I discovered this place thanks to my girlfriend whos been coming here for some time with her mom. Ever since, it became my favorite spot for breakfast. The people here are so nice and courteous. After a couple of times our servers remember my usual and how I like everything cooked. They are extremely fast and always make sure we have everything we need. Since I started coming here, I havent been to Ihop, Dennys, or other breakfast places. I would definitely recommend this place, you wont regret it.

Out of the ways places... isn’t there a song about that? It’s not often that you find a little breakfast place or lunch place that surprises you. When I first looked on Google maps I saw the review “breakfast is the bomb.” I thought, “well I should probably go here and try it now.” For those of you who aren’t familiar with Hollywood, it’s in the bottom of an office building at 6365 around to the rear. I can’t imagine it’s very new because they seem to have the entire restaurant process down to a science. The staff is unequivocally polite and professional, the portions to me seem to be gigantic, and the quality is exceptional. I highly recommend that you seek out this restaurant and enjoy breakfast whether you’re in town on business, for vacation, or are you just live here. It’s definitely a five out of five. God bless this place and the people that work here. We don’t have many of these left in South Florida and it’s truly a gem!!BTW - ignore the nasty reviews on this place. I’ve reported them to Google. Most of the people who left them never even entered the restaurant. One person complained about the parking and rated them four stars, another never even entered the establishment and rated them one star. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. If you see a Google guide with less than 10 reviews (bad) more than likely they’re just an angry person.
Havent been here in years. Thought wed stop by and had a great late lunch, so much food were not having to cook dinner. Win, win! Well be back.
Really friendly service and great quality food. We usually go to chain places for breakfast but the prices keep going up and the quality does the opposite. We happened across this place and it truly is a hidden gem. The omelettes are very filling and they are very reasonably priced. My husband and I spent $20 for breakfast and that is including drinks. We are low to no carb and they accommodated us on everything. This is our new go to spot. The prices and quality just cant be beat and the servers are very friendly. Its a homey place. Give it a try even if its a challenge to find it ;-)
The food is very home cooked-like. Its cooked when you order. The waitress are always on top of things & very attentive to the customers theyre serving. And I love how they all greet us when we come in. The owner is the sweetest guy & he works there too. He doesnt just stand around or wait for his money. Ive been eating here since I was about 10 years old.
If you are looking for an American Style Cafe, this is it. It’s very homey, no TVs. No Loud Music, sit and enjoy your breakfast or lunch over a nice conversation with your family and friends.
This is a great, local, no frills cafe to have a hearty American meat and potatoes breakfast. Comparable to IHOP or Dennys, but here everyone knows each other and the service is great! Like dining at a friends house. Love coming here when Im on visiting.
All the ladies and folks are really nice here. Its so nice to find a nice normal local Diner. Coffee was served at lightning speed upon my arrival. Its like they know.. Would definitely go back.
Seriously great place for breakfast! Im so glad my husband and I were close by when I searched for a breakfast diner and Taft Street Café appeared .... and with great reviews. Being from NY where they have the best fat, casing covered sausage links, I have searched for years for them down here in south Florida and finally found what are as close to the sausages of my memories at TSC. Keep in mind Im thinking of at least 25 years ago, so idk if thats all changed! At any rate, they get them from Sysco, and in my opinion theres no excuse for any restaurant to use anything other! Especially not the skinny, wrinkly, non-casing, not-great-tasting ones they use. Yuck!Anyway, the breakfast comes with two eggs, two yummy sausage links, potatoes and toast for only $6.00. Theres an option to include coffee and juice for $8.75 but I dont recommend this, unless you like coffee that is not strong (kinda weak, and Ive always wondered why its hard to get a good cup of coffee at a diner???).The service is fast and friendly and the breakfast is awesome! I highly recommend!!

Great food with super quick service. Temperature checks taken at the door and spaced seating in the dinning room. There is no outdoor seating. The place is hard to find and is not advertised on an outer sign visible from the road.

Sunday at the door Waldo waitress was chatting with the customers. Totally ignored until the phone rang and she picked up the phone and answered it and then chose to acknowledge us that we could sit back the chairs while we waited for a table. As customers were getting ready to leave we asked if we could take our order since we had somewhere to be. She never answered up and walked away. Twice I was ignored and was dealt with with rudeness. Horrible dont go

I worked there the boss is cheap he doesnt pay you what your worth the place has roaches none of the cooks where gloves the servers touch your food no gloves that place is nasty and I dont recommend it

The place is great for breakfast and lunch to go grab a bite to eat on weekends. The eggs omelette is excellent and fluffy, the pancake are made from buttermilk so it makes them joy to eat. The waitresses and staff are very friendly to all customers and make sure that your coffee mug is refilled and drinks glass are fill to top. Amazing american dinner, its top of my list to recommend.

Great service, had a bit of a hard time finding it because its tucked away but its cute and the staff were friendly. Sausage gravy had more of a flour taste to it more than anything and i didnt eat it but overall liked it.

I have been going to Taft Street Cafe for practically my whole life on and off they are very clean staff is very courteous and food is delicious would recommend anybody to go check it out as it is a landmark for us that live in the neighborhoods, the only thing they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for there.!

House potatoes coffee soda and the portions are so big. The food is really good. We are far from home but we are planing in coming back.
Been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience here. Food is always hot and what can you say about an owner who higher elderly women. I dont know him and most men love that young pretty waitress but this guy has my respect for not doing this and these women kick butt. There Always talkative and give you friendly service. I dine out everyday of the week and have picked up something because of this. One of my biggest complaints is warm to Luke warm food and one of the reasons the food is always hot is the ladys here support each other. Your food will not set at a window or prep table getting cold because one of them will bring it to you. Unless a restaurant has this kind of support it a miss and hit that your food will be hot.

You would never know this restaurant is here unless you know its there. It does get busy but I think because of the location its more locals and regular people that come in here. The food is similarly priced to ihop or Dennys but better quality. Everything is cooked to order made fresh the staff is friendly and helpful and its a great place to have lunch or breakfast. I think they serve both all day long. Not much else to say its got a hometown vibe at the Taft Street Cafe.

This was a very nice surprise. I had a great breakfast and must advise you to stop by if you are in the area and want to have a home cooked meal. Whether you are by yourself, with friends or family. This cafe is hidden in an office building, Ive passed about a billion times.Thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. I will definitely be going back. The only downside? They close by 3pm. So get in before and enjoy!!!

Usually the place is real good. Our usual waitress wasn’t there. But this time it was pretty bad. The floors were so dirty and the waitress had a huge open sore on her hand handling our plates made me loose appetite for sure I don’t think I’ll go back there. Not to mention she smelled like a pack of cigarettes and the coffee lady had rotting teeth not something you want to see while eating.
I love this place! all the locals know each other. It’s like a huge family gathering up having breakfast and lunch. I do have a favorite waitress! I love them all but Val is amazing! The owner is so kind and always ask how we are doing and always made sure to tell us he would love to see us again. My family and friends I know have been enjoying amazing food for over 20 years! Stop by and enjoy some comfort food and love to go with it :)
I visit this cafe often, two or three times a week. The service is friendly and fast, and the food is consistently Great: to order, hot, satisfying, and excellent quality. These people take pride in what they offer and it shows.
My team and I recently filmed a movie here at Taft St. Cafe in Aug. 2019. The owner Joe was so kind and provided us so much help and hospitality by letting us use his restaurant for 3 days to film the movie. Two of the staff, Valerie & Gail were also really nice to use while there and stayed after hours to watch the place.Joe allowed our film crew to use the restaurant after closing hours and even stayed during the long hours of filming to assist us in anything we needed. He and his team cooked for the whole crew while there, and the food was GREAT!I hadnt previously heard of TSC before, but now that Im aware of it, the food, and how hospitable the Owner and staff are, this place has my highest recommendation!

Just passing through and decided to try this place because of good reviews. Based on the name alone, I expected a street-front diner with a lot of charm. Instead, its located behind a Speedway on the 1st floor of an uninspiring office building.Once inside though, you begin to understand the appeal. The restaurant was packed when I arrived. Even so, I only had to wait a few minutes for a table.They obviously have a strong local following here. The wait staff is hard working and efficient. Many seemed to be relocated New Yorkers, complete with the obligatory attitude... but in a good way. :) Friendly but direct. No fake niceties.Overall, its good food served up quick and at a fair price. Pancakes are huuuuuge! Loved the Elvis pics throughout.If I lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular.

A really nice, home style diner. I ordered a simple burger and fries. The wait staff is really attentive and friendly, and our food arrived quickly. The burger was cooked well, they were generous with the toppings and fries. The fries I ordered extra crispy, which most places seem to have a hard time with, but they cooked them perfectly. If youre looking for some good, old fashioned diner food, you found it.
