Hours say until 6:00 pm. Walked in at 5:35 and was told were closed.
One of my favorite parks in Houston which actually has over 50,000 acres of parks. This park has the Houston Zoo, Miller outdoor theater, Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, Pedal Boats, Lakes and a train ride through it all. Located across street from Texas Medical Center, Rice University and the Museum District.
I stopped by the gift shop to purchase train tickets and ended up making a few additional purchases, its a cute little shop with some great items.
Fun place so much to do and see. You can ride the choo-choo train, whether young or old. Its great fun. You can stop at the Houston Zoo. You can visit the Japanese Gardens. You can walk up the spiral walkway for a overview of the park. You can walk a little ways to Imax and it has many exhibits and there are numerous museums of variety to fit your interest. On Thursday evenings, some of the museums are FREE. Inquire to be sure. These kinds of things are subject to change without public notice. Anyway, get out and have a good time. Choi..
After riding the train, you exit throgh the gift shop, usually have some neat stuff, hard to get the grandkids throgh without buying them something
Great for a fun gift shop.
