and their representatives were extremely nice and helpfull😄

Everything was very straightforward and convenient. Called and got an appointment scheduled the next day. The place is very clean and professional. Went in and signed some paperwork which took 2 minutes. Did an eye checkup and test which took about 15-20 minutes total, then picked out a pair of frames. The doctor and the employees were very polite and thorough. They have a pretty good selection and definitely do not pressure you if you prefer to look for frames elsewhere. The prices for the frames are fairly discounted and you can add certain options like anti-glare lenses. Picked up the frames a week later.

Tried multiple cheap pairs online, nothing worked. Would not return. I was given an appointment and wasnt seen till 30mins plus after. Thought doctor was with other patient but saw them stroll in from parking lot. No reason given why I had to wait 30plus mins in an empty waiting room. Was told i need bifocals but was Not offered option of seeing And Reading glasses only offered option of Progressive lenses and was not told how awkward they are or that you need to adjust to them. I bought 2pairs and had to ask for a Case and was only given 1 soft case! They did not offer me my prescription i had to ask. It should have been given at end of doc exam. I paid 80dollars for frames that online are 8bucks. They didnt even adjust them for me when I picked them up. I would just get exam, prescription and buy the glasses online in future. I see others saying they received glasses quickly but mine took as long as if i had ordered them myself online so there is no convenience to buying in-store when they dont adjust or give cases without request.*In response to owner response:I am Amazed at response! I thought youd invite me back to give me 2cases and adjust my 2 pairs of glasses! I didnt say you charge 80for exam I said I paid 80for FRAMES that online are8bucks Maybe you need glasses. Everything I wrote is CORRECT how can you threaten me when Ive shared my experience??? You actually ignored my complaints completely and misread my complaints. You should be trying to correct the issues not threaten me or say Im fraudulent!!!

What a great team!There was definitely an adequate selection for children her age and we were shown additional adult frames that would have been appropriate for her as well. My 10 y.o. daughter was excited to finally be able to see the smart board once she received her new glasses. Three days after she received them we noticed a slowly expanding crack within the frame and we returned to the store for them to be reinspected. It was determined to be a defect and Sumit showed us replacement frames once we realized the manufacturer no longer had them available. The entire team did their best to make sure it was something that fit the lenses and that is was something she liked because she her mind set on a particular style. It is always a good feeling to walk away from a store feeling happy/satisfied lol about a purchase especially when it comes to something life-changing for your child and Sumit and his team made that happen. The store is clean, comfortable, Covid19 infection control compliant, and customer service is top notch. I highly recommend Hicksville Optical.
