I have gone on SCUBA diving with Henry all around the world over the past 15 years, and he has been an excellent trip leader and dive instructor. He always puts safety first, and I would recommend him to divers of all levels.

My wife and I walked in for masks and snorkels and Henry was very helpful. He understood our diving levels/needs and was able to provide us with exactly what what we needed. Will definitely recommend. Henry is very passionate about diving and we will come back again for sure.

Henry was super great at explaining the equipment and answering my questions. I went in with a basic idea of what Id need for my trip and he helped me select gear within my budget.

Henry and Steve were knowledgeable and helped me every step of the way! I went from the most unfamiliar diver to Open Water certified in a short amount of time! They provided the classroom, pool time and equipment needed. We even discussed equipment adjustments and log book insights after my first several dives. They are my main contact, and I’d strongly recommend their shop!

Avoid this place if you are in need of any diving gear. I was a client of over 10 years at sea sports scuba (which unfortunately closed) and never had issues. I took my computers for battery replacement and after being told everything was checked by them, 2 days before my trip realized the computer was not working properly. Although Henry said he checked it, it was now only 24 hrs later malfunctioning. I was pushed slowly and swiftly into purchasing a NEW computer and even had to turn in the old one in order to get special pricing . 5 days later while on vacation, I find out the same computer is on the SUUNTO website available at half the cost of what I paid with special pricing. Imagine my shock !!! I immediately contacted Henry from Mexico and he quickly downplayed and explained he had no idea what was going on...... upon my return to the US, I immediately took the computer back to him with the receipt wanting a refund or at least partial credit to the new price. I was informed that there were no returns or exchanges and that the computer was now considered used..... There was nothing he could do, they kept my old computer and did not even attempt to give some sort of credit. Bottom line, I hate to admitted, I got ripped off !!!!!! paid $1300 and gave my old computer which was partially functioning for a new computer that 5 days after my purchase was $699. Oh well, live and learn .......... also important to clarify for all other reviews written here.... Henry is NOT the owner, he is just the manager of the store. ..... Reason why he had very little interest or capability in helping me.

The store clerk was not knowledgeable and gave inaccurate and opinionated information about what we were looking for not knowing that my boyfriend is a Master scuba diver. When I told him I would be taking my open water class this month and I need a 5mm suit he told me “don’t take the class now” because it’s cold. My boyfriend asked To handle a product after sanitizing as requested and the sales clerk said well that doesn’t mean anything and was reluctant to hand him the item.

Scuba diving can be intimidating for a first timer like myself and can be a dangerous and expensive sport. Henry helped me every step of the way, from getting my certification to my first boat dive. He provided amazing equipment and served as dive master on my first trip to the Philippines. He demonstrated great care in helping me navigate the ocean for the first time and it was an incredible experience that I will cherish for a lifetime. Henry is my go-to dive master.

Henry (owner) is extremely knowledgable as a master diver. He provided excellent recommendations for snorkeling equipment I used on my trip to Mexico. We had a fantastic time using our high quality equipment.

Henry is the best! He and his staff trained me in a one on one setting, and made sure I had the right equipment for ME. He trains you to know what to do in all worst case scenarios which made me feel very secure and safe, so that I could enjoy my diving experience to the fullest. After I was certified, Henry took a small group diving in Mexico. It was AMAZING! Two dives a day for three days. We didnt have to plan or worry about anything. He really knows how to roll out the red carpet for his people. Great dives, awesome food, good people. If you want a run of the mill training and dive experience, go somewhere else. Henry does it the bucket list way. Youll check some boxes when you plan your adventure with Henry. Hes so cool.

Mr. Henry was very experienced and knowledgeable as a dive master. His class is the perfect blend to learn the skills required for a safe and memorable diving experience without taking the fun out of it. He makes sure you get the skills after taking the class and everything is taken care of for you throughout the class with you not worrying and just enjoying the group experience. I went on two diving trips to Belize and Philippines with him and some other fellow divers. The trips were well organized. The diving sites he picked were amazing! Lots of fish and corals. Henry is a great guide on trips, very professional. He made sure all group members and their needs were met, whether it was great food or our travel arrangements or sharing his experiences. Met lots of other divers through him and now hangout with many of them even after returning from the trips.

Ive taken training and one dive trip from Henry as well as bought equipment. I find him extremely competent and customer-oriented.He is focused on diving safety and comfort.I went with Henry and 4 other divers to Yucatan Mexico in May 2016. It was a most enjoyable trip due to Henrys detail planning and years of taking clients to this location. This trip was by far the best dive experience Ive had in my 20+ years of diving.

If im not mistaken, this establishment used to be called Houston Scuba Academy and was located on either Hillcroft or Chimney Rock. I remember taking swimming lessons there as a kid ca. 1980. Much success to you in your new endeavors and location.

The owner is very rude and lost all interest when we didnt want to buy the overly expensive technical diving equipment he offered. Really, dont even bother going into this place. We immediately headed to Oceanic Ventures a short drive away and received great service and reasonable gear.

Wife & I visited this shop on Black Friday. The owner, Henry really doesnt have the best people skills. Very arrogant and his equipment is very overpriced. I will not be going back nor referring anyone this guys store. Too many other choices out there. If you are the owner and youre reading this, turn on the a/c for your customers! Its a nice touch to a biz. Plus it may encourage them to spend more time listening to you talk about yourself.

His place is over priced and terrible. I went in and bought two fold-able snorkels for 50 DOLLARS EACH. I should have turn and run at that point but I didnt. While he was giving me the receipt he literally covered NO REFUNDS EXCHANGE WITHIN 30 DAYS with his hand until i had signed the receipt. he never said anything either. it was only until i got home that i saw that. The snorkel does not fit on my mask at all or in my mouth. not really sure what im supposed to do with 100 dollars to an overpriced scuba store.

My wife and I visited the Pro Scuba Diving shop to inquire about the dive certification process for her (I am open water certified). The owner, Henry, gave us a rundown on the process, in the meantime telling us all about his own exploits (apparently he gets someone to watch his shop several times a year and takes groups to great dive places in the world). He is a big fan of owning your own equipment and basically said you need to buy all the equipment before getting certified so you can do it in your own stuff. This represents an investment of about $2,500 which my wife was not ready to commit to. He was very arrogant and seems to want to deal only with people in his “class” of diving, and he lost a lot of interest in us at that point. We did buy a mask for her which I thought was quite overpriced. He acted like he was throwing in two solutions for cleaning and defogging the mask, but when we looked at the receipt later, he had charged us $28 for two very small bottles of soap! He called them a “cleaning and care kit.”If you go to his shop, be ready for his arrogance and make sure you have checked prices elsewhere or I believe you will pay more than you should for everything.
