It took a while for me to find a comfortable fit for a bike due to an old wrist injury. Chuck was very patient and took his time helping us even though he was busy. He let us know we could reach out if we needed any assistance when riding. Chuck was the friendliest person we met during the week and we will definitely rent from Island Life Bike Rentals the next time we visit!

Island Life Bike Rentals was just steps away from where we were staying. Chuck was very helpful--he took the time to make extra certain that our bikes were adjusted properly. A lock came with them. He also gave us great recommendations for biking outings in the area. We had the bikes for three days and the only regret is that we didnt rent them earlier in our stay. Excellent service. Third experience renting from Island Life!! Great service, very friendly and they go out of their way to please their customers! Very comfortable bike seats, great bikes! Chuck and Ben make a great team at their 36 South Forest Beach walk-up location! So much fun to rent from them! Last Thanksgiving my family also rented at the walk-up location at 1 South Forest Beach and rode our bikes back down the beach to the Sonesta Resort beach access point when we were staying in Shipyard Plantation.

Great prices for 1 day, 3 day or all week rentals. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They adjusted seats for everyone and made sure the bikes were comfortable. They provided locks and great tips on where to ride during the week. After hours drop off available.

We rented our bikes from Island bike rental across from the Ocean Oak resort. We rented the bikes from Chuck and he was great! He took good care of us and was a pleasure to work with. I would definitely go back again because of the customer service Chuck provided. He really made you feel welcomed.

Agree with all the positive reviews. We decided last minute to rent 7 bikes (2 adult and 5 kids) for the last 3 days of our trip after watching everyone else riding on the beach. We were able to walk right up at 9am, get fitted, and were off in 10 minutes. Bikes were in great condition. Staff were very friendly. Easy access to the beach.

We started only renting two bikes from them as we brought all we could carry on our car. They were quick and helpful and super convenient. Friendly, helpful, and quick to make adjustments. We made over 4 different requests from Island Life Bike Rentals during a 2 week stay. They were very fast and friendly about changing the reservation to get smaller bikes when we realized that the bigger ones wouldnt work for some people in our group. They even delivered us a last minute requested umbrella. They were always very clear on delivery timeline. Very easy to just call and get what we hoped for. Great experience. We felt the prices were reasonable and the bike, umbrellas and beach chairs were of great quality. We had a small problem with the pole on one of the umbrellas, but they took care of it very quickly and re-delivered a new replacement. We used their drop-off and pick-up service and it was a breeze. Communication was awesome too, which is in short supply at some places these days. Emails, text msgs and the 2 times I had to call the shop (I forgot my lock codes and the umbrella mentioned above) - all resulted in excellent communication and service. Nice job and thank you.

My family of four had a great experience from start to finish with a daily rental from Island Life. Prior to arriving Id spoken to them and got a good feel on what to expect in regards to bicycle rentals on the island. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and the bikes were quickly sized and provided so we could go explore the island. Locks provided with the codes texted to us. The return process was also quick and super easy. Ben and Chuck took great care of us and also provided us with recommended routes across the island. The shop is also located in a great spot on the island with nearby parking and easy access to explore various parts of HH.

In searching for bikes for 4 of us for the week I found Island Bike Rentals to be very cost effective and included delivery to our condo. We actually liked that our bikes were a different color then all the red and black bikes on the racks. It made them easy to locate on a busy beach afternoon! I was even able to add an extra bike to our order and they kindly honored my original booking price which I was really thankful for! I would use this company again.

Amazing service! We had our bikes delivered to our vacation home and then picked up the morning we left. No hassles.

Our bikes were delivered to our front door and we received a code to open the locks at the same time. The bikes were comfortable and easy to ride. The baskets made it easy to carry phones, water, beach towels, etc. Riding the bikes to the beach, to shopping, to restaurants, etc made our vacation so much more memorable. I love how Hilton Head provides a bike/walking path throughout the entire island and you can ride your bike literally anywhere you need to go. We will definitely rent from Island Bikes again. This is the send rental from them. They always seem to have a ton of people waiting. They retrieve the bikes from where you are staying, which is a nice service, and the bikes seem well maintained, a little old, maybe, bit work well.

Second year booking with them for our extended family HH week at the beach. They have plenty of inventory now the busy summer season has concluded. What they are short of is staff to work the different walk-in locations ... so no home delivery (thank you Federal government.) Best price around.

I ordered bikes for myself and family while staying in Shipyard. Bikes were delivered as promised and were waiting for us when we got to our rental home. Of course my 8yo grandson immediately wanted to go for a ride. My 2 yo grandson was not a fan of the baby seat on the back of the bike so called to see if I could swap for a pull along cart. He said give us a few minutes to ck bikes coming back In and they would let me know if they had one. They Immediately called and text me to let me know that they had one, delivered the bike and swapped out with the bike with the car seat. Excellent service! They dropped off, they picked up, they swapped out the bike for me. I will definitely use them again!

My mother was not able to ride a traditional bike so they traded it out for the trike at no extra charge. We had the absolute best time renting bikes with Island Life Bike Rentals! The pick-up site was right down the street from our condo rental and they were extremely accommodating with pick-up and drop-off times. We got a kid seat for our 16-month old and our favorite thing to do was ride on the beach with her! The bikes were in great shape and so comfortable for cruising around the island. This was the second year we have used Island Life and once again, they were great. We had a problem with one of our bikes and they had us a new one in less than a couple of hours. It was on a Sunday and was impressed that they were able to get it there quickly.

We did contact Island Life because our emailed lock code didnt work but we were giving the right code quickly and the employee was very helpful. We rented one bike with a kid seat and one bike with a kiddie trailer. The guys were super friendly & helpful! I didn’t rent from Island Life as the house we rented came with bikes, but while out on a ride, my chain slipped off. Island Life was the closest bike rental shop, so I walked there where Jeremy and Chuck went above and beyond to help me out. The fact that it wasn’t one of their bikes didn’t matter to them as they were happy to just help me out—even telling me that they would loan me one of their bikes to use if they couldn’t fix my chain and I needed a way to get back. Can’t thank these guys enough for their outstanding service, and I know where I’ll be renting from next time I need a bike!

We arranged delivery and pick up. the bikes were ready when we arrived. We unfortunately forgot our daughters helmet. We stopped by and Chuck and Kayden took care of us. Excellent customer service. Our rental experience with Island Life was seamless. The bikes were delivered to our rental at 11am on the first day on our rental period, and we had no issues with the lock or bikes which were perfect for exploring the beach at low tide and the various bike paths. We would definitely rent from Island Life again in the future.

Should be a 5/5 review but only gave a 4/5 because the worker who was taking payment was very unfriendly and took away from the experience. Otherwise the worker who fit us for our bikes had a great personality, he made made atmosphere fun and very attentive (made sure we were completely comfortable with out bike positionings before we left). I would highly recommend renting bikes while in HHI!
