When I went to pay for the repair, I asked what was wrong with it and what was done. I was told no, the advisor was on vacation since Friday (I picked the car up Tuesday). I then asked if anyone who worked on the car the past two days could tell me and told flatly no (they had my $500 for a new battery and that cashier.. she is always rude). Cant even pay with AMEX anymore. I have had the same problem for almost a year, and was told the body wiring harness needed was no longer made and although my warranty would cover the repair, the dealership simply gave me the part number and told ME to find the part. I tried for months on my own, then finally got a job at a bank where the boss knows the warranty people and the dealership people and convinced them to fix my car. I read the description of the repair when I got home and it shows that they did the same work around fix that I had asked them to do almost a year ago and they told me couldnt be done. I had to put up with my car literally dying at least once a day and had to be jumped for almost a year. They didnt even bother to wash my car.. didnt get me a rental car for the five days. The only nice people there were the shuttle drivers that I had to beg for.

We got there 20 minutes before closing and Amid was very pleasant into helping us work out a deal without no hesitation that they supposed to close. Tyler Hall! Best car salesperson we have ever had!We bought a car via Tyler and he was extremely polite and helpful. I met him in the lot when I was just looking. He offered his card. I was at another dealer trying to do a deal which failed. I contacted Tyler and asked if they could do a deal. He called a short time later and said come down! We went down, took a test drive and closed the deal quickly. Excellent job by Tyler and the Cutter Team. And he followed up on the one year anniversary to confirm we were enjoying our vehicle!

My truck buying experience with Cutter Chevrolet was much easier than expected. From previous experience, I know that buying a car can be a pain. As a small business owner, I didn’t want to spend all day haggling with a salesman; I don’t like the back and forth and don’t have time for that. I was direct about what I wanted from the start. Erns listened, he was patient and easy-going which was a nice change from previous car buying experiences. He helped me pick out the perfect truck quickly. Thankfully, it was not an all-day affair and the deal was made in about two hours. I love my Chevy Silverado and am grateful for the good customer service experience provided by Earns and the crew at Cutter Chevrolet.

I guess he seen me in the lot and he came right away and asked if I was looking for something in particular. Purchase a brand new truck in 2014. The truck was lowered and rims installed prior to purchase. They never did recon. So now I’m stuck with getting recon on my own. Yesterday 7-1-2021 I went to the dealership to pick up my truck after telling me pretty much our bad, we can’t help you, it’s been so long since you bought the truck, good luck. That’s how I felt. Anyway after going to pick up my truck on 7-1-2021 they didn’t leave my keys out and locked it away, so I was unable to pick up my truck. I’ll definitely make sure to steer as many people away from this Chevy dealership. Rate you guys a negative number if I could.

The comments are clearly for show.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I am extremely disappointed by my experience at Cutter Chevrolet. I reached out to my salesperson several times without any response. Im sharing my story publicly in hopes that it helps someone else make an informed decision about whether they want to do business here.I purchased an Audi Q5 from Cutter that was a trade-in from another new-vehicle customer.The sales rep was very nice and personable but couldnt answer a lot of questions about what had been done to the vehicle and what was worked on. I was able to overhear them talking about work that had to be done to get the vehicle up to standards to be able to sell it but they never disclosed this to me. Neither the sales rep, nor the manager would to tell me what work had been done and if there were any outstanding recalls that had been completed or needed to be completed.During the negotiation phase they tried every slimy sales trick in the book. The a lot of people are looking at the vehicle, the twenty trips back-and-forth to talk to the manager and finance guy. They constantly beat me down in negotiation about price. The manager later let-on that they needed to recoup the cost of whatever air conditioning repairs had to be done to the vehicle. I offered 20% profit margin above the retail price but the manager wasnt having it.When we finally settled on a price, I made the mistake of asking what they would offer for financing. The sales manager refused to give me any sort of terms until I signed an authorization to run a hard inquiry on my credit. When I authorized the credit inquiry, they placed FOUR hard inquiries on my credit. After placing so many inquiries, they had the audacity to come back with a financing offer that was 11% APR ABOVE what I was able to get at a local credit union. Learn from my mistake, DO NOT FINANCE through this dealer, DO NOT allow them to run your credit.During the finance/paperwork stage, they constantly tried to slip in $100 and $250 unnecessary upcharges like VIN security services in the contract which increase the contract price as a high-revenue upcharge.After purchasing, the salesman made the usual Let me know if theres anything I can do for you reassurances. After a few weeks the battery stopped holding a charge and there was a slow consumption of oil happening. I had two battery-techs confirm that the battery was old and needed to be replaced. I drove back to Cutter to have them clear the OBS code. When I approached the service tech, they told me that he could not look at the vehicle or clear the codes or do anything at all. He directed me back to the sales department. I spoke to the salesman and he shrugged off my concerns. It is AS-IS after all. Thats a very unfortunate answer, but I understand it.They did not get me the registration until after the existing registration had expired, (its possible that they had it in the office but no one ever called me to pick it up or mailed it to my address on file)At this point I take the vehicle to the Audi Dealership here in Honolulu. They handle the battery replacement and diagnose the oil issue. The vehicle had some sort of work done on it outside of authorized service because the valve cover is loose and leaking, but there is some foreign RTV sealant that someone tried to use on the valve cover. The rear main seal is also seeping. If Cutter did any sort of inspection on this vehicle at all when they did whatever AC work had to be done, they would have seen this problem at that time. I dont know what work was actually done at Cutter or from the previous owner because the sales team stonewalled me when I asked about it. Now the sales rep wont return my emails. That sure is an absolutely terrible way to treat a customer.

I had special needs for my service visit as I live on Molokai and needed to send my vehicle over on a Young Brothers barge. Cutter agreed to pick up my vehicle and get it to the dealership on my behalf. It was this one courtesy along with receiving a written estimate of the work I needed before my visit which convinced me to go with Cutter. I had tried other dealerships and there was no sense of wanting to help me at all. There were a couple lapses in the communication process 1) when the first service advisor I was working with left Cutter and no one picked up his work, and 2) my service advisor left for vacation the exact day that my vehicle was to arrive in Honolulu and neglected to let me know about that which caused a lot on panic on my part. Tina picked up the ball and got everything done on the vehicle that I requested by the time I needed it. Thank you Chris Y and Tina.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They are only after your money!!! I brought my car in to have 2 different things fixed, and they did not fix either of them but still charged me over $400 for 2 different diagnosis of the car, and both of them werent even a clear diagnosis. I could have used this money to fly in my mechanic friend from the mainland for a cheaper price than what they charged me for doing absolutely nothing.

The Service Adviser was very good. My concern is the new Shuttle service policy. I have been a loyal customer since I purchased my 2016 Corvette in 2015. I have always used your shuttle whenever work was needed. I was denied this service because your new policy restricted area to 5miles. Supposedly due to Covid, although Ive been vaccinated and always wear a mask in public. So I was stranded there until other arrangements could be found. I am not very happy with this. Taxi service wouldve costs me approx. $40 to get home and another to return to pick up my corvette.

3 months ago I brought 2021 Chevy Bolt from Cutter Chevy. I had a few concerns about the the car before I brought due to the defect batteries on previous models. The sales man and sales manager explained to me that Chevy fix those problems and if that problem would occur they would fix problem. After 1 month the Chevy had a recall on all of their Chevy Bolts. Call Chevy and asked them for the timeframe and told me 1 year because Hawaii is the last to get everything, I spoke with Cutter Chevy about the problem and told me it’s all Chevy fault. People don’t know that your insurance companies would not cover you if your car catch on fire. I would not recommend Chevy and definitely don’t recommend Cutter Chevy because my experience they seem like after they get your money they don’t like care. So if wanna get eclectic car I recommend anyone else but dealership and especially Chevy because now I’m driving a car that could burn up anytime and restricted to driving below 90 miles which 30 percent and can’t recharge my car over 90 percent. This is the last time I buy a car from them ever again.

I bought a used Colorado from this establishment about a month ago and I couldnt have been happier with the treatment I received. The initial salesman Amit was thoroughly knowledgable on the pickup and answered any and all of the questions I had as we took it on a test drive. Jason Reiger as my service advisor. Cool guy, gave me a heads up on everything with my vehicle. Took care of certain price adjustments and to me honesty goes a long way which is why I am coming back. We worked together on the customer appointment system to help ease the customer assignment on their service advisor appointment scheduling system. Still could use some improvement on their end but was better than it was prior to having the online scheduler.

I always use your dealership for my service, as its easy for me and where I work in town. I always drive in and am greeted warmly by a friendly staff. Mike (??) always seems to be there helping out and a nice guy. But Julianna has been a regular face when I arrive for routine service and treats me very well as a returning customer. I bought a new 2021 Silverado and within a week the check engine light came on. I then made a service appointment and took a week before I was seen. When I got there I made a appointment for 0930 they then said I had to leave my truck all day. What’s the point of the appointment then? I understand if they read the check engine light then determine it needs to stay all day. But they told me if might be the DEF. They filled the DEF then sent me in my way. The next day the check engine light came back on. I now have a appointment with Servco Chevy hopefully they are better, cause they can’t be worse!

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE! I wish I could give this dealership 0 stars, where do I start. I also would like to start off that I have gotten many cars in the past and never had any of These problems. Below are the 3 reasons never to go here.1.) We got a car from them in October, they could not figure out how to switch over our new car so Couldn’t make any car payments. There rep Tyler said that we had to call GM ourselves, we call them and they said the car payments have not been switched because the dealership never sent the paperwork and they should be calling not me. This was a 2 month process2.) we are sold a vehicle that needed an oil change and then told there isn’t anything they can do because they cannot check all the cars to make sure they are up to date.3.) we go to pick up the license plates and they said because we waited longer than 5 days the plates get sent back to corporate and then they send them to us via mail. This is after we drove an hour to pick up the plates.WORST DEALERSHIP, manager is horrible, Tyler is horrible, secretary is horrible.AGAIN NEVER USE THIS DEALERSHIP.

A terrible company, cheating customerI was cheated by Cutter Chevrolet. They signed the purchase contract to purchase my used car and I left my car there without paying me anything. The salesperson told me they will contact me for the payment once they finish the title transfer in DMV.Nobody contact me in the next two months. I checked with the DMV, the title was already transferred to Cutter Chevrolet.Then when I contact them, they told me they won’t pay me and asked me to sign another paper to transfer the title back to me and take the car back.Never thought this kind of thing will happen in Hawaii before.That is the way Cutter Chevrolet do business. Sales rep was friendly, not too knowledgeable about the car I was purchasing but knowledgable on breakdown of cost of additional fees, etc. Financing was quick to get me in and out. Had lot attendants wash a used car so I could see what it would look like without all the dust. Basically car came back with a rinse with the dust just smeared now.

Probably the worst auto repair experience I’ve ever had. Their “expert” mechanics misdiagnosed an A/C issue and charged me for unnecessary repair. When I went to pick it up, the original problem was still there. They didn’t even perform a quality control check on their own work prior to notifying the customer it was ready for pickup. The issue was spelled out in black and white on the invoice. The mechanic was either illiterate or didn’t even pay attention to why it was brought in. They did issue a refund however. After the whole ordeal was said and done, I was able to find the correct problem/fix within a 5 second Google search. Yeah,... “experts”...They also installed a new clutch during the same service as the AC issue. The new clutch has a distinct vibration when accelerating in first gear and reverse but they’re saying it’s normal. They refused to investigate my concerns after I brought it back or issue a refund. Now having to dispute it with my Credit Card company to hopefully recoup some of the money so I can go somewhere that actually knows what they’re doing. If you take your vehicle here just know that “at Cutter Chevrolet, the customer is not always right.”Update September 25, 2020: Very cordial and respectful face to face conversation with the management team concerning my issue. The concern was taken seriously and measures were taken to rectify the situation.

Communications and organization seemed rather poor. They never gave me a feeling of confidence that they knew what they were doing. I received the car with a trim piece missing from the back left door, right behind the door handle. Right rear tire has a low air leak that will need to be fixed. Windshield was surprisingly scummy on the inside. The right lower corner of the center console dash trim wasnt installed correctly and was protruding from the dash. These are all things I am surprised that any dealer wouldnt have already taken care of in a new car before delivering it to a customer.

I cant help but feel that the only reason this dealership gets business. Is because alot of people are loyal to chevy but because their isnt enough options to buy a chevy here in Oahu. We have to go here and the dealership knows that and because they know that they think its okay to lie and be rude to their customers.Most people should be lucky to still have a job during covid and they should be grateful that they still get customers but I dont think the staff have any consideration of that fact and do the least amount work possible just to get their check.Oh ya I have bought 2 cars from this dealership but I guess thats my fault for being loyal to Chevy.My temporary registration expired and I still have not received my license plate. I have been to a couple of dealerships here on the island, but the one that really takes the cake is Cutter Chevy. I’ve never experienced a dealership so customer oriented, professional, and efficient as this one. Tyler did a phenomenal job at helping me find the right car and he really took care of me. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, and it was very clean. We looked at all the used cars and they were all very well kept, maintained, and clean. Tyler really knew a lot about the vehicles he was showing me, he knew exactly what each car performed like and how they operated and it really helped me find the right vehicle for me. On top of that, he was extremely hospitable and caring, he knew that I didn’t know much about cars and he broke things down to explain them to me, and this was extremely helpful in finding the right fit for me. The service, the vehicles, and the facilities were a 11/10 for me any day of the week, and I very much appreciate the amazing service I received while there.

There’s a lot to write, mostly bad. But I will stick to the biggest issue. I was told I would receive the military purchase price. This price was close to $2000 below the MSRP. Once agreed on, I let the dealership know that the price on the website didn’t include a $1995 fee that they added to my purchase price. When I asked them to remove the fee, they declined to honor my military discount which was already agreed to. They basically said they can offer the military discount but they don’t have to give it if they don’t won’t to. How can you offer a military discount when you want and only if it benefits your personal agenda. You either support the military and give everyone a discount or remove it from your sales pitch and stop trying to get over on service members.

I hate taking my car to a mechanic as much as the next person. Its a bit like the Dentist really... they say you need this and that done and youre not in a knowledgeable position to know otherwise! I cannot tell you what a breath of fresh air it was then to go to this place and meet with Keith Moniz. This guy was knowledgeable, courteous and above all had my wallet in mind. He saved me literally hundreds and possibly hundreds of dollars on the work I had done on my car. The work done was great, on time and didnt run over what he quoted. If only everyone I came in contact with did business like Keith at Cutter I would be a very, very happy consumer. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!

We called Cutter Chevrolet and within an hour we had the finance manager call us. Great service from the Honolulu one. Got the our Suburban sent to us in Hilo and we were thrilled! Love the drive, color, and how classy it looks! Only issue-there was a dent on passenger door area. That upset us but it’s too late to send back. Mahalo!

Avoid Cutter Chevrolet at all costs! Never trust them with any service work!!! Had them change my clutch. They did an awful job and when I asked for a refund, they refused so now I’m out $1,700 and stuck with an awful clutch! I’m filling a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Maybe that will get their attention to give better customer service and actually give good service work! Don’t tell me my car is “normal” when I know darn good and well isn’t not ok!

Purchased a car from Cutter that was leased and they wouldnt honor their own price written on the contract for the buy out price. Extremely disappointed in the orginazation for not honoring what was signed previously. The finance manager cited that it was cause he wasnt there when the paper work was filled out 3 years prior therefore he couldnt sell it at the price denoted on the contract. Its all smoke and mirrors tricks. Dont recommend to anyone. Service and treatment is okay but weekend hours for service are spotty.

Hey Cutter, I was wondering if I could get an update on the truck I purchased from you on October 10th. I understand that you do not control shipping and have been very patient with you in that regard.Today was the 3rd time I have called for an update (about once a week) all 3 times, I have been told I would receive a call back from someone when they became available. Today (Nov 12th!) I called for an update and waited 3 hours for a call back. After waiting 3 hours with no call back, I called the dealership again and was just placed on hold. This is NOT acceptable to not even get a call back back.

I was optimistic going into the car-buying process and was fortunate to have Jason L as my salesman. He is incredibly knowledgeable and stayed past closing to make sure I was being taken care of. I appreciate his dedication to serving his customers. He is the only reason this review has more than one star.However, the Finance department really needs to get its act together. I went in with a pre-approved loan and gave the dealership the forms from my lender so that they could fill them out and return them. It’s been a month and my lender still has not received any of the documents, despite the dealership’s claim that they sent the documents twice. Every time I call the dealership, the receptionist says she will leave a message with whichever department I’m trying to reach and I never get a call back. I’m always the one having to call over and see if the person I’m trying to reach is actually in, and half the time they’re conveniently “out of the office.”When I purchased the car, the registration and safety were expired and I was told that the dealership would take care of it. Again, it has been a month since I purchased the car but the safety and registration still have not been updated. They claim it has to do with the DMV but honestly I’m tired of being told “sorry it’s not our problem, come again in two to three weeks” as if I have the time to drive down just to be told they “still haven’t heard back from the DMV.”I’m satisfied with my purchase, but I would not want to come here again in the future.

Bought a used truck at cutter chevy after shopping around in many different sellers.I am so happy with the help and genuine attitude from the staff. Amit was the seller of my truck and the guy is awesome! Helped me out negotiating, with the finance, etc. after a few weeks after i bought the truck they still called me because they had a spare key for me which was surely out of their way and responsibility at that point.
