Pathetic. Ordered a vacuum cleaner on Friday evening for store pickup. Came the the store Saturday evening to pick it up. It had not been picked yet. I waited about 30 minutes for then to pick it. They had no idea how long it would take them to pick the box and bring it up. Girl at the pickup desk seemed to have no idea what was going on. I cancelled my order and instead bought it from Amazon with next day delivery.Get your act together. How hard is it to walk 40 feet to a box, grab it, and bring it to the front. I offered to do their job for them and was told if I did that they would have to cancel my pickup order and it would be a normal purchase.If this is the quality of service brick and mortar offers, perhaps it really should go bankrupt and leave a wake of unemployment. Sad. Many such cases.

I had a good experience today thanks to Nathan. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He listened to my needs and showed me options. He took the time to explain everything. He took the time to explore options I thought would work. However his options worked better for me. He had the opportunity to sell me something that wasnt practical but steered me toward the correct choice. It saved me a couple hundred dollars, I appreciate that. Thanks Nathan.

First of all, let me say I have been a customer and card holder for many years. A few months ago I bought a washing machine from Best Buy. I had to drive all the way from south Shelby County to Trussville to pick it up. I got it home only to find knobs missing off the top control panel and major dents in the exterior of the machine. I contacted customer service about the damage and was told the earliest they could deliver the new machine and retrieve the damaged one was Oct. 2nd, two week from the date of purchase. The delivery date was confirmed by them through text, email, and phone call. On Oct. 2nd, they were a no-show. Customer service told me they didn’t even have the product in stock so didn’t know why the messages were generated. So, a NEW delivery date was issued. This time it was Oct. 13. Again, I take off 1/2 work to meet them. They, again, are a no show. Customer service is very apologetic that the machine was not working Ben on the truck for delivery. I’m promised gift cards and reimbursement of my wages, neither of which was followed up on or received. Which brings us to today. When my third attempt at delivery was to have been made. B cause of the previous occurrences, I was assured that the new delivery would be made after 3:00 so that I would not have to take off work. Well, after not having the washer delivered, I call customer service, am hung up on three times before the fourth person tells me that the delivery was attempted at 12:13 and since no one was there they left. So, I am instructed to make another appointment. FYI, you company has a LOT of training needed. Your policies need to be reviewed. You won’t have to worry about this customer, because after this, I won’t be a customer.

Had an issue with word not letting me into documents stored on my computer. I called the Hoover location and they put in touch with a member of the geek squad. He fixed my issues, was very patient with me, and had an awesome personality...this is a shout out to say thank you to him. I actually purchased my computer from this location, and bought a TV there as well. Any other electronics that I buy will come fro there also.A very satisfied customer!

In store Geek Squad customer service is abhorrent!!!! Having scheduled an appointment to have my computer looked at, the representative checking me in did not even bother to turn my computer on - instead, he diagnosed the problem from the other side of the counter. 🤔 He then went on to rattle off the hundreds of dollars they would charge me to have it sent off because they couldn’t open the back up 🤨 😠 (I am under a service agreement - BTW)To add insult to injury, his boss came by and apparently inquired as to what the problem was and he proceeded to tell her in front of me that “I was mad”. Ya think?!!?!?!!The Geek Squad on Hwy 280 (John B and Derrick) had my computer properly and professionally diagnosed within 10 minutes of my appointment. They even went above and beyond to ensure that they could retrieve my files before I went home to pick up my external hard drive.Alex also provided superior, invaluable service in assisting us with a new computer.Top notch, caring and courteous group!!!! I love this best Buy, they are always courteous and quick to help. Very rarely are they out of what Im looking for. We went in to buy an insignia tv. If they dont have what you need they will try to help you with something as close to it as possible and they dont make you feel like they are rushing you to get to someone else.

Wow! I’m not sure where to begin. Every. Single. Time. I go there... I’m treated like I’m the only one in the store. Every employee there goes out of their way to help in anyway they can. I recently purchased a tv, air pods and got the geek squad to come to my home several times. The customer service was exceptional and prices are reasonable too. If you ever went to Best Buy a few years ago, you would be infinitely aware that the service was not up to par, especially for the amount of money and time a customer was wanting to spend.However, todays Best Buy is a lot different.Not only do they have a good procedure to assign you to an associate, but now they have associates who understand a customers needs and are far more expert and help to make the process easier and less intimidating.Try going again. You will appreciate the changes.

We had a washer and dryer installed and it was only halfway hooked up. The drain hose wasn’t put in and the cold water hose was loose. It’s leaking all over my floor and the best I got was we can replace it next week. Even though I fixed these it’s still leaking. Meanwhile my floor is being ruined. They offered 55 dollars back. While I appreciate that it’s not worth the headaches. I’m vastly disappointed.

I made a terrible mistake purchasing a television from this store. I had problems with BB Hoover before, but thought I would give them another chance. I purchased an expensive Samsung television before Christmas. I paid extra for an ELITE membership to Geek Squad, a special cable, and installation. When the installers arrived they told us they did not have the cable with them and would use a regular cable and issue us a refund (this never happened). They did not know how to install the television - I ended up pulling up a You Tube to show them how to do it. The installer still installed it incorrectly. We received a survey and described our experience in it, We tried calling Geek Squad, the Best Buy Hoover store, and could not get anyone to answer or to help. Three weeks ago I finally went into the store and explained the situation to a manager, He told us that the people that installed our television were 3rd party contractors that BB had to hire due to a shortage over the holidays. He assured us that they would send a professional team to to correct the install and the higher end cable. We set the appointment for yesterday. I took 1/2 a day off from work and went home. The installer called. I called him back - no answer. I texted him, no reply. At 7:30 pm I finally called his number and left a message for his manager. I called BB customer service who was no help at all. Today I will physically go back to the Hoover store and request they take the television back and issue a full refund. I should have bought the television from Costco and paid the local television installation company (We Hang Televisions) to install it. I have used them before and never had a problem. DO NOT USE BEST BUY - they simply do not have the capacity to back up what they sell.

Great place to get electronics locally. They have good prices and Ive never had an issue with quality. I knocked off a star because the order online and pick up in an hour is more miss than hit. I understand the strain on everyone with social distancing. However, ordering two items from the same department and getting an email the next day for one and then eventually having to walk into the store and get the second item off the shelf yourself is a bit much.

Store was clean and well stocked. There is enough room in the aisles to walk without bumping into others. Restroom was clean. During the COVID crisis, the are no sales people chasing you around. Upon arrival I was advised that if I needed assistance, I would need to come back to her and request it. That is a great way to always to business. They promise to price-match but be aware that does not include many on-line retailers. They did meet in the middle of the price difference, so I purchased from Best Buy because they did have one available and had a display to look at and offered technical assistance.

Brennan did a great job helping us pick out a TV. We have limited spaces for our TVs. He suggested we have a consultant for free assess our home to determine where and how to put our TVs. Tiffany came the next day and determined where and how to place TVs. The Geek Squad will come in a week to deliver and install our TVs. Very impressed with the great service.

I am a elite member and I decided to trade some old tech for a new laptop. I not only have shopped exclusively at best buy but I worked as a supervisor there as well. After I get my trade estimates I go to the store and take my equipment in. The lady at the counter was nice but she was having trouble getting the correct specs. I simply thought nothing of it. She then told me she was going to trade my other stuff while we wait. Keep in mind I told her I wanted to get a new laptop with my trade. After trading in one item and then giving me the gift card for the one item she begins to tell me that there is no way to trade in the other device. I am very upset because my goal was to trade in everything toward a new laptop I am not upset at the process nor what happened with the process I am upset that knowing what I came in for she did not take the time to listen to understand that if she could not get the device traded in we should not have traded in anything until she knew for sure she could get that device traded I almost lost my possessions that I did not want to give up for free because of that incompetenceI will probably not be doing as much shopping at Best buy this just left a bad taste in my mouth and then when I stated to her that I needed my traded in item back she told me there was nothing that she could do to an elite member who spends quite a bit of money there every year that does not entitle me however I should get something for being a loyal customer.

The same crew was still standing at front door still talking about nothing concerning Best But when I left. You may want to remove the useless slugs from the front door where their clearly NOT helping customers and sit them in the break room where they can continue breaking while a FEW good workers help the rest of the store stay open and in business. I Have had many good experiences with Best Buy, but they do have one problem. Today I was trying to call them for some questions I had, but no one would answer. I was calling during their business hours, 11-7. I got in touch with a robot who told me to hold until the next associate can answer. I was on the phone for over 2 hours, sometimes its ringing, then other times it is talking about best but deals on an automated loop. I called more than 5 times and never got in touch with anyone. I was not calling BestBuy corporate, I was calling their location directly.

I’m not impressed with this location at all. When you place an order and it said pick-up 11/11/2020 and you haven’t received ANY communication this is poor customer service. No only does it get worse no one will answer the phones. Last time I was in the store 11/5/2020 there was plenty of people standing around waiting to do something useful. So why is it no one can answer the phones or send out an email communication on the statute of an order? Business will be taken elsewhere from now on.

Used to be a nice place. The customer experience has dwindled to the point where moving to online shopping is preferable. I made several attempts to call and get anyone to answer, but was hung up on after 11m of ringing. Some questions cant be answered by their website and having no one answer during business hours is frustrating. Short of needing something same day Ill be shopping online.

Originally I had gone to Target to get a screen protector for my new phone, they wanted 50 dollars and didn’t include installation. We came to BestBuy and it was half the price, free installation with really great customer service. They installed it in less than five minutes and included a lifetime protection warranty at no extra cost.

I had the worst experience here trying to pick up an order that I did online. The inventory system is broken. If I order something online and it says available for pick-up today then I would expect to be able to get it today. I desperately wanted to get my daughter a laptop before she left to go back to the Navy but I was not able to. When I went in store to advise them that I was still waiting for my order to update the people in store were dismissive, rude and snappy. I can imagine how overwhelmed they are with orders but this entire experience was just awful for my daughter and I. I ended up canceling my order. The refund process was very quick though.

Literally the worst customer service I have ever encountered at any store ever (I am not exaggerating either). If you have a question about anything you literally have to go to the store. This store NEVER answers the phone. I tried to call for 40 min and no one picked up. Tried to call another store and they didnt answer so I had to call best buy universal customer support and I finally got someone but they said their policy cant let them connect me to the store? I have never had such horrible encounters with customer service in my life and Im completely serious. If you need help from Best Buy, either go to the store or you wont get it. There are no ifs ands or buts. They literally will not communicate with you.
