What a wonderful experience we had at the Memorial Area Shade Tree! Suzette was so knowledgeable and helpful! We learned so much about lamps that day. Love my updated lampshades, finials and how refreshed my vintage lamps look!

We have been going to The Shade Tree for years. Its a bright spot ! We brought a lamp in for repair, it was repaired in 10 minutes! I dont expect a turn around that fast every time, but it is certainly nice to know there is a place I can go that will give me excellent service and prioritize my needs.

Well stocked, but the lady who helped me was the best. Knew what I was asking for and how to do it. The work bench was perhaps they most impressive because of thoroughly used it looked, and how well equipped.

I came here to replace the shade on my antique lamp. After much searching, the sales associate found a silk shade for $200. I liked it and wanted to buy it, just wanted to make sure I would like it on the lamp and in the room. I asked for a couple of hours to take it home and think about it. They said no. I said I was almost sure it would work and offered to pay in full if they would just let me bring it back the same day in the unlikely case it didnt work. They said they would only allow an exchange. For what? This was the only shade that worked! So I ended up walking out and going straight to the lamp store in my neighborhood. The owner there gave me 4 shades to try without even taking my cc number! One was perfect, and $50 cheaper! Good for me, bad for The Shade Tree.

I have been a long time resident of the west Houston area and have purchased lamp shades at the Memorial location twice. The first set of shades that I purchased lasted 20 years and might have lasted longer if one of my lamps hadnt been knocked over. I recently purchased 3 more shades that are beautiful and fit my decor perfectly. I could have bought cheaper shades elsewhere but I returned for the quality of the products that the Shade Tree stocks. I had no problem with the customer service. The associate was great and even had another store send a shade to match. As their website states, you really should bring in your lamp for the best fit.

I had a table lamp that stopped working so I brought it in. The lady was very helpful and knew right away it was the socket. She told me my options, all of which I thought were reasonably priced I selected my option and left it for service. It was finally ready about 5 days later. Im very happy with the cost and repair of my lamp ($8.50 3-way socket + $18 for labor).

We have been doing business with The Shade Tree for many years and they have been very helpful to the clients we have sent them in locating the right shade for their lamps. Very helpful and fast.
