Wow I would give the service department more stars if I could. I felt I was in great hands. Fast, knowledgeable & honest. Plan ahead they are busy & for good reason. Website is a wealth of information & easy to navigate.

I rented a power washer and I had to return it because it did not work as suppose to be.No pressure (same as my garden hose). The rental contract says if returned in 1 hour you get total refund. You should know they do not respect their own rule. The vendor insinuated I got the job done in less than an hour ...I am a neighbor of Hudson and I prefer local businesses but I never come back again to Robinson Hardware and Rental.

Dont even think about bringing an RV here for a propane fill. Despite the website saying that they fill RV tanks, they dont. Even if they did, it would be a challenge to get any full size motorhome into their propane area.

Weve been going to Robinsons Hardware in Hudson for over 15 years. One of the ways small businesses can compete with the large box store chains is to provide superior customer service. I decided to try their service department by having my lawn mower tuned up prior to the season. Since it is a large deck mower, they picked it up at my house. The original estimate for a tune up that I was given was 2-3 weeks. (prior to COVID disrupting everything)They had my mower for 10 weeks. The only time they reached out to me on their own over those 10 weeks, without me calling first, was to tell me that it was going to cost $200 more than the original estimate. When I did call to get a status update I was told “we’ll call you when it is ready!”.Well they never called me to tell me it was ready and my lawn mower was dropped off at my house yesterday. It was missing a major piece, the cover that goes over the deck belt. I’m surprised that this made it past whatever review process they have before it was returned to me as this missing part really stands out.If customer service is something that’s important to you, I would take your business somewhere else based on my experience.

Their rental center is one of the best around. My always go to for any piece of equipment I need but dont own.

I had my gasoline jack hammer fixed by Robinson’s. Steve was great to work with and my machine was done in a timely fashion. It’s hard to find good people to work on small machines, I’ll definitely be back with other small engines!

This place is great. Customer service is amazing! I called in to see if they stocked welding wire and they went to check while I waited on the line. Super fast response and they had my .06mm mig welding wire in stock. Im surprised they had it in store.I called Lowes before Robinson and they told me they believe they do stock welding wire, They refused to give me a yes or no answer no matter how hard I tried.I feel they just wanted to get me to drive down in hopes I would just buy something cause I already made the drive 😒

Never had a problem with them before until I rented compressor with hammer, only kept it for less than one hour cause not able to fit in space but got charges for full price $330. OH Yes they returned $5.00 ?? Lost my business and will NOT recommend !!Should only been charged for $45.00 for chisel $45.00 point = $90.00Not $322.66!!!!!

I had a wonderful time at Robinson hardware employee Tim Gray was helpful with his service. One employee named George seemed in a really bad mood though, and didn’t even say bye as I left the store.

I tore my screen about two months ago and noticed that this store got good reviews. I brought the screen in to be repaired and had to pay for the work upfront and in full. I was told it would take approx. 6 weeks. Two months later I did not hear anything so I called and was told it was not done and did not know the status of it. I was informed I would be called the following week. I received a call a week later and was told they only had two pieces of my screen and asked if I had the other two. I had dropped off all of the parts of my screen, so they had lost two parts. I was also informed that they couldnt fix the screen. In addition to losing parts of my screen, I have now waited over two months to be told it cant be fixed! I am not sure why I was not informed of this when I dropped the screen off. I am extremely frustrated, especially since I have to go pick up what is left of my screen that was not lost, and go somewhere else to get a new screen. This will now take more time out of my schedule AND I still cant open my window because I dont have a screen.

So I went to Home Depository and the Lowesome place, neither had what I needed nor even has someone friendly enough to actually help. I guess having what I needed helped. The young man who helped me, he took ownership of finding a solution and gathered the answers I needed. Yes, he out charmed his friendly fellow workers and enabled me to solve two problems that were nagging my to-do list for weeks. Wish my hometown had a store as great as this.

I have been doing business with the always friendly and helpful people at the Hudson MA store for 20 years. The store has high quality and good various products for all seasons. It is conveniently located downtown with plenty of parking space.

They say time is money, right? So dont waste you time at a big box orange or blue home improvement place looking minutes on end for some help and/or items...or run into a surly, disinterested or not very knowledgeable employee. Here you get immediate, courteous and friendly personalized attention, help and fulfillment the moment you walk in the door! :-) They have it all, and are attentive and well organized. I did say friendly too right?! How can you go wrong? Robinsons a family owned neighborhood hardware store (multi-generation) that really cares...and delivers. And they have Saturday refreshments too... :-) Lots to be said about patronizing local business too thats worthy of YOUR business...and time.

I have gone to Robinsons for 20 years. I have often gone in with a problem and no real solution in mind, and almost every time they have helped me solve a problem with know-how and creative thinking. Whether its Kim or Greg, or now the next generation, they are always thinking, always helpful and they know every inch of their store. Its a true neighborhood store, and I mean that in the best possible way.

I found this place after constantly being told by Lowes employees that I would have to go to Robinsons Hardware to find what I want. Robinsons had what I wanted, everyone who worked there was super friendly and helpful, and in the future I will shop here first.**They copy smart car keys (with the chips in them) at a huge discount over what the dealership wants to charge you. I got my car key copied at half of what my dealership wanted and saved $90.

Tried ordering a bar through them for a chainsaw. Had to call 3 times asking them to place the order. On the third call I finally gave up and ordered it elsewhere. Very unprofessional.

Bought a gas line filter for scooter, found it was to big brought it back in unopened bag and got a full refund.Only drawback I have for not giving them a 5 star was I bought special ordered parts for my snowblower engine and person working on my snowblower found I had a bent shaft in my old engine and so the engine was no good. Person bought a new engine for my snowblower and New parts were never put on old engine, read the receipt: No Refunds for special ordered parts. Now I have to try and sell the parts and get the money I put out for the parts, because of a No Refund for special parts ordered receipt.

The workers are very respectful, kind, and know what their doing. The place is very clean and organized for a hardware store.

Bought a new Stihl Chainsaw here a few weeks back. Good knowledgable people and plenty to choose from. They helped me set the saw up and walked me through how to use it and care for it properly. They also set it up with oil and gas to get started. I am heading back this weekend to ask them to service our snowblower. This is a great local store.
