Went to Stanton Optical for the first time today. Ease of making an appt online was great. Upon entry was immediately greeted and directed to the waiting area. They promptly obtained my insurance information and medical background was imputed using a tablet which was nice. The pre-exam experience was also smooth and quick. My first disappointment was when they informed me the MD would be performing the exam virtually. I guess I had not done enough research prior to know this. The exam itself went smoothly but I feel that there was no time to discuss my concerns with the MD because it was exam then out. I had previous poor experience with contact lenses elsewhere so I wanted to be sure that these work before investing money that would be waisted. This is the only point that I felt less important, when I informed them I didn’t want to spend the hundreds today to make sure this is the correct prescription for me first. At that point I felt the smiles behind the masks fade. I left not even knowing what to do if these contacts are in fact the wrong prescription as I had experienced in the past from a previous optical center . Hoping in 10-14 days I can talk to someone about any concerns I may be having or assistance ordering the lenses if they do indeed work. Thankfully Google has been a big help with helping me understand side effects I am experiencing this far which would have discouraged me otherwise. I do recommend Stanton for the ease of services received.

Had my eye exam and was fitted for glasses without a wait. The sales manager, Whitney Courville, helped me with picking out my frames. This lady was patient...as I tried on about 20 plus frames that I had selected. Whitney was friendly and gave me good feedback. She will be the reason I return here for my future exams and glasses. Went in for the first time in over 10 years to get my eyes examed and was highly impressed. Not a long wait. Helped me to be able to find another pair of frames for my other broken glasses. Ms Whitney helped me and she went above and beyond to help me. So if your looking for a great place to get your vision checked or to get new glasses this is the place I would highly recommend.

My glasses broke Friday night and Saturday I went around looking for someplace that could help me last minute. I went to Stanton Optical in Houma and got helped by Jamie Garrett. She was extremely helpful step by step and made sure I had everything thing I needed before I left. She definitely went beyond what she had to do to make sure I got what I needed.

Entered the building due to a sign on the front window. Then the eye exam was done on video screen . that was the second reason for me to think twice about continuingThen she stayed the cost of my glasses was 3 times what the pic stated. She mumbled and tried to explain herself but i knew what happened. They prey on the ignorant. Then my glasses came in and immidately have me a headache. I almost got into an accident wearing them . and the final straw was they wanted to give me a check that would take 6 weeks for me to get..This place is joke and highway robbery. Don’t waste your time coming here. your eye exam is basically pointless unless you plan to buy glasses through them. the company ray ban has tried contacting their store for days now trying to get my information but no answer. i personally then tried to contact them and all you can get is people from another country who only know to follow a script. drove to their location to be met with a rude lady closing the store over an hour early. will never recommend this place to anyone and definitely never returning again.

Nah listen cause if yall dont give Whitney a raise, on god. She was incredible, we were originally going to pay about $900+ and this literal miracle from heaven got that down to around $360. Yall give her a raise rn she knows what shes doing shes incredible.

I went in not knowing if they took my husbands insurance and when I found out They didn’t they did have discounts so it was smooth sailing from there. Last Friday I called Stanton Optical to see if they did a peripheral test and depth of field test. I made sure to tell them it was for a job I was applying for and I was told that it was part of their $45 eye exam and after they assured me I could get a print out of my results if I passed I went in. After two hours I was finally done and the only thing they handed me was my prescription.The entire time I was there the sales people were pushing for me to buy glasses even though I assured them I did not need it. Even after my prescription was printed out they kept being pushy. It was definitely worse than dealing with a car salesman.The moment they swiped my credit card I no longer mattered to them. On Friday I was told I would have to wait until Monday to get something saying I passed. After two phone calls on Monday I’m told I will be emailed it by the end of the day.On Tuesday I called again and was told to come in for my paper. I finally get a doctor signed paper saying I passed but it said it was just a basic test and should not be used for occupational purposes... figures. If only I told them that was what I needed it for. Oh wait, I did.There is no chance that I would suggest anyone use this company. I can see now why they have had to deal with lawsuits in the past. To me they seem shady and don’t care once they have your money.

Customer services is HORRIBLE.I went in to change my contact back to my old ones, so they needed to contact the doctor to do so. So they took my Name and phone number and told me they would call me Wednesday ( It was Monday when i went). Wednesday passed no call. I called them Thursday and i was once again told that they would get in touch with the doctor and call me back in 30 mins. It is now Friday and still no call. Called waited on the hold line for 25 mins and no answer. Guess I dont need to see.

My sons school was concerned that he needed glasses. Not having insurance and very little money we went to Stanton optical because of there reasonable prices but as the saying goes you get what you pay for and we got absolutely nothing for our 45 dollars. Actually we got a paper saying we need to go to a real eye doctor. So not only did we have to pay for an eye exam and was told my son needed glasses but then we were told the doctor on the computer did not feel comfortable giving him glasses and we will have to go pay for a 2nd eye exam somewhere else because of his reduced acuity

Absolutely in LOVE with this eye doctor. They not only did they meet my expectations but they went above and beyond what I didn’t know I needed. The assistant manager Whitney was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly whom made sure that I not only walked out with more than one pair of glasses but she saved me over $500 without insurance!!! I would hands down recommend this business to every single individual I know. From the moment you walk into the door to the second you leave every single employee makes sure you are taken care of and you feel at home.

Called to make an appointment and asked the guy 3 times if they accepted medicade and he said yes then I go to the appointment and tell me they don’t accept it and all they can give me is a small discount WASTED MY TIME. the desk ladies were also very rude.

My experience at Stanton Optical in Houma, LA was excellent! The exam was very fluid and quick and all of the associates were extremely polite and helpful. Holly was a great help in making sure I stick with my budget and she and Whitney were a big help finding my frames. I also received a complementary pair of sunglasses with the purchase of my eyeglasses (which I was able to go home with the very same day!) The only reason I didn’t leave a 5- star review was because there should be more frame options under $100. But, that’s is just me being nit-picky. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone in need of vision treatment to visit this Stanton Optical location.

I went to the houma location hoping for a deal. They worked with me to get what I needed within the budget I could afford. I was there maybe 1.5 hours total, and I was able to leave with my glasses at the end of that time. I would definitely suggest checking them out! Very friendly staff!

This place is incredible! The whole is experience was quick but I still felt like the staff gave me their undivided attention and time. I used to have to call a week in advance for an eye appointment— never again!

They were able to give me discounted rates for having medicaid. Got a really nice pair of glasses that have a warranty for under $100.

Holly and her manager were rude and seemed weirdly offended because I politely kept declining their offer AT THIS TIME. Bullying and teaming up on with a manager isn’t going to help me purchase contacts from you guys, sorry. The exam itself was pretty quick and to the point, I just didn’t like the idea of not being able to ask questions to an actual doctor.

I cant say there are too many places in houma that are worth 5 stars but this place is worth a million. They where so accommodating and sweet. Whitney Triche was so amazing and I couldnt have been happier. She helped me pick out my glasses and helped me find the most affordable one. The amount of money I saved is unbelievable. Plus I got my glasses the same day! The wait time is next to nothing. This is one of the best eye places in Houma! ♡♡♡ Couldnt be happier.

Okay guys I just want to share how amazing my experience was at this place.First off they have sooooo Many Cute frames to choose from. I love the styles they carry!!!Everyone was very friendly very welcoming. They were fast at everything. I wasn’t so fast at picking my glasses tho because they were so many cute frames to choose from. I had a girl named Whitney Triche help me pick. She was awesome and made my experience more enjoyable. We finally picked a frame and here’s the best part I got them that day.I didn’t have to wait on my lenses to come in. How cool is that !? I’m definitely recommending this place too everyone I know.There prices aren’t too highAnd they do except Medicaide yay !!!

Worst experience ever! They will do everything and say everything to make you have and eye exam that will prescribe glasses even if you don’t need one! Me and my son had our eyes checked in Stanton Opticals on 25th of July, my intention was purely to get my son’s eyes checked as he was rubbing them. I had no idea, nor was informed that there’s no eye doctor on board, and that exams re done by Drs from TV. Was suspicious at once, my son was prescribed glasses, and staff- Jamie in particular had reassured us that tests are 100% guaranteed and trusted and we can double check if we want to, she said my son does need prescription, plus it stated that he had an astigmatism. I was very sceptical as half a year ago, his vision was checked and it was good, no need for glasses. So trusting them we ordered two pairs of glasses and lenses, and I paid total amount of 600$ for both pairs! However I kept on thinking, doubting and called Stanton the same day to cancel my order, they kept putting my calls on hold, giving me other numbers to contact, that were impossible to reach! Finally on Friday I spoke to Jamie (sales person, who sold us our frames), told her my concerns, she said that at this point it’s impossible to cancel the order (not even a day passed, lol)! And in the brochure it does say that we’re glad to issue a refund if you’re not satisfied with your purchase! She assured me again, I told her that I need a second opinion from a reputable local Dr to whom I can talk and ask questions in person, she referred me to one of them, I called that clinic straight away and was lucky that they had available appointment in one day. So on Monday I had my son’s eyes examined properly with an Eye specialist, and he didn’t need any prescription nor glasses! I was soooo disappointed to say the least! I reached the same day Stanton Optical by phone, told Jamie everything, she said she will get back to me with solution, and that was it! At this point I only need my money back, the only solution, no further discussions!

I had an amazing experience today at Stanton, super friendly people, fast and simple walk-in appointment, I was able to save over $400!!! And I got my glasses and sunglasses in the same day!
