I brought Brian a 24k gold bracelet. After testing and verifying the gold, he gave me a very far price. He paid me cash. It was a very straight forward process. This is the best place for buying or selling gold. We took our gold to three places. The first offered 862 dollars. The second place offered 1020. Then we were quoted by Houston Gold merchants 2005. I had an excellent experience with Houston Gold Merchants recently. I went to sell some dental gold, did that along with three KRUGERRANDs because of their very fair pricing. Rachel M. was very helpful taking time to answer all of my questions. I never understood the acid testing so she tested the dental gold in front of me. I like the appointment process as it limits crowding and the focus is on the customer. The owner Brian came in the office and I had a nice chat with him. I highly recommend HGM.

Brian is an honest, thoughtful buyer. He doesnt pressure you into a decision you are not comfortable with and he is willing to do the research and even take a special item to a jeweler or antique seller to see how they would value the item- in case its worth more than the melt-down price. He did this for me with an old bracelet and when it turned out that the antique dealer wouldnt buy it, and I wasnt comfortable selling a family piece for the melt-down value, he put no pressure on me at all. He also suggested that I could hang on to it as a sort of savings account and possibly sell it when gold prices go up more. He got nothing out that particular deal since I kept my piece, but he certainly has me as a very loyal customer!! He is very up front, shows you the current market value, weighs everything and tests the metal in front of you.

I have been selling gold coins for some time. Im sorry to admit that they had been cheating on me until I met Brian. He took the time to explain to me how the buying / selling of gold works, what to look for on the internet before selling (market price), and how to do the calculation so that one knows more or less how much is an acceptable amount to sell. Incredible, no one else had wanted to explain it to me before. That same day at the Houston Gold Eschange, they quoted me the same coins for 250 USD less each one !!! If I hadnt gone with Brian I would have lost $ 1,000 on the sale of four coins.In addition to being a very friendly person, who takes time to explain and serve the customer, Brian also speaks Spanish and can serve anyone who speaks Spanish.
