Captain Kaleb and his assistant Ty made our boat adventure amazing!!!!! Both were so friendly and went over and beyond for my daughter, niece and myself. They showed us islands, took us there to shop around, take pictures, sight see and told us all about the history during our whole trip. They gave the information to extend our happiness at these places for the following days ahead. ☀️They helped us get brochures and they even stopped so we could see the dolphins 🐬 🤩 What an experience we will never forget. Trip was perfect! Captain JC told us lots of great nature facts, found dolphins and an otter 🦦 and gave us a long time on the sandbar. Never saw so many starfish!!!! You have to visit the vanishing island tour.

We did the 7 hour low country day. It was amazing and I will do it every visit. Captain Brian was so knowledgeable about the history of the island, dolphins, and other wildlife. He had a great plan based on how the tide was. We saw a lot of dolphins, tubed, dock jumped, did some kayaking, ate a great lunch on the island, and went to the sandbar looked for starfish and sand dollars. I had 5 teenage boys with me so tubing, kayaking, and dock jumping were their favorite activities. The adults requested the dolphins and sandbar. The best part of the 7 hours is you get to pick the activities.

Our 2 hour kayak tour out of Shelter Cove with Outside was fantastic. Our Guide Helen was professional and fun. She made us feel safe with her instruction and knowledge of the water and equipment. It was so nice seeing the island from a different perspective and it really is the only way to experience the wildlife by being in their world. Thank you Outside for your care of the environment and ways you engage people.

Went here because they seem to be the only ones that take young children (age 3&6). Turns out this place is awesome and the people are even more awesome. Next time we come here we will definitely be going here again!

This tour of Daufuskie Island and everything in between was truly rewarding. Our guide not only pointed out significant points of interest, he knew the history behind them. He was very friendly with a very upbeat spirit. I felt as if I were important. Highly recommended!

We did the Outback kayak trip with CC and it was so much fun! Captain Pete gave us a ride and history lesson On the way to Page Island. We set off from there kayaking to Daufuskie Island. It was a good hour and a half of kayaking, but the scenery was beautiful! When we were finished exploring, Captain Pete picked us up again and we headed home. On the way seeing a dolphin! Such a fun time!

We saw many Dolphins on the Dolphin Eco tour and were allowed to bring drinks and snacks. Captain Dan was the best. Very knowledgeable and chill.

We enjoyed our trip to Page Island, which is one of a group of islands owned by Outside Hilton Head. Our tour guide Nick did a fantastic job of spending time with us and making sure we saw all the wildlife there was to see in that area. Nick was simply terrific. Our only issue was that my wife and I are serious paddlers. Weve kayaked all over the western hemisphere, we own several boats, and were pretty serious birders. The day we went was very windy and prevented any sane paddler from paddling on Broad creek. We should have been warned by the salesman at the front desk that the wind forecast for that day might make kayaking unrealistic. Instead, he simply took our money without telling us about the wind forecast. Nick made the most of what could be done, by using the tour boat to get us close to many birds, some of which we had never seen before. The Oyster Catchers were particularly interesting for us. Thanks to Nick, we had a good time, though others in our group were disgruntled and radioed in for a boat to come out and take them home. So be forewarned: if the wind forecast is above 10 knots, you wont be able to paddle and no-one will tell you that.

My son treated me to a kayaking experience with Outside Hilton Head. Kevin was our guide. I had never been on a kayak before, so I was a little apprehensive while at the same time excited to try something new. Kevin was encouraging and patient with the group. We had three or four planned stops during our excursion in which he pointed out landmarks, shared some history, explained something about the ecosystem, or told a story. Kevin chatted with his guests and was open to questions. The two-hour adventure was great fun. Being out on the water was peaceful and the nature that surrounded us was beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and hope to do it again.

Outside Hilton Head was just what we needed to take a break from the stress of the world right now. They assured us (and we saw) that the equipment was sanitized and safe for us to used. We booked a 2 hour Kayak tour and were lucky to have Alex as our guide. Alex goes above and beyond explaining about the wildlife, tides and history of the area and takes the time to answer all questions during some paddle breaks. She is an expert on the water and knows where and when to go to certain spots for vantage points. It was the best 2 hours we have had in months....being out on the water, having fun, relaxing, learning and having Alex and the staff at Outside ensure us a perfect day was EVERYTHING.

We had a fantastic private dolphin tour with Captain Andy. We will absolutely use Outside Hilton Head again.

Jessica was our guide and she did a great job. Offered to take everyones picture on her phone and then sent it to us. This was great as I wanted a pic of my wife in the Kayak and I left my phone in the car. Also, we were very excited to see multiple sightings of Dolphins feeding and birds feasting on small fish. Great trip!

My family and I went on the 2 hour guided kayak nature tour and loved it. Bridget was our guide and she shared her knowledge and love for her native Hilton Head. The kayaking was fun and a good workout. We saw a variety of birds, lots of oysters and crabs and the highlight of our trip was a beautiful dolphin. The dolphin swam all around us and between our kayaks and was so close that we were able to hear him breathe (you can see it swimming between my daughter and I in the photo). We went in August and I would advise taking an early morning trip before it gets too hot.

Our family went on 1.5 hour Dolphin Eco Tour. Our boat captain Nick was very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. We saw at least 5 dolphins and learned so much about Hilton Head’s geography and history.

Our family of five loved paddle. Our guide Sean was well versed, kind and made tge experience great. Shelter Cove is easy accessible and clean as always!

We did the three hour family ski trip with Captain Mick. It was SO much fun- we tubed and water skied. He knows so much about the area and we learned a lot. It is worth the money.

Our guide, Wesley, was knowledgeable about kayak fishing and where to go.We caught several large Reds which were a great fight. On top of it, he is a nice guy! We look forward to our next trip with him.

Definitely the best on Hilton Head Island! Captain J.C took us on a trip of a lifetime on the Ultimate 5 Hour Lowcountry Day packed with a trip to a private island, tubing, fishing, crabbing, anything you wished for was on command. Recommend this activity for anyone traveling to HHI for sure!

What a great experience with a great Captain. CJ was lots of fun. Full of History and fun facts. He was able to incorporate tubing in our 5 hr Ultimate low country tour. With an eye for Dolphins and pit stops at Vanishing Island and private island for pier jumps, lunch, and swimming . Our trip couldnt have been better. Wonderful guided kayak tour with Jessica pointing out the ecosystem, wildlife some island history. It was hands on, literally feeling the mud in the oyster flats and watching them spit. It was even more than I had hoped for.

Our 1.5 hour trip was amazing! We had the best Captain (Grant). We saw dolphins, birds, and learned so much about Hilton Head. It was the best. The boat was super cool! We would do it again.

I decided to try the kayak fishing excursion because it seemed to be the most cost effective way to fish at Hilton Head island and I wasnt disappointed. I am an amateur fisher and wound up catching six fish along with two keepers. My guide Wesley was professional extremely helpful knowledgeable and courteous. Things were a little slow early so he hooked a fish then let me bring it in. We caught red and black drum fish. I would definitely recommend this for individual or pair. If there were three Id probably go with a charter. Really really fun!

We had a great time on our two hour tour. My wife and I had double kayaks with a child in each. They didnt help paddle but it was still easy to navigate and not strenuous. Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. Our family has been coming to the island for 10 years now and I learned a lot of stuff I didnt know beforehand. It was a great tour that was not too short and not too long. We saw several pods of dolphins while we were out as well. I would definitely recommend this tour and would do it again.

We had a terrific time on the Kayak tour of Broad Creek. Our guide Carly was very knowledgeable about the ecosystem of the salt marsh and the wildlife we encountered. We saw a manatee, dolphins, and many different species of birds. We are looking forward to renting kayaks from Outdoor Hilton Head again.

I had such a great experience on my first kayaking tour! The guide was knowledgeable, supportive and patient.

I am on my boyfriends 17ft boat in small side creek on broad creek fishing. This boat comes flying by going WAY too fast for this small creek and we are waving our hands to make sure he knew we were anchored in the middle of this small creek. They continue their speed with their passengers in it all laughing assuming their captain made a snarky remark like we were doing something wrong. They could have easily hit us and for a second I thought he was about to as well...my dog is on board can’t imagine how I would be with a small child on board. This ruined our day out on the boat and scared away any possible fish in this small creek. I’m disappointed in this company and how they mock other boaters. I will be telling people not to use this company and be discouraging others to stay away.

My wife and I did the Introduction to Stand Up Paddle board. It was an outstanding experience. Neither of us had every done any SUP before, but both had a great time. Fun and enjoyable. Charmaine was an excellent instructor, very experienced and knowledgeable. Her expert guidance had us out on the water in enjoying the day without any issues.Outside Hilton Head continues to run a truly first class operation- best on the island!

We rented 2 bicycles from this establishment. One had a loose chain which caused my younger brother to wreck and both had loose handle bars! I called in asking for replacements to be brought to us. We sat in the sun for 2 hours before I called to find out the lady iIspoke with never dispatched anyone to bring us new bikes. 0 stars. Terrible service. Will definitely be expecting them top to bottom IF we ever rent from this establishment again.

THIS IS NOT WHERE YOU GO TO RENT BOATS BY THE WATER. Learned that the hard way when everything we searched brought us here. Instead, search for “Outside Hilton Head Activity Outpost” or Ela’s restaurant, which will put you right on the water, and right beside it is a brown canopy where you’re able to rent all sorts of boats, tours, and whatever you like. We had a great time, even coming across a few dolphins.

I walked in and was refused service for not wearing a mask. I went and dropped $150 on shirts at another nearby store who respects people’s rights.As a small business owner I find the mask policies ridiculous and discourage anyone to shop at stores that have policies that discriminate for any reason.

I went on a guided tour with Alex. She was so knowledgeable! I saw manatees, dolphins and all types of birds! I highly recommend Outside Hilton Head for all of your outdoor adventures!

My wife and I had a great morning with Nick as our guide. We signed up for a 2 hour kayak tour and we were the only ones that showed up. Unexpectedly we had a private tour. Being a history buff, we truly appreciated Nicks knowledge of the areas Eco system and its origins. His tour was both informative and inspirational. This was one of our best tours. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and history

The absolute worst paddle boarding experience ever. I asked if it was safe to bring a 10 year old with me and they said yes. It is windy though is what they warned. They did not tell us to beware of oyster shells or Low tide or to stay away from the edges. So after 10 mins my board got stuck and I lost my balance and fell onto a huge Oyster patch. I got back onto my paddle board that was now covered in blood and started yelling for my 10-year old to stay away from the area and try to wave someone down for help. It took 20 mins before she found a sweet Kayaking couple who went with her to find me at this point I was pushed back 200 feet into some grassy area with no paddle. They pulled me out and finally after 40 mins a tour guide was with a group and called for a boat to get me. They wrapped my leg, told me to see a doctor ASAP and that they would only change me for one hour of paddle boards and not charge me for a rescue and they were sorry nobody on their team warned us. Nobody made sure we got home okay, called to check on us but they made sure they got their money. please beware using this company for paddle boarding!!!!

We went on both the Savannah Port tour and Savannah Outback with Captain Pete. He was extremely well versed in history, wildlife and ecosystems as well as being an excellent captain. He kept us entertained and informed.GREAT trips.

We tried OutsideHH and LiveOAC - there is no comparison go to Live OAC. It took us an hour to get out on the water with Outside HH - and the team was unprepared. They hadnt cleaned anything and the entire experience with Outside HH was not good. It is run by kids who arent capable. We spent way to much money for a really poor experience. A few days earlier we went with Live OAC - and out kids loved it. It was amazing, easy and so much more fun - unfortunately they were fully booked when we tried again.

Went on a kayaking tour, and it was one of my favorite parts of our vacation! There were many beautiful sights and our tour guide, Jean, was fantastic! I got a lot out of the experience and I learned a few things along the way.

I would suggest Outside Hilton Head for anyone looking for a up close tour of the waters around Hilton Head. My wife and I did the afternoon Dolphin and Eco tour with Captain Wells and had a blast. Capt. Wells was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.Will definitely be going back next time!

My sister and I went on the Dolphin Eco Tour leaving out of Palmetto Bluff on Tuesday morning. We loved our cruise through the May River and adjoining waterways. We saw many dolphin as soon as we boarded the boat. Captain Duke was an excellent guide, full of interesting and amusing stories about the local wildlife and historic islands along the way. A fun adventure for all ages. I highly recommend it!

Boat was super nice, staff was super friendly, and we had an amazing time. Another boat rental company bailed on us(one day before my 5yr olds birthday party). Outside saved the day for the family and friends who all came to town for the boat trip. We rented a party boat for 9 people, with 1 days notice, the boat was very comfortable and had nice new leather and we had a fantastic trip around the low country water ways! We did a little fishing too, but only small fish were caught from the river.

Mark was extremely helpful with me in finding a pair of boots I really wanted. It is very hard finding the Salomon boots being sold in stores or outlets unless it is a Salomon outlet itself. This was the only place I wouldnt have to drive 3 hours to to get them, only a 30 minute drive. As I said Mark was very kind, professional, and if I decide to get a different type of Salomon boots he said he would be willing to order them to the store and get them for me with 2 day shipping, but I was very happy with the boots I did acquire because most Salomon boots are pretty top. Thankyou again Mark.

I took 5 of my children on a 3 hour Family Ski Day and we had a BLAST !!!! (unfortunately, the ski boat regulations allows only 6 passengers, so 2 of our family had to stay on shore). Marcus was our captain and he helped us novices knee board, water ski and tube, as well as have an AWESOME time. My only regret is that we didnt reserve the boat for a longer trip. This outing was a highlight of our vacation and we would definitely recommend this (and Marcus) to families looking for a great boating experience!

My boyfriend and I stopped in OHH over this past summer to grab some items for our paddle board excursion. We were helped by a very knowledgable and friendly sales person (Im sorry, I dont remember his name!). He was educated not only on the product carried in the store but also about the HH area and adventurous things we could do while in town. Very impressed by the service and welcoming staff here. Kindness goes a long way! The store itself also carries a great variety of outdoor gear and quality brands. We will be back next time we are in town! Thank you, OHH!

First time on a dolphin cruise. Our guide was very friendly, knowledgable and patient. Couldnt have had a better experience. The captain kept an eye on the incoming bad weather to help insure our safety and to gage our enjoyment of the tour. A true MUST do.!.!. Wait.. My wife and I did the Daufuskie trip out of Savannah. Worth every penny and Captain John was nothing short of fantastic. An interesting fun trip with a professional and knowledgeable staff.

Friendly staff. Went right to the dolphins! Had to deal with some weather which cut the trip short. They gave us a partial refund without us even asking! Worth doing while on the island.

We chartered an 8hr fishing trip with Outside Hilton Head for our honeymoon. It was spectacular! Our boat captain, Marcus, was not only knowledgeable, but so much fun to fish with. He took us out and we caught our first fish (a barracuda) not even 10 minutes into the trip. We then proceeded to catch 1 flounder, 3 colbia, and 5 Atlantic sharp-nose sharks. It was by far the best fishing trip weve ever taken! The entire 8hrs just flew by. We cant wait to head back to Hilton Head and we will definitely be chartering our next trip with Outside Hilton Head.

Thank you very much to the kind saleswoman who loaned me her umbrella so I could get to my car, where I had 3 umbrellas and 2 rain coats (I wasnt expecting the sudden downpour). Even though I was surrounded by extremely nice outdoor gear, I really didnt want to buy a 4th umbrella. But I will be back to check out your Patagonia bags. My fiancé and I spent a weekend at Hilton Head. Kayaking was one of our first activities. Captain Cawley was our tour guide. He was absolutely amazing! We had so much fun! I can’t wait to go back.

We did the 3 hrs ride to the sand bar at low tide. We took our 4 and 7 yr old and had a blast. Dolphins were everywhere. The sand bar had so many great finds from shells, crabs, jelly fish and even some sand dollars.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time kayaking. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Jeff was an amazing tour guide would highly recommend!

We went to the Shelter Cove Marina and rented paddle boards and a kayak. The service was fast, friendly and informative. Suggestions were made on where to paddle to see wildlife, which we did. The staff was thoroughly knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions. The weather was beautiful which added to our fun.

Great Little outdoor store. Very great customer service and selection of apparel and equipment. However slightly pricey since they priced their items off the suggested MSRP. However that can be expected for a small business especially one located in a resort community. Nice to go there and support small business as well as find a good selection of items that might be hard to find at any other store in town. Good location and worth the drive no matter where you are on the island. They also have some interesting little knick knacks that are locally made and interesting souvenirs for example koozies, wallets, bottle openers, and many others that are high-end made of leather and have stitching design. Would definitely go back again and worth the stop no matter what youre doing on the island. Also very knowledgeable staff if looking to do some outdoor activities in the area. Also very good to see a business that is following up the path of donating so much money to good causes that help the environment intern benefit in their customers and their realm of business.

We have travelled extensively on almost every continent where excursions are a routine element of our itineraries. The kayak trip off Page Island with Jean Fruh, a natural born naturalist, is among the highest quality micro adventures we have enjoyed. We were excited to get out in the marshes but she was even more thrilled to share her boundless knowledge of the complex eco systems that characterize this peaceful part of our planet. On our outbound leg we jokingly asked Jean if she could arrange for both eagle and dolphin sightings and we were magically albeit aciidentally blessed with both and then some. Theres not enough space to list all of what we saw so youll have to go have a look yourselves. OHH is a classy operation. A+ experience.

Do not take the 4 hour fishing charter,, WAY overpriced $465 plus tip, they treat you horribly at the check in counter (all they care about is taking your $$$ and signing waiver), and we got shut out ZERO fish in 4 hours, of which an hour is getting to the open water. captain was definately NOT pleasnt. AWFUL experience.
