Freshly cooked and authentic taste food. I had chicken Karahi and was given a rather large portion which tasted delicious and they had adjusted it per my request for a little extra spicy. I also had some vegetable samosas which I ate with their sauce. They have a varied menu to satisfy the taste buds of most people. Family friendly with plenty of free parking outside and plenty of seating inside. The food came quickly and the staff are friendly. In my opinion this is a jewel of a restaurant/takeaway.
Very good and fresh authentic Pakistani food..had the chicken Tikki and mango Lassi 🥭 was tender and tasted amazing!!
The food was mouth watering-ly delicious. I ate there and ordered a weeks worth of food to take home. Drove 2 hours to eat at this place, I have heard that amazing reviews about this place. They make the food after you order it, so it takes a little time, but its totally worth it. I would give 6 stars if I could, its that amazing. Service and food, both mind blowing.
Absolute BEST Pakistani food in Alabama and Tennessee I have ever had!!!This is by no means an inexpensive meal but, it’s so worth the price. It is the one luxury I afford myself when traveling to Birmingham, Al. I will be visiting once a week for sure!!!
Best food i have ever eating in my entire life! Excellent customer service. I thank God i discovered this place and its near me. Thank you to the excellent cooks
I went to Kabob-Licious for lunch and really enjoyed it. The food tastes great and is reasonably priced, the staff is courteous, and the restaurant is spotless. I spoke with the staff and they are taking an authentic approach to Pakistani food. As a result, some of the dishes were quite spicy. The restaurant will tone down the intensity for the less-adventurous American palate upon request. The entrees do not come with rice, but it can be ordered separately. Several gluten-free options for those that need it.I will definitely eat lunch here again soon.
Perfect! My wife and I drove through on our way back home and loved the food! The Nihari was great and the owners were even better! Thanks for the wonderful meal!
I lived the majority of my life overseas eating authentic cuisines. This is hands down the best Ive tasted since my return. The owners are really charming, and everything is cooked to order. My goal is to try the WHOLE MENU!
Very good fresh Desi halal food. So clean and affordable too. Wait time is expected all fresh to order. Small but classy. Take out casual order at counter eat in vibes. Friendly owners. Family friendly.
Great food; excellent service. Takes some time, but well worth it for authentic and creative indo-pak food!
Best Indian/ Pakistani food in the US. I’ve had desi food in most big cities but this place here is a gem. Every item on the menu is cooked to perfection and you cannot go wrong ordering anything. We have catered food for large gatherings on multiple occasions and it has been great every single time.
We ate chicken Karachi and chicken tikkaWith naan+ sweet.Fresh madePrice reasonable (under $40 our family 4 people eat it )Very tasty all like it 😋
My husband and I stopped by after work wanting something new and different. The first thing I noticed was how clean it looked. After browsing the menu, I decided to try the goat biryani. It is spicy but not so overwhelming that you cant appreciate the different spices and flavors. The goat was not gamey but tender and well marinated. The rice was a great compliment to the meat. They are always trying out new additions to the menu. They do have lunch specials The staff is really friendly and willing to help you decide what to try. Id definitely go back!
My favorite place to eat. The family that owns it and cooks are the nicest people around. Really makes you feel welcome. And then, the food, its amazing I cant wait to go back
Outstanding service!!Good quality Halal food! What a pleasant experience we were visiting Birmingham for three days and liked the food and service so much ended up going three times.
Indian-Pak comfort food for the soul. We tried Kebab-Liscious in Hoover and found it to be a warm, welcoming and delicious place to dine. Located in The Plaza at Riverchase on what is now seemingly becoming Hoover’s own “Restaurant Row”, the cozy restaurant is a no-frills space dedicated to serving diners creatively prepared recipes, perfectly spiced, and welcome to the pallet. We started with beef samosa (where have you been all my life?), followed by three naan breads (why choose?), and entrees of Goat Karahi, wok-cooked goat leg chunks with fresh tomatoes, ginger, and house spices, Beef Boti, and perfectly grilled lamb chops. Accompanied by saffron rice, we were in heaven, sharing across the table happily enjoying the taste sensations. We ended with chai tea and dessert, and unanimously decided that we have a new favorite Hoover, Alabama restaurant. The family-run business helmed by Chef Mehdi Sultan places great emphasis on hospitality as well. Stop in and enjoy the marvelous dishes (they are open for lunch as well), and tell the family that I said I will be seeing them soon, too! Happiness on a plate is found at Kebab-Liscious in Hoover, for sure.
I tried there Tikka and tikka wings the food was amazing definitely give it a try guys 5 stars loved it.
We tried this restaurant relying on its reviews and rating but it was very disappointing. We ordered both veg and non veg and They were terrible, with loads of color and spices. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Delicious authentic Indian food, family owned and worth every penny. Loved it and will definitely come again.
My best experience of eating desi food so far. This is a new place, so everything looks brand new and shinning. Nice and neat decor, with charming people. It’s a deli style self- service restaurant. We started with mango lassi, which was very thick big in amount. Easily two people can share. Next, we took garlic and bullet naan and murg-chhole. The naans were absolutely amazing. Not so thick, perfectly buttered crunchy crust. The bullet naan has a spicy coating to add an extra flavour. The Chicken biriyani was good not overwhelming though ( May be because of my always biased pallet for Calcutta style biriyani). But the show stoppers were the kabobs. We ordered sheek kabob and the goat chop. Both were the fantastic. The meat was tender, pure juicy, aromatic with perfect amount of spices. In conclusion, the best kabobs ever. We were so full that could not try any of their desserts. I am certainly coming back to try different items.
Kabob-Licious is seriously fantastic! The owners are wonderful people and the food is delicious. We eat here every week!
We were visiting from Dallas for a conference and looked up a halal Desi restaurant and found this. Had the yummiest food ever. Ordered Bihari kabab, chicken boti, chicken tikka, nihari, biryani and ras malai . Everything was really delicious . The owners were also very friendly. Ended up going twice during our three day stay:)
The food and service here are amazing. The chef/owners deserve kudos for such variety and fantastic tasting Pakistani cuisine. I tried several items on the menu and all of them were simply outstanding. To name a few, I tried their Chicken Tikka, Nihari, Beef Kabobs, and Halfwa Puri. I will be back again, and highly recommend it to all my friends and family. I reside in metro Atlanta and this is by far my favorite Pakistani restaurant in the Southeastern region. I plan to stop by for a meal, each time I am in Birmingham.
It is an amazing restaurant in Birmingham, AL.The owners Mr. Mehdi and Ms. Ashraf have always showered me with utmost hospitality. They are like a family to me now. I have been going here straight past 4 weeks in a row since day 1. Their menu and quality of food is outstandingly delicious. You can never go wrong with their menu. Every time I eat here it reminds me of my Moms food - thats how much I am connected to Kabob-Licious.They even have a special breakfast menu served on Sundays which is a must try.The restaurant is very neat and tidy in addition to their restrooms as well.5/5 Star rated!!!-SREEKUMAR S. VEMULA
Great food, good people ! You have to try the chicken samosa, it’s elite ! The food is always cooked to order ! 💯
Way too spicy. We couldnt even eat the food.
Walked in with little familiarity, got an excellent overview of the menu, and left with chicken kadai and aloo samosas. SO GOOD. I will definitely be back and want to try more, but it will be difficult to not get the same thing.
Good food until now (Dec 2020). We expect you guys to maintain the same quality and tasty food. Great kabobs, Nans and chicken curry.
The food is amazing and the staff were super friendly! We had seekh kabob and it was soooo good! We were visiting the area and stumbled upon this restaurant, we are glad we did!
The food is amazing and the service was great.
Very yummy food 🥳🥳
So tender meat and so good taste!
I walked into Kabob-licious to order a takeout meal for my dad and I, and was kindly greeted by the owner, who took time to answer all my questions about the Pakistani cuisine. The restaurant was well-cleaned, and the owner was welcoming and friendly. At home my dad and I enjoyed an extremely flavorful meal of chicken and beef. We loved the spice of the chicken, but it did not overshadow the complex flavors of the dish. We look forward to eating here again.
They provide one of the best Pakistani food; its a hidden gem.
Absolutely amazing. Best Kabob we have eaten. Owners are amazingly nice. Drove 45 minutes to get here, plan on making this a regular spot of ours.
Excellent food and service
Great food. Good people.Highly recommend you order everything on the menu at least once.
My friend told me I had to come in and try this new Indo-Pak grill. I had never tried this type of cuisine before in my life. I’m not one to try new foods but I took a chance and I cannot say enough about how absolutely delicious everything was. All the way from the Nann to the Lamb even the Chicken Tikka Marsala was sensational. The restaurant had a modern and comfy feel to it. Bathrooms were extremely nice and clean. The staff there was absolutely wonderful as well. Attentive and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. First time visiting and definitely will be back. It is a must try whether you are a foodie or not! A new favorite.
Staff was extremely helpful in walking you through the menu. There was a very large party that put their order in before I did, but I never felt like my food took a while to come out. Food was served “American Spicy” but they can make the food as spicy as you like it. I will definitely be coming back again, hopefully I won’t be too distracted by the LED light in the bathroom faucet!
Delicious food.
A wonderful addition to the neighborhood! Absolutely delicious food: succulent meats and desserts you simply have to try to believe! Definitely got more than what we paid for. Friendly service, clean accommodation, family atmosphere. Put this on your must visit list!
Best Indo-Pak restaurant in the state of Alabama. I always make a stop when passing through Birmingham. Everything on the menu is delicious. Living up to it’s name.
Excellent foods
Amazing food, great service! My son has certain food allergies; the sweet lady up front very patiently addressed all our questions regarding menu items and gave personal attention to our order. Despite the rush hour, the chef came out to check on us and make sure everything was as we expected. Finally some good desi food in Birmingham... this ones here to stay, Im sure.
By far the best Pakistani/Indian food in Birmingham.
Grilled wings and nihari was on point. Service was great and staff was awesome.
Good place for indian food...
High quality, authentic Pakistani cuisine. Local family run restaurant with great customer service. The Bihari, Seekh Kabob, and Chicken Tikka Alfredo are a must try!
Food is absolutely delicious. The restaurant is beautifully renovated, and the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful. Also, the owners will cater to your dietary needs - I’m vegan and there are always a couple delicious options to chose from!
This place is amazing. The food is flavorful, delicious, authentic. This is a gem in Birmingham. The food could stand up in any big city market. It’s incredible with a variety of options. You also get sooooo much food for your money! Enjoy!!!
Some of the best grilled food I have EVER had in Alabama! Great quality, amazing service, and good ambience. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have some good food
One of my favorite places recently. Still making my way through the menu, but the grill items really shine. The chicken malai boti in particular is amazing, and something that I recommend when I bring new people. Portions in my opinion are right-sized: I leave feeling pleasantly full, not overstuffed. The restaurant (including the restrooms) is very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very bad customer service, too high price for such a small quantity, this was my first and last visit over here, yesterday after eating their bihari kebob I had vomiting, never taste such type of bad kebobs, very bad
Best Pakistani food in town
So delicious! I cannot say enough good things about this place. The owners are so nice too!
Great food and the owner and his family are friendly and wonderful people.
Great food and such friendly owners! Will be back soon. I love the lunch special where you can try a variety of food.
Had a good chat with the owner, very nice. Good out of this world. Very falvorful...would recommend checking them out!
Went with my best friend for the first time and loved it. Great environment and staff, and amazing food 😍
Amazing food coupled with excellent service. They’ve got lines out the door, and with good reason. Loved it!
So, so good and authentic!! Ive loved everything I have tried there (which is pretty much everything). My favorite place to eat out!
The food is amazing, delicious, and healthy. The staff are warm and welcoming. You got to try this amazing place. I highly recommend this place for their great authentic food.
I pick up food from here every week. The food is fantastic, and the owners are very friendly. I get the behari kabob and seekh kabob. I have also tried the chicken kadhai and everything is fantastic. On Sundays they have halwa poori which is also excellent. 5/5 for sure.
Great food
My wife and I travel a lot and we love to try different (food) places, especially desi food. This is the best place we have been to yet (better than sabri in atlanta and almost any Pakistani/Indian restaurant in Houston or Dallas). I can’t recommend this place enough. The nihari and behari kabob is unbelievable! You will NOT be disappointed!
Must try! No frills family restaurant with full flavored India-Pakistani cuisine. Authentic and full of flavor.
Walked into this establishment on a whim and was blown away. I wasnt expecting such delicious food and positive atmosphere. The cashier took the time to explain each item on the menu as I am not familiar with Indian/Pakistani dishes. I tried the nihari and it was very rich, meaty, and spicy. Everything I wanted on a chilly day. The naan bread was homemade and it definitely showed, it was very tasty and paired well with the nihari.I think this place is a hidden gem and anyone hankering for Indian/Pakistani food must try this place out. Im definitely going to be a repeat customer.
Greasy food
Food is best as far as i experienced in US
Delicious food, nice clean spot for take outs....Ill be back soon
Amazing food, great service, and extremely friendly staff. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
If you are expecting Hooligans or Makarios style kabobs, then this is not the place. Go here for the info-pak style kabobs!!! This is exactly what authentic indo-pak style kabob is supposed to taste like. I hate most indian restaurants, but I keep going back here repeatedly. Please get their kabobs!!!! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is wonderful. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. You guys are the best. All the best!!!
The best Pakistani authentic food Ive tasted in the USA .
Good food
This is a great place for fresh, flavorful food cooked to order with the guest in mind. Hadi, the owner, asked what level of spice our 7 year old would prefer, and because the food is freshly made, they can tailor it to your preference. The meats we ordered were tender and delicious and the garlic naan was wonderful. I also recommend the sweet lassi, which he described to us as An Indian yogurt smoothie, as it was very refreshing. The facilities were clean and updated, and everyone who worked there was kind and warm, friendly hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and highly recommend it.
If you want some authentic Indo-pak food, this is the place to be. Their kebabs are absolutely delicious and awesome. They have some of the best goat chops I have ever had. I definitely recommend this place if you are in Birmingham.
What an incredible find! And great, authentic Pakistani food served with a friendly smile. My wife and I lived in Pakistan several years back and always look for authentic restaurants when we travel. We were in South Birmingham for a concert and did a Google search... Kabob-Licious popped up and we have it a try. It was one of the best dinners weve had in years. Finally, a taste of what we enjoyed many years back.Ash, the hostess, met us with a smile and explained the specials to us. We loved it. The naan, especially the garlic version, was great as was the chicken biryani. We called out cook from Pakistan, who now runs an Indian restaurant near Buffalo, and told him we found someone who could teach him a few things...it was that good.Highly recommend giving this place a try... Youll be back as will we!
Delicious food ever! Just love everything
Good food,good service,friendly staff
Really tasty and affordable. Love that you can get an exotic meal at an everyday price. My favorite was the Seekh kabob with tamarind sauce. Very mild, no spiciness. We also really liked the Chicken Biryani. It came with rice and was a medium when it came to spice. It didnt have a ton of meat, but it had a lot of flavorful rice, which was really good to pair with another dish that has a lot of sauce. Chicken Kadhai is delicious, spicy at first with a warm complex finish. Chicken Tikka Masala was pretty good too, it tasted like a really good Chef Boyardee tomato sauce. Another one that went well with the Chicken Biryani was the Nihari since it came with a lot of sauce. It was pretty mild, good if you dont want something very spicy. My wifes favorite was the Chicken Tikka Boti, which was a kabob. We ordered a side of rice to fill that one out. We also got the Chicken samosa, which was a pretty good appetizer. To drink, we tried the Sosyo, which tasted like raisin coke lol. Kinda weird, but definitely a new flavor for me.We also got the chilled cashew baklava and Gulab Jamun which were both alright. I felt like the desserts were the weakest part of the meal.Overall, we were thrilled to see a Pakistani restaurant open here in town, and the owners and their family are really friendly and generous folks. Pretty sure this will be a regular spot for us.
You order at the counter, pay, receive a number and the food will be brought to your table. My first impression: Clean, functional, well lighted, a bit bare bone. Employee friendly and helpful. The lunch special ($8.99) lets you pick 3 samples from a separate menu and includes a choice of naan or rice . I picked vegetarian options: Potato Dosa, Paneer Tikka Massala, and mixed veggie with naan. All good, flavorful, quite spicy, and overall a good sized portion. I was not convinced by the mixed veggies but Dosa and Paneer Tikka Massala were good. The Tikka Massala contained lots of paneer and was tomato forward and a bit less creamy than I make it.Overall a good first impression and I will see if they can keep a 4 stars over time. They cannot get to a 5 star rating, as long as water cups, utensils, and plates are disposables.
Its perfect place...tasty food ..good serves .in Alabama I have not eaten such tasty yammy food!
After our last couple of visits to Kabob-Licious, we have decided that we will never go back and boycott the place. The reason is the rude and despicable conduct of the short woman who works in the front counter. Later found out that it is not only us, many of our friends have the same opinion of that woman. It was not like this when the restaurant first opened!! I like to support local businesses but in this case, it is going to be difficult.
Tried it on the first day of opening, great taste but prices are too high when compared to quantity.
A decent pakistani restaurant serving pakistani-indian subcontinental food. Had Biriyani, whose taste was ok but the proportion was good. Would try some other dish next time.
Found this little gem while I was on vacation. The food is incredibly authentic. The hospitality and atmosphere of this place is warm and welcoming. The women that took my order was very knowledgeable of the menu. She was very helpful with any of my questions.I ordered the tikki chicken wings. The wings so juicy and tender. I absolutely love the spices that packed a good punch of heat. The wings served with two different types of sauces. Both sauces were deliciously paired well with the wings. For entree I ordered the chicken Tikki masala and plan naan. The masala packed a richness of authentic spices and beautiful red color sauce with tender chicken. Naan I could tell was made with love. It was nice and fluffy but still had the crisp bottom. I was in food heaven.I’m a Cajun girl, I love spice. The spices were not overbearing. The spices accommodated the meats and sauces very well. Yes my sinuses cleared up but my soul was warm and my body was ready for a nap. This was exactly what I needed after my hike in Oak mountain.
Extremely good authentic Pakistan food. Absolutely loved the environment and the food.
Amazing food ....I had the chicken tikka boti roll and it tasted so yummy....I recommend everyone to go try this new restaurant on the block as all the items look so good!!
Tried Indo pak Chinese today it was great !!Definitely will be back for some more chilli chicken!!!
Delicious food! The best place in Birmingham Metropolitan!! Highly recommended!!
Finally an authentic Pakistani restaurant in Birmingham with perfect taste. There should be a 10 star rating for this restaurant.Behari kabab is a must try and it is way better than the one in Bundo Khan Houston.
We ordered-1. Chicken boti roll - it was good but I wish it didnt have raw tomatoes in it.2. Chicken tikka masala - was terrible. Smelled like ginger garlic paste. I wonder why would they use that in a restaurant.3. Kadai goat- didnt like the flavour.4. Mango lassi - it was great5. Normal lassi - good7. Kheer - was okThe person at the counter was trying to be helpful but I found her very assertive. Also didnt like the fact that she didnt walk up to us to help, instead opted to shout from the back of the counter. My friends and I wont go again.
I went to this place when they first open food was very good and good size portion but few days ago I took a group of people and was very disappointed, first at counter tall old man said not to throw white to go container because they re-use them, this was most disgusting thing I ever heard, food came portion were cut in half and very oily I would say very very unhealthy, Kababs are over priced and burn Nann came, we end up spending more than $150 and my group was very un-happy. next day every complained that they could not sleep all night and their stomach was upset. this was last time I will ever go there again. Sad Sad Sad shame on owners.
Had the bahari kabob and chicken tikka leg along with channa and daal with bullet naan, excellent quality and friendly atmosphere. Will return whenever I come through Birmingham again.
I have ordered 12 naans for a party at home. 30 minutes to pick up.. fine.8 of my friends siting with home made chicken qourma. Open up naans bag and surprise they were around 50% burnt 🥵. Never again.Second time invited on a niece birthday dine in and again naans were burnt.Improve please.
Very tasty, a bit pricey for small portions.
