Fun place! Stores, a cafe and the ice cream factory. Had to go because we heard so much about it and it didnt disappoint. Also, a good tip is that the ice cream factory is in the other side of the cafe. So drive to the far end of the parking lot to have a shorter walk

How best to signal you’ve vacation in Hilton Head than getting a few t shirts from Salty Dog, and then celebrate your hard work with an ice cream. Well, you can. And you should.

Great experience. Staff were friendly and very quick to get orders out, even for more complicated requests. Menu was diverse in terms of both toppings and flavors, and tasted awesome. This may be the highest quality ice cream I have ever had at this price range. My personal recommendation is a traditional strawberry scoop, however friends have told me the mango smoothie was amazingly tasty. Overall great experience!

The cake batter ice cream will always have a special place in my heart. When I visit, its a tradition to test out the different flavors each night and they never disappoint. Super friendly staff and good quality options.

The ice cream was good, not great. Red velvet had almost as much cake mixed into it as it had ice cream. Nice outdoor seating area right next to The Salty Dog Cafe and a few souvenir shops. There is a small playground for little ones right across from the Ice Cream Factory.

The ice cream is way better than the food! My wife and I got the cake batter ice cream. She got it with sprinkles and I got mine with hot fudge. Note: the cake batter already comes with sprinkles in it.

My Husband and I enjoyed our lunch time here. We had a great server! Try their specials for a amazing price. The bar drinks are on the expensive end. I had a long island which cost me $12 and was a small size drink.

Unusual delicious flavors! I had a cup of cinnamon graham cracker, and they also had dairy and gluten free options for the food sensitive customers.

Convenient walk-up window to get the kids ice cream. It was a little too crowded for my comfort level during COVID-19 in April 2021 but that was not the shops fault. Just an FYI if you have unvaccinated kids and are still trying to be cautious.

A classic place to go. The mahi mahi sandwich with some iced tea is simply the best combination. Be aware that this place is usually very crowded, so arrived not to hungry and be patient. It worth it!

Flavor of the Day the other day was Kethup and Mayo...didnt try it but all of their other home made flavors are awesome. Definitely a HH South Beach classic.

The best ice cream at the beach! Also have the coolest parrots that sit outside the restaurant. A cool little place that you walk around and shop while being in the inner coastal waterway.

After a just okay dinner, I was nervous to try their ice cream we had been hearing so much about. However, I absolutely LOVED the ice cream! It was a bit thicker than regular ice cream and I loved it. Creamy and delicious!

Lots of different favors available from classic chocolate to cheddar cheese (I thought it would be gross, but it was surprisingly good!). The cookie dough and mango were tasty as well. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the Harbor Town area. They also have a free water refill station.

I didnt visit the ice cream place, it was actually the Salty Dog restaurant. Love love this place!

Oh yeah.....love their icecream. Sometimes crowded during tourist season. Great cones and sundaes. Parking in rear, ocean in front. T-shirts available upstairs. Youll enjoy it.

The ice cream base is homemade which is great because it is soy free. We had soy allergies in our family. We often make ice cream at home and this place tastes just like what we make which is awesome. It is a place we now know we can go while we are out and about and do not have to worry about allergies. The staff was very friendly. We had the mint chocolate chip with Oreo and the plan old chocolate ice cream. The chocolate ice cream had a pudding taste which was really nice. We will be back

Restaurant was very busy but we were able to get a table quickly. Music that night by a guitar player named Trevor was fun. Had the over priced $32 crab boil which waitress said was enough for 2 people to share...sadly it was not

The oreo ice cream was great years ago but havent had it since.Had the smores ice cream recently and it wasnt good at all.And I love smores ice creamAnd its wayyyyy overpriced.$5 for a scoop of ice cream.Absolute joke.I will not return

This is the second year weve gone to the Salty Dog. Last year the service was slow, food pretty good. Thought we would try again because it seems to be a popular place. The only thing good about this year was the atmosphere. Service was slow again. The food was not worth the price. Wont be returning. There are alot of restaurants right outside the Sea Pines gate that have better quality food at a lower price.

If youre in Hilton Head, you have to visit the Salty Dog!

Great place to get some ice cream. Theres are rocking chairs to enjoy while eating, or its nice to walk along the boardwalk. Parking is difficult to find, so its best to bike there. The selection isnt going to be what youd find at a chain ice cream place, but they have a good variety.

The ice cream here is great. I enjoyed the mint chocolate chip with a waffle cone. My daughter had the cotton candy flavored ice cream and she enjoyed it as well!

I’m not even a big ice cream fan but their ice cream was incredibly good. Super smooth texture and creamy taste similar to frozen custard. Salty Dog Cafe is always a place we have to visit when in town and now we will have to always get some ice cream here too.

Great frozen treats here and many options. The key lime pie ice cream is my favorite - very rich and flavorful. Their mango sorbet is refreshing on a hot day if youre looking for a lighter option. Every time Ive visited, the staff has been friendly as well.

Nice place to go for dinner, or just drinks, or even just ice cream.with kids. Can be crowded though. There is also some shopping. Beautiful view as well.

Okay restaurant with pretty good food but I think its overpriced. Mainly go for drinks at the outside bar. Its a nice crowd & everyone seems very friendly. Met a lot of nice people there that were also on vacation.

Several of us got different flavors and all were good. Nice shaded areas with rockers and benches to sit down and relax. People were fast, nice and ice cream was better than expected.

Chose it for its high rating for ice cream. Unfortunately it was so incredibly crowded and lacked clear signs that we didnt bother staying. If you are looking for the most touristy of tourist destinations then this is the place for you. Its loud, outside, and feels chaotic. Our group opted to leave before we really even attempted to try to find the ice cream.

I tried the Horchata sorbet and the Oreo. Horchata had spot on flavor and a good consistency. The Oreo tasted more like an Oreo than any other Oreo ice cream that I have had before. The ice cream portion was chocolate, but it tasted more like the cookie than traditional chocolate ice cream.

Steamed shrimp is on point. The fish and chips was amazing, as was the bbq pork sandwich. Nice to sit on the dock and enjoy the view.

The prices are a bit high, but so is everything here, if there is more than one of you, just buy some ice cream from a store, unless you havent had it before. The ice cream is good and creamy, and its made there! But, its filling! Good overall
