This is a great store. Sometimes they have great sales. I do teach reupholstery in Katy,Texas. My students have been purchasing leather and hides for years at Tandy Leather. We have had the privilege of working with their leather and we love what we get. Take a look what you can do.

This store has an unpredictable services, employees keep changing constantly and customer services are up and down. I bought a tin of cement glue by the advice of the saleswoman. I clearly told her that I need a strong glue for my leather shoes had a rubber sole comes out. She insisted and guaranteed me this is a strongest glue for it. I kept verified and confirmed to her to make sure if it’s the one. When I got home, I tried on the rubber sole of my leader shoe but it formed a layer of shining smooth slippery and peeled off the sole and dried out before it even sticked together. I followed the instructions and use rubber band to hold it together for at least a day but nothing glued or sticked together. I called back to the store. Instead of admitting they gave me the wrong product or even offered to changed to the right one. They want me to continue to apply it and goes through the process again and again. The store hires inexperience and shallow knowledge employees to assist the store. What’s a waste of money for the store and time of customer. I will take the item back and I know I will have to put up with an ugly fight with them. Do not come to this store. People here are desperate to make a sale and treat this store like a flea market services. 😞😤🥺 a sad and bad store

Great Place! I had so many questions and needed a lot of help and the sales person “Jamie” was extremely helpful. She gave me so much time in explaining the specific leather and tools that I needed for my project. Not only was she very professional in answering all my questions but she also has work shop to teach me how to complete my project.This is a First Class business and the folks working there exceed my expectations and are the most friendliest people you can imagine.

1st time visit.Associate turned out to be the store manager. He was super friendly and assisted me with everything I needed. No question as too dumb. Also super kind to explain how to do next steps for my project, since I was curious if i was doing it correctly.Next time I need leather or accessories I know where to go!

Wide range of products and very reasonably priced. Excellent customer service in particular to Scott, store manager who went that extra mile to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase.

I use to love Tandy Houston locations! I started making leather handbags in 2012 and have spent an excessive amount of money with this company... I also convinced my peers (1,200 plus) at the school I attend for making handbags to give them a try.... Ive seen a few managers come and go but through them all I have bonded with them all (except for one that was a racist). I took a break for a year to write and produce a stage play for battered women. When I come back to pick up where I left off, I took a trip to my favorite place only to find a complete new staff, one that dont even acknowledge you, ask if you need help etc! I approached the staff member at the register and had to wait for him to take a break from his cell phone. I asked him about the pricing that Tandy previously gave me and he wouldnt honor it. I was ok with that being that I pay for what I want. Long story short, he was rude and said something to me in front of everyone and I didnt respond like I wanted to!!! I contacted corporate, they had me to call the store manager. When I called he was ready for me with a preconceived idea of what happened based on his rude employees details of what happened! He lied on me saying I wanted him to give me merchandise at a price that is insulting to my character.... that offended me more than how he spoke to me!!! My sewing studio in my home proves that I pay for what I want and would never low ball anyone!!!!!!in the end the district manager did NOTHING, corporate did NOTHING and I still made a purchase. I held those items never cutting them because everyday I felt worse for spending my money there! I eventually took it back and got a refund.... I called another store in Dallas where one of the managers relocated too but later decided to just give it up... if I cant go to the local stores because they are rude at one and at the other store the manager never know the pricing (because hes never there) so he over charge you for things that are on sale!!!! Im so done with Tandy, they care more about making money than the people who are bringing them their hard earned money!!!! Their prices are always changing i guess depending on the quota for the month.... Its unfortunate and I will miss shopping locally but my school and I will not give Tandy another dime!!!

The store is well laid out on the inside. Nice selection of products. HOWEVER, the lady working there completely ignored us and then acted put-out to check us out...were spending money...youd think shed be happy to do that part.

Have an idea of what you need prior to going to store. It is hit or miss if the staff will be busy or doing something unrelated to helping customers.This one is better than the one in Pasadena

Kenny, Carrie and the manager are always there to help. Ive now made it the only Tandy I go to now. The other one up at 1960 has a manger that could really care less and the store is always messy! So! If you want great service and clean sales area come to this store! :)

Four employees at the store. One hanging merchandise and three others at the counter doing nothing. Walked around the store for ten minutes looking with absolutely no interaction from any of the employees. Will spend my money elsewhere.

The store was new in a new strip mall. The store was roomy and well organized and the manager was courteous and helpful. I have been to almost all the Tandy Leather Stores in the state and this is my favorite by initial experience.

This store was more organized and nicer overall than most Tandys that I have been in. The staff was polite and helpful. The manager helped me find what I was looking for and let me borrow his thickness gauge so I could find the right weight of leather.

I have been to this location on multiple occasions, and Id have to say it was pleasant experience. The staff is super helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to finding the right touches for your leather projects. They stock everything from hardware, to tools, and even the raw material itself.As far as the leather selection, the scrap bin is a bit of a joke (itty bitty pieces of leather you can hardly even make a wallet from), and also really wish their materials were cheaper (compared to well known leather stockists in nycs fashion district).However, they did negotiate prices on a piece of belt leather that I was eyeing, which was a huge plus! If you get a chance to go, definitely go when theyre having a huge sale...check the website before you go :)
