I have been gone to Eye Care Associates since 2017. Dr. Hage always is patient with me and listen to my concerns and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I am very satisfied with everything theyve done.

My oldest daughter and I had back to back Exams, she for contacts and a new pair of glasses for myself. Ive seen Dr. Sylvie El Hage twice now for yearly eye exams and both times were amazing. I strayed once and went to a Warby Parker affiliated optometrist and the difference was stark. Dr Sylvie does the most thorough glasses/contact prescription adjustments Ive ever had. Ive never felt rushed or left with a prescription that was anything less than perfect. Shes also got a great bedside manner. She listens well and has never dismissed any of my concerns. Her experience and expertise is unparalleled. The attached glasses store also has a nice selection and shell work with you to pick out frames that fit your aesthetic and are right for your prescription. The office staff is friendly and easy to work with. I send all my friends here!

Dr. Sylvie El Hage is the best! Very personable and knowledgeable. She picked out the perfect glasses on the first try! :) Also, Rosa is amazing. She was incredibly helpful with going over my insurance coverage and calling my insurance provider several times to confirm things. I really appreciate her help!

Dont come to this place trust me they charge 2x more expensive than anywhere else and Dr Hage he is really bad. He try to charge me two times for ortho K and the ortho K that he orders for me dont even work and he said that was my fault. I wish I never come here this place is a nightmare. Dont trust those 4 5 stars review that they have that make up for that.

Bad experience with this doctor (Dr Sami El Hage) and practice. I took my son for an Ortho-k evaluation immediately after the dr’s daughter had seen my son for an eye exam (appointment with Dr Sylvie El Hage was actually very pleasant).After rushing through the eye exam and repeating everything his daughter did, he asked us to sign up for a treatment plan that was 2x the price discussed a day earlier. When I said I would think about it, the doctor said, “Just put it on your credit card”. Well, thank you for the condescending suggestion! Next, he said we owe him ~$500 for the “consultation” if we decide not to go for the treatment. There was no mention of this when I made the appointment.I’m glad I did not bite on the sales pitch. My son got treated at a better facility where the doctor is extremely caring and the price was 1/2 what I was quoted here. In fact, I called around and all optometrists charge less than $100 for an Ortho-K evaluation. Not going back to this practice that does not explain their exorbitant prices beforehand.

This is the best practice Ive ever been to! Dr. Sylvie is with you every step of the way. After the full exam, she helps pick frames that are best suited for you! It was super helpful as I was clueless on where to begin. An excellent Doctor!

I had a wonderful experience the first time I visited the clinic. However, this year has been impossible to speak with the lady in charge of running insurance. All I need is to order my glasses. They are one of the few clinics who sell the brand I am looking for which is the reason I have given them so many opportunities/driven an hour to the clinic.I went to the clinic end of December, she wasn’t there & no one else could help me. I asked for her to call me back, no call back. I called again beginning of January & ever since & I still have not heard back. I wonder where the messages/notes they leave her go...Sad way to loose a patient. I know there is a lot of new staff but I shouldn’t have to wait for 2 months for a call back.

I cannot say enough good thing about this place!! Dr. Sylvie is so amazing! I’ve always been scared about going to the eye doctor but she makes me feel very comfortable and at ease. I am new to Houston and needed to replace my glasses. With things just opening back up from the Covid19 shutdown I stopped at the eye clinic due to the “open” sign placed out front. I was greeted by a young lady with a very happy and professional attitude. She appeared very happy to help me. With the help of another more experienced front desk person I was able to get a same day appointment. The doctor I saw was Sylvie El Hague. I must say she really impressed me both with both her knowledge and her ability to “teach” me. She readily answered every question and never seemed put off by my asking. She took her time and was very thorough. Then the thing I always hate about buying glasses is knowing which frames to buy but she immediately took me to pick out and get fitted for glasses. I have never had a doctor go to that degree to help me. The prices were very fair and I must say her “taste” in glasses elevated my appearance and confidence. The service I was given is a great example of the difference in a family practice versus corporate places. I like the “family” approach at the Eye Care Associates I much better than the Big store take a number way.

Excellent office manner, employees, and up to date test. I will be referring my husband, who is a diabetic, to her for his yearly exam.TWO negatives, for me, the cost of the Eyewear and not having my script in hand when I left. She is excellent with fitting and measuring for your Eyewear and I know my glasses will be perfect, but the cost is more than breaking the bank. This is even after a discount.

My visit to Eye Care Associates was by far the best eye exam I’ve had in the 23 years I’ve lived in Houston! I have tried several different eye doctors over the years and never have been able to get my prescription just right. Dr Sylvie El Hage is absolutely the best! She was extremely attentive and thoughtful during the exam (actually took the time to clearly explain what each test was designed for and what the results meant). She was able to fine tune my prescription to the point where I’m seeing better then ever! She even custom fit my contact lenses so I no longer have any associated eye irritation. Highly recommend!

I blindly (almost literally) googled emergency eye care and clicked on the first place I seen. They found me a time slot same day. Went in with a terrible eye injury caused by my toddler lol. My experience here was excellent. My appointment was on a Saturday, which was great because I didn’t have to take time off work. They have the best customer service, they really care about you; I thought they were going to try to get me out ASAP since it was a Saturday but I did not feel rushed or anything when I was trying on frames.Dr. Sylvie does a great job; she is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything. I finally found a great optometrist who doesnt see me as a number. I went to Eye Care Associates for my annual exam and was very pleased from the moment I walked in. The staff at the front desk were very attentive and welcoming. Then I was seen by Dr. Sylvie, who took the time to explain everything thoroughly. She also offered to me different contact lens choices, describing the benefits of each kind of lens for my type of eye. Eye Care Associates have a great selection of frames. Since I also use regular glasses, I am very happy with the ones I chose. I dont live near their office, but the 40 minutes drive is worth it. I highly recommend them.

My experience with Dr. Sylvie was amazing! As a keratoconus patient, my case requires more attention than usual. However, Dr. Sylvie blew my expectations away by going above and beyond. She recommended I switch from piggyback contacts to scleral lenses. The transition took some getting used to and I had to return for a second fitting, but it was all worth it. Now I can see better than ever!Even the front desk staff is amazing! I definitely recommend giving Eye Care Associates a visit, especially if you have a tricky vision case like mine.

I was an early cornea transplant recipient in the 1970s. About a dozen ophthalmologist came down from Houston to observe the surgery at UTMB Galveston. Over time being fitted with lenses has become more and more of an ordeal. The scleral lens fitting prior to seeing Sylvie could only achieve 20/30 and 20-40. Sylvie has brought me to 20/20 and 20/25 and with greater comfort fit as well!! Thank you so much for the best vision Ive had in years!!!

Ive been seeing Dr. Sylvie for many years now, and I am always satisfied at how through and caring she is. I have Keratoconus (has to do with the shape of my cornea), and Dr. Sylvie was able to fit my irregular corneas with Scleral Lenses that fit perfectly and comfortably on my eyes. Since having Dr. Sylvie fit me with these contact lenses I am able to see 100% better than before my initial visit to her. Even though I am a repeat patient now, she always takes the time to go over the detailed process and instructions that go with wearing specialty contact lenses. I always look forward to my annual eye exams, as Dr. Sylvie and her staff make me feel welcomed and comfortable with having them take care of all my vision needs. On my most recent visit last week, Dr. Sylvie even took the time to help me find a pair of sunglasses that I have gotten numerous compliments on from total strangers, which I must thank Dr. Sylvie for taking her time for me to try on about 15 pairs before we found the perfect pair. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND. Whether you have an eye emergency or you just need a regular eye exam, go see Dr. Sylvie. I got a cut on my at 7pm on a Sunday, and she was willing to drop everything and meet me at her office by 7:30pm to get me taken care. That was the second eye cut I have had in the past year. The first I went to the emergency room. Going to the emergency room cost me 6x more money and did almost nothing to help. As long as I live in Houston, I will continue to see the kind and professional Dr. Sylvie at Eye Care Assoc. for anything ocular.

I went to the emergency room because I had accidentally opened can old cut on my eye. The Dr and resident at the ER couldnt find anything wrong, so I set an appt later with Dr. Hage. Great doctor! Found exactly what was wrong, gave me the Rx, and I was able to blink without tearing up the 1st time in days!! Very highly recommend.

If I could give them more stars I would! I honestly dislike getting air puffed into my eye or the thought of being told my eyesight is not doing well frightens and discourages me BUT Dr. El Hage, Sylvie makes me feel welcomed, at ease, and comfortable! Of course youre encouraged to get your only pair of eyes checked annually and recommended to be dilated (they have this awesome machine that dilates your eyes without changing your vision at all!) I love it! Ive been going to this place for years now and as long as theyre still open and active, Ill remain their patient! Ive referred my entire family here and they also love both of the doctors too! Thank you Dr. El Hage for ensuring my eyes are taken cared of properly! Never a sloppy job so I am not required to visit frequently because I listen to her and does what she advises my eyes need!

I have an extremely physical career but for some reason believe I have a models job. The Practice worked with me to replace the glasses ad frames. Plus the service is tp notch....

The optometrist tries to push unnecessary tests that are not covered by insurance companies such as VSP.They use high pressure sales tactics to push these tests on patients. These tests solely exist to line the pockets of the practice.In addition, the front office staff is both rude and incompetent, from hanging up on clients to providing the wrong prescription details to the contacts suppliers.Finally, the contacts are significantly marked up, even by optometrist office norms. You are better off buying from any reputable online sites or from Walgreens, Sams club, or Costco.There are too many other quality optometrists in the area to deal with this questionable practice.

Dr. Sylvie El Hage is the most professional person I have had the pleasure of dealing with when it comes to eye care. She will take the time to listen to your concerns and provide the latest technology for you to achieve a positive out come. My last visit to her she identified that I hade cataracts on both eyes. One worse than the other. She directed me to herspecialist and I had the lense replacement done. I now have 20/15 in right eye! My experience with Dr. Sylvie El Hages office was nothing short of wonderful, from the minute I scheduled my appointment to the moment I left the office. I found Dr. Sylvies office on ZocDoc on a Thursday and had an appointment for that upcoming Saturday. Unfortunately, the time I selected on ZocDoc was not available, but that was not a problem as the office contacted me the very next day with a new time that was actually thirty minutes earlier than my original appointment. When I arrived, parking was easy to find and I was given my new patient paperwork (which was one page, front and back). The office uses the OPTOMAP technology to take a picture of your retina (extra $39 not covered by insurance which I picked) but you are still welcome to pick standard dilation when given your new patient paperwork. Once I finished my paperwork, I waited in the waiting room for about 10 minutes. Once seated in my exam room, Dr. Sylvie followed within minutes. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Sylvie. From the time we met until the end of my visit, she was kind, caring, highly knowledgeable and took her time with my visit. Throughout my visit, Dr. Sylvie made sure I knew what was going on and answered any and all questions I had. Once my exam was complete, Dr. Sylvie personally took the time to help me pick my new pair of glasses. There were plenty of options to pick from and we tried on about 20 pairs of glasses before I finally picked. With every pair, Dr. Sylvie was honest about what looked good and what didnt if I asked. Even though I was the last patient, I was being rushed to pick my glasses. Dr. Sylvie made sure we worked with my budget and found the perfect pair of glasses. I have been in Houston for about a year and a half and I am so glad that I have found my new optometrist. Dr. Sylvie and her entire office are wonderful and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

When I first stepped into the office I was greeted by a sweet receptionist. I was promptly seen by Dr. Sylvie El-Hage. I have had some complications with my eye in the past and Im very particular about where I get my eye exams. Dr. Sylvie was very thorough with her exam and she explained everything to me. She is very knowledgable and also made me feel completely comfortable at all times. She even explained about my previous eye injuries and surgeries that my other doctors didnt mention. She fit me for some of the best fitting glasses Ive ever had. She exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Dr. Sylvie to all of my friends and family.

Dr Sylvia ElHage did a fabulous job and we were very satisfied with her approach and demeanor..My only gripe is that it literally took a month to get my prescription reading glasses, which seemed to be an issue with the lab that was working on my glasses .

Never again!!! It has been a couple of years since Ive been to ECA. At that time, both myself and my husband had eye exams and purchased glasses. I felt that Dr. Sami performed very thorough exams on both of us and I was pleased with that aspect of our visit to ECA. We did, however, experience several problems with them regarding customer service. First off, I told ECA when we first arrived that I wanted written prescriptions for both of us upon completion of the exams. They did not provide the written prescriptions as requested. I made a couple of follow up phone calls requesting written prescriptions and they were still not provided. Texas law requires eye care professionals to provide written prescriptions when they are requested and thus ECA violated the law and my rights in not complying with my request. Second, within just a couple weeks time, my husbands frame became damaged thru no fault of his. The frame apparently had some sort of manufacturers defect. ECA refused to repair the frame or offer him a replacement frame. Was the frame not on warranty? I dont recall. But to have the frame fail within just a couple of weeks was totally unacceptable to us and ECAs refusal to offer any kind of remedy was absurd and downright infuriating. We decided then and there that we would NOT do business with ECA again. Third, their prices for eye wear are exorbitant. They charged me over $900 for an eye exam and a pair of glasses. So, why am I writing this review a couple years late? Because just today, we went to another eye care professional for exams and new glasses and had a totally positive experience. ECA is deplorable compared to the services that we received elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. There are many other eye care professionals that offer services that are a lot more affordable and have a much higher regard for any necessary aftercare and customer service.

Eye Care Associates are so professional! I needed to change eye doctors-long story, wont bash the old, ill just praise the new! Dr. Sylva was very thorough with me. For 12 years my prescription hadnt changed, and Ive been using the same brand of contacts, Acuvue Oasis. The past few years, the doctors have been saying that my eyes show signs of contact overuse, and that I need to take my contacts out more often. Dr. Sylva was the first to explain the vascularity of my eyeball, and exactly what is happening (oxygen deprivation). Instead of just saying to give my eyes a break, she recommended I change brands and use daily contacts that breathe better. Not only this, but she discovered a better prescription for my eyes, and Im now seeing better and more comfortably than ever before, for no extra $$. Dr. Sylva also spent time with me trying on glasses, as I told her I needed a new pair, and she gave her honest feedback, which is greatly appreciated since my rugged taste, or lack thereof if im going to be honest, is hard to trust. More than a doctor, a true professional. The front office was warm and friendly as well! Rosa and Abbey are wonderful. I think I found my home for eye care. This is a legitimate review, not paid for!!! I was just there on Halloween, the day before my Stros won the WS! :-) Give them a try over in the Galleria area.

Sylvie has been taking care of my eyes for the last 4 years now, and I could not ask for a better doctor today I read 20/20 vision that never happened before 🤩,she always going above and beyond my expectations!!!

I went to eye care associates for a checkup and I had a great experince. Dr. El Hage was very patient and explained everything she was doing as well as why she was doing it. Ive always had issues with contacts but with the recommendation Dr. El Hage gave me, Im loving my new contacts. Her selection of glasses are incredible and are making me double guess not wearing glasses!

Dr Sylvie was an amazing Doctor and she really took the time to listen to my concerns and I will be recommending her all my friends and family. It is refreshing to have a doctor take the time to address all my problems.

Dr. El Hage has been taking care of my sons eyes for many years now. He informed us about a non surgical process called Orthokeratology and it was the best decision I have made for my son! He no longer wears glasses! He sleeps in his CKR contacts and when he wakes up, he takes them out and can see clearly all day. Very intelligent man. Apparently he designed the CKR lenses! Highly recommend him!Also, they have a great selection of eye glasses and sunglasses.

Dr Hage treats me like I am her aged father with utmost commitment and personal touch. Her diagnosis and care treatment are both superb and professionally done. She discusses my problems with me and works out the solutions with full explanations of the several options, including benefits and disadvantages. She remains my preferred eye doctor of choice.
