Ive tried most pharmacies in Holland and the Meijers 16th St Pharmacy is by far the very best. Why do I say this? They have a terrific staff who are always courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and very business-like. Above all, they are patient and helpful to everyone who walks in - people of color, minority ethnic groups, people with great difficulty speaking, people with mobility issues, etc. The difference between this pharmacy and others in Holland is so striking that I have to assume that the staff must have been trained extensively. I have made so many trips there for myself and other family members and I have never come away with a negative experience. Im aware that buying medicine is not like buying groceries or cosmetics - it is very complicated and regulated. And yet, the staff there always explains things well and doesnt get frustrated with clients who get frustrated and angry.
Checking on hours. Meijer 16th St in Holland has one drive thru open. Second will open soon hopefully.Remodel coming along well. Be sure to admire the new decor not only in the pharmacy but all around the store.May need extra time to find what you want as things have moved. Not all moves make sense, bottle return in back far corner of the store, opposite grocery. Pet supplies no longer near grocery.
Do not have your scripts sent here, they are so rude, Have no concept of common decency, literally zero of these people should have jobs, especially if you have to deal with their pathetic excuse of a pharmacy manager.
If zero stars were an option, I would be selecting this option. I had my doctor office send a script to this pharmacy. Prior to driving 40 minutes to pick it up I called and confirmed it was in stock and would be filled immediately. Upon arrival, I was told the script was not available and needed to be ordered. I at this time requested the script to be forwarded to another pharmacy. It took two requests from a very rude techician but was ensured that it had been transferred. Upon arrival to the transferred pharmacy, I was told Holland did nothing at all. Avoid this pharmacy if you are seeking one with any type of competency.

I was recently in the hospital for early labor and my doctor ordered me a prescription 24 hours before I got out of the hospital to help with my contractions. Once we got out we went to Meijer to get it and they said they had to order it and wouldn’t be ready for another 6 hours. I have to take the medication every 4 hours in order for it to work. So we went back and asked if they had anything there because I can’t go that long without it and the girl goes “oh we have it I’ll get it ready in 15 minutes” this just added more stress to an already stressful situation.

If I could give no Stars I would. Staff is incredibly rude and every time Ive had questions they make it known Im inconveniencing them with their rude, attitude filled, short answers. After talking to their snotty pharmacist (Ashley maybe?) today, we will now solely use Walgreens where customer service has been great.
I started using meijer pharmacy because of it proximity to where I am any given day. They will not fax a request to your doctor but they they will and dont if there is something wrong with the prescription prior authorization, out of stock, any thing the will not contact you or you doctors office. I have very serious issues and need to be on meds I was constantly on meds off meds because they dont do their jobs.
They worked with me and my insurance until we got the best price. Meanwhile I witness the worst customer complaining about pay a $1 copay and verbally abusing the technicians but the staff handled it with Grace. Thanks for being 24 hours!
The monster that checked me out today tama was rude, short, and incredibly unhelpful. It was unbelievably terrible customer service. My family and i will find a new pharmacy to go to.
I have no faith in a place that doesn’t listen to the customer. I was trying to find out if they had my inhaler ready and they told me I had picked it up. I had picked up Flonase....I was looking for a new script for an inhaler, something that they had never filled for me. They tried to tell me I couldn’t get it filled that I had just picked it up. Kept telling them it was new. Talked to three or four different people, then they finally came back with “we haven’t received the script from your doctor”.
So went to buy more Insulin syringes OTC because my insurance company does not cover them and had to verify that I am a diabetic. Seriously, the 2 techs that talked to me first need to take some customer service classes and not be so rude. This world has come to your staff assuming that every customer is using syringes improperly? This could of been handled differently and more professionally. This is why we will not be coming back to Meijer pharmacy and will tell others not to as well.
Slowest pharmacyaround. Makes you sign for prescriptions before giving them to you, and if youre missing something, youve signed for it. Theres nothing we can do.Pharmacist seems irritated when you ask about prescriptions andside effects. Tells me to call my doctor.
Do you want the prescription now?Are you kidding me?Pediatric appointment for a toddler struggling to breathe at 2pm. Faxed prescription no later than 3pm. Showed up at Meijer Pharmacy drive-thru at 5pm! She says, we have a shipment of (your drug) coming in tomorrow but we can still fill your prescription today. If you want it.Would I be at the drive-thru if I didnt want it?!My daughter cant breathe well on her own. YES. I want the medicine that youve had 2 hours to fill, yet now my daughter will wait to breathe until later.She said if I do want it, then I need to come back in half an hour. This drug comes pre-mixed and packaged!!! No measuring or mixing.Im switching pharmacies. This was the last straw.
Absolutely terrible customer service. Wasted a good portion of my lunch just trying to get my birth control and never even got it because they had no idea how to enter an insurance card. Never going there again, west shore is better.
Waited on hold for 25 minutes before I hung up; this is unacceptable. They always seem to be understaffed.
Feb 2019: Editing this to add that we have been too lazy to switch pharmacies, and weve continued to have problems. Three times theyve filled prescriptions for some reason that dont need to be filled. Our doctors office called concerned that we were asking for a refill: newsflash, Meijer, we never asked for a refill. No idea why they tried to fill it again out of the blue. My husband just went in and the same thing happened. They tried to get him to pay for extra meds that we dont need because we never asked for refills and theyre not on auto-refill. My husband said the lady was super rude to him, and I am 0% surprised. It sucks because I have a friend who works here and shes super nice, but whats with the rest of the miscreants??? The reviews for the northside Meijer are even worse. I definitely need to find a different 24 hour pharmacy all together.March 2018: This place is terrible. Ive waited around for prescriptions frequently because they can never get my information right. Every time I show up, they say Im not on file. Every. Single. Time. Now they lost my prescription. Ive overheard the people behind the counter talking about how hungover they are. Real cool, guys. Super professional. I want to stay with a Meijer pharmacy to get the Mperks rewards, but Im going to switch to the other Holland location and see if they are not terrible.
An hour after scrip was to be done, still needed another 30 to get it . Not sure whats worse the laziness or incompetence. Run away if u have sick kids .

I think theyre under staffed but they got my sisters prescription done and found her insurance coverage for her since I didnt have the card. My wait time was 25 mins
Doesnt matter if your doctor calls it in, walks it in, faxes it in, they will have to fill it when you get there so your looking at atleast 30 minutes on a slow day
