Because there are no compounding pharmacies in my state, I used four different compounding pharmacies. Another doctor at a specialty conference suggested I talk with Dennis at Hopkinton Pharmacy. I now use Hopkinton exclusively. It takes a team to try to help very ill people and Hopkinton Drug has become part of my team (5,000 miles away!!). They are appreciated by many of us!

I love this pharmacy! I am taking low-dose naltrexone for my autoimmune diseases as well as cancer and they compound this medication for me. I always received my prescription in a timely fashion as well as I love the ease of re-ordering. Once I downloaded the app it literally takes seconds to submit my refill. I’m very impressed with the knowledge and expertise from everyone at Hopkington Drug. They take the time to review my meds and what to expect when taking them. They really care about their customers and offer suggestions for other med options to discuss with my doctor when necessary. They have a great turn around time and are great with communication. The pharmacy is terrible. I needed a compounded medication for my dog which they claimed they had to get an ingredient on something theyd been getting regular orders for each month. They call me days after I sent in for a refill to let me know of this and left a voicemail. I called them back and the pharmacist was extremely rude, not answering questions and I come to find out by multiple people that theyve had the same experience. Bring your business elsewhere as they are very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. I wouldnt even give them 1 star.

I have been using Hopkintons compounding pharmacy for five years. Hopkinton pharmacy is reliable, they compound and ship quickly, I receive updates on the status of my refill as its en route to me, and they are an all around pleasure to do business with. I cannot say enough good things about them and recommend them highly. Far and above the best pharmacy Ive ever used.

I have had to frequently deal with this pharmacy with poor customer service. Most recently I had to get a very expensive temperature sensitive Product compounded with a $50 overnight shipping cost. I was told that it would be shipped on a Monday and I would receive on Tuesday. I got no shipping notification and no package on Tuesday. I called and was treated very rudely. As previously had happened with this company, the same man on the phone acted as if It was a imposition calling to check on this package. He said I could have called shipping. I had - they didn’t answer. He then, in a huff, looked up my information and told me it was shipping today. I told him I was told it was going to be here this day and I have to constantly check a package room. His Snapped back response was “I don’t know who you talked to or what you were told but it’s shipping today”. I asked that maybe they could work on their customer service and own up to what they said and not push back on their customer. He responded “no, I just told you when it was going to get there”. I told him that I had previous issues and switched compounding pharmacies because of it. He told to use the other pharmacy. I will. Gladly. I never leave bad reviews as I am in business development and ensure great service for my customers and know what a bad review does. However, I have never experienced such poor customer treatment when spending so much out pocket money. I will never use them again - and unfortunately for them, I spend almost $600/month on compounding.

Have always called in my prescription and have always had pleasant experiences with the staff as I’m a mail order customer. I really love the app that has come out recently as it’s made it even easier to submit my refills in and store all my information right in one place. This was my first time at Hopkinton Drug; we had found out that it carried a brand of hand-made soap my wife wanted. It looks to a wonderful store, carrying not only a variety of soaps, but teas, mugs, specialty kitchen ware, stationary, a large selection of greeting cards, wrapping paper, etc.The pharmacy is a compounding pharmacy as well as one that dispenses more ordinary prescriptions.Over all, it seems to be an excellent pharmacy. I am sure that I will be back.

I have had chronic sinusitis for 6 months with troubelesome cough attacks. I have tried different treatments with little success. I then used the nasal.spray containing whISOBAX for a few days, twice dailyand the sinusitis significantly improved and coughing is rare.

I had a compound medication prescription filled at this pharmacy, the same one I had filled out 2 years ago for my daughter. The pharmacy stated that my insurance wouldnt cover it, even though it covered it previously. When I called my insurance, they stated that the code used was different then the last time and to check with the pharmacy. I called and spoke to Dennis who was not at all helpful and actually quite rude to me. He stated they filled out the order the same way as last time and that its not his issue. I asked him to please double check the previous order to this one and make sure all ingredients were exactly the same. He told me that would take me an hour and a half and I dont really feel like doing that!! Who says that to a paying customer? The whole conversation went down hill from there and ended with me hanging up on him. I then get a rude voicemail from him, telling me, again, that his customer service is fine and that he put other people on hold and checked out my history and found that they did everything the exact same way. If you did, they why am I not being covered?? I refuse to go back there, or at least I do not want to deal with someone who will talk to a customer that way.

For two months in a row I requested a refill of a compounded medication. I waited and after two weeks did not receive the medication. I had to call both times, after waiting two weeks, and the prescription hadn’t been filled. On the first occasion they said they hadn’t had the medication in stock and had I not received a call? On the second month refill (I actually started the refill process early to avoid a problem again) I was told two things; it was a billing issue although they had all of the correct information. Then I was told it wasn’t filled because of a computer “glitch” in which the order didn’t print out so it was never filled.On both occasions I have been left without medication for a week. That is really not ok for any reason.

The women who work at the gift shop are so incredibly nice!! I was looking for a hard to find item and they went out of their way to help me find it! What a cute little store too!!! 5 stars all the way!!😊😀

The veterinarian I bring my cat to had me fill a prescription at Hopkinton Drug. The pharmacists there are able to put antibiotics into a chewable cat treat form. My cat seems to like them and I am happy with the product I received. I gave Hopkinton Drug a 2 star rating because of the customer service I received. When I initially spoke to a pharmacist I asked how much it would cost to fill the prescription. They said it would be $32 for a two week supply. When I got to the pharmacy to pick it up they told me it was actually $78 for two weeks. Given the fact that the antibiotics needed to be taken for 6 weeks this was a considerable price difference. The pharmacist told me that they knew why the person on the phone told me $32, but they had to charge me $78. Two weeks later when I tried to refill my prescription I had to call three separate times to get the prescription filled. By the time they finally filled the prescription it was 6 days after my initial request for the prescription refill. Also while waiting in line to pick up my prescription three separate people who had prescriptions called into Hopkinton Drug were told by the pharmacist that the pharmacy had no record of their prescriptions. Things seemed very disorganized and unless you need a prescription compounded for your pet, I would not recommend this pharmacy for medication you can get somewhere else.

Nice and friendly staff. Lots of gift options available for quick last minute shopping. They dont carry general gift cards or other store gift cards like Gap, Macys or Best Buy.

Amazing customer service. I spoke to a nice lady in the compounding Department about my medication. She resolved my issue and did it in a very friendly manner. I have never had an issue with the drug store in the last 2 years that I have worked with them filling my compounding needs

Love to stop in town at Hopkinton Drug! They always seem to have the best selection of cards & gifts in the gift shop section. The Vitamin section is definitely a plus. They have always been very accommodating when I have brought my prescriptions there.

Staff here really dont care, My Dr send prescription two weeks back, i was waiting and buged Dr where is my prescription and they informed me they send over two weeks back, Hopkinton Drug had my prescription and they didnt show courtesy to call and inform me that your Dr has send prescription. On top when i talk to the staff and mention this they didnt care and siad every pharmacy works differently, i mean its general practice to inform patient if Dr send something over.

Typically I love to support small local businesses, but unfortunately this is one that I cannot. The pharmacist/owner, Dennis, really gives me a creepy vibe. Purchasing medication can be a bit personal and embarrassing, and anytime that I have visited Hopkinton Drug I have felt uneasy. I have mentioned this to a couple of my friends, and they said that they also felt uncomfortable here. Sadly, Id rather go to CVS.

This place needs some new management. My doctor sent a prescription into the compounding store and it took 2 weeks for them to call me. Then they quoted me a price for a 90 day supply. They charged my credit card and sent me a supply for only 30 days. When I called to see why they had charged me so much for 1/3 of the supply I was quoted they blamed my doctor even though they had quoted me the same price for a 90 day supply.

Have had frequent times when the prescription was not filled and shipped out as promised. Their staff can be rude and hard to reach for questions. After promising to send out the latest refill, we found out two days later that it was not going to go out at all. They claim that it is new MA law and it is up to us to find an alternative. I am happy that we found another pharmacy to fill our compound prescription needs, so that we wont have to abide by the poor service and excuses.

Called in a refill to the compounding department 8 days ago and not only has it not shipped but they havent even filled the prescription yet. Called yesterday and they said they would call me back with an update...nothing. Then called again today, same message, well call you back with an update. Still nothing.Horrible customer service and obviously doesnt care about their customers health.

Rude on phone when I called about a prescription, making it clear that they were too busy to talk to me.Update: When I called back to get my prescription filled as a returning customer, the owner asked if I had just dissed them on a website. After indicating that I wrote this review, he said that I should do my business elsewhere and hung up on me. Great way to handle feedback! You just managed to compound your incivility with another act of callousness.

Havent really been here, but as its across the CVS, it seems to be better because it may be a local place to get meds and I always like small businesses because they really get to know a person better if you go there all the time.

It is unfortunate that I have to write this review, but its for the benefit of other potential patients. This is the only pharmacy in the entire US that will make compounded VIP nasal spray. This is a shame considering I need this medication, but my business would be taken elsewhere if it were at all possible. NEVER leave them your credit card information since they will charge it without asking. TWICE I was promised a refund after they charged the medication to my account without my authorization. It was not until a third request that it was taken care of. The pharmacy manager also never responded to my email asking him to simply address my questions and concerns regarding this incident. Bottom line--take your business elsewhere to a more professional and compassionate compounding pharmacy. But if you need the VIP youre out of luck.

You will be surprised when going into Hopkinton Drug if you are expecting a typical drugstore. It is far from that! I would call it a specialty store that has a wide variety of items including a great selection of greeting cards, nick nacks, magazines, as well as snack items.

This pharmacy is amazing. They compound my thyroid meds. I fly out of Ohio to Massachusetts to meet the staff to thank them in person and give them a letter of appreciation! They do Compound high quality products. But Mr Michael Macione taught me something very important. The cause and effect of living in a home with toxic mold. Plus the knowledge this team has is unbelievable! Denis Katz owner of Hopkinton knows so many excellent specialist that treat rare diseases etc

I suffer from a pretty rare condition that makes it virtually impossible for my body to handle the fillers and additives contained in regular medications, name brand or generic. For the past 10 years, the compounding department at Hopkinton Drug has been invaluable to both mine and my familys lives. Dennis worked with me initially, letting just exactly what the pharmacy could do, how it worked, and helped me decide where to start. We came up with a regimen that worked and Im still on the same one today. It helps to control my pain and has really helped with my quality of life. Thank you for all you do! The service you provide to those with challenging health is nothing short of miraculous.

Hopkinton drugs is the most unprofessional and questionable drug store I have every been too. They really should be investigated for how they compound medicines and their practices. If you value your health you should avoid this drug store. They used allergens in a medication that was filled, that could have made someone I know very sick. They used it for months, and when they where questioned about it they treated it like it was not a big deal. The person was having allergic reactions, and there was nothing on the bottle that indicated that allergens where in this medication that they compounded, and they never asked about allergens. The people working in the compounding are beyond rude, and when you ask them questions they treat their customers like they are superior... and that you have no reason to ask them questions at all. I really can not believe this drug store is still in business, and would never send anyone there.

When I had a problem with my prescription, instead of finding out what my problem was, he started yelling at the top of the voice and started blaming me for the mistake.
