I have been a member of the Beavercreek Armory for several years, however, I let it lapse since Covid. Bought a new handgun and wanted to shoot it. Got to the counter and spoke to the woman running the place. I asked for ammo to purchase; they have none. I had 7 rounds and said, okay, Ill just fire these. She wanted $5.00. Had I brought in a box of ammo, sure, Id give her the $5.00, but not for seven rounds. Also, I felt her customer skills were extremely lacking. I was prepared to renew my membership, but after our exchange and me thinking she was rude as heck, I declined and left. I will not be going back.
The owners were very rude to my wife. They just assumed because she was a young woman she didn’t know how to operate a firearm and they didn’t want her on their range. They’re very safety conscious, which is always a good thing, but very very rude to customers. Most condescending people I’ve met in a long time. My wife said she is very turned off of the firearms community because of them.
Joanne and David take safety and etiquette extremely serious and make sure you’re ready to use the lanes responsibly — they’re also freedom fighters. If you’re looking for bells and whistles, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for an EXTREMELY affordable place to shoot where your rights will be respected — this IS it. Plus they have eggs for sale from their farm! I always look forward to supporting local business like this. Thanks Joanne and David!
Me:Hello, Id like to inquire about using the range.Lady:you pay lane fee which is $20, and $25 for returning, plus $5 for your own ammo.Or, you pay $150 (or so) for membership fee, plus $20 lane fee and $5 for the ammo you bring in.Oh! We charge you for targets too, thats $2On top of your membership, your guests are each charged lane fee, ammo fee and target fee too.Me:So, whats the membership fee for if Im getting charged all these fees?Lady:Its a yearly fee! (now coming off defensive)Me:OMG! 😳I think Ill just got into the woods instead.Good luck to you.
Great place to do your silencer transfers, the owners are a nice couple who are a pleasure to do business withI have done two transfer through this place and would recommend them
It’s nice having a range close to home but who hired the customer service people!?. Good lord! I get it they work in an industry that is dangerous and needs to be taken seriously but while people who come to them may need training in firearm safety, they really need training in customer service and people skills.I know my dollar doesn’t mean much to this business because there is someone right be hind me waiting to pay them, but they lost my business and I hope this little crying rant stops at least one other from spending their hard earned money with a business that treats people the way this place does :)
If you just need a place to use your firearms and don’t care about anything else, I guess it’s as good as any other places. The problems come with the old couple running the range, mainly the lady.Let me preface by saying I’m currently in the military (20 years in) I’m a badged and credentialed DOA special agent, and hold a LEOSA concealed permit. When it comes to firearms, I know what I’m doing.I brought my oldest son who I’m training in the use of firearms and while we are picking the weapons to rent, the lady starts giving him a third degree interrogation about his experience with firearms, which is minimal, which is why we are on the range to begin with. She then tells me that I need to sign him up for a gun safety course (which they provide) which is laughable at best. After going back and forth about my son’s level of experience for a while (about 15 minutes longer than the 30 seconds it should have taken) I manage to shut her up, and we proceed to the firing lane. Let me be clear, she wasn’t upselling- she was straight up rude and out of line.Oh, and they charge for bringing your own ammo WHEN THEY DON’T EVEN SELL IT. These people are not running a business; they own a firing range and they allow people to use it. It’s a subtle but important difference.
Good place to shoot and very accommodating staff. Definitely will come back. Highly recommended.
Asked to see an Ar15 barrel for a project I have in mind. After explaining the project lady said I would be violating law. I assured her the project was completely legal per NFA laws. She gave me a snappy remark so I left.
I was skeptical coming in here due to the fact that the reviews are iffy, but Im very glad I did. The owners are very nice and straight to the point. They arent mean, or rude, or cold. They are just no non sense people when it comes to their range and range safety. I came in for the first time last Sunday and it was slow, they had me watch a video, then were very nice and understanding about the few questions I had. I even signed up for a membership before I left. Good range thats close by and managed well. What more could you ask for? Anyone saying that the people here are rude and cold need to stop being so sensitive.
They take safety and education very seriously here, which was extremely comforting for my first time. I took the Tea and Targets class with Hannah, and learned a lot. As a small, young female, I came in super hesitant, nervous, and knowing nothing, and having literally never been around or held a gun before, and left feeling much more confident in myself and much less fearful of firearms because now I know how to safely use one. Definitely worth my time and money, and went beyond my expectations. Im glad I went. Thank you for the positive experience
Went here Saturday for the first time and had a great time. The people were friendly and I even signed up for a membership.Im not sure what people are expecting here, its a small mom and pop owned gun store/range thats close to me and is exactly what I was looking for.
Ive been here a couple times. Nice people, nice place.
My first time visiting here and it’s amazing! The owners were extremely friendly and informative.I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, however I didn’t experience anything that I read negatively.Joanne was amazing and not a robot like someone said on here.My advice, if you invest $90 on a class... don’t be late.If you’re bringing new gun owners and want to train them... drive them to Wolfcreek where you can shoot freely. Not only were the owners great but I found myself in an hour long conversation with them and other patrons in the building.Everyone was kind and respectful and this is most likely my new home range. Definitely check it out for yourself.
Fire the grouchy lady who answers the phone. Just had a simple question about the availability of a part. I got a short snappy response “ we don’t carry those.”Don’t waste your time or money here.
Tea and Targets is the best class for women!! Hannah is a GREAT instructor! She puts safety first and you leave learning a LOT..Thank you Hannah!!
When you call a place of business you would expect them to know how to answer the phone. I call and some unprofessional ill manner guy answered the phone with a hello. I said hi as Im unsure if I called the right number and then he interrupted me and said well I said hello. Then he hung up on me. Maybe try answering the phone with... Thank you for calling Beavercreek Armory, how can I help you. If you dont like your job then quit!
Hanna was AWESOME and did great job teaching the gun safety and refresh course.
This is a fun and nice range to shoot at. The owners are very friendly people, who appreciate their customers. A friend and me went here and weren’t sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews. I think most of the bad reviews are because people don’t take firearm safety seriously enough. At this range, they ensure everyone is practicing safe shooting. To me, this is a great thing! Why would I want to go to a range where people are acting like fools? The other complaint is about them charging to bring in your own ammo. Every other range in the area does the same thing. If you are a member, it is only $5 for as much as you want to bring in. I think this is an absolutely fair deal. Overall, I think this is a great and safe place to shoot with friendly customer service.
My daughter and I just took the Handgun 101 class here. Hannah, the instructor was awesome. She was extremely knowledgeable and strongly emphasized safety and the importance of educating yourself and loved ones about firearm safety. As someone who has never held a gun I felt very comfortable and well prepared to shoot in the range for the first time. I plan to take advantage of Ladies night for practice!
I don’t like how many rules this place has. I understand the need for liability protection in case of accidents but it’s a bit much. It’s also not the best place for beginners learning to shoot. My friend wanted to teach me but we were told not to talk in the range and I was asked before entering if I knew how to operate. The lady at the front desk came across as rude and serious. Seems like a place for intermediate to experienced gun owners. Other than these issues however, I had a great first time here.
We took the Handgun 101 class this past Sunday, and it was a great experience! Hannah is a knowledgeable instructor who communicates vital concepts around firearms very clearly and thoroughly - I was very impressed! At the end of the class, we went over into the range and practiced what we learned, as well. I look forward to returning to the armory for additional training & instruction as well as using the range there.
Took $90 from me and I got nothing.I was looking to buy my first gun and needed a gun safety course and to take the class to get my conceal carry license permit. The day of the class, I was running 5 minutes late. I called to notify them but they said they lock the door 10 minutes prior. Being 5 minutes late to a class that is 3 hours long is not worth $90.Also, the worst part is the lady I talked to, Joanne, was very rude and condescending. She doesnt listen, she is only capable of repeating her rehearsed script in her head. I tried asking her direct questions but she only answered me in a very indirect way. Talking with her was the worst part of all of this. In fact, when I got home she said they could have done something for me if I was only 5 minutes late. But when I called while I was on the way, I told her I would be 5 minutes late but she made it sound like I was SOL. Shes a huge troll.I will be disputing these charges.
Complaints because staff prioritise safety?People on here are reviewing this establishment negatively because the staff are direct when it comes to safety, there’s no laughing and joking when it comes to firearms safety and of course the owners adhere to this very well and portray the importance of firearms safety in a direct manner to people so that they actually understand that they’re not playing with toys.Other than that the staff are friendly and helpful and the range is nice, the prices are great and me and my friend had a great time shooting there.
The few times I been to beaver Creek armory has been amazing. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I only seen the staff get upset when people dont follow the range rules. Other then that its a amazing range and will continue to go to!
Nice place to shoot and close by. Safety oriented. Friendly owners. Clean and professionally managed. You can shoot your own factory ammo for a small fee. Will go again this weekend.
Excellent firing range. I found the staff to be well-versed and knowledgeable and safety is a top priority. The lanes and the shop are very well maintained. After shooting at Browns Camp Im glad there is a safe place to shoot locally and out of the rain. Beavercreek Armory also caters to women shooters. They have a special womans night call Tea and targets. What I found impressive was the owners donate to local veterans non-profit associations as well as the Salvation Army every year. In conclusion I couldnt ask for a better shooting range.
Very very nice older couple treated me with respect. They made me feel comfortable. Another worker with tattoos was also very helpful with info. Definitely somewhere I will go back to. Thanks guys for the great customer service.
This place is safe, people who give it bad reviews because of the rules put in place to protect their business and their customers. This establishment is a reasonably priced place and nice, friendly owners, as long as you’re being safe.
This is a great and fun place with a friendly customer service, I went to this place to try my new toy and I will go back soon
I absolutely cant believe the negative reviews regarding this place. Nothing but wonderful interactions and it was our first time here. If you know what you are doing, and understand basic gun safety you will have no issue. No, you do not come to a firing range to learn how to load, shoot, and handle any firearm. If that is what you want they OFFER CLASSES. These negative reviews of this facility are in bad taste and should be disregarded as the staff was nothing but polite and logical. In regards to being seen as condescending, I feel as though the video and rules were just made clear for safety. I would not feel comfortable in a facility which would emphasize safety any less, as you never know the knowledge of the person next to you if otherwise. Guns are serious weapons and I am surprised at the reviews which do not describe them as such. They made our experience great and we will definitely be coming back! Loved the safety and kind attitudes from ALL the staff.
So I went into this establishment to do an ffl transfer. Never having done one I asked a bunch of questions. The old lady at the counter seemed nice but wasn’t very helpful. I got their business card and told them I was going to order the gun that day. Fast forward a week and no word from anyone so I called, no answer, I called the next day, no answer, voicemail was full so I emailed them still no answer. So I stopped by and she was rude and didn’t know what I was referring to so she wrote it all down. I told her no need to write it down all the info is in the emails I sent you. Long story short I called Oregon arms & ammunition and they did the transfer in 5 minutes after I filled out the form. Save yourself the frustration and don’t use this business!
Great store. Friendly Staff. Pick up my gun here and was out in 30min or less. Good prices for FFL Transfer.
Went in last week to see if it would be a good place to bring my wife for an introduction to basic handgun operation. I have a conceal permit but she just needs the basics for home protection when I’m gone occasionally. Walked in, took about a half minute after listening to the employee in front talk to the person who came in just before me. Owners must not be aware (unless this person was the owner) of what goes on. Left without asking my questions.
I have been a customer for several years. I started with Hannahs fantastic Tea and Targets class and continue to use the range on a regular basis. Yes they are strict about safety but I would be concerned if they were not. The staff has been helpful, knowledgeable, and always welcoming. Check it out!
Honestly, think the bad reviews of this company are misplaced. I went in near closing time and the Gentleman and Lady behind the counter still served me and allowed me to rent a rifle after watching their safety video and having a safety chat with the Gentleman. They genuinely couldnt have been nicer to me. Saying that, this is a gun store and range. You dont exactly go in acting an idiot. Be respectful, and dont mess around, and youll receive back exactly what you give. Nothing but respect for the Gentleman given how much he emphasised safety.I will absolutely be back next time Im in Oregon (Im British, but have been to plenty ranges in my time), and have recommended this place to others. I think the negative reviews probably come from people who turn up and think going shooting is like going to a play park. Its not. Must be done safely, and glad to see emphasis on it.
Wow where do I start. I visited this establishment on Sunday June 9th. I was talked down to because the lady working there thought that just because I was a woman that I did not know how to properly handle and shoot guns. She asked me if I knew how to probably load a bullet into the clip. No I just own the gun as my conceal carry but don’t know how to load it. Seriously?! The gentleman working there was sweet and if it wasn’t not him I would have left without spending a dime. They charge you $5 per 50 rounds if you don’t buy their over priced ammo. $20 per lane and can’t share a lane. Listen to me and just don’t go!
It’s unfortunate establishments like this stay in business with the customer service they exemplify. Especially in today’s society, being a gun range/shop; you should be nothing short of professional and courteous to all people, of all levels of experience—any business should really but in today’s age, our society sets a stigma on gun enthusiasts/owners, establishments. Stop adding to this negative connotation and change the narrative.
Rude owners. Everything is expensive.
I took a Handgun 101 class with Hannah! She was a great instructor. She seemed very professional and knows so many details about the guns. This is a shooting range, and the owners, of course, will have to take precautions when someone walks in with a gun. They have to make sure that the customer knows how to safely operate the gun. When these professionals people politely ask if you know how to operate the gun, or load the gun, or know how to carry a gun in absence of CHL, then we shouldnt be offended. These are all valid questions. I was asked if I knew how to carry a gun without a CHL in a car, and Hannah educated me on how to do it. The owners and their family are very open and they risk their lives to provide service to us. I am a satisfied customer and intend to bring my friends over for some target practice. Hannah also offered to a free suggestion/help if we intend to buy a hand gun! She also pointed us where and how we can get a deal for a revisit. Thanks for everything!
Lady at the front was rude to me and my friends.
I did read the reviews prior and had some concern in what I was reading but decided to check it out. I have been twice and joined for membership. A couple owns the range and I have had nothing but positive interactions. One of the two owners does have more of a bent for voicing safety but again both owners have always been nice and pleasant. They seem to have your typical range rules. I’m glad to have this range within a short drive from my house and look forward to go back as much as I can.
I love going to Beaver Creek. I am new to guns and all of the staff are very patient and welcoming. I feel very comfortable asking questions and seeking advice. I cant imagine having a negative experience here and it makes me wonder if some of the other people that posted were being reckless or disrespectful. I have been going there about once a month and my only regret is that I cant make it more often. Nice people, safe environment.
I went with some friends to the range, some experienced and some not with firearms and we had an excellent time. The staff was very knowledgeable and showed us how to operate firearms in a safe manner making all of us feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. There were several different guns to rent in a wide range caliber sizes and types which was fun to see the difference in these firearms first hand. The range is clean and well kept allowing for several groups to be there at once, have fun and be safe.
WORST SERVICE EVER.. Will not be returning!
If you’re looking for a fun and safe place to go shoot, BeaverCreek Armory is a great option. I took their Handgun 101 class were they taught the basics of firearm safety and how to handle a handgun properly. The instructor Hannah was Awesome!! She is very knowledgeable and is NRA Certified. Go check this place out!
Ive been to BeaverCreek Armory a couple times and loved it! Not knowing much about guns to begin with, the staff was extremely kind and informative. I purchased a membership on my first visit and brought a guest with me on my second, who also had a ton of fun and felt completely safe at the range. Everyone we saw exiting the shooting area had smiles on their faces. Id recommend this range to anyone looking for a safe, family-owned environment. And supporting a small business is always a plus!
Horrible customer service, very condescending staff. I knew after reading the reviews I shouldnt have even attempted to give them my service! Never again
This place is WONDERFUL!!!I go in frequently, and they have always been very informative, kind and thorough. They have an in house gunsmith that is ideal for any questions you may have about your firearm, and they have a gun range and rentals that are second to none!!! This is almost worthy of a tourist attraction status, as you see people from all over the map travel here to learn about firearms and visit the range. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!
All 3s!! The service was awesome. This was my first time shooting a gun so it was a nice experience. They close at 8 PM, so me and my wife arrived around 7:20. We needed to take the quick video class and a quiz before getting to the range. Wife started shooting around 7:40 while I was taking care of baby outside the range since they are not allowed inside. They started to load some magazines prior so I could use all my 50 rounds and we call could get out by 8. I had 1 magazine left and it was already past 8 and they let me finished it... Dave and Jo-Ann are great folks.. always explaining what needs to be done and very kind folks... I live on Salem so I cant be there more than couple days a month but each time I will drive to PDX I will sure stop by.... It was simply awesome!
One star because of the super passive aggressive language on their website. They think everyone is a child. Also one star because of the owner replies on the reviews. Again, passive aggressive and are always sorry YOU feel that way, not because of their actions. I know they will threaten to contact Google to have my review removed but it is just so good luck :)
Beavercreek Armory is a nice establishment that is family owned and operated. The mother and father owners are very pleasant and knowledgeable—has a fun conversation with them and had some laughs as well. I took the Handgun 101 and CHL classes with Hannah Frazier. Hannah was great—she was informative, knowledgeable, had lots of experience and was engaging and encouraging, making everybody feel as comfortable as possible. She was patient, observant, and very clear with her communication but also adequately strict and diligent—safety is her top priority. I returned the next day after my class to find out what gun I had rented for the class. I enjoyed shooting the gun I used and inquired about suggestions for other brands, models, and calibers for my intended purpose. I dealt with the son who is equally experienced as his parents it seems and also knowledgeable, but something about his tone and way of speaking is a bit too arrogant and uninviting. Even my 13 yr old son identified that it was an awkward interaction. I understand that he knows firearms tons more than I do, but I don’t need to be chastised for having an opinion. I do recommend this establishment, and intend to join as a member to practice my shooting, but I’ll need to work on getting to know the staff a little better to overcome some communication barriers.
BeaverCreek Armory is very close to my home so its an ideal place for me to learn how to properly use my handgun - if its the right fit.I spoke to Hannah over the phone about classes - she was great - then decided to visit that night.I met Joanne, who was very nice and spent a lot of time showing me the shop, range and classroom facility, while talking about class content and events. I also met David and Matt. David even took the time to show me how to use a tool that will make my life easier. Nice clean place with friendly, knowledgeable people.Classes are popular and are already full for the next month. Hannah said shed add me to the waitlist; I hope I can take a class before February! BeaverCreek Armory looks like a good fit for me.
Great customer service during my recent visit. My girlfriend and I both rented handguns and had a great time. The prices were also very reasonable compared to other ranges I have visited.I look forward to going back in the future.
Signed up for a range membership. Took their 101 and CHL class. I learned a lot. Had a great time. Hannah (the instructor) was great. I hadnt fired a gun in almost 20 years... but she brought my confidence right back and answered all my questions. Shes fun, to.The range has rules and the owners have to figure out if you are gonna be responsible or not. They dont know you from Adam... so you could be a Navy Seal and they are still gonna ask you the same questions. If you are offended by someone asking you if you know how to load your gun, you might want to go someplace else. But Im glad they take the business seriously.I didnt shop around so I dont know about their prices. Dont really care, either. Theyre nice. Theyre a family business. And I they know what theyre doing.
Great and friendly service. Good pricing. Very cool and relaxed vibe. Thy have good specials too. Great place to go shooting.
Went today with a brand new 1911 and had a great time. You watch a common sense safety video and take a test afterward. Since my weapon was brand new they offered to lube a few important parts for me. First timer $20 lane fee was perfect. You have to buy their ammo which was much cheaper than bimart. I had an over all very good experience and after reading some of the reviews I saw online I was a little worried when I walked in. I will be going back, and hope that I will have the same service.
My go-to range. Im there at least once a month. Right up the street and theyre rad af! Let me bring my own ammo in...5 bucks per 50 rounds. Thats a deal. Inexpensive lane fees. They have a good selection of rental firearms if you dont have your own. Ladies...take advantage of Ladies Night Fridays. Great classes and membership options too. They handled the transfer of the tactical shotgun I purchased online. Easy and smooth transaction. I appreciate yall. 💕
I took this class back in May. I was nervous going on my own but Hannah was made it comfortable and welcoming. We literally had tea & crumpets. She was very helpful with her coaching in the actual target lanes. I recommend getting this for yourself or daughter/wife/girlfriend/best friend if you would like her to be comfortable with handguns and know how to shoot.
Used a Living Social coupon and upgraded the gun and ammo. We watched a quick 20 minute orientation video and were handed the rental, ammo and targets and in we went. The range is basic, clean and easy to understand. It wasnt to crowded on a Sunday afternoon. We were able to rent and try a couple of different guns.Prices are in line with other ranges. If it wasnt for the distance we have to travel, wed consider a membership.
Rude lady at front, not helpful at all in fact I honestly don’t know how they stay in business. I guess if you are going in to get info on what you want to buy then this is simply not the place to start.
Service was great. They took the time to teach my wife how to handle and use a gun. They were very friendly the entire time too.I feel the range could have a bit more depth (more range) but its fine for firing 22s to 9mm
Brought my wife who never fired a gun before. VERY friendly and professional staff made us both comfortable. Good orientation before we began and we had a good enough time to go back more frequently...which was the point.
Safe, clean, and fun. I shoot here once every two weeks and really like the setup. Dave and Jo-Ann are extremely friendly and I really like the new target retrieval system they recently installed. I have been able to teach my kids handgun safety in a comfortable environment thanks to this place. Im a regular now.
Went here yesterday to take advantage of the groupon. The older gentleman that helped me was friendly, informative and helpful. The range was clean and well maintained. Ill be back for sure.
The most democratic gun range in all of Oregon. If there was anything worse they would confiscate your guns at the door and have you throw bullets instead. Stay far away from this so called gun loving place. We will never be back.
Walked in to get info on prices and range rules with the intentions of shooting. I was met with an attitude like I should know how there business works before showing up, which is ironic since they seem to beat the rules into all the other customers. Needless to say my group decided to go to a different range where we felt welcome and will never be back!
I took my basic pistol 101 with Instructor Hannah today. She was amazing instructor. I will be back for Hand fun defense 101 for sure!
I have to say this place is awesome! I have never been to a range before, and never even shot a gun before (unless you count the BB guns), and found this on a daily deal site. I took a couple of friends, and the owners make sure it was a wonderful experience. We almost had too much fun, if that is possible to do.
I took the Tea & Targets class for women. It was well done, and made me feel comfortable with asking questions and with shooting. I have gone back once to use the shooting lane and had another good experience. I purchased ear and eye protection there at a reasonable price. It is located in a convenient place for those living on the west side.
Took the basic pistol 101 course with Hannah and she is a superb teacher. Very good overview of your responsibilities as a firearm owner and how safety is such a critical factor in gun ownership.
My boys and I have been here a few times. We have been pleased with the family-oriented feel of the range. We dont shoot as a way of life, so it is nice to get the attention to detail when learning about the ins and outs of gun handling and safe behavior. We have had a few issues with the .22 pistols, but they have been addressed in a courteous and professional manner
My Daughter and I took the Handgun 101 class. This class was for beginners. We felt very comfortable in the class and on the range. Our instructor was Hannah, she was very imformative. Everyone there was very helpful. We will return.
Just a quick response to Hannah Frazier, your membership fees are NOT lower then The Place to Shoot unless in your version of math $120 is less than $75 or $50. Also PSTC does not charge a lane fee once youre a member. Both of those places are better values and they dont force you to join the NRA...*Note: If you meant what you said about A Place to Shoot which is in Los Angeles California, then you are right about your membership fees, however why would you compare it to a place in Los Angeles?
Great friendly staff! Just signed up for some classes for me and my woman! Cant beat a indoor range and the knowledge the staff pertains! Was first skeptical cause of some reviews however I think those people are oversensitive! Great little place!
The staff are very nice and helpful. I wanted to buy ear protection, and the salesperson didnt upsell the overpriced ones - Ive been using these (less expensive) ones for years and they work great!
I took my daughter to the BeaverCreek Armory for her 16 Birthday. We both loved it. All the staff was nice and helpful. I certainly would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a safe place to shoot.
This was my first time to a gun range and it was a pleasant experience. I dont know what to normally expect tho. Everyone was nice and courteous and helped me out with learning to shoot.
Ive never owned a hand gun or shot at a club. Everyone was incredibly kind and professional. The classes are great.
This was probably the worst experience. The staff wasnt nessesarily rude but they werent very welcoming. They are so strict on their rules and they have no trust or faith in people and basically treat you like a child. They dont allow you to keep any of the brass or boxes and then they turn around and sell them themselves. They also charge you to take your own ammo in, which is a joke. The whole place needs a face lift and they need to get with the times. Rules jor the facility are updayed. I would never return here.
These guys are great! Theyre serious about 2 things. Safety and shooting. Ive seen some less than stellar reviews online and Im glad they didnt dissuade my decision to become a member. We shoot at least once per week and what I can say is that they are sticklers for the rules which is EXACTLY what I want when my wife and I and soon our 14 year old daughter are handling loaded firearms. Show respect, stay safe and follow the rules and youll be glad you chose BeaverCreek Armory as your local range!
Ive been to Beavercreek several times now and have always been treated with courtesy and respect. Yes, they are serious about safety. Im very glad of that. I would not want to be shooting in the same range with people who dont take safety seriously.
I took the Tea & Targets class at Beavercreek armory and absolutely loved the experience. Hannah is an incredible instructor, and makes everyone feel comfortable and prepared before stepping into the range.I love that they offer a ladies-only class. It creates a less intimidating atmosphere to learn in. I would 100% recommend the range and the class!!
The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating. I went with two other friends. This was a first time experience for all of us and we were, of course, a little timid. The staff walked us through the proper use of a gun. We left the armory excited and expecting to be back there soon. All in all it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend BeaverCreek Armory.
Went once and it was great. Went back a few years later and the staff was so downright rude and condescending that we left. Too inconsistent.
Horrible experience. The staff is rude, unhelpful, and downright incompetent. We went there with 3 Military/prior Military (one of them current SF) and my wife that has taken hours of safety training (we in the Military take firearm safety seriously). We were all spoken down to and treated like children. We went there specifically for my wife to try out different pistols to determine what we want to purchase (as a Christmas present), the staff was unable and unwilling to help us. If you are Military, STAY AWAY FROM HERE!
They literally are just rude to customers. They have no customer service at all, and they just plain and simple don’t care about customer service. Overall a terrible experience. They should be ashamed of themselves.
The store owner was extremely friendly and helped me with the new Silencer Shop kiosk service. Everything went great and I will definately be back to pick up my new suppressor and shoot it there at the indoor range for a test run.I advise anyone reading to go out and get your suppressor now while you still can. They will constantly push their gun control and try to ban guns and all forms of accessories in the future. ATF41 is active and SS simplified the process in obtaining your suppressors.
I am a Navy veteran that helped run the armory and teach/train sailors on firearms at various ranges. I live in the area and wanted to bring my wife and daughter(12yr), who have shot before and are familiar with the basic tenants of firearm safety(treat, never, keep, keep). My intention was to share a lane and coach them with the 2 pistols( 9mm, .45ACP) that I brought. Instead their rules were that we each needed a lane($20 per person) and that if they(my wife and daughter) were not proficient enough to be in their lane without any assistance that they would first have to take a 3hr class with one of their instructors. My initial idea was to go outdoors at Browns camp or similar but due to the rain I thought that I would instead pay the extra and make a solid day of reinforcing good shooting technique at a proper range. Instead I was turned away. Never seen a range like this. Next time Im going to try that range in Sherwood.
I want to like this place. They are inconsistent and expensive. Some days you get great service but other times the owners make you feel like your bothering them. Additionally they tend to be closed when I want to go. They are the only game on the west side and they act like it. If you have the time go to the Clackamas County training center. Cheaper, the facilities are far nicer and the service is consistently good.
They dont have it? Dont worry... They will take your money, order it, and your item will not arrive.... Whats best, is they try EVERYTHING to not hand your money back. Avoid.
Beautiful facility, excellent instruction of the NRA Basic Pistol Class by kind and qualified teachers, no meat head atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff even though it was a very busy Saturday. It means a lot to me when staff at a busy place repeatedly thank customers for their patience. A good selection of rental guns, and as a beginner, I felt comfortable admiting it and asking for recommendations.
Charged me $20 to watch my son shoot his 22 rifle. He is too young to be in the range himself and the dont have a viewing area so I had to use the lane next to him. There were 6 empty lanes yet they charged me to watch. Also charged to use his own ammo even though they dont have 22 rounds. We will not return.
Way overpriced and the clerk tried to sneak in an extra 20 dollars onto my ticket. Good thing one of us was paying attention..
After reading the reviews I was skeptical about shooting here. But, its close to my house. Did not even get to the test before witnessing another customer get treated like an idiot. I decided to leave. I have 150 employees that i manage daily, these people have no clue. how are they even open still.
This play is great! Instantly I felt right at ease with the great family atmosphere vibe they had going here. I would highly recommend this place.
Bad customer service I called to see if they were opened and they pi led up the phone and said good bye. Horrible service!
Rude enough over the phone. Lost my business before I even got there.
A lot of positive 5 stars I see and same amount of negative down to 1 on this place. I haven’t been but on the way now to experience.
I called and asked about their shooting range. I had a couple questions since I have never shot their before and the lady was incredibly rude and I asked if they were busy today and she told me in a very condescending way, “well it is the weekend.” When I asked if they were busy right now she said, “I already told you it’s the weekend.” Because of this experience I’ll be going elsewhere.
