We wanted to have our wedding save the dates capture our personality, likes and wanted to use someone local and we, of course, picked JC because we love his cards and store (every single card I have ever gotten from my fiancé has come from here). JC worked with us on every detail for the most perfect save the date that all of our guests have raved about. He also helped us have a coordinating thank you for the guests as well. All of his cards in store are so great too, there is really something for everyone!

Unique shop with cool, original takes on the classic greeting/ birthday card. This is my go to place for buying cards that I want to be more personable for family and friends. You wont find cards like these anywhere else and the people you gift them too will wonder where you got it! The owner/ manager is welcoming and always willing to help. I moved to San Antonio from Houston last year and I still order all my cards through Anvils online shop. Prompt shipping and delivery. There is no expectation on my end for anything but the cards I ordered, however, I almost always receive a hand-written thank you and/ or cool stickers to go along with my order. Just one more example of how Anvil cards continues to be a local, small batch store with a BIG impact! Good vibes all around.

I visit Anvil Cards whenever I need a card thats extra special or unique and I can always find something thats perfect for the occasion. They have high quality cards, great customer service, and affordable prices. More than once Ive given someone the same mass-produced birthday card that they have received from someone else, that doesnt happen when I get them a card made here! The fun Houston and Texas-themed birthday cards are a hit when I give them. You can feel the difference in the quality of these cards and even the envelopes. The sympathy/support cards have just the right feel without being over-the-top. The bluebonnet card line is my favorite.

Ive always loved visiting Anvil Cards, and this week I realized I was low on cards, stickers and gift wrap, so I ordered online. It showed up immediately, beautifully packaged, with a couple of freebies and a lovely handwritten note. Anvil Cards is a Houston treasure and where you should absolutely be filling all of your stationary/sticker/pins/etc needs.

Houston’s gem. The store carries a lot of original design cards, a lot of them Houston-themed. I also ordered custom cards as a going away gift for my coworkers. JC worked his magic and turned my rough idea into fabulous prints. 100% recommend Anvil Cards for souvenirs, cards, and custom design prints for the special ones in your life!

A true Houston gem. It is overflowing with wonderful handmade, from the heart products that have given my family and friends so much joy. Here I purchased my favorite Astros shirt (it reads “Josè Puede” haha!), a many a Willie Nelson themed items, stocking stuffer/water bottle stickers, and countless cards that inspired me to say what I previously couldn’t put into words.Not only are their products superb, but the customer service is unmatchable.Several weekends ago a friend and I popped over to our restock cards after seeing our tailor next door. She had never been there and mentioned it would be so cool if a specific card had her Aunt’s name printed on it. JC overheard, and took the card to the back and printed her aunt’s name on the card FOR FREE. Little details like that make sentimental items like such even more meaningful.So the next time you’re about to rush to purchase a run-of-the-mill, $7 card from CVS, consider going a bit out of the way to Anvil. It will be well worth the trip and you will most definitely leave with at least one card, a stupid grin, and satisfaction that you supported a fantastic local business.

I discovered a Houston treasure today called Anvil Cards! They have a huge selection of THE most unique made-on-site cards! Their selection is huge, ranging from all things Houston (!) to politics and love. They have a very unique selection of gifts to go with the cards, but really the cards are so cool that they’re a gift in themselves! Another bonus is that the prices are affordable and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!

This is probably my favorite store in Houston. Anytime you need a unique gift check them out first. They have an array of hand designed greeting cards, stickers, gift wrap etc.so much of it is Houston specific which is great for moving away gifts or sending care packages to homesick family and friends. I love their topo chico gift wrap. It’s so cute!

Nice place, good vibe. When I walked in, the proprietor came over to help. I asked for a couple of cards I needed for upcoming events and he got me a couple great looking and original designs that were just what I needed. I plan to go back for a T-shirt or two.

Cool stuff, but exceptionally rude employees that will go out of their way to be condescending to their customers. They apparently pay no heed to the words “give love” that’s written on their store front. What a shame.
