My wife and I went to the Westheimer store this morning looking for a rowing machine. Joe greeted us and spent quite a bit of time with us discussing the pros and cons of the different resistance mechanisms (air, water, magnetic) and construction types - which would affect footprint and storability. We ended up buying a Matrix rower. Picked it up at their warehouse, brought it home and assembled it. It works great! And, it’s very quiet. Overall, very impressed with Joe and Fitness Unlimited.

This was my second elliptical purchase from Fitness Unlimited. The first time was literally the day before the big COVID shutdown in 2020. I moved into Houston since then but I wanted to buy from this company again due to the great experience on the first purchase. I called in and spoke to Joe Eddy at the Westheimer location. My 18-year-old Landice treadmill finally died on me. So as I was in the market for a new treadmill.I’d actually purchased my old treadmill from Fitness Unlimited “back in the day”. And while I did shop around online and visited a few other stores, I also decided to stop in to fitness Unlimited to see what they had.While the store has an overall modest footprint, they have an pretty decent selection of treadmill, elliptical, stationary bikes, rowers, etc.Mr. Andy, the store manager, couldn’t have been more professional, friendly, and helpful. He took the time to explain to me the various aspects of different treadmills and ellipticals. I was curious about the rowers, but ultimately decided against those.Ultimately, Mr. Andy offered what I thought was a good deal on a high-quality treadmill. He also arranged a convenient time for the treadmill to be delivered and installed.I should also note that the gentleman who delivered install the treadmill were fantastic. They got my old treadmill down from the third floor, and installed the new one (back up to the third-floor), in less than 45 minutes. It was extremely impressive.So, I would recommend Fitness unlimited, and Mr. Eddie, without reservation. I would absolutely recommend you at least visit there before making a purchase elsewhere, as I suspect you would find pretty comparable prices. And certainly outstanding service.

This is such a great store! I came in thinking it was a gym, but immediately realized they actually sell the equipment. Instead of shunning me for walking in for the wrong reason, Andy was very polite and understanding. After asking what I like to use at the gym most, he showed me his ellipticals. After thinking about it, I realized that as far as equipment goes, I really only use the elliptical when I go to the gym. I have always been an avid runner. I was injured in an accident and my knee was in bad shape. Following several surgeries and tons of rehab, I did not think I would be able to run like I used to (5-8 miles daily). I went in to look for a treadmill with the best shock absorption possible. After asking several questions to determine what would be the best treadmill for me, Andy made a recommendation that wasnt a treadmill at all! He showed me a machine called the Zero Runner. He has also dealt with several injuries and can truly relate. It was very weird at first, but Andy walked me through it. Once I got going, I really started to let loose. I could not believe how GREAT it felt to really stride out and run again with NO IMPACT!!! Thanks for the great insight Andy!

I would suggest shopping around before making any purchases here. I was interested in purchasing a trap bar which run about $100 online, this store was selling the exact same product for $300+. I understand there being a markup on products in-store, but thats crazy. The salesperson tried to tell me how expensive they are. Do your research.
