Always well-stocked and full of great deals. I dont shop here often but when I do, I find quality products at good prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Service is very professional. Jewel is the neighborhood food store that Chicagoans trust for quality, service and selection.

A neighborhood staple for many years. If you’re looking for food from the ‘hood’, this is the place. You can find greens, catfish, and many other foods that most big box stores won’t carry. Well organized and neat and tidy. Glad to see them hang in there during these different and difficult times. I’m sure the local folks appreciate it.

While the food selection is primarily the same as any other Jewel location, I find this locations checkout lines to be the slowest! No matter the day off the week, time of the day, or part of the year, the lines at Jewel on 183rd and Homewood are always very long and slow moving. Still, Im certain the community members are grateful to have this location open, as apparently, it is very much needed. 3-Stars because of the long, slow moving lines.

This is the best pharmacy. Theyre patient and make every effort to be helpful, including locating a prescription sent wrongly to another store.

Nice employees but at night they have no cashiers only self check out and long lines the girl helping customers check out was extremely slow. Several self check out lanes all needed help and she was not around. I wont shop there at night.

The store was too messy for me. The fruits and vegetables definitely look like they were picked over and it didn’t look like produce was doing their job. It was a lot of Vegetables on the floor, overall I didn’t buy anything because I didn’t see anything that I wanted to get. I went to another Jewel instead. This place Hass to do a little better as far as cleaning is definitely an eyesore.

As usual, Jewel s comes through with those last minute items you need for a great holiday weekend. Not the cheapest around, but a long standing staple in the Chicagoland area.

A very good grocery store with nice scenery the food and items are stack neatly on shelves and the staff are okay people. The deli side is pretty nice service could be a little faster

I Love Shopping at Jewels, One of My Favorite Grocery Stores, many says Jewels is pricey, but they actually do have good sales, just got to go on those days of the Sales, and take advantage of those rewards saving and plan, thats how you save and have a good shopping experience at Jewels.

The workers are nice and helpful also the store is nice and clean just like shopping there.

Good store with a wide variety of products that are affordable. Jewel-Osco had brand from my youth as a place to shop. Now that it is a part of a larger entity quality remains. Every once in a while, the Monday special at the deli counter calls my name and always delivers.

Acknowledge people when youre busy. Let them know up front. Dont have someone waiting and you see them waiting and not say one word. Rude. Or you acknowledge one person and not the other. So disrespectful!

I been here many times and always disappointed. Even before Covid, their customer service lack and the store itself is so outdated. It’s in a beautiful town but not a beautiful store.I came here last Saturday to buy flowers. The woman cashier was so out of it. The whole transaction was awkward. I only brought three things and she took forever. Then she stopped all of a sudden. What felt like a lifetime, she finally said, is that all. Didn’t even bother to read my total. I handed her cash and she continue to count the three fives slowly. Her mannerism was not only rude but disturbing. Something was not right with her.

Jewel was nice and clean. This is a big store. I love how the employee treated me. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I will definitely be back..😊

Getting my Christmas shopping done. Jewel have a great butcher. Every helpful and alway smiling. Very knowledgeable. They offer the best cuts and some orders can SPECIAL order. You have to complete the I. Store form, but you will get it just the way you order it. I go to Jewel for Thanksgiving and Christmas Rib Roast and Their Crown Roast special prepared with the order slip on the store. Im their every hoilday.

Jewel is a Chicago staple. Ive always received good service. They offer a broad selection of food and nonperishable products. One of the standouts for me is their catfish. I love their catfish. It is always fresh with that nice pinkish color to it. It has become my go to place for catfish. I compared it to two other stores and theirs was much higher for the price point @ $6.09 & $5.89 a lb. Jewels price was $4.49 a lb...big different.

The quality is not that great and I have purchased items that were bad and wasnt able to return...

Pre-ordered chicken from the deli days in advance. Email confirmation for 2pm and the deli had it for 4:30pm. The situation was fixed as I waited patiently 30min for the chicken to be prepared. JEWEL YOU NEED A BETTER SYSTEM! The staff was already pressured from a busy store but now to deal with this situation that could have been avoided.

Best food in the area, its so a bit expensive. Its probably best to make sure and just shop the stuff at good prices and shop around a bit on the side. Also the app is pretty great though. Its considerably faster than Meijer i think and also the nearby Meijer is still pretty far. I get the good holiday gel clings at osco though

The jewels in hazel Crest is exceptional, with an assortment of products ranging from well known wines to liquors in an affordable price range, shopping you get in and out without delay, they employ the autistic, which Im happy about an for those on public transportation you can stop at the front desk and load up your card, I give the jewels on a 183rd and kedsie Ave. In hazel 5 stars, hands down.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a very nice experience, Im new in the area and decided to go to this Jewels. I met a very helpful and nice lady in the meat section. Daniel and another wonderful lady at the deli was very nice. I met two Kathys one with a K at checkout who was helpful and one with a C when I came in the store she was sanitizing the carts very nice.

This place sells liquor so I can ease my pain. Whats not to like about that?

2nd favorite grocery store. Meijer has better prices, but Jewel has some better sales if you watch for them.

I normally shop at PETEs. The bakery and Produce area was a mess in this Jewels.

You can now only use one door. One side of the building is just for pickup. Makes parking a little crazy but they were fully stocked and courteous as usual.

I’m always finding something expire from the fresh departments to the GM side, today I found a bunker with breakfast sausages with a tag of 11/10, after notifying an associate, I seen the old tags being covered over with new dates. I have worked in fresh for a long time, this is unacceptable. I know that the Co2 is used to keep meat looking pink, either they don’t understand this or don’t care but someone has to be held accountable. I will have pictures next time if I decide to go back.

I love when they have their crab leg sale but they pre-package them for expediency. So you end up paying for a lot of ice. I would recommend you get the Jewel Osco app, its a lot of savings in there.

They have alot of things other stores dont have in stock. Only downfall is aisles are small

I went to this store for the fried chicken wings that were on sale. They didnt have any chicken wings and the entire deli was closed. I asked why and was told that no one came to work in that department. What kind of manager is this?

This Jewels recently underwent a renovation, and is clean and well stocked (with the exception of not being able to find toilet tissue anywhere). The staff is helpful. During times of unrest they have remained open. The crowds are bigger because of others that have been displaced, so there are more visitors. This is a store I frequent, it is 5 minutes from my home, and I appreciate the years of service it has provided to the neighborhood and its continued value here!!

They generally have what i want and i dont have to wait in long lines.

I shop at jewel when they have a sale. And this week they had a good sale and a good variety of produce. They were missing one item in stock and another item didnt have the name or price. And they are very over price especially when it come to meat and their buy one get one isnt really a sale. But the sell on veggies and fruit and some other items are good. They have great workers.

It’s a good store but they should have a limit to how many people enter the store during the pandemic there was to many people in there the last time I came!!

The pharmacy department was well staffed and attentive. The store was packed. I chose not to shop.
