The pancakes are really, really good! Had the 2 2 2 2 breakfast and truly enjoyed it. The sausage was also terrific. The breakfast was the perfect size with two bacon, two sausage, two eggs, and two pancakes for 9.99! I ordered my eggs over hard but they were a little closer to over medium. I didnt mind too much but someone else might have sent them back. The service was fast and friendly and she cared for us so much. She also was gracious in bringing us hot syrup for the pancakes.
We went here while on vacation when the Panda Express across the street ran out of food an hour before closing! LolWell it was the best thing that could have happened. Everything was served fresh, hot and fast. The portions are very generous and the prices are great! They make a killer PB and chocolate shake and carrot cake with caramel!!!We loved it so much the we went 2 nights in a row during our stay. By far the shinning star of this place was our sweet server. I regret not catching her name but after just 1 interaction we had she remembered uncle jack and pops and remember what we had ordered previously. She was there both nights on Saturday (9/18) and Sunday (9/19). To the owner or manager, this girl deserves a raise!!! She was genuinely attentive, sweet, personable and very hospitable. Love her!
Very nice employee here. The food was good especially the wings and tots. Not bad on prices and good portions. Will be back for breakfast.
1st visit and very surprised! Cool vintage diner vibe. Excellent service. Well prepared and tasty food! The Moonlite Special Benedict was superb and satisfying. No complaints at all about the steak and eggs either! Healthy portions! The only drawback is the seating. My breakfast colleague and I are both 65 and the booths are tiny...but very, very clean!🌴✌️😎🌴
This place takes you back to the 70s, the Back to the Future and Happy Days feeling. This diner haves friendly and courteous cooks and waiters who seems to work well together, and enjoy their jobs. I ordered the Hungry Man, which was good and affordable. I would recommend travelers to stop here for breakfast.
I really like it here. They were very accommodating even though they were packed! I see why though the atmosphere is great- we were happy to visit. Érica, our server was very friendly and sweet. The manager was overseeing everything, lending a helping hand and just making sure that everything was running smoothly and folks were being helped. The food was great- 4 of us got the hungry man and a couple others got French toast, it was all very good and the building is beautiful. They have pictures of past visitors, Adam Sandler included! That was neat- to dine in where one of my favorite actors of all time, did. I recommend it here oh and they’re really good following Covid guidelines and they don’t exclude you if you don’t have a mask- they just give u one. This is a great place to eat! And they have an activity sheet for the kids. We even used the back and played tic tac toe while we waited for our food. We had fun - nice vibe.
A consistently good (sometimes great) spot for all day breakfast, lunch or dinner. To be honest, I only order breakfast here. Good quality with decent prices.
Food was good but the wait time was ridiculous. We waited over an hour for a basic breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon). People around us ordered after us and they got their food before us. Our waitress was extremely busy, not her fault, but by the time she realized she was bringing out everyone elses food and not ours, it had been about an hour. She did take 2$ off our bill but our experience was already tainted from feeling forgotten. Our waitress was kind but again, just too much of a wait. We saw people come in after us, order after us, and they got their food before us. Anyways, maybe other times are fine we just had a poor experience.
Great tasting food.Service was excellent with funny, friendly waitresses. Will definetely be back
Nice staff food was great this would be my Sunday spot.....
This reminded us of an east coast diner! To start off the staff is phenomenal! We visited this location twice during a weekend. The first server that took care of us Macarena was amazing. Her service, attitude, attention and care were on point. Especially for us being there after 10:30pm and then letting her know that we usually stay late talking and might close it down with her at 2:30AM. The second day we had Bella and she was also Amazing! We did go a bit earlier this time and sat there between 3:30pm -8:30pm and not just her but the other servers and manager were pleasant. Now for the food, if you go here and know diners order the Disco Fries!!! they are banging!!! especially if you have had them in NY, NJ, CT, PA diners. Also a must have is a ice cream shake or sundae.. they are to die for and something that everyone that goes there orders. Besides that anything that we ordered those two days was great. The food was fresh, fast and plenty. I would go here again especially with the service and taste of the food.
Use to be an amazing place, I guess they are under new management and it definitely isnt like it use to be. Had to send me corn beef hash back 3 times. The person I was with finished eating by the time I got my food.
Shake shake shake... Burger, burger, burger, loaded tater tots what could go wrong. This place is consistently good and enjoy every time I go there
Definitely my go to place. Always good service and great food! (And awesome milkshakes)..
My boyfriend ordered the steak well-done and mashed potatoes and vegetables, the steak was so tender cooked just right. My boyfriend ended up ordering it for dinner as well. I got the croissant French toast with Marshall mellow and scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese was very good.
We came here and had thee ABSOLUTE best service. Andrea was so welcoming and attentive(being that the restaurant was packed). Will definitely be back just because of the servers. I would give 10 stars if possible.
Bad service, cold food and very dirty. Sorry but I cannot recommend this diner. Waited 10 minutes before the server Maddy even approached the table and there seemed to be plenty of staff. They seemed to be selectively picking tables as I overheard the waitress discussing it among themselves. Had to wipe the water or soap residue from the silverware. Eggs were fine, hash browns cold, muffin was hard, coffee was OK. I was stepping on what I thought was a spoon under the table, turns out it was a ball point pen. Wish I hadent looked it was filthy everywhere. Not many good American dinners left in Florida. Will not return, sorry.
Been here twice two weeks in row everything has been great so far
A complete South Florida diner experience. The menu is extensive and varied. The food is delicious. The shakes are awesome! It’s a great place.
Great staff.... menu has many scrumptious selections. From burgers to salads... and they serve breakfast all day. The breakfast bowl was delicious... coming back soon!
Been here a couple times throughout the years. Most staff is friendly, it was a bit confusing whether to grab a seat or wait to be seated at the entrance. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable on the menu even though he stated he was new. Great time in delivering food. Tasty, good prices. Typical diner environment. Clean and well kept.
Exceptional service, quality food and great presentation. Our visit was extremely pleasant
Great food. Fast, efficient service. Nostalgic atmosphere. Sheila is a great waitress as well. Will definitely be back
I visited you about 2 years ago while i was in florida THE BEST BREAKFAST IN FLORIDA FRENDLY STAFF AMAZING FOOD if i ever visit agin i will go back to Moonlight Diner Fort Lauderdale
A Blast from the past, my grandparents loved this place, it reminded my grandfather of his early years, milkshakes are like nothing you have ever tasted. Our waiter Janeane was very Nice.
After departing the cruise ship we stopped for breakfast, the food was absolutely delicious.
Great food for a great price. I was in town for 4 days and I ate here most the time. Every meal I had was superb.
The service was great clean environment and the meatloaf was very good...
The food was great. They just seemed a little short staffed. We waited at the the door for 20 minutes to be seated...there were visible open tables...so Im not sure why the long wait.
In the neighborhood and decided to stop in based on the good reviews. It was about 11:30 am so not too busy. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I ordered the corned beef hash and my son ordered the fried steak. We shared a chocolate milkshake. Everything was delicious. I will definitely be back.
Great food, great service. A little cold inside lol
Did not have a good experience what so ever!!!! Will never go there again! For one its very segregated, they seat white people on one side and everyone else on the other side. Insane!!! Then we sat down for 30 minutes and didnt even know who our waitress was. And when we found out. She never acknowledged us only was attending to the white people that came In way after us. Its like we were invisible. Finally another waitress asked if we were ok and I explained the situation and she took our order, another 30 more minutes later our waitress still hasnt acknowledged us, no drinks no nothing. So we left . We wasted one hour for nothing
The food is good for the price, fast service and the shakes are amazing. It gets busy so you have to go early. I definitely will go back
One of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch. Quick and easy
They admitted to being short handed, so it is harder to give a normal review, but the server and the manager were trying to do their best. The reason I gave 3 stars was a little more about the food, which could have been better and was average at best. The decor was kitschy and I say that in a nice.way, as it is a classic 50s style diner.
Yummy food. Decent table service.
Im giving this place 2 stars for the simple fact that they only had 2 items available from the menu. There was a group of us that wanted to try it, but unfortunately could not do to this.
Great food - great service - fair pricing! Always clean & friendly!
Great Service, just a little more food for the money.
This was an awesome experience. Not only is the ambiance amazing inside, bringing you back in years, but the food was great. The staff also was to notch. To many of these old diners are dispersing. It is nice to see one in great condition.
Great food, even better service. We called ahead and said we were in a bit of a hurry and the owner personally accommodated us and made sure everything was taken care of in a timely manner. Love this place!
Service was awesome....and for god sake order the shakes...had one for breakfast....
A nice casual diner in the corner of Andrews and Cypress Creek. It has a 1940-50s atmosphere and decoration. The service was fast and nice. They have breakfast all day, hamburguers, great shakes and desserts. We ordered the onion soup, which was not hot, and hamburguers. The blue cheese one had a wonderful taste, but the patties were quite small and not too thick for the price, compared to other restaurants. I chose a side, but to my surprise, onion rings are $2 more. They did give us a senior discount, though.
Service was great. Food was okay. Prices are decent. Milkshakes are excellent!! Will try the breakfast next time.
Nice place. The food was good and hot, large portion. The patty melt was just a little too greasy.
Good food. Fair prices.
We used to come to this diner under old management. We never had a problem when Terry worked there. He would have the appetizers out within minutes and back to take the order quickly even when it was super busy. Under new management, it took forever even for water. All appetizers and food came out all at the same time with no utensils after 20 minutes. Also, told the waitress we also needed an order to go (3 meals). She gave us a menu and forgot about us for another 20 minutes. This used to be a good place but seems too much for them to handle even with a whopping 5 tables occupied the whole place.
As diners go, there’s nothing special going on in South Florida anymore. Peter Pan has become grungy, Lester’s expanded and lost something in the translation. Duffy’s (not the franchise) suffered quality issues during their brief pandemic re-opening. They have closed. The other local diner options have been lackluster for years. Moonlight is perhaps slightly better but not consistently. It can be a bit dirty (floors/seats/tables)and servers are not old school friendly, which is disappointing. Clear, clean, uniformed, genuine friendliness is part of what can elevate a diner above average. We’ve lost a lot of that in our area. Moonlight serves a function by being open 24 hours and having a fairly varied menu of acceptable food, but nothing there makes you excited about making it a regular stop.
The service was great and very friendly. A true old diner atmosphere
Ordered the biscuits and gravy and didn’t find out the biscuits wouldn’t be done for another 30 minutes after the girl took my order 10 minutes before. If you’re a server you should know what is ready and what isn’t. Also the hash browns are super mushy and not even enjoyable. What happened to this place? Went so down hill.
Nice food all the time. Beautiful staff and the hours are great.
I had the scrabbled eggs with tots, bacon & caramelized onions.... it was delicious.... portions are very large... hot chocolate on a rainy day is a must
Top notch customer service and friendly servers/manager. Great deals, cool and relaxed decor, awesome theme, rewards membership and much more. Whats not to love? Highly suggested!!
Cool place, good food, nice wait staff..
Fresh food. Great service. Loved the bacon cheeseburger and fries.
Excellent French onion soup!!! Very tasty!!!We will definitely visit again when in the area.
This pancakes are great and the grits may need a little salt but are pretty good. Very good eggs. Service a little slow but they do check on you its made to order so expect a wait when its full
Food was good service was okay I was kind of in a rush so I ate my food fast I had an exam
Ive had breakfast and lunch here many times in the past 20 years. Never been in the area at dinner time but pretty sure the whole menu is available. The diner menu has many items to suit your mood. From burgers to eggs and shakes, they give a large serving every time. They even have a Veggie burger :) Sometimes the servers are a little rushed and rude but for the most part, theyre polite and quick to get your food and drinks fast. Im glad this place is around. Its a cool looking box car diner that really gives that diner experience with much better food than any other diner Ive been to. Theres even outdoor, shaded seating. The reason for the 4 star rating is because of the once in a while rude servers but mainly because of a bus person that works there. She looks at me like I killed her cat or something. That or she just hates people. Very uncomfortable. Overall, awesome place!
Wow! Every time i come here Sara makes me feel like family, it’s a shame I can’t give a 6 star review sooo sweet very personable. I come in with my little boy all the time. Always great food that’s icing on the cake. A plus.
I love this place everyone was so friendly and respectful great customer service. I had a birthday dinner reserved for 30 and more then 30 showed up and they sure that all my guest was seated. I really appreciate all the employees..
The service was quick. Food generally is good. I got the breakfast bowl and the tater tots were over done, very brown and crispy for my taste. It would have been much better with home fries. I would like it better if they skipped tables when not busy, they do wear masks😷
I went for breakfast. The french toast recipe needs improvement. It was thick toast with melted butter. It looked as if the chef forgot to dip it in the egg. I sent it back. The second version was dipped, but very fast as the center of the toast was dry and white. Let the toast sit in the egg for a little longer. Service was ok. Good hot sauce. Scrambled eggs were perfect and fluffy.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner you cant go wrong at the Moonlite Diner!Very good food, good size portions, great milk shakes .Fair prices and good services all around great place to eat!!
First time having breakfast at this place, cant say Ill be back for a dine in meal. I may however do a takeout because what we ordered was good. We spent half of our time pushing away flies while we should have been enjoying out breakfast. By the way, we were seated outside and clearly the outside deck seating area was not kept clean. There were cigarette butts and empty coffee cream containers on the ground surrounding the palm tree on the deck. There were tables left unclean with things left from previous guests from the the time we were seated. It is simply not well maintained.
Very good place for breakfast lunch manager was very friendly waitresses were very nice and polite and for me coming from California its really good
Great restaurant, and crew. If you havent been there give them a try, you will be happy you did. Ive been going there for a long time. 🐴👍
