Decided to try these guys out for a transfer as the place I have used in the past is not close to my current residence. I was very happy with their service and will be using them for all of my transfers moving forward. Good people!

The complete staff at Black Gold is great. If they dont have it, they will get it for you. They are knowledgeable on all types of firearms. Gordon and Charles make you feel at home and do their best to help you select the right firearm, to fit each individuals needs and purpose. A small gun shop is better especially one that is family owned. They greet and please their customers not like the big chain gun dealers. Their prices are great, they have a large selection of new and used firearms, and the service is fantastic....what more is there to say.

Do not own a gun and went in to learn. Staff was very helpful and explained to me the difference on some guns I had inquiries about. No pressure to purchase and said come back after I have fired a few and to call them when I have made a decision.

I have purchased several pistols, an assault rifle, scopes, ammo and hunting rifles from Black Gold Guns. I also bought a gun safe there. As far as the staff goes, Gordon, Charles and Jimmy. I do not know what more a person could want. They know their stuff and they treat everyone like friends and family.I read the review, about the man stating it was someones living room.Actually the business is a nice 4 bedroom brick home that has been converted to a business. Not someones living room. The weapon area is actually an over sized den section of the former residence. There is a service area to work on weapons, book keeping office, store rooms, a gun safe show room, rifles, pistols, and ammo. Hunting supplies, gear etc. etc...I do not know what anyone could want more in a gun store.I happened to be present he day the goofy customer called the police. All I can nicely say is, he is the kind of customer that no one can make happy, He doesnt need to own a firearm. He called the police and told them there was a disturbance with a weapon involved. Needless to say there were several police cars that showed up. What he forgot to tell them that it was a goofy customer complaining about his gun so he called the police.

This shop may be small, but they have a good selection of nice guns, and good prices. I recently bought several pistols from them, and their prices are competitive with Academy Sports, which says a lot for a small, independently owned gun shop in the current gun-crazy climate (February of 2013). They offer reasonably priced FFL transfers, and will do Class 3 transfers as well.

The guys that run this place are top notch. Too bad every gun they sell is at least 10-20% higher than everyone else. Id do a lot more shopping with them if their prices werent so high...like Gander Mountain high.

Great place to buy a weapon or accessories. The service is outstanding. They know exactly what they are talking about and have an outstanding knowledge base about weapons and pritection.
