Vegan cookies and cream was pretty good! No gas or bloating. I wish they carried a few more vegan flavors, though. They have some really delicious looking regular flavors!

Keeps adding yummy premium flavors but I stick with Sea Turtle - yep it’s that good. Best ice cream in Hoover, convenient to the Met, Finley Center, Hoover High and great owner who always gives back to the community.

The guys working were very friendly and courteous. Even though they were busy y hey made sure to engage the customers and keep their professionalism. The ice cream was delicious anf the prices reasonable

The gentleman that served us- I think he is the owner, is definitely a people person! He gave me samples of his favs to try and they were delicious! I ordered snickers ripple and butter pecan and my son ordered snickers ripple and pecan praline, both of us got warm cookies on the bottom! Let me just say, they were Awesome!!! My son said its definitely good that we do not live closer to here because we would be over here all the time! Great, friendly service and yummy ice cream!!!

We visited about an hour before closing on a Saturday night. Both of the young men who were working were extremely friendly and helpful. They let us try a few flavors and suggested different ways they could serve the ice cream. Everything we tried was delicious. The place was clean and had a very cozy feel to it. We will definitely go back!

Our family loves The Whole Scoop! A Hoover treasure, this shop not only has quality scrumptious icecream, but they treat the community like extended family with years of pictures of local students on the walls who have come in to celebrate academic achievements! Straight As earns a scoop I believe. The staff is happy to get you a sample and service is always with a smile! :D

The service is really good and they have tons of flavors and varieties. Despite having usually younger employees, we have never had an issue in service. In fact, the employees are some of the best around. There are a lot of ice cream and gelato flavors from which to choose, as well as ice cream cakes. The prices aren’t high, which I would expect from an ice cream place which isn’t a chain. Overall, it is a great experience.

First time customer and went there because of the highly rated reviews. I was celebrating my birthday on 6/20/2018 and shared this with the owner and he made a comment that “I guess that means the ice cream is on me.” I responded with a yes but did not take him seriously and when I got to the register he asked for my name and wrote it down, then told me the ice cream was on him and to have a wonderful birthday. I was so touched I asked for a hug. The ice cream was delicious and so was the service. I highly recommend this location. 👍👍

The cones were fine but the milkshakes were thin, more milk than ice cream. The girl behind the counter complained about having to scoop the ice cream (likely why the shakes were thin) and about having to make change(!!!). To add insult to injury, the change she gave back was incorrect. With several other options in the area, I think well take our ice cream dollars elsewhere for a while.

Before getting in the door good, we were welcomed by owner. There was a high school student working in there alongside him and he was super friendly as well. I went out of my way to try this place and I can say that it was well worth it!

The charm about this place is not the ice cream, nor the prices ($8.00 for two small cones), but the fact that its a close neighborhood stop. Its actually gone a step back since the bluebell debacle. They had to stop serving a fine ice cream brand, and switched to something less desirable. Its not bad; its not Brewsters; but its close to home.
