My familys favorite halal supermarket. Its very homie. It has an amazing variety of products and the shop owner is welcoming, friendly and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend

I have bought halal meat from this store for over two years. They have a wide variety of halal meat products available here. The meat I bought from here was always fresh, of the highest quality and fairly priced. The staffs are very cooperative and attentive if you ask for something. The store is pretty well stocked always. To me this is the best halal meat store in and around Birmingham. I wished they accepted all different types of credit card though.

If I can give this shop 0 stars I would. This shop prices are too expensive and everything you buy is a scam. Never buy any vegetable or fruit form there as they will go bad the next day. The worst Arab shop in Birmingham. NEVER GO THERE.

I was very impressed with their full stock of items. They had a wide variety of foods. Pricing seemed to be fair. Staff was attentive as the store was quite busy. Just wish I knew how to cook with all those spices. They may want to sell a Mediterranean cook book in English. The place smelled awesome.

First time going to the store. Great selection of spices, beans, Mediterranean cheeses and meats. Was able to pick up all the ingredients for an Egyptian bean recipe that Ill be making this weekend. Staff was very pleasant and very helpful.

My husband and I love shopping here! Excellent fresh meat selection, incredible variety of products, and unbeatable customer service. We always check out Mediterranean food markets on day trips and vacations, but we’ve never found one better or even as good as this one. Birmingham is so lucky to have this great market. If you’re new to the market, let the employees know. They can help you with your selection and give you some great ideas. The spices are ground in the market, and they even grind their own coffee with (or without) cardamom. They have the best 7 spices blend I’ve ever eaten.

Wonderful selection of grocery items I cannot find elsewhere at reasonable prices. I always leave happy.

Best fresh halal meat Ive had. Ive visited many meat markets and this one is the best. Things are a bit pricey but like most things I guess you get what you pay for.

There are not so many places left like this one. You will be treated there like a special guest. I stopped at this store during my lunch time to buy just a few items and I was offered a tasty pitta with a dip just because I took my lunch hour to go there. I was very deeply touched by the hospitality at this store. Besides the exceptional services, the quality of food and selections are great. This is the best place in town to get fresh high quality fruits and vegetables. Also a great stop to get French feta and other international products. I love this place.

Great friendly little market. Cuts some meat at their back counter, has a good selection of dry foods, candy and non alcoholic beverages. Also has a small frozen food and meat section. All foods are halal.

The man that owns this place is so friendly and sweet. He always has a smile on his face. They also have a butcher there at the store that cuts the meat in front of you. I think you will get fresh meat. Prices are reasonable. I forgot to mention that theres also fresh produce.

Great place it smells amazing the prices are good they selection is great. When we went there the cash register man was so nice we ask him a question about the coffee and he let us smell the nut that was in it the coffee has a very interesting flavor. Good place over all

I buy flat bread (sangak) and other grocery items there. Jumbo spicy olives are very good. The feta cheese is excellent.

Fast, clean and friendly. Enjoyed just looking a wide variety of foods and supplies. Was also very surprised at some of the fresh meats that was available. I will be a frequent shopper.

I love this place! Great selection of middle eastern and other foods. Great spice selection. Best source for oil-cured olives and feta cheese. Dont miss the nougat and ask about the coffee with cardamom.

Good place to visit, meat was average whole chicken was good but not the clean breast.First time we went the ground beef and the chicken breast were ruthless, second time mince was fresh. I do understand they import there meat which means it wont be fresh, frozen or vacuumed :(.God bless i continue to buy as no other option !

Good selection of middle eastern foods with fast friendly service. I stop here every time Im in Birmingham to stock up on my favorites and maybe something I havent tried before.

A gem in greater Birmingham! Great selection of mediterranean foods, feta by the pound (greek, bulgarian, french,..), freshly ground spices and herbs, walk-in cooler for produce, frozen specialities, variety of fresh flat bread, and lots of hard to find canned and pickled vegetables.Shop is clean, organized, well lighted, and a bit bigger than a convenience store. Prices are low enough to allow for relaxed and adventurous shopping and staff is over the top friendly and helpful.

Very nice staff and clean store with the best meat in town, halal and premium quality. Variety of international spices and Mediterranean food selections. Since we moved to bham area we go there at least once a week to get our supplies for the good stuff in our kitchen :-)

I love the way this store smells. They carry more Shan masala than the Indian stores. Owner is so kind. He makes everyone feel welcomed. But they don’t accept card payments under $5 so bring cash. This is a fixture in Birmingham.

Its a nice little store. I dont know the people that run it but they seem nice and polite. They have a good variety of mediterranean products which you cannot find in other places.

I m not from Mediterranean countries, but I found many good stuffs here, lambs, vegetables, spices and even stacks.

I missed going to my Mediterranean market when I moved to Alabama, but this is a good substitute. They have a lot of your basics that you can stock up on (massive jars of tahini, frozen Armenian cheese, a couple kinds of zataar, etc). Its not the greatest selection, but its better than any other mart Ive found in AL so far!

I wanted Falafel to make a Humus, Falafel sub. All the major grocery stores near me didnt have falafel. I drove about 10 miles to get it. When I entered Mediterranean Foods, it was sitting on the front chef. I hit the jackpot. I know where to go for my Mediterranean food ingredients now.

Superb quality and variety

The person lies to you about his Halal Meat. Chicken comes from Golden Rod Briolers in Cullman AL which is completely not Halal according to Golden Rods they dont have Muslims only Mexican workers. He said he gets his Beef and Goat from Saad Whole meats out of Michigan. Saad whole meats told me that they only supply their beef to one store in Alabama and it wasnt this store. And they dont supply their goat to anyone.
