Let me start off by saying how wonderful the gentleman is inside this establishment. My daughter had broke her glasses completely. Since she lives on her own and pays her own bills, she forgot to get one thing under her belt. Insurance. So being her mom, I knew I had to do something to help her so she could see. I called many different places only to be told that their was nothing they could do to help. That was until I call this establishment. That gentleman has his own on-site lab and was able to replace the same script she already has (with the purchase of frames which were on sale and good on the pocketbook). Thanks to him, my daughter can see clearly. She was so happy as her old pair was very scratched up and the frames were completely unrepairable. I suggest visiting this location as soon as you can and show some much needed love to their store and services. FYI, thank to my care credit (which he accepts) not only paid for her current pair, but an exam for her on Monday as well as a second pair of frames. Thank you Eye Xcessaries for helping my daughter.
I have been a customer of EyeXcessories for over a decade and a half and recently went to a different optometrist (Dr. Collins in Vandalia who is excellent by the way) for my new prescription as the open appointments slots at EyeXcessories didnt work with my work schedule. I had already chosen a nice pair of glasses from them as they always have lots of stylish and beautiful choices and wanted to take my new prescription back to EyeXcessories. I asked my new doctor if it would be okay and he replied, you will be in good hands, Ray does great work! So there you have it, I received excellent service from two great professionals and couldnt be happier.
I was looking for a local place to take my kids. The doctor who performed the exam seemed nice. Lasted all of 10 minutes. The owner was rude and inappropriate. The facilities just felt and looked sketchy walking in. Being called baby by the owner, he seemed agitated when I needed a minute to think over the pricing and frames. 1 turnabout available with minimal options for my daughter to choose from. Seemed like they only had recycled frames to choose from, Not kid friendly. To add the glare coverage he tried to charge the exact same price as the frames. He seemed even more agitated with the more questions I asked. He seemed offended when I asked for a receipt showing the charges. I have always received from other eye doctors with no hesitation. I immediately said no thank, we would be finding a different facility, so we left with a flimsy exam and no glasses. We went to a different facility I told them of my experience, of course they said they have heard terrible stories of this place before. I paid for a new exam, completely different prescription for glasses. They had reasonable pricing and great customer service as there should be. Im glad I did not allow them to charge my insurance for frames with an inaccurate prescription. Im a firm believer in customer service, luckily We found a great new optometrist the same day and EyeXcessories Im amazed is still in business.
Got my Gucci glasses last year.. The staff are truly helpful and very nice will be going back my kids and I... ❤️
Ive been a long-time customer of Eye-X Optical at Huber Heights. Reys been my go-to-guy for all my vision needs for years. Ive consistently received great and friendly service and would never consider going anywhere else. Rey consistently offers a surprisingly robust selection of frames and lenses that I always receive a good deal on.When it comes to glasses, Im a real sticklier for getting everything just right. Just completed purchases of replacement progressive up-scale lenses, new computer glasses, and replacement frames for my back-up progressives. Rey nailed everything.....perfect fit, perfect focal point for the transition from single vision to reading, perfect customer service. Couldnt ask for more! Thanks a bunch!!
I had great service here. The staff was very helpful. I was looking for a very particular style and brand of frames for my glasses, and they did everything they could to help me find what i was looking for. They ordered them in and had them ready for me very quickly. I will be going back for my next pair.
Horrible customer service. I ordered contact through their website. They did not fit like my previous contacts. I contacted the manufacturer of the lenses. The manufacturer was willing to replace the lenses at no charge. They just needed approval from Eye X Optical. The representative from the manufacturer called me back and told me they would not give approval and Steve was not helpful. When I called back to find out why they were not giving approval, they told me they had given approval and they were not going to spend any more time on the issue. They had already spent 20 minutes on it last night. They said it was a manufacturer defect and they were not responsible and would not help me out.
MORE THAN SATISFIED! The doctor here took his time with a real eye examination. The staff was very knowledgable and very very helpful. This store has an AMAZING selection of Frames. Liked that it was a locally owned Practice, i will never go to a branched chain eye mart again. They took their time, i didnt feel rushed through my vision health. And i have never owned a better pair of Glasses. Recommend to everyone will return. Thanks Rey!
Not a place I would go back. They wouldnt allow me to get my contacts. It had been a year and he said he threw them away. This is even after I paid almost $90. No credit or anything. The woman dr is very nice. The staff is very rude and over charges.
My husband had exam, which was just fine. BUT after was terrible. Rey RUDE. He ended up at another optometrist, who said his bifocals were off. Thats why he was having difficulties seeing. He contacted Rey, needed note, which he got. Husband goes in and Rey says give me your Visa Ill refunded your money and you can go wherever you want. Wouldnt recommend this eye office to our worst enemy.

I stopped in to schedule an appointment... the lady was kind and helpful so I scheduled one for myself for one day and two for other people on another day...she told me to call 24 hrs in advance to confirm. I did that. Somehow I managed to miss my appointment after realizing that I called and apologized and attempted to reschedule the male that was on the phone was condescending sarcastic and unprofessional.. I completely assume ownership for missing the appointment which means time however this place over books anyway...WHY SO RUDE....
Wish I could post pictures of how terrible my sons lenses are right now! After returning 3 times to have them fit correctly. Cut a huge chunk out of corner and not sure its even the right script ( much thicker than 1st set) after a 10 day wait and with frames in his hand while cutting had the nerve to hand them to me messed up! Disgusted!!!
The service was excellent! They waited on my daughter as soon as we walked in the door. Super friendly people and the service was great.
At first everything was fine. I called, made an apt for day that I wanted. Was being seen for a contact exam, the staff seemed to be irritaed with me because I needed a couple follow-ups because I wasnt comfortable with my contacts they carried. When I finally got my Rx and ordered by contacts, I was told that if I ordered 6 months worth I wouldnt have to pay anything because I still had funds left over for my allowance through my vision insurance. And if I ordered a years worth Id only have to pay $42, so thats what I ended up doing. Well a week or so later when I went to pick up my contacts I was told differently. I was checked out by Rey Malonjao the Founder and CEO of the company. He was non-caring nor helpful at all. He was making it out like it was my problem I was told WRONG by his employees and didnt offer to make things right or anything. This was the FIRSt and LAST time I will ever use them. The doc I seen Dr. Colvin however was nice and pleasant but didnt seem to listen when I told him my contacts were blurry. Next time I will be taking myself and $$$ to Eye-Mart like I should have in the first place.
My eye exam was great with Kristin Mcdougall. No bad experience there. She was EXCELLENT! The problem lies with Rey Malonjao. In my opinion, he lies, is a smooth talker, comes on too friendly, and overcharged me. I feel he was very pushy and made a statement that Walmart does not make the lenses I need, so why go there? (I had questioned their prices and said I might go look there.) He said I would get a good deal, but I was not allowed to use a coupon since I had insurance. Gee, thats a good way to rip off the insurance companies. In itemizing everything for me, he quoted me that my cost would be $240 after insurance, said it was less than I had paid the last time. When he rang me up, the price jumped to $290.03. I received a little receipt that didnt have anything itemized. I questioned that and was told it was tax. I should have cancelled the transaction right there, but I didnt; my fault. When I went in to pick up my glasses today (two weeks later), I stated I wanted a copy of my prescription along with an itemized receipt. Another man wrote my prescription on a little card; he would not give me a copy of the exam. Why? I paid for it! I questioned the extra charge, and he stated thats what they pay us. I replied that I was the one paying that portion, not my insurance, and something was shady. He went to get Rey who then came over to try to sweet talk me (again, IMHO), and I questioned him on the charges. I again asked for a copy of the paperwork they had and was told I couldnt have it. He stated what I paid was for tax; however that amount does not come close to what I should have paid on my share and does not match the full price before insurance either. I told him I feel I was ripped off and asked about their refund policy. He told me I could not get a refund; everything had already gone through; there is nothing he can do other than offer me different frames or lenses, if defective or if I didnt like them. I told him he lost a customer, I would never come back, and I will report him to my insurance company, that there was shady dealings going on.DO NOT go to this place as you WILL get ripped off! I fully intend to report this business to my insurance company as I believe they are overcharging, and there is some hanky panky going on. Stick to Walmart!
Our exam was great but they lost our perscriptions then after 10 days hadnt sent them in. So they finnaly come in and my daughters frames r all out of shape and have a chunk missing. Mine were just display frame where they didnt put the perscription lenses in so they sent mine back in and its been a week now. I called and they said they might be in this week they r not sure. So all in all. Exames here r great. Perscriptions not so great
