It is never a good feeling when you are traveling and having a issue with your car. They were recommended to me by Advance Auto as being honest and good quality work.They didnt disappoint and my car was back on the road before close of business!! I took my car to be repaired due to good reviews from my colleagues, but I had an opposite experience. I took my car on 12/3/2020 because I had been told a specific part needed replaced. They took my car over night because they wanted to make sure thats what was actually wrong. When I called the next morning they said they hadnt looked at it, then when I called back a few hours later they still hadnt started. I then called at 1:30ish and suddenly my car was ready, I hadnt been told what was being replaced, what they had found out, or what the cost would be. My check engine light went off but the next morning it was back on and it was having the same issues.I took it back to them 12/17/2020 for them to take another look at my car and left it over night. I called them back at 4, the same day per their request, and they told me to call back in the morning as they havent looked at it. I called back at 9:30 the morning on the 18th and they told me they couldnt figure out what was wrong with my car.I went to pick it up and while the owner of the business was looking for my keys one of the mechanics admitted that my keys were still in my car because he hadnt looked at it or ran it. When the owner was pulling around my car my mom and I got into a conversation with the mechanic who was supposed to work on my car and he said he had worked for Ford for 20ish years but he never got the chance to work on/look at my car.I did end up getting into an altercation with the owner because they had my car for 19ish hours and he claimed he couldnt figure out what was wrong with my car unless I took him to the gas station with me to see the problem, which doesnt really make much sense seeing how I explained the problem multiple times.I did make a comment about Trump not winning as I walked out and the owner ended up opening the door after I left and said something to my mother and I that alluded to him calling me R*t*rdrd which is not a slur that needs to be used so loosely especially by a business. My mom was also sitting in the parking lot on a work call and the owner came out to move a car and was inaudibly yelling things at her.This is all around simply unprofessional and unacceptable, especially for a business owner to treat someone this way.

They got me in right away diagnosed my check engine light I didn’t even charge me. They made me feel comfortable to drive back to Pennsylvania. They were very professional.

I have been a customer for nine years and have never had a problem after the staff has serviced my car or truck. Recently took my truck in for transmission issues that were resolved but they also checked other areas and found that my breaks needed to be replaced. Of course, I wasnt happy at the time but they ultimately saved me money and it always is good to feel safe.

Its always scary to have car troubles on vacation. But Bryant and the guys at HH Auto Techs could not have been more kind, hospitable and honest. We were in and out in less than 2 hours at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

The only thing I can figure is the 5 star reviews are friends and family. They completely did not listen nor fix the issues I told them about but changed filters and suggested new tires. When I called back to complain, they said I was not specific enough about the problem. But if they were unclear, why didnt they ask for clarification? Ive never written a negative review for anyone before, but this place, in my case, completely took advantage of me and refused to recheck my car after I stated AGAIN the problems I was having.

Needed a headlight lamp replaced and a windshield washer motor for my 2004 BMW 3 series. Called when 5 minutes away to ask when I could get in. I drove it right over and had them drop me off for golf. The car was finished after golf. Competent, pleasant and prompt service at a reasonable price.

I do not write a whole lot of reviews, but these guys deserve one. I’m am in no way related to any one here, but I have certainly made friends. These guys are unbelievably helpful, and very professional. I am on vacation with my family, when a mysterious metal to metal noise began coming from my vehicle. Nervous about a break down while driving home over 1,000 miles through mountains and with 3 children, my wife and I decided to have this looked at.I am always a little hesitant about out of town mechanics (bad past experiences), but this company had pretty solid reviews, so I gave them a call. They took the time to listen to my issue over the phone, and got me a quick appointment. I arrived with my vehicle and once again my story (as silly as it may have sounded) was patiently heard, and taken seriously. One of the mechanics got into my vehicle and tried to recreate the issue. He even called me outside while he was driving it around the lot, to see if he was hearing the noise that I was. We were able to recreate the noise, and he brought it in to take a look. Before I knew it, there were 2 mechanics checking it out. They did not mind that I was outside of the garage door watching (which most mechanics seem to not like). These guys were very thorough, determined to make sure that my noise wasn’t anything serious.After looking at everything that they could, tightening and making a few necessary tweaks, they wanted me to take it for a spin, and see if I heard the metal noise. Sure enough, it was still there. Not comfortable with letting it go with me, they politely asked if I could leave it with them for the day to dig deeper. I was even given a ride back to my condo, so that I could continue enjoying my vacation.A couple hours past, and I got a call. They were positive that they had pin pointed the noise. It wasn’t anything major, but it was a simple enough fix. I was given the procedure and the cost to fix it (which was reasonable), so I gave the go ahead. Toward late afternoon I got another call that the fix didn’t go exactly as they thought (actually my fault, because of an after market upgrade on my vehicle), but they were able to eliminate the noise using another method. I was able to get a ride to pick up my vehicle, and they even waited around for me after close. It was very important for the mechanic to talk to me, and share what he found, and what he did to fix it. They told me, if I heard it again, bring it back, and they’ll make sure that the fix stuck, although they were pretty certain that it would. As for what it cost, they were SUPER fair.Needless to say, I am beyond impressed. It’s safe for me to say that this is hands down, the best mechanic shop that I’ve ever dealt with. My only disappointment is that they aren’t closer to my home, so that I can bring anything else that I need worked on to them. I highly recommend these guys. It should be obvious of that, as I’ve taken this much time just to share my experience.

I have been using this company for about a year after a friend recommended them. I switched from another local company I had used for years. i found they have become over priced so switched and have been happy with the results of better prices and good work done.

Dont go here...low quality parts and they dont know how to do any repairs properly....5 times in the shop and still not right. Beware!! And they are thiefs, stole fuel out of my truck and cut my antenna cable.

Cant say enough about these guys. The best experience. The owner Bryant is a credit to Hilton Head and all qualified and honest mechanics everywhere. Vacationing in Hilton Head with my family and our van broke down around 4:45pm. Having four young kids (all under 6) we were at a loss of what to do and who to call first. Panic set in. We were supposed to be checking out of our hotel and heading home the next day. We called Auto Techs and our insurance company and a taxi. Getting the run around with insurance about getting the van towed (said it would take 45 minutes to an hour for a tow), while managing 4 restless kids in the heat of summer... Auto Techs Bryant said where are you? Ill be right there. 10 minutes later hes diagnosing my van in front of me. The tow truck arrived 25 minutes later. Bryant stayed with us the whole time and gave us all a ride back to our hotel before the taxi could even get there. He had our vans parts ordered that night and had us fixed up and ready to go by noon the next day. He was a real life saver and we owe him a debt of gratitude. He is a shining example of how we should all strive to treat each other every day. Thank you Bryant!

I am so happy I found this auto shop!!! I broke down in my car and the owner and his wife saw me and walked from their home to help me. He checked my car out and let me know I had gas with some trash in it and not to worry. He then told me to stop by his shop the following day and he would give me something to help clean it out. It doesnt get more honest or kind than this! I HIGHLY recommend them for anything you need for your automobile. There are not many people like this anymore and I am so grateful I broke down and found them!

The dealer was going to charge me $1200 for some work concerning a leaking air conditioner. Auto Techs fixed the problem for $200. They are always looking for ways to save you money while doing a first class job of repairing you car. They should be your first choice for any repair work including oil changes and tires.

Finding a trust worthy and honest repair shop in your home town can be tough enough, but finding one on vacation for a major repair is almost impossible! Found them in 2015 for a check-up and used them in August on 2016 for a complete AC Compressor, belt, idler, evaporator, refrigerant replacement. Done very reasonably, with good discussion, and they dropped me off at the Condo. Bryant, Chris, and TJ are great people. New friends on HHI!Mark A. Voelker

My rear window was smashed in Atlanta by an intruder. Went to the dealer and was quoted over 500.00 for the work and it would take a week to repair. Bryant and Chris ordered the window, came in the next day and it was finished for less than a half of what it was going to cost me at the dealer. 😀

Worst service ever...went to get my Jeep timed and it took the 6 tries before I said enough was enough. They also use very low quality parts when I had my brakes done on my truck....BEWARE!!!!

I recommend you not go there I took my car there to get a oil leak fixed and spark plugs done and spark plug wires later on that day I took my car to Advance Auto Parts to get the codes from the engine light and one of the codes were from cylinder 3 I call them to see if they can check on the spark plugs that they replace and they told me its $100 to come back in for them to check it and I just paid $750 to their shop and my oil in my car still leaks so I wasted $750 and had nothing fix Im pissed I wont recommend no one to go there
