No stars... I scheduled an appointment weeks in advance. I arrived 20 minutes before the scheduled time (today). The first talk took place almost an hour after my arrival. Oil, tires (pressure), nothing special to do. After almost four hours waiting, I tried to know what was happening. They told me they were very busy... What is this nonsense? Several people who arrived after me got service before me; they were no longer there when I left. A complete lack of respect. I dont want to be privileged, to be treated very well at the expense of other people. I assumed that scheduling had some meaning, on Route 22. We can understand 30 minutes, one hour late, but make a client wait four hours is outrageous (as chronology disrespect). Scheduled or not, the order of arrival must be observed. Four hours waiting... Never more. I had an appointment!

I came in for a oil change and a tire pressure light that wouldn’t turn off for months. I went in and was told I had to wait and that I would get a call when my car was ready. After receiving a call and went in to pick up my car I was given a paper and told to go to the cashier. The cashier was so rude all because I was asking why I was being charged for my 1st oil change ( which is free when you purchase a new car ). She then proceeded to tell me to go speak to someone else that she can’t help me. Overall horrible experience. No one explains anything to you. I had to ask what was wrong with my tire pressure because no one told me if there was any issue or anything. Will not be coming back whats so ever.

Never go here it is the worst Toyota I’ve ever been at. It took them 4 hours to change one tire for me. I had an appointment at 7:30 in the morning. People came in for major service after me and left before me. Absolutely horrible place. I would not recommend someone to come here at all. If you talk the people in the lobby they’ll tell you the same thing.

Used a coupon for oil change and tire rotation. This Toyota Service Shop has always been terrific. I’ve bought about 9 new vehicles from them, this being my last. Sales force has gone down horribly. I will still buy Toyota, just not from Route 22 Toyota in Hillside. I will still use their service team.. outstandingly.Update 7/27. Manager Rod Solis responded to this review asking that I give him a call… tried no less then 4 times over the last week… now I know why the sales team went down. It all starts from the top…Update: I spoke with the manager Rod Solis, explained some issues that had been addressed. Hopefully he has a better understanding of customer frustration. I wholeheartedly give 4 Stars and will try Route 22 Toyota for my new car.

I left my car at the mechanic I left it for 3 days and just so they could do check my tires and they make everything so complicated. The workers are doing their job but the supervisor there is the one who doesn’t treat the customers right. I got a Toyota Tacoma and I wanted the oil changed but why said they already did and the car isn’t sounding like it’s supposed too they just reset my dash bored because on the dash board it said it need maintenance.

I bought a new 2021 Toyota Highlander andcame here for my first service. After my first service I began to have weird noises coming out of my car so then I went for another appointment where they wasted 4-5 hours to tell me the car was okay. Later to find that the car is still making those noises so finally I decided to go back and the mechanic did a road test with me and heard it too and told me they will fix it. There was a lady from their department told me they needed to keep the car to run diagnostics. They did not call me back with a diagnosis, I had to call them multiple times where they still didn’t give me a diagnosis. Finally 2nd day at the end of the day they told me they diagnosed the problem and fixed it this time and gave it back my car and I drove it and heard the same noises again. On top of it, this car I gave in is for my work so I lost my time and money. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I don’t know what should I do, very very poor service.

I knew going on a Saturday morning for an oil change and tire rotation was pushing it, but my car definitely needed it! I got there a few minutes earlier then my appointment. I was greeted and helped out right away and they had me sitting in the properly spaced waiting room in no time. My advisor was very attentive and answered all of my questions that I had about my new cars maintenance. I figured at least two hours since it was a busy morning for them, but I was out of there within an hour of stepping foot inside. By far, tremendous service !!

I got there with my 2008 Toyota Sequoia Limited about 720am,I had the oil and filter changed,transmission fluid changed,brake fluid changed,power steering fluid changed,front&rear differential fluid changed,transfer case fluid changed and the coolant changed,Mike kept me well informed of exactly what else was wrong with my vehicle as the work was being done.What I didnt like was the mechanic left some grease smudges on the inside drivers side door handle and part of the door panel,hopefully theyll improve that in the future,but overall it was a pretty good experience...

Call and ask for prices on a parts and was very rude when it came to parts availability and prices difference I can see why nobody used them and deal with them especially the manager in parts he was no help and definitely not willing to sell parts over 200 dollars in parts and he can’t even have respect to check availability and understand my situation and issues and didnt even to be a professional personal especially a manger of a dealership how do they find these people guess u can find good help anywhere if there was a zero rate still would let be enough to describe the professionalism of that parts department 🤦🏽‍♂️

They were extremely busy today but attended me pretty quickly. I went in for them to fix my airbags and they did additionally they turned off maintenance light . They also checked my car for the sounds it was making and tightened my belt. The airbags were recalled so that service was free because that’s on Toyota. The rest they did for free just because I mentioned it during a quick chat with one of the representatives there.

The wait for the service is too long, the first person who extended me was a thin woman who showed a terrible treatment and went to another person Raul Urges who took good care of me. When they gave me the car it was all dirty of fat wherever they ran into their hands even in the passenger seat, I will never return to that place. I do not recommend it to anyone and they send you coupons which you can not use later because they tell you it is for another car model

It took them 4 hours for a simple oil change with an appointment. I could imagine going there with out one. I got there at 9:30am and 20 minutes later I asked an employee how long before it’s done and he replied 15 more minutes. I had to be at work at 10am but since it was gone be ready sooner than I thought, I decided to wait for it, but after 3 long hours my vehicle wasn’t and I had to take a uber to my job and missing 3 hours of work. My vehicle was ready at 1:43pm and I had to leave work at 4pm to pick it up in a second uber adding to the bill $32 extra dollars. Bad service.

Service advisor Mike was very professional, proactive in asking for other issues and concerns about my Minivan (Sienna XLE/AWD) and recommended services due at 60k. Did a transmission fluid change, coolant service, rear and front axle(s) service. He addressed my main tire issue and recommended replacing a front tire that’s wearing out unevenly. Very satisfied with service(s) performed.

I have been a customer since 2017. I go to Route 22 Toyota service department every other 4 months. I was always treated very nice till today. I went there earlier today and I unfortunately had a terrible experience thanks to Christina who works in the office. She treated me very rude. Her attitude ruined my day. I asked couple questions and the only thing that I received was her attitude. I also told her that she was giving me an attitude and not giving me proper answers but i just wanted to leave the room not to talk to her anymore. Toyota should have better employees who can smile and not to bother their customers who pay a lot of money for their services. Next time I go there I will ask not to have her. I took 2 stars away only because of Christina.The rest of the team is amazing.

They try to scam you in so many ways and try not to bring things up. Recently purchased a new car and had to take it back a few times. They don’t care a single bit after you sign the paperwork. They sold me a car with no lights, and when i went back they put in the wrong lights still. Aswell as trying to overcharge me on my car after i bought it.

Basically very poor customer service from the start to finish. The guy who took my car in had a nasty attitude. First he ignored me for a while & when I asked him why no one was interested to serve me yet I had an appointment, he said he was working alone. He was very rude to me. He could have at least acknowledged my presence and let me know that he would attend to me later. I had an appointment and intended to do more services on my car but I decided to only do what was urgent at the time then take my car for service elsewhere. I will never go back there and would not recommend services at Route22 Toyota location. I tried to reach the service manager by phone severally, even left 2 voicemails but I never got a call back.

This Station has a clown communication service. In the beginning I never recieved a confirmation of my appointment via email or text. I had to call to confirm my own appt. I arrived a bit early for drop off. But area was closed. Staff was arriving at 7am and after, opening up 710am - 715am. Route 22 Hondas staff was there at 640am opening up at 655am. I think I would buy a Honda after this. Furthermore I never recieved updates ofmy cars completion. For some reason I couldnt, and neither could your customer relations, get your service dept to pick up the phone at any point during the day. Picking up my car, the cashiers are just chit chatting away with a stack of bills in front of them.Neither of them answering calls. Nor making calls to give customers a courtesy calls. Now a day later Im recieving correspondences to not only rate my service but also that I missed my appt. FOH! Your other bad reviews for the past 6 months are valid.

I don’t normally give out negative reviews but feel this needs to be shared due to lack of professionalism. Firstly, for the past couple days, I simply called to get a rate for a tire replacement I needed and if my warranty covered it. I was then told I’ll get a call back from an advisor in which they asked for my name and number so I can be reached. Not once did I receive a call back and on top of that their voicemail mailbox was too full to be able to receive anymore voicemails from callers. When I called back yesterday for about the 20th time (if not more), one of the receptionists told me I have to come in person to get a rate. This was the first time any of the reps mentioned that. I set up my appointment and long story short, it took 3 hours of having me sit and wait patiently for them to finally just give me the rate and then tell me that something else needed to be fixed which I had checked prior and know for certain there was no need for that extra repair. Just another way to get extra money out of your pocket I guess. Their lack of customer service and the frustration of all this unfortunately had me decide to not get the work done there but rather elsewhere for the better. Hopefully they can step up and show more courtesy towards their consumers so no one else has to deal with situations like this.

The manager was extremely rude and ignorant about covid protocol. I was double masked because I have an infant and a toddler. He said he didn’t have to wear a mask because he was vaccinated. He got too close to me and caused me a lot of stress and anxiety. I wish people like him educated themselves about covid-just because he’s vaccinated doesn’t mean he can’t get sick and then infect others. It just means the likelihood of him dying from covid is low. I have to be more cautious because of ignorant people like him.

They were very helpful. They did all the legwork for me over the phone so all I had to do was go in & sign. One snag about that was that my salesman missed an option I wanted on my car & I didn’t notice until I was practically driving away with it. I would say that was the only snag & if you’re very clear with them you should have a very good experience.

I have a 93 Toyota Corolla. I went in for an engine oil dipstick. They didnt have it in stock but they was able to get it special order. A fair price too for the dipstick, good customer service as well. I like the way the place looks as well, different from the last time I was there.

Heads up!! If you are doing a Maintinace required for your vehicle expect that you’ll be waiting for 3 to 4 hours or more. This is the only Toyota service place that I have been that takes forever.

Nothing has changed. Its been over a year and I swore to never go back to Rt 22 Toyota dealership service again.Theres been a major recall on my 4runner and an appointment to replaced the recalled part was made on July1 2021 for Wed, July 7th.I had to get a ride because Toyota doesnt offer one, and get my vehicle there by 10am. I get there and was handed a number exactly like you would take a number at a deli counter. I patiently waited a half hour and then was called into a room, quietly told the recalled part was not in stock and needed to be ordered. Wow, besides the wasted hour an a half, my wife took time out of her scheduled to ride me home! I was livid to say the least, of course, the usual suspects couldnt care or even try, the first being Tom Carrino.I will never go back here, in fact, Id rather lose a toe than deal with these inconsiderate arrogant people again!Btw, in 1 whole week nobody realized to call or to reschedule or bothered to check on how to do business.Once again, thanks for nothing Rt 22 Toyota Service.

I have found a new dealer for all my parts. I have 3 dealers in close proximity to my house but I will gladly drive the 30 minutes to deal with Route 22 Toyota instead just based on the staff and the prices.

This was the worst experience I ever had at a dealership. I had the opportunity to deal with John, he was the rudest Service provider. I purchased my vehicle from this dealership and it seems all my experience with the dealership has been an unpleasant one. John took unprofessional to a new level. I dropped my car off at 7:30am for a 20k mile service which included oil change and tire rotation. I received a text at 8:39am from John advising he would text me when my car was ready. By 4pm I had not received ANY further communication regarding the status of my car. I tried 3 times to reach the service center only to be transferred to a voicemail each time.I have been a Toyota owner for quite a few different vehicles since 1995. This was the worst I have EVER experienced regarding customer service in the service center.

I brought my vehicle to change a starter. When I purchased the starter right here at the dealership. I made a appointment with service department to bring my vehicle in for service the next day when the starter will be ready for pick up. They told me because I purchased the parts just need to PAID FOR THE LABOR, ITS 375.00+ TAX. So tow my vehicle in the same day for service next day. When going to pick up the vehicle, they want $ 955.36 for the service. They ripping people off. MANAGER Said they had to take a part of the ENGINE OFF, AND NEED MONEY TO PAY HIS EMPLOYEES, he can’t do nothing with the bill.

From service agents to manager are very very rude and insensitive. Very sloppy car repairs and when I complained they were uncooperative. They refused to take care of the problem even though they caused the damage, they refused to take responsibility and they demanded $280 to diagnose the issue and another bill for repairs. This is a very inefficient service center, they only want money, they are a ripoff.

I leased my vehicle from this dealer and brought it in for service on 01/02/21 for an oil change and to check a cracking noise from the suspension that I have been hearing for several months. They advised me that no noise was heard. I returned the vehicle to service on 02/20/21 for the cracking noise once again. This time, a tech verified the noise and and hour later was advised the vehicle was ready for pick up and they had found plastic wrapped around the suspension. I took the vehicle and left. Today is 02/26/21 and I have returned for the same noise I keep hearing. I arrived at 11:30 am and my number was 81. Fast forward 45 minutes to 12:15 pm and no service advisor called me or did the number change. I asked several times if I could leave the vehicle and have a service advisor call me but I was advised it was not “legally” allowed. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism before and they have lost my business.

I called to make an appointment and after that I drove to that place. As soon as I arrived a person told me that I didn’t had a appointment for that time so I called again and made a appointment for the same day 30 minutes after.I wait for my correct time and a guy gave me a paper with a number. I went through the customer lounge and wait 30 minutes but no one came to me or called me.All advisors were inside their offices.I asked for my car and left after waiting more than 30 minutes without doing the maintenance in my car.I believe they don’t care about their customers. Got a 15,000 mile service which is just a tire rotation. Made an appt for 12:15. Got out at 2pm. What’s the point of an appt if you have to wait for a lift to be available.Inner door card was extremely dirty with a huge oil stain and the maintenance light was not reset, which is what it went in for.

I made it very clear on the phone when I was booked my appointment that I have very limited time and that I need to be back by a certain time and they reassured me stating they’ll get me in a loaner. It was the worst experience I had . Car was in full warranty Only 6000 miles and 7 months old . One defective tire is the problem. First time they fixed it after 3 weeks same tire air leaks. They refused to repair and asking to pay $190 for a new tire. Company is thief. I will never recommend it to anyone.

You call up, schedule an appointment, tell them exactly what you need done. You still have to go in, a valet checks your car in but is unable to share information with their service system so they have no idea why youre there so you have to wait for a service advisor, have them write you up, even though you might have already paid for the service and told them why you were there. Then it took them two hours to replace a tire, that they already ordered had arrived the day before and you had specifically an appointment for. This is not atypical in my experience with them either.

Total scams. Call before going there to make sure of the price for an oil change and was told it will be 45. Got the and the customer rep did not accept my coupon and had to talk to the manager just so he can tell me that he cant accept that and that no one told me that price. Check the phone call just to tell me he is going to talk to the lady but he can only do is $74 instead of the regular price of $79. STAY WAY JUST WANT TO TAKE YOU MONEY AND WONT HONOR A COUPEN THAT THEY SENT YOU.

The service here is horrible, my service advisor was John Velli, his attitude was very poor, he never called me about anything to update me about the services . He was trying to scam out of 200$ saying my warranty didn’t cover the diagnostic fee, when making an complaint to the supervisor ALEX. He was huffing and puffing as in I was annoying him ! I took my car there for cel diagnostic I drop the car off on Tuesday afternoon, the service agent said they would call me the same day. So when I didnt received a call Wednesday morning I call noone was available to tell me whats going with my car. I called this place over 10 times nobody could tell me anything about my car, so Thursday afternoon I went to pick up my car thats when the service agent said the did not detect any issue with the car. UNBELIEVABLE!

They keep your car running. These guys also keep you informed on services that will prolong your vehicles life. The televisions are nice in the lobby.

Came in to get my bumper fixed. Turns out that it needed to be completely replaced. This is around the pandemic and I am an essential worker so I needed another car in order to work while mine was in the shop. Due to the pandemic I could not get a loaner car. But the shop held my car for a month. Not updating me on the progress of the car. I had to call about my car. It was actually a nightmare. Until another woman came in from a completely different shop to tell them to update me on my vehicle. I’m coming out of pocket for an accident I wasn’t at fault for.

My experience was great as always. I felt safe being in the waiting area. My advisor kept me informed of the status of my vehicle, as it was beening serviced.
